This is a bad neighborhood with drug addicts roaming the street and very very unsafe. So much so that when the uber driver realized where he was taking me he asked me if I really meant to go there. Once there, he would not leave until I “safely” got in the building.
It was only moments before I realized he was right and I needed another hotel. Unfortunately, in my haste and not knowing the area I booked one in the same neighborhood. I pressed send and realized the mistake I made and immediate asked for a refund to book something in a safer spot. The front desk lady would not refund me for the night even after I explained the situation and pleaded with her. Keep in mind, I never went to the hotel and addressed it moments after booking. She never relented and I paid for the my mistake.
Do not go to this neighborhood. It is very bad. There are other economy hotels that won’t get you killed.

Barely any amenities, the pool was dirty and empty. The neighborhood is terrible, you’re in one of the worst parts of the hood here, there were addicts nodding off outside and we saw a drug deal occur at the McDonald’s over there.

We called front desk for assistance with the AC. A gentleman from the front desk came to our room to reset the AC. We waited another 30 minutes for the temperature to get cooler, never happened...
We were transfered to another room per my request, the handicapped room was cool and the AC worked.
The TV did not work in our new room and we had to sign in to our home streaming service to watch the TV.
Also, very limited front desk personnel, we were stuck in the entrance vestibule waiting to be buzzed in to lobby.
I will never stay there again..

it was great for the price. The rooms were spacious and the bed was comfortable. It was clean just not super well kept, there was scotch tape on one of our walls? The bathroom wasn’t the greatest either, the shower curtain didn’t fit the size of the tub and the water drained very slowly. It looks like there could be some potential sketchy activity around the outside of the hotel but it was honestly fine. Close to a few food places & close to the city so it was good for a weekend! Would come back if we’re looking for a cheaper option when we go to charlotte for a few nights!

There was a car parked on the side of the front entrance from the moment we arrived to when we left. Not in a parking hole and had trash all around. The room was okay, the bed was clean. The bathroom was not. The shower was gross and so were the floors. The couch in the room was covered in stains. The room smelled weird and the air conditioner didnt work. Also we had a late checkout and were rudley interrupted THREE time's and the last time they didnt even bother to shut the door back all the way.

First the inn has no elevator and you have to walk up steps if your on another floor besodes the first floor. Room was dusty and we kept sneezing throughout the night, hand prints on the headboard, bathroom shower was dirty and the shower curtain had something nasty on it. Upon getting up around 2am to use the bathroom there was roaches crawling on the floor and in the tub. Luckily I always travel with my own cleaning supplies. The night served its purpose, but I will not book again.

Horrible place to stay. The room smelled like cigarette smoke. There was hair in the “clean” bed. Cigarette burns in the bedding and even the shower curtain. The toilet DID NOT WORK AT ALL. The shower leaked all over the bathroom. No fan in the bathroom. Hallways were loud all night. I wouldn’t stay here EVER again. It was disgusting and I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. On the way out in the morning, it was evident that someone was smoking marijuana in their room. The odor was distinct and the hallway was hazy. Gross.

The only negative was that the entrance was always locked and the key card never worked to get in. No one stayed at the front desk and I had to bang loudly and yell to get someone to open the door. I took pictures and showed the guy and said we didn't want to stay there. He said he would refund our room. It's been almost a week and no refund so I think he forgot or lied. Place was just overrun and old. Comforter was full of holes, couch was filthy and had unknown substance stains, bathroom appeared clean but amenities were old and peeling/chipped, cracked broken lamp shades that were hanging on, tv didn’t work I’m assuming due to the outlet being completely destroyed. Arrived late around 8pm and was only staying for the night. They keep they AC turned off in all rooms and give you specific instruction on how to turn it on when you arrive because yes it is a sauna in there. The AC worked but would not actual cool past a certain temperature. The room was cool but not enough for my liking. I’m very small and still had night sweats. The common halls also have the AC turned completely off which you cannot control. A pro is the shower water does get boiling hot but I wasn’t even in the mood for a hot shower since I was overheating from the lack of AC. The area is a bit sketchy. Other travelers were smoking weed on premises and it could be smelled even in the building. Lot of people loitering and congregating outside and it didn’t look good. Staff were fairly nice and no issues were particularly their fault. Upper management has a lot of upgrades to do.
Overall I probably wouldn’t stay again in this circumstance. I’ll probably take my chances with somewhere more expensive. This is a budget “hotel” inn. If you want/need something nice this is NOT the place. But it’s something better than nothing and it will do for 1 night or 2 if you push it.
