Rating: 5/5 – Absolutely Outstanding!
If you want a flawless, high-value stay in Toronto, look no further. The Novotel North York completely shatters the myth that you have to pay astronomical downtown prices to have an amazing, incredibly connected trip. It blends seamless convenience with fantastic amenities, making it a stellar choice for both busy travelers and anyone looking for a smooth, stress-free getaway.
The Crown Jewel: Direct Subway Access. The absolute best part of this hotel is that it sits right on top of the North York Centre subway station. You can head downstairs and walk directly onto a train without ever having to worry about rain, snow, or humidity. It feels like having your own private transit portal.
A True Oasis. After a busy day exploring or catching a game, coming back here is a dream. The indoor pool is pristine and beautifully maintained, the fitness center has everything you need, and the sauna is the perfect place to unwind.
Perfect Sleep Quality. The rooms are exceptionally clean, bright, and wonderfully quiet. Request a higher floor if you can—the unobstructed views of the city skyline are gorgeous, especially at night. The beds are incredibly comfortable, ensuring you wake up fully refreshed.

Lovely large hotel rooms in a quiet neighborhood. They have plenty of outlets at the bedsides. Robes & slippers provided. Bathroom lovely with well appointed toiletry products. Very clean. Water, tea and coffee machine (Nespresso) provided in room.
Front desk staff are very helpful and accommodating. I needed to extend my stay and they were able to help me. Restaurant and bar at the hotel is also very nice, good food, clean and staff is friendly and accommodating.

The parking charge was a bit of a surprise, as was the Municipal Accomodation Tax. Electric charging was mentioned, but it was a 4 hour maximum - so when you arrive at 8pm, you have to make sure you go an unplug your car before midnight or you risk getting towed.
The pillows were terrible & the mattress felt old. For the amount we paid (over $300 for one night) it was not worth the money.

The check-in experience needs revising. The hotel is a popular location due to its proximity to Rogers Stadium. Check in starts at 3:00pm. We arrived at 3:30 and came upon a winding line up of people in the lobby with only three hotel staff doing check-ins. We waited approximately 1.5 hours to get checked in. I had two rooms reserved and only one was ready. The kind gentleman told me he would call me in 40 minutes to alert that the second room is ready. 45 minutes later I had to call reception and ask if the room was ready. They said it was and told me I would have to come back to reception and get in line again to get the room keys. Needless to say, I was quite frustrated about the process.
I went back to reception and got the room keys from the same gentleman who checked us in the first time. He told me that he and his co-workers had been standing at the desk since 11:00 am. The three of them had checked out 150 guests and were now checking in another 150 guests. By now it was almost 5:00 pm and there was still a long line of people to be checked-in. The gentlemen apologized for the delays and gifted us with two complimentary breakfasts for the next day.
My suggestion is to have sufficient staff on hand for check-in/check-out when there are big concerts/events happening.Take advantage of modern technology and give your staff tablets so they can approach the line of people and check them in on the spot. Hire more cleaning staff too, so the rooms are ready.

I would not recommend breakfast at the hotel. It was a standard hotel breakfast ( powdered eggs ect) and it was 108 for 4 adults. Let’s just say we did not eat 108 worth food because it was awful. They do have an à la carte message where you can order off a menu. My sister-in-law was going to order the avocado toast off the menu which was $16. She asked for a poached egg and he said it would cost $30. He said it’s better if you just have the continental breakfast. Go eat some where else

Overall, we had a good stay and the location was excellent, but there are a few things worth noting for future guests.

If you're checking in between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM, expect it to be quite busy. During our stay, there appeared to be only one staff member handling check-ins, and the entrance area only accommodates about 3–4 vehicles at a time, which creates a bottleneck during peak arrival hours.

The parking garage also has a posted height restriction of 6.1 ft, although it felt closer to 5.11 ft in practice. Fortunately, there is public parking directly across the street that is both convenient and less expensive.

We stayed in a room with two double beds and three guests. While the room itself was comfortable, the air conditioning struggled to keep up. We had it set to the coldest setting all weekend, but the room never really cooled down. It wasn't uncomfortably warm, but it also wasn't what we expected from a functioning air conditioning system.

One thing to keep in mind is that you're located in the heart of Koreatown, which is a huge plus. The area is full of incredible food options, from delicious ramen shops to fresh sushi restaurants, all within walking distance.

Despite a few minor inconveniences, the location alone made for an enjoyable stay.

The check in processing was ridiculous. Even if rooms are ready they will not allow check in until 3:00 PM at which point 50 people line up to check at the same time with only 2 attendants available. This was not very helpful as I was with an elderly handicapped person.
The carpets need to be properly vacuumed as there were crumbs left behind from prior guests. There are stains splattered behind the bathroom door. The bathroom door needs to be cleaned. The shower curtain was stained, smells and needs to be replaced.
This property did not provide value for the money.

In the new room the AC was working on heat only, when it’s 72-76 degrees it’ shard , but front desk said they will take care of it,,, when we left it was still working hot only.
Hope it was fixed for the next guest.
