The room was nice and really clean. I didn’t expect not to have service in my room however we were able to connect to the wifi. I guess now thinking about it was nice to disconnect. If you get the fireplace patio, I suggest to just have someone come and turn it on as you check in as it’s something to easily forget and once the front desk is closed, you can’t have someone turn on the fire pit. Bring bug spray for sure to enjoy sitting outside. Don’t forget your ID for the pool! the pool is part of the bar. The bar food was really good btw, the fish tacos were so good! & don’t forget to use your $15 dollar food credit daily! Otherwise you’ll miss out on your credit for the day. The ice cream at check in office is so good! Use your free ice cream voucher! They give you a parking pass which is cool. Overall I felt safe! neighborhood was decent. The rooftop bar was cute. A lot of cute photo spots. As picky as i am, i’d comeback, I really enjoyed myself overall. I loved the exclusivity of it, the vibes and ambiance was cool and modern. This was a spontaneous bday weekend getaway and I got lucky, turned out better than expected! the robe in the room was a plus! I’d get the room with the fire pit poolside patio again! it’s an open view shower btw! ( like your roommate would have to step
outside to avoid seeing you naked lol) but if your with your hunny this is perfect! (;

I didn’t get a chance to visit the bar but it definitely stayed busy. The hotel is a unique design with little parking. The location is in the middle of everything so it’s a convenient location. I would stay there again.

Good things about the property: beautiful landscaping, $15 credit per day for food/drinks at the pool or upstairs bar, one waiter at the pool was exceptionally good at his job, restaurants within walking distance, private patio with the fire pit was our favorite feature.

Not so good things, $29 resort fee, no coffee maker or microwave in the room so restaurant leftovers had to be trashed, cannot bring your own food/drinks to the pool (more money on top of the $29 resort fee), and 2 staff members were particularly rude. The male checking us in seemed pained to do his job and told us nothing about reserving a lounger at the pool, failed to explain the $15 credit, and when asking about checkout (b/c we would be leaving at 5am) he replied to \"read my room key.\" This man needs some training on hospitality if he continues in the industry. Ditto for a young lady working at the pool. Very rudely questioned my being there not once, not twice, not thrice, but 4 times all within 3 hours. She acted like she'd never seen me. I did just walk in b/c she was busy checking in new guest b/c I was not wasting valuable vacay time standing in line at a property I paid to be at.

In short, this place was not for me. I prefer a pool where I can BYOB, including milk. Also, when I pay a resort fee, I expect the place to function as a resort. Nothing really wrong with the place; however, throwing away good food due to no option to reheat and paying money to drink by the pool are not my jive.

A mixed bag. The room was spacious, had a great balcony that was, unfortunately, unusable, the A/C worked well and was quiet, and the hotel location was excellent for our planned activities for the week. A couple of things that could have/should have been better: the closet/storage space available was inadequate. I don't recall ever staying in a hotel room that had less storage space. It was very hot for the month of March, so the only way we could reasonably make use of the balcony was for the ceiling fan to be operational, which it wasn't. We reported the problem but it wasn't fixed. Although we paid for parking via their resort fee, one day there were no spots available. We had to park off site and walk to the hotel. I found this unacceptable, particularly when most of the cars in the lot had no parking pass visible on their dash. They need to monitor this better. Finally, beware that unless you request it, you won't get daily maid service. We were not told this when we checked in and the maid only came by twice during the six days we were there.

Nice simple room in a tall downtown building.
Valet Parking with prompt return when you call the desk from your room. Grab n go breakfast choices and complimentary coffee.
Across the elevator lobby is a good Mediterranean restaurant/bar. We enjoyed a steak salad, a kebab plate, and a hummus appetizer.
The only concern I had was that the shower floor tile was slippery and I had to be cautious.

This is the cutest boho boutique hotel, loved the room, shower was excellent. We had a great time at the pool/hot tub every day. Chef Paul and bartender Brenden were fantastic, we loved the food and super yummy drinks. The vibe here is the best and we will definitely be back.

Employees at the Rise Uptown are super friendly; the property is nice, clean and conveniently located. The hotel, however, is undergoing some changes in the management of the pool, bars and kitchen. Consequently, those areas seem to be terribly understaffed and will likely stay that way until the new team gets things the way they want them. Because of the chaos, we were promised free drinks at the rooftop bar by the manager but did not receive them. Instead, we were treated to the sound of someone running the upstairs hallways in heavy work boots every night until the rooftop bar closed. It was annoying. They seem like capable people, so I expect that they will get their act together. But during our brief stay, it wasn't as nice as it could have been.

Pool area beautiful. Trees left leaves on cushions,but everything else, very clean. When we were there restaurant poolside not open, as change in management,but bars were and it'd be fun to go back and stay again to eat poolside and Say When rooftop bar. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Toasted Owl cafe and Tesato both great places to eat, with a block or two. No coffee in rooms but Cartel coffee connected to poolside.and they have great coffee and breakfast sandwiches. Our room's shower took 10 minutes to warm up. We did report it, and they said maintenance did something with it, but nothing changed. We just ran the water til it warmed up. We'd definitely go back. It is right off Camelback Road,so there is lots of traffic that goes by and that bothered my husband who has hearing aides,more than myself. Bed was very comfortable. Cute place.

We booked this hotel specifically for the pool. We found out less than 48 hours before that the pool would be closed for cleaning. This meant we couldn’t get a refund and book somewhere else with a pool. The rooftop bar was also closed. There was not much else to do around the hotel that was in walking distance especially in the heat. Overall, very disappointed with this hotel especially when they continued to hype of the pool days before our stay only to suddenly say it was being deep cleaned.

We had a lovely time during our stay.

We stayed in a room with a firepit but unfortunately, it did not work for the length of our stay which was a HUGE bummer. We asked for support twice. The first time, a staff member was sent but had no fix. They did not follow-through on ongoing requests for support. We paid extra for this room so this was definitely a let down.

Otherwise, we loved the pool and amenities. The hotel was set up super beautifully. We would recommend staying poolside. The staff at Say When and Lylo's was INCREDIBLE and positively impacted our stay. Brendon and Luis's positive energy and friendliness was noted, and they checked on us regularly to ensure we were having a good time. Paul is the chef and stopped by several times to see how we were enjoying our eats and drinks - really personable and cool.

The pool was not very busy during our stay which was nice. Kind of wish the shades could be removed during the day for maximum sun time, but overall, amazing environment. Managed well.

The room and most amenities were fine. A $15 dollar credit per night per room at the rooftop bar was promised with the reservation, but only when the bill was charged to the room. When we paid with credit card by mistake, the bar staff was unwilling to void the charge and charge to room instead. The front desk was also unwilling, pointing the finger back at the bar staff. Both sides blamed the other; neither did the right thing and honored the promised $15 per room credit.

This hotel was misleading, as it was NOT a 4-star hotel as advertised. There was not a coffee maker in the room, (or microwave to heat up leftover dinner- important as there is no available breakfast). There was not daily housekeeping, Don Woods bar had no food, mixers, or even drink garnish.
The pool and hotel had a good vibe, but the lack of amenities make it 3-star at best.

Rooms were great. Loved the mid century modern vibe. Parking was a nightmare, got 2 vouchers for free popsicles upon check-in, but they were out of popsicles our entire stay of 5 days. They were supposed to bring us a bottle of prosecco on our first night. Never received it. Our room was directly under the rooftop bar and next to the public bathroom for the bar, so we got to hear drunk people arguing and slamming doors all night long. Pool area was great. Great, fun vibe there.

Just a clean, cute and safe place to stay. Does it look as great as the pictures make it out to look? Of course not, but that’s how it goes and that’s why I’m doing this review. I haven’t been to this part of Arizona and as we came into town and headed to Rise, we were a little concerned. Then we found the place and as soon as we walked in the doors, we were put to ease immediately. We usually like a microwave and a coffee maker in a hotel room, but it wasn’t needed for this trip and I actually read reviews (and the information provided on their website) so it wasn’t a surprise and the fridge is all we actually needed and it was adorable to boot. The front office girls that were working when we arrived early Friday morning around 9 AM (So, so sorry, we forgot their names) were super sweet and so helpful. They told us where to go to try and relax while we waited for a room to possibly become available before the normal check-in time. We had been traveling all night and one of us was fighting a cold and rest was needed before a very long Saturday. We had a bite to eat and a drink by the pool/hot tub and within about an hour, we got a text that a room was ready. The room was perfect for us and the overall experience for two nights was exactly what it should be. It was a bit noisy. (We were directly under the rooftop restaurant and there was wedding drama). We actually like ambient noise, so it was perfectly noisy to us. Everyone that worked there was amazing. Thank you guys!!!

Rise Uptown Hotel has strong advertising and plenty of potential. We were especially excited about the unique touches that set it apart as a boutique hotel. We visited in February, which may have contributed to some of the issues we encountered.

Upon arrival, the pop stand was empty (no popsicles available) and the chairs in the common areas were stacked up. The pool was dirty and the daybeds and loungers had visible staining. The hallway leading to our room had carpeting that appeared unclean. Our first impression was that while this may have been a neat and unique place years ago, it now felt run down and in need of some TLC/upkeep.

Our room itself was clean and relatively comfortable. It was hard not to notice that it lacked some basic amenities such as a coffee machine and microwave.

We had high hopes based on the hotel’s branding and reputation, but the experience did not meet our expectations. The staff was kind and courteous, honouring our request to cancel some of the nights we had planned to stay.

Pretty terrible stay. Room thermostat didn’t work and was extremely hot inside. Had to leave the balcony door open. Lights flickered on and off and water pressure was terrible. Rooftop bar not open and only open 4 days of the week. The key did not work to the pool area. Jacuzzi was Luke warm. Check-in was unwelcoming and indifferent.

I love the location and vibe of this hotel! The rooms are clean, quiet and comfy. The nearby restaurants rock. The pool area is beautiful. I’ve stayed here several times….but two things hold them back from being a top pick for me and first time visitors should know. 1- they have no coffee maker in the rooms. I assume this is because they want to drive people to use their coffee shop on site, but it is expensive, limited in selection….and worst of all doesn’t open til 7am! 2- Their WiFi signal is weak in most rooms. It’s a cement building so they need wired connections or closer routers. If you do a lot of streaming, gaming, or high demand work from hotels, you’ll struggle in most rooms.

The room could use a good cleaning, baseboards were dusty (hair), the small shelf inside the shower has mold on the grout lines. Remove the big rug under the bed, it’s dirty. The towel hooks are loose. The toilet lever kept popping off inside the tank and we had to remove the tank cover several times to adjust it so it would flush. The refrigerator was noisy. The room needs a little TLC. The hotel has a cool retro vibe. We’ll be back!!

Rooms are in poor shape. Feels like a typical motel and not a 4 star hotel as advertised. Do not believe the AI generated pictures. Everything is very dated - stained rugs, stained curtains. Shower heads look like they were never cleaned. I love Phoenix but wouldnt stay in this hotel again.
