Rolled through after 12a. Was greeted by well put together desk agent that was friendly and accommodating and making the checking painless. The room was pretty freaking awesome. You can tell someone put time into the decor. The egg chair and Jim Morrison wall mural were the stand out items, along with the cool nightstand lights. The bed was about a 3.5 in comfort..but when you’re tired it hits. Got pretty good sleep. Pillows are a 4.5. Shower area was cool but has a glass wall for a curtain. Water goes everywhere. Just FYI. Shower gels holder had fallen on the ground. But water was hot and it was clean. The grounds were immaculate and looks like a really cool place to chill. I hope to come to an event here next time I’m through. Pool and airstream area was tucked away in the corner and looked super calming. Didn’t have time to swim but definitely looking forward to trying it at a later date. Check out is promptly at 11a. So prompt they knocked once and then opened the door and said “it’s 11am!”. Luckily I was getting ready to leave and not naked or anything. Lol. Front desk area didn’t not serve breakfast or anything but had decent coffee. One thing: parking is an additional 15$. I didn’t see that when booking was a bit surprised. But I’m not gonna park on the street so paid it. Area seems ok. All in all good stay! Cons were minor.

I’d rate the Egyptian Motor Hotel, BW Signature Collection, about 3.5 out of 5.

On the plus side, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the six pillows were a dream. The room had a charming retro rock-and-roll theme that really gave it personality. The pool area was a standout—like stepping into a Flintstones cartoon, shallow all around (2.5 feet), and a quirky place to relax. If you’re traveling with a group, the outdoor lawn games add a fun touch.

On the downside, the check-in was a hassle—we waited about 30 minutes because the front desk was tied up with a printer glitch, which really took the wind out of the start. Also, there was no coffee or tea maker in the room, which was a letdown. Housekeeping wasn’t provided automatically, though that wasn’t a huge issue since we stayed briefly.

We were also disappointed the Tiki bar wasn’t open on the weekend. The restaurant on site looked vibrant and trendy, but we didn’t get a chance to dine there.

In summary, it’s a mixed bag. The atmosphere is charming, and for about $150, it’s a solid budget-friendly pick. Just confirm ahead of time what amenities you’ll need. Overall, I would recommend it—just be prepared for a few bumps.

Parking was easy. Side Hustle was going on. It was cool to see people having a good time and the DJ was spinning hip hop so that was a positive. Definitely not the kind of place you want to stay if you’re looking for anything even close to quiet. It is LOUD but it shut down at 9pm for our Sunday night stay so it was fine for us. Not a lot around the property but a quick drive down to Roosevelt Row area with good breweries and food. Room was cool with twin bunks. Positives: sitting area, guitar, big refrigerator, clean, big tv, microwave, small igloo cooler. Negatives: couch was saggy in the middle, big refrigerator and small cooler but you can't bring in outside alcohol (then...what's the use?), some broken fixtures, shower head somewhat clogged, missing hygiene products, outlets inconveniently located. Staff was fine. Not the friendliest but they got the job done. Pool looked nice but we didn't use it. Didn't go to the restaurant either but got a few beers from the bar. Overall, I would stay there again if it were the wife and I or me and my buddies but wouldn't if I had the kids.

There was an initial mix up where they gave us a room someone else was already in, but the desk staff fixed it quickly and got us into our room. It was clean and air conditioned and the decor was unique and fun. Loved having a Brita pitcher because we drink a lot of water.

I would have put a 5 star but didn't know that there was no entertainment during our 3 day stay and we were looking forward to seeing a live performance and a drink by the bar, etc. but, will ask next time so that we can enjoy the full experience. Rooms were clean and fun and location is near everything that is in DT Phoenix and airport.

This place was great! Sure there are little things that could use a little touch up but so what (don’t act like you don’t have things you could fix around your house too!) but the people and the vibe make up for a small
flaw here or there. Everyone we interacted with was so kind and helpful. They genuinely acted like they like their jobs- which is so rare anymore. The motel is a vibe- but I am here for it!!!!
I love the mid-century modern feel. I loved everything from the parking signs to the mural on our room wall. The bed was so comfortable and we really appreciate the disclosure you sign before you arrive about the possibility of noise. We didn’t stay on the weekend but we did get to partake in a little market that was happening on the property when we arrived. All in all, this place is great! I am so happy I found it.

We had such a great time here! Very cute vibe. Loved the full size fridge in the room. Only complaints I had were the floors were pretty dirty so had to change socks often, tv didn’t work very well, and I wish there was a coffee maker in the room. But we would definitely go back!

An old motel that was renovated with a cool rock n’ roll theme. I really enjoyed my stay and the vibe, but there were a few things that could have been better. Parking was $15 a night, which I did not know when booking the stay. Still $15 isn’t bad.
The ac was pretty finicky. It was either too hot or too cold and it was difficult to get comfortable.
There is a bar in the middle of the property, which is partially why I was attracted to it. But it was closed our whole stay except during a short event. They still had a few beers and canned cocktails at the restaurant so I was content.
The rooms have a large fridge, a small cooler and a pitcher that the front desk will fill with filtered water.
My sister and I got the rooms with the bunk beds, which ended up not being the most comfortable. I wish there was an option for two regular beds.
If you prioritize comfort this probably isn’t the place for you. But the vibe, cost, cute little pool and cool people made the stay worthwhile for us.

My room was neat and decorated nicely. Everything was clean and orderly. Restaurant had a nice atmosphere and good food. Outside social area was very cool. Check-in and out was easy. Location was central to things I needed. 4-star reason: I was not aware of the type of event being held on Saturday (which I could have participated in) which turned out to be club-like day party. There was no filter between rooms and the event.

The staff was the highlight of our stay. I love the hotel concept and it was not too noisy. The exception was the lid on the garbage can banging all evening long. Easy fix with a cloth.
The room however, was the issue. There wasn't a top sheet on the bed, just a light comforter, which I'm guessing does not get washed in between guests. There is no carpeting and the floor was filthy. I spilled some water and wiped it up and the cloth was black from the floor.

Found Bed bug first night there. Got accused of bringing them to hotel and a free room when we're leaving hotel by housekeeping staff. Couldn't get ahold of general manger to arrange refund at time of incident. Have spoken with Arely since incident was working on refund after two days, no offer to help pay for difference or inconvenience to leave hotel after incident. Or cleaning of my clothing due to incident. This also was in reports that they had them May of last year hotel is saying unfounded.

Courteous staff but in advance over text forgot mention $25 fee for early check in. Kindly they waived it. Shower floor wasn't clean. Garbage was still in bin on arrival. I was told cleaning after three days but nothing during my four night stay. Was I supposed to request even after I was told cleaning after 3 days?
The restaurant attached was really good. No decaf at cafe. No coffee in rooms. Carpet was raised at one edgr and a trip hazard. I needed to put a chair over it. Bring earphones for thin walls. Neighborhood was a bit sketchy. Homeless and police close by one evening. Loud drugged or drunk lady one night at 3am yelling something. Single ladies be aware. Price for closeness to downtown was decent. 1 mile walk to convention center worked well.

This was an experience but I didn’t appreciate I paid for parking and I was told to park on the street. I’d suggested the owner review this policy and prioritize guest access. Parking should be for guests only. It was a really retro place but no coffee machine in rooms nor could you smoke on premises since it’s a hotspot for local party goers. It was nice but not a place I’d stay again.

Cons: biggest positive online was the outdoor bar and music area. Was closed all weekend in beautiful weather. Onsite restaurant limited options.room dingy. Room under stairs with no furniture outside like all other rooms. Paid for parking even though there’s only half the spaces as compared to rooms so you have to park on the street in a bad area. Half glass shower door doesn’t keep water in so floor is soaked.

Shawanda at the front desk was the only good thing about that place! First off I paid $15 to park but there were no spots because all of them were taken up by people eating at the restaurant. The AC in the room (room 118) didn’t work at all. The show head leaked like crazy and the floor was sticky as hell. Would never recommend this place to anyone ever to stay there!!!

Stayed on a Wednesday/Thursday so the outdoor bar was closed. The pool is small, about 2 feet deep all around and surrounded by a cozy lounge area. On site restaurant is very good - wonderful food and wonderful service. Room is really cool and has a fun decorated vibe - guitar, 8-ball, full size fridge, microwave, etc. water pressure in the shower is weak unless turned up to the hottest setting, not great for AZ heat. Overall a pretty cool place to stay for a night.

Interesting spot. Rooms are fun, but functionally awkward…especially if trying to work. Walls and windows do little to keep noise out and this is a busy area with lots of road noise. Seemed like a constant serenade of sirens. Check in was weird, as staff was just sitting out at a picnic table and there isn’t really an office.

This property was really cute with a modern vibe and a nice restaurant on site and a patio bar right outside your room door. However, the rooms, although colorful and fun could've been cleaner. There was grime in the shower and sink from the stay before us. The fridge, the little bluetooth speaker in the room and the floor was a bit dusty. The bed was pretty firm but the pillows were great. It was a cool vibe overall but needs some cleanliness.

Cool funky decor and mostly clean except for the fruit fly’s in the room that ruined any drink without a top. The check in person on Saturday was wonderful however the two other front desk people need more experience in hospitality. My keys deactivated and rather than an apology from the desk, I felt like I was being interrogated. I had to apologize to the desk person to get any kind of response. Both Sunday morning and Monday morning, they were out of sugar for coffee. At least Saturday they had “sugar free syrups” but by Monday not even those. With a McDonald’s across the street you would think someone could have at least run over and filled their pockets with sugar or maybe the property manager could have brought some from home when she came to walk the property with clients Monday morning. Coffee is a BASIC for hotels!

Not my best experience!

I picked this hotel because of it location to the event that we wanted to attend. It was a very nice place, Hotel staff were very pleasent. But we were there for 6 nights, we did put the sign out not to disturb the 1st 2 nights, but after that no one had entered our room to clean, ever!! Also the top bunk bed was too hard for anyone(Adults) to get into, So I slept on the couch for 6 nights, Then on Saturday and Sunday nights, they had events scheduled. I had no idea they were rock bands! Our room was 10 feet behind the speakers, we sat in our room for 4 and 5 hours with bass drums pounding our walls, I felt like I was going to have a nervous breakdown!! Please let people know the events are rocks concerts!!! Not little???\"events\" If I had known this, I most certainly would not have stayed here. They did offer ear plugs when we checked in, The earplugs did not even cut the noise in half and did not stop the walls from shaking! On a good note the free coffee in the mornings was excellent!

Our key card didn’t work and the front desk couldn’t unlock our door either. We had to wait an hour and 20 minutes for maintenance to come. The hotel only offered us beer for the inconvenience. Their room service also is quite half ass. No new sheets, it looked like they just straightened up and changed the towels. The bed wasn’t even made.

Definitely a unique theme. Nice retro decor for a party atmosphere. But do prepare to Doordash alot. The only food place near is a McDonalds. The site advetisted 10 cent coffee and pastries which was only made available on my last day and then the coffee was $6 and the pastry (dry and overheated.) Totaled $33. As well when I asked for fresh towels during my stay the receptionist complained that cleaning service was only available on the 3rd day of a stay. I did get my towels but the old towels were left in the room. And of course scetchy, slow internet. Definitely cannot recomend this place to stay even though my stay was only 3 nights.

The food was great!!!!! So good! The staff were amazing!!! The only thing is on weekends their lot gets full and it’s hard to find parking you paid for, also the floors aren’t the cleanest in the room & trash wasn’t picked up daily in our room :/
Overall good stay, close to downtown!
