Staff excellent, property has electric car charging, parking is ok, can be tricky at times. Main issue was the self catering equipment was missing basics, but this was resolved by the staff when we asked. A small amount of investment (wine glasses, bottle openers, coffee makers etc) could make it much better.

Hotel price student dorm stay!

This place is a student dorm being rented in summer time when universities are closed. Very basic and dirty rooms without any services, parking is free but you will end up park on the street and pay by meter which is absolute headache. I do not recommend this place!!

This is a student residence during term and so, let's be clear, the room is basic. Nevertheless, it was clean and well appointed. The bed was comfortable and the room also had a galley kitchen (good if you like the option of being able to cater for yourself for some meals). If the room had a drawback, it was that space was tight (e.g. to eat breakfast we had to put up a table that we then collapsed). The people at reception were friendly and helpful. It met our needs and we would consider staying here again if in San Sebastian.

Dormitory Living in Beautiful San Sebastian

First I must preface this review by saying that I booked this accommodation very last minute, and that the San Sebastian area is notoriously expensive and busy during summer weekends. To find a room for 2 people for around 100 Euro days prior to arriving, the room was excellent. It is basically a student dormitory that is open to anyone. I assume there are more students during the school year, however there seemed to be a wide mix of young and old people, all respectable and polite, looking to enjoy San Sebastian on a slight discount. Pay close attention to the type of room you book, as there are shared dorms, shared bathrooms, or private rooms. It has a bit of a bohemian atmosphere that one finds more often in a hostel than a dorm, however the building itself and facilities were top notch. I had a private room with an ensuite that was perfectly adequate to move around and enjoy the city. The location is a bit far from the main attractions, however it's still walkable and taxis around the city are pleasantly inexpensive. If I return to Donosita (which I likely will as this was my 3rd visit) and am looking to save a bit of money, I would definitely stay here again.

Basically this is a room used by students and not really a hotel. Would be ok but you can hear every drop of water of other room. Wifi is not working and the promoted \"self-parking\" means you have to search and pay for parking yourself.
The room itself is ok but really overpriced fir what you get.

You get what you pay for.

It was a dorm room. It was local and convenient but still a dorm room. No air conditioning, minimal comfort- not at all like the photos shown. Then they tried to say we needed to buy a Hostel card for 4€??? We didn't have change so they said get it the next day- we never did and never needed it.

That being said, it was a good location for a good price and they even scheduled a taxi to pick us up to get to the airport. There were vending machines and laundry available, as well as an elevator.

Not a bad option if you're on a budget...

It's a university residence. The rooms are quite nice and have a little kitchenette, microwave and fridge, which is a rarity here in Europe. Location itself isn't too bad, as there is really good bus access to the the old town and the beach (three different lines running all day, you don't have to wait more than 5-10 minutes). It;s a fair walk otherwise (about 40 minutes). This is a really good option for those with a family travelling on a budget.
San Sebastian is a culinary mecca, the ktchenette is irrelevant. And there is something to be said about staying at a pension in the old town, and just being able to have a siesta in your room when it gets really hot in the middle of the day. Not to mention stumbling home after a night of pintxos and one too many glasses of wine!!!

Old world charm

It was just wonderful to stay in the famous Windsor Hotel. The old world décor added to its charm. Full white table service for breakfast in the beautiful dining room. The hotel staff all in lovely uniforms and always there to help you. The hotel is looking old but that is part of the charm. Our room was very nice and well stocked with tea & coffee, mini bar and even an iron. Come stay here for the ambiance and charm of a past era!

Rooms were to hot to sleep

Unfortunately seeing as this is university accommodation not a hotel the rooms did not have any air conditioning or a fan we tried to open a window to try and cool our sauna of a room and was then bitten by mosquitoes for the rest of the night. It took a while to be served at the front desk even if it was a simple request.
The location to the beach however was great only a 15min walk or a lovely 45 min walk to old town if you walked along the beach or the taxi ride was max €10 to old town. If a fan was available or some kind of air flow in the room I may consider staying again otherwise I wouldn't think of coming back in the summer.

A spacious room with complete kitchenette.

This is a college \"dorm\" during the academic year. The room is very spacious, with two single-beds, in-room bathroom/shower, two mini-fridges, microwave, and kitchen-top burners, along with all utensils and dishes you could need. There are laundry facilities and computer access on site.

The check-in was smooth, with friendly and knowledgeable staff.

You get what you pay for

There was a reason this was the most inexpensive place we could find in San Sebastin to stay. You are literally staying in a dorm (small, single beds). For the most part it was pretty clean, by no means was it a beautiful place to stay. It served it's purpose for a place to lay our head down for the night. Cool concept of renting out dorms in the summertime to make extra money for the school.

This is a college dorm room for rent.

this is a dorm room of a university near san sebastian. IT is clean small kitchenette. The shower was broken and leaking water all over the bathroom floor. The sheets were clean. The bed was a twin and uncomfortable. There was no air conditioning. It was a dorm room. It will suffice for young people.

Good location and price but not worth it

We struggled to find accommodation in San Sebastian and thought this looked good for a good price. We were really, really disappointed. The 'hotel' is university accommodation and the photos are very misleading. It was much older and run down than the photos indicate. You had the kitchen facilities yet nothing to wash your dishes. No housekeeping. We did walk down into town and to the beach - it took maybe 45mins to get there but we didn't mind walking. Overall wouldn't recommend this place.

This is not a hotel

It is student accommodation. Reception desk service is poor: no assistance or advice on what is going on in the area or how to travel in and out of San Sebastian. No wifi in the rooms and only one communal pc which is slow and cannot operate latest websites because it is windows 1995. There are no cafe or buffet options. Rooms are basic and the fittings are cheap so falling apart. If yoy need a basic bed for one night with s bathroom then this is the place.

The location isn't terrible - two miles from Old Town and less than a mile from the beach, but its an old dorm and still looks like it. No TV and no AC. A small kitchen was nice and if you just need a bed and shower at a nice resort town then its fine. Desk personnel were excellent.

La ducha estaba atascada y salpicaba por todas partes, el suelo lleno de manchas, la ducha con moho en el techo... Por el precio de la noche me ha parecido muy poca calidad. Titolo: Esperienza deludente e struttura non sicura

Ho soggiornato per alcuni giorni ed è stata un’esperienza molto negativa. La camera era sporca all’arrivo, con frigo rotto, scarico del bagno guasto e doccia ostruita. Non c’eran il phon e l’ascensore è rimasto fuori servizio per tutta la drata del soggiorno.

La cosa più grave è che ho subito un incidente: ho sbattuto la testa contro lo spigolo di un’imposta aperta. Non esiste alcuna infermeria, né kit di pronto soccorso o neanche del semplice ghiaccio disponibile. Ho dovuto tamponare con asciugamani bagnati in attesa dell’ambulanza.

Inaccettabile che venga chiesta una quota associativa per soggiornare in una struttura tanto trascurata. Nessun cambio biancheria per 4 giorni, pulizie fatte solo all’ultimo. Mi aspettavo molto di più da una struttura che accoglie anche ospiti esterni.

Nous avons beaucoup aimé le service. Il n’y a pas d’air climatisé dans la chambre, mais il y avait un ventilateur, et comme nous sommes venus dans une période pas trop chaude, nous n’avons pas eu chaud. L’hébergement est loin à la marche du Old town, mais ce fait bien en autobus.

Un lugar tranquilo. Parqueadero gratis. Excelente atencion. Habitaciones basicas y limpias ideal si viajas en familia las habitaciones no tienen aire acondicionado y eraa julio pero nos dieron un ventilador y dormimos bien. Hay una cafeteria cerca abierta en semana. Recomiendo el lugar con precio correcto.

Très bien.
Bien desservi au niveau des bus qui passent fréquemment. Durée du trajet jusqu'au centre 15mn marché jusqu'à l'arrêt comprise.
Cependant, en 40 mn à pied, on est en ville et la promenade est très sympa.
La mer n'est pas très loin à pied.
Quartier vivant très proche aussi, où on trouve de tout.
Personnel très avenant, parking gratuit et sécurisé.
Je recommande.

La Clim serait plus écologique

Chambre des plus classique. 160€ pour deux adultes alors qu’il n’y a même pas de Clim.
Studio 2 lits simples ok mais en période de forte chaleur les étudiants ne doivent pas en pouvoir (je rappelle que c’est une résidence d étudiants)

Apporter la Clim serait donc un plus !
Nous avons donc dû laisser le ventilateur allumé toute la nuit … merci l’écologie !

De plus le ménage laissait à désirer … nous avons bougé les lits pour les mettre côte à côte et sous les lits le ménage n’était pas fait.

Nous trouvons donc le tarif de 162€ pour 1 nuit sans pdj prohibitif !

Mis à part cela le service a été très agréable par les réceptionnistes.

Alojamiento excesivamente caro donde tuvimos una fuga de agua de la habitación colindante y me mojó toda la ropa, la llave no abría bien la puerta, la ducha no funcionaba bien y estaba alejado del centro... pese a todo el precio fue desorbitadamente alto.
Como nota positiva. el personal trabajando, muy agradable.
NO RECOMENDABLE!

Bon séjour, malgré quelques points d'ombres

Mon séjour dans cet hôtel s'est bien passé mais faites attention au parking, les places sont étroites et les gens ne savent pas se garer... (garés en biais en dépassant sur les places à côté).
Si vous avez une voiture électrique ne reposez pas tous vos espoirs sur les trois bornes du parking car les places sont souvent occupées par des voitures thermiques, ou alors les places sont libres mais inutilisables car la voiture à côté est à moitié garé dessus...
Également heure du check-out à 11h mais les femmes de ménages qui entrent en toquant (oui oui en même temps) à partir de 10h n'est pas très agréable.
Sinon la propreté est ok, sans plus, le personnel est agréable, l'hôtel est bien situé.

The place is mainly a residence for students, which is open also to non-university guests. It's located just a few steps from the campus, about 1.5 km from Miramar Palace, and about 3 km from the center. In the neighborhood, there are several restaurants, the university canteen, and bus stops. Although it is a good solution for someone looking for a cheap room in San Sebastiàn, with private kitchen and bathroom, it is far from what it is advertised on the website. Actually, what I booked was a single room, turned into a double by placing a double bed in the middle, so that there was not enough space for opening the table (a student could hardly cope with it ...). However, it is generally clean and it is cheaper than other places. Recommended if you have no great pretensions.

Et super hyggeligt hotel med alle nødvendige faciliteter. Værelset var genialt indrettet og rengøringen var ikke til at sætte en finger på! Rigtigt søde og hjælpsomme receptionister. Kunne ligge lidt bedre, men ellers topkarakterer herfra!

Las recepcionistas son muy amables. La parte nueva está muy bien. Las habitaciones son sencillas. Los baños algo antiguos. Tendrían q retirar las bañeras pequeñas por platos de ducha. La cocina básica está correcta. Hay servicio de lavandería y gimnasio. Hay párking y una buena comunicación con el centro de la ciudad gracias a los autobuses urbanos 5, 25, 33, 45.

Hôtel propre. Un peu spartiate.

À l’enregistrement on voulait nous faire prendre la carte de l’université pour quelques euros de plus en spécifiant que tous les clients devaient y souscrire et que c’etait spécifié sur booking. J’ai fait réponse que sur hôtel.com ça n’y était pas et que je ne payerais que le prix de la convenu et rien d’autre. Le Mr m’a dit qu’il vérifierait. Je n’ai pas eu de suite.

Pour 115€ la chambre pour , c'est bien trop cher par rapport à la chambre! Table et chaise pliables car chambre trop petite. Pas de tv dans chambre. La baignoire ressemble à une baignoire de poupée... Et surtout les photos proposées sur l'offre de hotel.com ne correspond pas à la réalité. Déconseillé cet résidence hotel surtout au vue du prix!

Erst waren wir von den Bildern und dem guten Preis angetan. In der Unterkunft angekommen stellten wir aber fest, dass das Hotel viel mehr ein Studentenwohnheim ist. Die Einrichtung erinnerte eher an eine Militärkaserne als an ein Hotel. Nicht zuletzt trugen die Klappbetten ihren Teil dazu bei.

No es un Hotel, en realidad es una residencia de estudiantes, la estancia fue agradable, sólo hubo tres cosas que no me han gustado:

1. No pudimos hacer el check-in hasta las 15:00h., había una larga cola y tuvimos que esperar unos 20 minutos hasta que nos atendieron.

2. No se hacen las camas, las teníamos que hacer nosotros.

3. Tube que hacerme un carnet que me costó 4€. (porqué no soy universitario)
