During our stay we had fire alarm gone off four time at odd hours. One of my family member is wheel chair bound and we had informed this to the hotel, despite knowing this none of the staff ever called to offer help during evacuation calls. The hotel does not have any provision or SOP to evacuate the guest. So far so the reception team members were the first people to run away from their desk instead of taking care of the guest, when the alarms went off. You are off you own when you stay with them.

This is a convenient hotel for UNCC parents to drop off kids at college. However the 2 issues were charges for parking and daily charges for internet use.
The parking is across the street and it’s not a fixed daily charge. You have to pay every time you drive in and out of the parking garage.
The Internet charge is $10 per day per device. I was charged and once I reviewed the bill- they took the charge off.
I think both charges are exorbitant.
Also, we had the fire alarm go one night that we were there and the whole property had to be evacuated and checked by firemen. The room close to us on the 6th floor had water gushing out of the overhead pipe and flood their room and the hallway.
So overall though it is a great property, there’s issues that need to be rectified.

You have to pay daily for parking. The restaurant on site is quite expensive and offers no perks to guest staying at the hotel. The bar was more expensive than south beach in Miami. The fridge in the room was broken but thank God I brought a cooler. The ac would not go down. If you let them park your car be prepared to not have easy access to said car.

The only complaint would be that my room on the 7th floor was near the elevator, and it made a lot of noise. Also, the wood fire smoke from the pizza oven in the restaurant made my room smell like a smokehouse a little bit. Not enough to make my clothes smell, but it was noticeable. They might need to make a change to the ventilation system. It didn't bother me too much, but I know my wife wouldn't have liked it.

We absolutely love the location of the hotel. The walk score should be 100! The bartender Savanah was such a joy! The only downside is the draft in the rooms caused there to be a weird sound all through the day and night. But that's a small complaint to the overall stay! I arrived a girlfriend and left a fiancé! Such a nice, clean, beautiful hotel, located perfected on campus so it was convenient to walk everywhere. Gym was like a commercial center. So nice. It would have been nice to have fresh drip coffee and some water in the lobby though. Otherwise perfect place that we will definitely revisit!

Overall, we had a great stay for the ECU vs UNCC game! We enjoyed the pool with our kids and tailgating in the room before the game. Super convenient to accessing UNCC and surrounding area.

A couple things to note: room was very dusty-most likely from down pillows. The water was always warm in the sink and got extremely hot.

Restaurant was very slow for breakfast and kids portions were the same aa adult portions for cheaper price. Food was delicious though!

It was ok.

Check in was seamless. One thing I noticed is that the receptionist failed to put out where the hotel bars/restaurant or shops were located.
She only pointed us in the direction of the elevators. Other than that everything no else was fine.

The room was only supplied with 2 of everything towel which I thought was a little weird but it wasn’t a dealbreaker.

The overall experience was nice. I will definitely be back.

Due to staff basically not cleaning the room that i paid for on time ( king bed city view) i was placed in a room with 2 queen beds and that it was the same price when there is definitely a $50 difference. I was basically told it was my fault for booking through 3rd party and that i was only staying one night and basically just to deal it and i would not receive a refund or any accommodations. I was also charged an internet fee that was waived after i had to create a marriot bonvoy account. Staff showed no empathy whatsoever will definitely not be staying there again.

We love how the hotel is on UNC Charlotte's campus. Our son just adds us to his parking campus parking pass and we get free parking at the hotel. Very nice rooms and hotel.

Customer service was awful. When I tried to speak with a manager about it, there was never one on duty. Dirty sheets in the room. Rooms were not ready on time. Staff had an attitude (Lajcia) when asked why the room wasnt ready and why when it was, we didnt recieve a call or for them to let us know (we were in the lobby).

The property was very nice. I was a little taken back by the fact that check in was at 4 and I wasn’t able to get into my room until 8 due to the hotel having a large party that checked out late. After a long hot day of moving my daughter into college this was a big inconvenience. The hotel offered nothing for this inconvenience and neither did Expedia.
