Don't let the pool fool
Good deal but the beds were really hard and the pillow(not pillows) sucked. Gave me a control for my room t.v without batteries and it didn't even work. There was no water in the bathroom when we got there so I had to tell them to turn the pump on. Very rural it's good if you want to save money. I was going to get two nights here but my back was hurting in the morning. Nice pool

Hotel only had about 30 rooms, so was nice not to be in a large hotel. All staff very nice. Rooms were large. Rooms could have used another end table or some kind of dresser if staying longer, as nowhere to really unpack your stuff.

Great front desk attendance. Not properly cleaned before check in, hair in shower and floor. Needs a deep clean. Very loud, everything echoes from other rooms and hard to sleep. WiFi was very bad for long periods all over the property. It’s a budget place (but still not cheap) but there is no excuse for lack of basic cleanliness and being kept awake late because of loud people on and around the property.

Great, safe, clean hotel! Breakfast was eggs & beans or fruit with juice or coffee. AC worked great, hot water and WiFi not so much. The lobby area has WiFi. Close enough to walk everywhere. My only suggestion would be to have drinking water offered in the lobby to refill water bottles. I didn’t like having to buy bottled water from the store, I rather pay the hotel more and reduce the plastic consumption by refilling my reusable bottle.

Positives are it's a lovely rustic hotel for the price. It's clean, has friendly staff and the included breakfast was delicious.

Typical Mexican hotel. Small washroom with your own water heater, interesting..lol Needed to remember to turn it on in the am so shower was hot. Beds little better than some, pillows ok. Not a high end place but happy with the cost. Comfort was better than some for the money. Breakfast was hot and included. Scrambled eggs, fruit , coffee and juice. Walkable to Centro for restaurants. Would use again

A reasonable option. A business-like welcome rather than super friendly but OK nonetheless. Clean rooms, about 10 minutes or so walk to the main square. Breakfast was included but it was nothing to get excited about - scrambled eggs and a tiny portion of refried beans. One morning I was mildly amused to see the reception staff tucking into the same but slightly bigger portions, with the addition of a bowl of fruit salad. Hire bikes available but they deparately need some maintenace. Better to get a bike somewhere else if you can find one.

I was only here for 1night. The check in clerk, spoke perfect english, which was nice instead of struggling with hand gestures and almost no spanish ( my bad). Air conditioning worked well. Hot water takes time to arrive ... be patient. Itll arrive.

We have stayed here 3 times now and have been pleased with our stay each time. The staff is friendly and accommodating, the room was clean, good hot water, bed comfortable, secure parking. We would recommend this hotel and if we are in the area again, will be staying here for a 4th time!

Great hotel, but bit far from the lake. Do search and you can find something similarly priced right on the lake. Wifi worked great, but only at reception. Staff was super friendly and accomodating. Some of my family members complained about too much noise.

Room was clean and their was hot water for the shower. The air-conditioning was great in the room and the guy at the front desk was really helpful. It was raining whilst we were there so we did not use the pool but it looked very welcoming and clean.

Overall nice place for relatively low price. There is AC (important) and TV. The breakfast includes hot basic drinks with bread and marmalade, prety lean. The bed was very uncomfortable. The olace is somewhat distant from the lagune and the center, but not much, about 10 min walk. In the heat of the day it can be frustrrating.

My mother had a stroke at our prior destination, so the hospital released her one day late. We could never contact Expedia to cancel our reservation, so we arrived to Bacalar one day late, explanined our issue and they said they coud not do anything for us, so they had to charge the night we could not arrive.

The sheets are old, the pillows are unconfortable, the towels are old, small and we had to be asking for missing towels each night. They charge absolutely for everything! We needed ice and they charged you for it! They do not give you water, if you want some you have to buy it. At breackfast they watch over you so you will not eat more than what they are willing to give you, if you want another piece of fruit you have to buy it.
If you wanted to sit as a group, you had to sit in a non air conditioned room which was exceedingly hot , or you sat outside where it was very hot and full of mosquitoes.This is an area where dengue and chikungunya are extang.

El hotel es sencillo pero tiene todo lo necesario para estar bien, agua caliente, A/A, TV con canales básicos, el wifi es malo pero en general en todo Bacalar es deficiente el servicio y la señal, eso no es culpa del hotel. El desayuno incluído es basto y delicioso, quienes lo llaman básico, no se que más esperan. A nosotros nos encanta, bien servido cocinado al momento y si quieres agregar algo más los precios son súper accesibles.

Tuve un viaje familiar agradable en este hotel, tiene un brincolin para que jueguen los niños, esta limpio, esta ubicado en un lugar tranquilo a 10 min caminando esta la laguna Bacalar y 10 min en auto el Cenote Azul. A unas cuadras hay lugares para comer en donde x la noche es un ambiente agradable y familiar. En recepción me ayudaron amablemente con dudas sobre el pago, antes de mi llegada.
