Hotel is at a really good location, easy access to a lot of restaurants, parks, walking trail and public transportation. Room does look older than the pictures shown, but overall really clean room and comfortable mattress. I’d definitely consider staying here again in the future if opportunity rises.

We had a great stay overall. The breakfast was excellent, and the modern rooms with a full kitchen were a huge plus. The pool and terrace were beautiful, and we really enjoyed spending time there.

There were a few areas that could use improvement. The stairwell was old and dirty, which didn't make a great first impression. The pullout sofa bed had food crumbs and an old facecloth on it when we opened it, and there was no bedding provided. However, we contacted the front desk, and they promptly cleaned the sofa bed and assisted us.

The breakfast was good and the staffs were friendly. The room was clean and very spacious, we had a two queen beds suite for me and my wife and supposed be very comfortable. But the room layout is not practical and waste a lot of space, beside my bed is just inched from the air conditioning unit, the noise was so loud and I couldn't sleep at all. Too bad, it just ruins my expectation!

First room water was all over floor from toilet in bathroom. They changed my room to a 2 bedroom suite. Bed was comfy. Shower was filthy and so was fridge and microwave. Marks all over them and the bathroom mirror which means itwas cleaned with a dirty rag. They have upgraded the rooms somewhat but they still show their age. Housekeeping is only every 3 days. They need to upkeep these rooms more often. You can tell they dont clean them enough.

The overall experience was very pleasant. We made an error in our booking that caused us a lot of stress. The manager and the desk clerk, I forget his name, were very understanding and helpful in resolving this issue. The hotel was nice, and very clean. I have no complaints. It's a little far from downtown Toronto, which we were visiting. Yet the drive was not to bad, compared to Atlanta, GA (USA) traffic. It was around 30-45mins. Nevertheless. Our stay was very pleasant, as I said.

The apartment was clean and the kitchen had everything necessary for heating and eating take out. Breakfast was fair. The front desk was unfriendly. Charging $5 a night to park diminished the value of the hotel. There was a lot of parking around the hotel. The hotel is in a residential neighborhood so parking was very available.

When I arrived I checked online for their parking policy and I discovered their rooms on their site listed as $142 a night and two nights with tax was $340.

I stayed two nights and my final cost was $706.59 for two nights before the $10 charges for parking.

I asked the staff why there was such a difference in price. I paid double the listed price. He shrugged and said they don't control third party websites. Then proceeded to ignore me.

I booked the room through Expedia and the cheaper rate was also from Expedia.
I caution you to check and recheck prices before booking at Sonesta or through Expedia.

Even just as you enter their premises to check-in, you are met with that”freshness” the smell that makes you feel alive after a long day’s travel.-One-of-a-kind! The front desk staff was also very friendly and kind.

Early Friday in our stay, in breakfast, I ask the kitchen house staff if the sausages were pork( we don’t eat pork) . She said” I’m sorry, it is, but tomorrow I will tell the staff to serve turkey instead.” Saturday, we had Turkey sausages. Thank you!

Hotel is nice and provided with hot breakfast, unfortunately, we don't have chance to enjoy it because of full scheduled in short stay in Toronto.
We have bad experienced with the electronic door lock. Even the door was closed and locked, it could easily open using the door handle without the door key scanner. We informed the front desk and yes, a technician come in about 30 min. and come back again with parts. Finally to get it fixed. This ruin our itinerary. Two friends needed to stay in the room until the electronic door lock is fixed.
We are in a two bedrooms with two toilets suites. The toilet water run very slow and not pressure enough to flush everything away. Finally, it stuffed and we need to report to the front desk again.
Hope the housekeeping department will aware the problem and get it fixed and maintained well before guests check in.
Overall, it is a good and nice hotel.

First of all, this is a 3-star hotel so nothing fancy. We have now stayed here twice. The 2 double beds 1 room suite is a little tight moving around but having a separate living room is nice. It’s nice to be able to store leftovers in the full size fridge as well. There are some bowls and plates and utensils and even a dishwasher. Our room was clean. Bath tub could be updated but not gross. Water pressure was a little weak but nothing unbearable. Average breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausages and potatoes in addition to oatmeal, yogurt, bread and bagel and stuff. We didn’t try any other amenities. The best part of this hotel is the location. It’s situated next to some office building and garage parking for these building in a residential area. There’s a path to walk to a park that many residents enjoy. It’s also 10-15 min walk to many restaurants and Asian dessert shops.

We have 2 young toddlers and found old sliced apples on the floor in one corner, empty pill packets at the base of one bed and then a button under the table. We could also see a film of dust on the fridge which was low enough that I could see at my height (5’7). Overall not hateful but could have been better.

My family of 2 adults and 4 children stayed for 7 nights. The breakfast was mediocre, with little options and no fresh fruit options at all - except for bruised apples and bananas. Room service options were literally non-existent.

Parking was $5 daily in Richmond Hill/Markham area, while mostly other hotels innthearea including Delta was free parking.

Nobody cleans up your room until the 7th day apparently (as we inquired on the 5th day), and we had to keep asking for towels and garbage to be taken away.

Advertised that they have cribs, turns out only old dirty playpens that were not stored in a bag.
The rooms were borderline clean, outdated and far from looking like the photos online.

The showers were dirty, the fans made loud noises, carpets were stained, and one of the toilets in our 2 bedroom/2 bath was not working properly and we had to call maintenence twice, and it still had issues on the day we left.

There were other tenants smoking weed in their rooms, and it travelled to the hallways. Lack of security, and easy to go in and out of the hotel.

The gym was small with limited equipment, the pool was outdated and the laundry machines had multiple issues - we had to dry 4 hours for our load.

We checked for bed bugs - luckily none. However, we all had bad sinus allergies and itchy skin the entire stay. The water was hard and air circulation was horrible - our baby had hives and was uncomfortable anytime he spent too long in the room. Won't book again!
