The room was clean. The view from our window on Grand Via was blocked with scaffolding making the room a bit darker. We loved the location. The noise from streets below which can happen all night through to morning can be disruptive to sleep so light sleepers may have a problem. Great location to walk to shops and historical sites. We enjoyed our stay.

We had a last minute change in our circumstances that the staff were able to accommodate on the spot. They were very understanding of the situation which was very much appreciated. The staff were friendly. The only thing downside is that the elevator is small and was quite busy. Apart from that, I think the place was great. They gave us some free water and juice upon arrival.

Room was very spacious, nice, and super clean. It is located inside abuilding that is under repairs and may give the appearance of not being as beautiful but once you get to the hotel it is very nice. Cleaning was superb and we had all we needed. The staff was mostly friendly but reception is limited to 8 am to 4pm which I find is the only limitation, in our case, since bags got lost in the airport this meant that we had to stay in the hotel since no one would be in reception after 4, and on one day, after 2. Staff was available through whatsapp and answered very fast. The hotel is in a privileged location, in the Gran Via , which made access to places very easy.

The shower drain smell really bad. The sewer system smell was coming into the room. Could not sleep or stay in room. The elevator was broken. We had to pull our luggage up and broil the tire had to buy another one. Maintenance came it got okay then in the evening smell came back and could not tolerate. My son had food poisoning and could not rest in bed due to smell. Receptionist was nice but we had horrible stay and experience. Usually I don’t complain but I want people to know regarding room 09. Not sure about other rooms. Two horrible nights and if they t was YSA they would have refund our money. We had to put plastic bag and towel at drain system but did not help.

We Paid extra for balcony and view, but it was scaffolding and green mesh! No one warned our of construction work taking place at the hotel. They said they were Noise of hammering and drilling woke us up at 7am and lasted all morning. Water outage from 9 am one day forced us to go to another hotel to shower. Outage lasted most of the day.

This is located in the heart of Gran Via. You’ll have everything nearby. There isn't any microwave, they sell you the coffee. Staff is nice but they are never onsite. We barely saw them through the day. Overall if you want a nice place in the middle of everything this is good. Also there was a huge construction drilling noise, I reported to the front desk and she acted totally careless.

Very good place - great location (on Gran Via and few minutes from all cnteric places), good service (availability on Whatsapp even if you are remote), clean, very good shower. The only small thing that wasn't perfect were the pillows - both me and my husband didn't feel comfortable with them

Get sick from moldy air and bad accommodations

Our baby and us got sick from moldy air on the room and dusty blankets. I had asthma due to the air quality on room (i havent had asthma in over 25 years), and our baby suffered so much we had to move to another hotel. Water heater did not worked first two days, later we learned there was a trick of leaving bathroom faucet open so that shower heats up. There was a broken light that always was “on” so we couldnt sleep with dark room. And there were 2 ants farms around the bedroom floor piling up.
For the price you pay, this is the worst experience we have had on a Madrid Hotel.

Great location, very central. Decent sized room, large comfortable bed. Would have liked to have some milk supplied in the room to go with tea provided, otherwise cannot fault the room. We had an internal facing room, so no view but this also meant a quiet and undisturbed night away from traffic noise.

The entrance hall is shared with other establishments and is rather tired and dated - could be very off-putting for some people - but once inside WooHoo it is modern and spotlessly clean.

Cons: Staff not always on site (make sure you know how to get into the hotel for check-in)
Reservation said King-sized bed, it was Queen-sized.
It is not listed on the “directory” for the building.

The access to the building is through a hallway, up 3 steps to a very slow elevator that only holds 4 people at a time. Because of rooftop restaurant, line can be long. Not a good location for those with mobility problems.

Our check-in experience after many long hours of travel was not good. The fault was mine, so learn from my mistakes. I did not see the \"check-in\" email sent a couple days prior because we were so busy. Another email was sent while we were traveling but I didn't see it until after we arrived and struggled for awhile.

They have no lobby or staff on-site all the time. Since we arrived (6 pm), it did not occur to me that there would be no one there. The hotel is accessed through a door on the 3rd level of the building. See photos. Door was locked. No one answered the # I called. Was this a service entrance? No. This hotel is 10 rooms with a tiny reception area. Read your emails and come prepared. Then it will great. This Woohoo is a clean room in a good location. Nothing more.

This hotel was in a great location right on Gran Vía. Very closed to everything and very convenient. I loved it and would stay here again. The only bad thing is that there is one elevator for the whole building and only 4 people at a time. We used the stairs since it was a second floor (3rd basically), We didn’t mind this since we were ok with using the stairs. The front desk was very helpful and although they were not there all the time, were very accessible via WhatsApp.

This property is amazing. The reviews seem so misleading but it is excellent. The hotel is on the second floor of a building. You have to walk up stairs. The hotel is clean and neat. You can hear noises but they stop at night. The hotel is perfectly positioned on Gran Via which makes it extremely accessible to everything. I will say something that eased my anxiety was contacting the property a week before. The front desk is very kind and will provide you all the information to accessing the property. I would highly recommend.

A very conveniently located hotel in the heart of Madrid. You need to confirm your arrival time with the hotel staff for the check in. It's located on the second floor of a building. the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.

Difficult getting there, due to GPS from website, as they have multiple locations. After arriving things improved. However, someone left door open at entrance and i could barely get out of building, due to a homeless person up against the door. A little much at 5:00 in the morning!

This place is like a diamond in the rough. Upon arrival was not told to come to the second floor this is something you will need to advise travelers in the future, once I found it I was pleased with the appearance, kindness of the staff and cleanliness

The staff truly enhanced our experience with their outstanding service. They greeted us with warm smiles and displayed a genuine willingness to assist us with anything we needed. The only thing good about this place was the help and kindness from Santiago (Santi) and the cleanliness. Scary location, elevator tiny and extreme slow. Noisy, noisy, noisy. Walls are thin and if you stay by fro t desk you will never get a goodnight sleep.

Woohoo Rooms Boutique Gran Vía is an oasis on the 2nd floor of a building whose entrance directly faces Plaza de Callao and the pedestrian crossing across Gran Vía. It is 2 minutes from a Carrefour, 7 minutes to a laundromat called La Casa de la Colada, 6 minutes to Puerta del Sol, it is on the midpoint for exploring the east and west sides of Madrid on foot. We were in constant communication with the staff thru Whatsapp days before our check in. The interior was very clean, modern and well-maintained it looks like new. It was a revelation!

The hotel is located in Gran Via but inside the building it is very creepy and dirty. The elevator takes for ever.
The room had a very strong smell to detergent. I wouldn't stay again.
