Not a good choice

Old hotel, no possibility to have fresh air in the ground level. Old furniture.We arrived during a very hot day and the room was closed for some time, so the temperature was probably about 40. Bathroom smelled chlorine chemistry. We shortened our stay to 1 night (instead of 2), and we didn’t regret, although we paid for 2.

We were a team of 34 young people. But the entire team made us feel very homely. The facility was about 23 minutes walk from the Eurostar terminal. The building itself is not that old, it has been maintained well. Breakfast was good. On the downside, the rooms had no air conditioning. Mobile fans though were made available in each room.

Good: Our room is great and kitchen has adequate utensils. Room is clean.
Bad: we stayed for 5 days and we only have 4-coffee filters for 3 people at check-in. You have to pay 1£ each if you need more for the rest of your stay. No hot water for 1-day and toilet just stopped working but staff fixed it right away.

Fair hotel within walking distance to the town centre. It appears to be going through a bit of a refresh - which is needed as some of the carpets are dirty and worn. Once these items are updated - I think it will be a decent hotel.

Really annoyed that I couldn't open the windows or balcony door to get fresh air, and they had used some kind of spray or powder on the carpet and it was so pungent that I struggled to breath.

there was no bar or beer for sale either.

Great middle size appartment

I went there with my mother and brother. We had a great stay. It is 20 min walk from the city center. It has two tv's (living and bedroom) with cromecast such that you can watch Netflix or YouTube on the tv from your phone.

Good, but you said we were 4 adults (not mentioning that 3 were under 18). As a result even my youngest child of 10 had to pay a tax of Lille of 1.65 Euro per day for being in Lille. We got it back because I understand the law and fought against it in the end.
You need to clarify who do you call adult. When did children count as adult. Shame on you!!

Please do better next time.

Nice premises, some small improvements would help

Whilst the building is a little out of the way, the area is quite, although you will get some traffic noise if you open the window from the nearby major roads. The rooms are a good size and have a small stove and microwave. The WiFi is good and the staff are generally OK, although a smile would help. A vending machine is in the foyer, but a coffee machine would be good. Cleaning could also be improved, some of the sinks were blocked.

The hotel is very easy to find. It’s 2 minutes from the main road network and 5 minutes from the Lille Metro in a mainly residential area of Lille but still only a 20 minute walk into the city centre. The room I had was fine, fairly basic with a small kitchenette and a separate bedroom and with a sofa bed made up for more than two guests, but had everything you need for a short stay. My stay was just for one night. Parking is underneath the hotel, is secure and reasonably priced and there is more pay and display parking on the street outside although it is more expensive than the hotel parking. Reception and therefore the hotel is closed between Noon and 2pm apart from guests already checked in. Breakfast was adequate and plentiful. All in all it was good especially for the price and I would stay here again.

Apart from the corridors resembling something like a cell block it was an ok stay. Everything was a little tired, and the carpet in the 'living room' was rather grubby. But for the price paid the location was perfect to conduct business at the Grand Palais. Most of the 'guests' are obviously long-stay residents seeking cheap accomodation for many weeks at a time, so the facilities reflect the pricing. That said i would consider staying again if in the same area on business for a couple of days.

Generally speaking, it is disappointing. The pictures are much more modern than the hotel looks. Room smaller than the photos appear, smell of cooking, and noisy neighbours. Would not recommend to a friend.

No hot water for showers. Every detail is charged for including Wi-Fi and cleaning the kitchen/removing trash after your stay. I would not recommend. I paid for a premium room and it was still dirty (crumbs on the floor etc) upon arrival.

Lille has many features and very friendly.

Better suited for business people, and not really for me at my age. A little bit out of the way for me. Certain disappointments. No extra rubbish bags in room. Needed a spare plug in kitchen for coffee machine. No rubbish bin in bedroom. Some of the cups and cutlery were not cleaned properly as also the coffee machine. Unpleasant 'stench' in my bathroom during the night and early morning. More spare toilet paper (just in case needed). I have always in the past enjoyed my stay at Appart City but this time I did feel the cutbacks due probably to the drop in tourists to France at the moment. I did have difficulty in eating and I felt more comfortable staying in an apartment hotel. Fortunately for me now this is no longer the case. The hotel staff were absolutely excellent, very friendly and helpful to me. Especially as I am there mainly to improve my French.

Hotel room okay except there's no window and no air cond/fan. So room was very stuffy. The door at the balcony has to be opened but all the rooms shared the same balcony. Thus we did not feel safe leaving it open when we slept.

Le personnel d'étage est tellement pressé de faire votre chambre avant votre heure de départ qu'ils viennent vérifier si vous êtes là (alors que vous avez laissé le \"Ne pas déranger\" sur la porte) pendant que vous êtes au petit-déjeuner... Et tellement déçu que vous ne soyez pas déjà parti qu'il laisse votre porte de chambre ouvert avec tous vos effets à la portée de tous !

Wir sind von Marriott sehr enttäuscht. Ich hätte nicht erwartet, dass diese Hotelkette so wenig tierfreundlich ist. Der einzige Grund, warum sie es überhaupt erlauben, einen Hund im Zimmer zu haben, scheint zu sein, dass sie die zusätzlichen Gebühren dafür einstreichen wollen.
Die Unannehmlichkeiten begannen bereits beim Check-in: 10 € für das Haustier plus 50 € zusätzliche Reinigungsgebühren. Die Extragebühren wegen des Hundes kamen für uns völlig überraschend, da sie weder auf der Website des Hotels noch auf der Seite von Hotels.com erwähnt wurden.

An der Rezeption diskutierten die Mitarbeiter eine ganze Stunde mit uns darüber. Schließlich willigte ich, vor allem wegen unserer Kinder und des Hundes, widerwillig ein. Die 10 € Gebühr war mir bekannt, da ich dachte, diese sei für das intensivere Staubsaugen des Raumes gedacht. Schließlich werden die Bettbezüge ohnehin nach jedem Gast gewechselt. Unser Hund schläft auf dem Boden auf ihrer eigenen Decke , nicht im Bett, und bekommt im Hotel weder Wasser noch Futter.
Das Beste war, dass wir unser Frühstück an der Rezeption einnehmen mussten, weil wir mit unserem Hund nicht ins Restaurant durften. Unser Hund ist ein kleiner Spitz, wiegt nur 3 kg und ist äußerst brav und gut erzogen. 😇

Das Frühstück selbst war sehr abwechslungsreich.

Een zeer verzorgde kamer met klein maar bruikbaar keukentje. Goed te regelen verwarming en 2 tv toestellen met chromecast voorziening zodat je je eigen programmatie kan afspelen.
Goede wifi. Supermarkt op 300m en voldoende parkeerplaats rondom het gebouw.

Point positif : L’hôtel est situé à proximité du zenith et à 20 minutes à pied du centre. Il y a un parking sécurisé payant pour y laisser la voiture.
Point négatif : la chambre dans laquelle on dormait avait une odeur désagréable et un bruit de ventilation constant ce qui était un peu dérangeant pour dormir.
