For the price, 389$ plus $200 for deposit, the view was the only nice thing.

Smoke detector had no sign of life, wires hanging from entrance light, bulbs missing in track light, dust coated breakers and window seal, fridge couldn’t open without opening drawers, beds were unpresentable, room hadn’t been swept or cleaned properly. I use to work in hotel for maintenance and it would have never passed our unit turns.

Our stay and the overall hotel was nice. The staff was very polite and housekeeping did a great job. Our only complaint would be that the hotel is in desperate need of an upgrade. The TVs in the rooms are very out dated so you can not stream like Netflix or any other streaming services. Nor can you cast from a device. so you are at the mercy of what is on the local cable/satellite channels, which is not much. The hotel's location is not too far from downtown Toronto and there are plenty of food and shopping options near by.

It's been a good three weeks that we have been coming back to stay and the last couple of time the two staff Dizza and Marianne was awesome made our stay even more pleasant.
Thank you even through the two ladies wasn't working they made sure that our room was delivered with whaf we needed.
Although this time checking in wasn't as pleasing especially when they wanted to take 250 deposit. When all the other time I only paid 200
I honestly not so please with that and how they refuse to let us check in at the time that Mariann has organized
Otherwise everything thing else was wondering
Just disappointed on this time checking in service

I gave Liberty Suites a second chance in May 2026 after staying in October 2025 because I genuinely liked the location, the underground parking garage, and the ability to go directly from the garage to my floor without passing through the lobby. The privacy and convenience are excellent.

Unfortunately, almost everything else about the experience was subpar for the price.

Many of the same issues from my first visit were still present the second time. The Wi-Fi was unreliable & unusable: I used 15GB of my own paid int’l data because I kept disconnecting, & staff were unable or unwilling to offer any meaningful solution.

We reported problems with the TV in our suite, but they were never addressed.

The suite itself had cleanliness and maintenance concerns. The in-suite washing machine reeked of mold, and the oven would not get hotter than 250F during use. For an extended-stay property, these are not minor issues.

Customer service was also inconsistent. Some staff members were fine, but one woman came across as dismissive & unhelpful when we requested assistance.

The final straw was a power outage during our stay. While I understand that outages can happen, it ultimately led me to check out early. After dealing with poor internet, unresolved maintenance issues, and disappointing service, I no longer felt it was worth staying.

The location and garage access are great, but they weren’t enough to outweigh the ongoing problems. Two stays were enough; I won’t be returning again.

Good not great. Solid pick if you want to be away from the city, especially if you have a larger group. It's right in the middle of a shopping center so there's food and shops just steps away. We loved our balcony and 2nd bathroom! There was plenty of room but having a stove but needing to pay extra for dishes, silverware, etc ..is a bit inconvenient. They changed the linens daily but didn't empty the trash??

Liberty Suites Hotel in Thornhill Ontario just outside of Toronto is an unusual property — it’s housed in a high-rise office building, and finding the parking had me so frustrated that I was honestly ready to switch hotels altogether. But the moment I walked in, Dizza and Shirie at the front desk completely turned things around. Their warmth, genuine smiles, and exceptional service melted away all that stress instantly. They even upgraded my room without hesitation. I ended up coming back multiple times, and honestly, it was because of them. While not every staff member was equally accommodating, these two set the bar for what great hospitality looks like.
If you're staying there, make sure to say hello to Dizza and Shirie, they are the reason this hotel stands out. It's now my go-to place whenever I'm in Thornhill.

This hotel is using AI generated photos, what you see is definitely not what you get.

The location was hard to find as it doesn’t resemble a hotel from the outside. My uber driver even came into the property lobby to make sure it was the correct place before leaving. The security guard advised that the hotel lobby was located on the 12th floor. I went up to the 12th floor and checked in at the front desk. It did not look anything like the pictures, but the staff were polite. I got my room key and went up to my room. The entire building was old and not well maintained. I opened the door to the hotel room and it smelled like cigarettes and mold.

I felt so uncomfortable to the point where I checked out 10 minutes after I checked in and left the building ASAP-even though it was late at night. I checked into a well known chain hotel afterwards.

I do not recommend this hotel to anyone! Especially for the price you pay, I wouldn’t stay here even if someone paid me to.

I do not recommend this hotel. Beds were not comfortable, and I could hear all the noise from the hall, rooms beside and rooms above mine all night. I reserved a 2 Queen room for a 2 night stay, but didn't want to stay the second night given the noise and bed discomfort. I brought the concerns to the staff in the morning. They said if I leave they'd charge for the second night regardless as per policy, and didn't offer to make it right like change to another room with different beds or in a less noisy area. I can only base my review off my one night and the interactions I had with the staff.

We landed around 9am and were able to leave our luggage with staff while we explored Toronto before our check in at 3pm. The breakfast had a wide variety of food and coffee was great. Our queen bed room was clean and cool for such a hot stay. There was a full fridge, stove/oven, microwave, dishwasher and Keurig but no dishes or cookware. The building is right beside a mall with lots of dinner options for Asian cuisine and a full supermarket. The centrepoint mall is also just a 10min walk down Yonge with a variety of shops including shoppers, dollarama, and no frills for snacks for the room! Staff were welcoming, friendly, helpful and attentive.

I was very pleased with my stay and I will definitely return. I can't understand some of the negative comments especially around breakfast. Breakfast was perfect. Something for everyone. Eggs, sausage, potatoes, toast, porridge, cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, peanut butter, jam, juice, coffee, muffins. Not sure what some of these people were expecting. Room was clean and comfortable. Very quiet. People complaining about the caulking around the bathtub or sink... Come on lol. The hotel can't be replacing it every few weeks just to appease you. If you want 5 star luxury and pampering then go pay $750 a night at some of the neighbouring hotels. Only things to note: I had a room that had a full kitchen but no dishes, glasses, utensils... etc. I think this should be noted on the listing so travellers can plan accordingly.
