The hotel was in a good position in the city centre with close access to Cabot Circus and fantastic to be issued with free car parking.
We had paid more for a larger room, king-size bed and bath robes, slippers etc. The room was large but a bit tired. Stains on the floor, a ripped bed base and the shower head was clogged with scale so we cleaned this and the shower bracket seized but we couldn't fix this so unfortunately water sprayed against the wall but we managed.
No robes or slippers in the room and no bottled water provided even though it was all listed.
Popped to reception and robes were then bought to the room but no slippers and you now get water from a cold water fountain in the corridor so take a drinks bottle.
Overall it was ok. We don't stay in hotels often so I'd really compared hotels in the area and I was a little disappointed but it is only a base.
It is fantastic that you get 24hrs parking as most city centre hotels don't provide this.

The shower was great although I did have to ask for the plug to be cleaned as the shower tray was not emptying after we showered also the tray was very slippery I did ask for a bath mat but sadly nothing appeared

Feels like the hotel needs a bit of investment making to keep it fresh and comfortable. Mattress was shocking .. not hotel quality at all.

Excellent breakfast good choice and very friendly breakfast team. The team deserve a special mention. However on check in the room was not ready and we were kept waiting until another team member just moved us to a room that was ready (not sure why original member of staff didn’t do that) which would have avoided the unnecessary and frustrating wait after a long journey.

The room we booked was spot on until the water failed in the bathroom, there was no water at all after a hour going back and forth talking to reception and staff they said they had found another room two floors up and we could use it's bathroom and keep our room, after some more discussion we said we would move to that room as going back and forth for the bathroom was not practical. When we got to the room it was very poor dust everywhere TV remote taped together and a TV that kept freezing never did get it to work, just one chair to sit on and it looked like it had been thrown out by a charity shop, the bathroom was not suitable as we need a walk in shower, due to the delay in moving us and sorting out our problems it was now to late for us to go out and we still could not get washed, we cancelled our plans for the night. I went back to reception and asked if this was the best and only room available in the hotel and was told that's all we have got, I at this point lost the will to live, I just collected the key cards for the room and handed back the temporary one they had given me. In the morning the manger offered me a discount on another stay or a small refund, what a joke tha staff at night did not have a clue about what they should do or could do without a manager approval. I would never stay there again even if you paid me.

Reception lady could not raise even a tiny smile to welcome us.
Lifts are incredibly slow to both arrive and get moving.
Hermetically sealed room with no access to fresh air at all. Quite claustrophobic.
Toilet paper tightly rationed!

I had not realised there was no fridge in the room - entirely my fault - but it did make keeping medicines fresh problematic.

A/C effective and plenty of hot water.

We always stay in the Future Inn when we visit Bristol. The main reasons for staying there are the proximity to Cabots Circus and the parking is paid for you by the hotel. We have always found the staff to be helpful and friendly. This time we noticed little cut backs, such as no free bottle of water in the room, instead there is a carafe that you can fill yourself from the machine in the corridor. No big deal, just noticed it. And no biscuits on the tea tray. And no amenity kit in the bathroom. Outside of the hotel, going from reception to the car park has become awfully messy and dirty, mess made by the drunks or whoever is sleeping around there. It was shocking today. When you can book on a deal, or Sunday seems to be a good price, then the price of the room is worth it.

The ‘Future’ Inn was more a vision of the future from the 1990’s. Could do with a re-fit. Felt a bit tired. I ended up with a vow of the noisy main road, and for some reason a disabled bathroom with dirty grout, and cracked tiles on the wet-room floor. The high shower outlet was clogged and poor jets, the lower adjustable rail only came up to my chest, so showers were pretty uncomfortable, and the floor got very wet. Despite booking late checkout, I was disturbed by cleaners early - luckily I wasn’t within view after having a crap shower 😆 Bae was closed pretty early and no food available at 2am… had to eat a load of Pringles and peanuts before bed… all in all a bit shoddy for the price. Sorry

I have stayed at the Future Inn on numerous times over the last few years. Initial room offered this time was a dark corner room with a small frosted window, and very dim lights. The staff were helpful in finding an alternative room. Overall the rooms are looking a bit tired and dated with stains on the carpet and chips on the furniture etc. The door needed checking that it closed as you left the room as wouldn't catch without a final pull. The cleaners had obviously not checked the everything when getting the room ready as I found a vape in one of the draws (even though supposed to be non smoking/vaping) and a sock in another draw. The bed is on the soft side but reasonably comfortable. Overall the facilities are okay and the free apples are a nice touch.

This time was the worst experience I've ever had a hotel.
Was given a accessible room for wheel chair users. I don't have a wheelchair but that's fine whatever, however the chair screwed to the wall for people who need it was the most manky thing I've ever seen all brown marks and rust...
The shower curtains were grey and also stained and a big fat bug on it upon arrival which I killed and flushed away as I'm not someone who likes to complain
There was a lot of missing grout between the tiles which was collecting all kinds of horrid stuff and grout also stained questionable colours...
The bed sheet had a large black dab of something on the top sheet when we arrived which really made me question how that could pass any kind of inspection before a guest would arrive.
Future inn used to be one of the nicest hotels you could get for a reasonable price but these days their average and I only still stay here when away because I know what to expect.
That plan has not served me well this time and soured my relationship with the company. Why wouldn't I stay elsewhere next time?
I have taken photos and didn't really know what to do as it was only a 1 night stay luckily, I still might complain because it's just not acceptable. Avoid.

Room clean and well designed. More space than we expected for the price.
Great to have cold water available by lifts on each floor, but ice cubes meant a trip to the bar.

Bar staff friendly and helpful, some of the counter staff a little less so.

Great to have air-conditioning.

Didn't know there was disabled parking available just steps from reception, until we got there. And when we went to use it, found that it was labelled as drop off area/staff parking. Checked at reception and apparently I was okay to park there, but some disabled guests would have driven off and parked further away, unnecessarily.

Hotel isn't in the city centre, but with free parking we saved more than we spent on Ubers.

Good value for money.

The hotel is modern with nice large rooms. However it’s let down by a few things.

One of the lifts was out of order. The others were perhaps the slowest I’ve ever been in.

The hotel advertises parking. When I arrived I was told it was 5 min walk away. Not exactly on-site.

There is actually parking behind the hotel, but it is all zoned off as 15min drop off zone!

Madness.

In the end I was able to park at the hotel as I have a disabled pass.

Lots of people have mobility issues, without necessarily having a disabled pass. Don’t advertise parking in site when it’s not. It’s misleading.

Once inside the hotel I put my keys and a grinder (for prescribed medical cannabis) on the counter whilst I checked in. I then was sharply “told off” by the receptionist “there’s no smoking in the rooms you know!”

I had to correct her.

1. I don’t smoke. Medicinal cannabis has to be used via a medical vaporiser.

2. I was planning to use the vape unit whilst out of the room.

3. How dare she make assumptions and challenge me over this. She made an immediate assumption that I was smoking weed illegally. I was not.

4. The new 2026 police guidelines tell officers to approach cannabis users with the assumption that they are using it legally on prescription. Perhaps your staff should do the same. I don’t appreciate having to justify the use of a prescribed medication to your staff and to be treated like I’m a criminal.

Bathroom issue: bath and shower control snapped off pre are arrival. Leaving a sharp screw threds as the only means of selection. Temperature knob hand completly snapped off with no screw remaining. Snapped off handle later found loose next to sink with no means of reattaching or use as threds strip.

Booking request made through hotel.com app not received. Reconfirm of all requirements made via direct phone call to premises day before staying requirements. As no bathroom or cot would have been provided on arrival as requested via app not received.

Good breakfast options friendly helpful atmosphere within the hotel.

Stayed here for a mid week break. We were attracted by the free car parking in city centre, which was very convenient. Room was spacious with air conditioning. They also had a water cooler in the corridor which was a god-send in this warm weather. There were a couple of minor shortcomings- chair in room had a large stain on seat, false economy using such cheap toilet paper . Also the WiFi was slow which meant it was difficult to hold virtual meetings since kept freezing and impossible to stream any movies.
However overall we were pleased and would use again.

Thr Hotel is in a brilliant location right next to the main shopping area but also within reasonable walking distance to other attractions.
The front desk staff are efficient but didn't come across particularly pleasant, that's not to say they are rude, more professional than personal.
The rooms are pretty standard fair, we had decent sleep on the large bed. It's possibly on the soft side for some but we managed. The shower is OK, ours wasn't rainfall but just the old fashion single head style, again it does the job. Everything else was OK, couple of positive points. Free water dispenser near the lift which was great, and in this area a small basket had what we presume were free apples.
The lifts are OK if not a little slow,the self service breakfast is good. Limited options but plenty enough to satisfy most I'm sure. I can't complain as I thoroughly enjoyed mine.
Big bonus is the free parking on the multistorey carpark next to the hotel, and they also give you an hour after check out.

I would be happy to stay here again and recommend to family.

There are many good things about this hotel as I prefer to stay here when in Bristol. The room I had this time on the ground floor was an accessible room which was fine but it was tired as a lot of things were loose such as light fittings etc. The door kept getting stuck on uneven carpet and did not shut on self so had to double check it locked as I left it open once. The bathroom door kept flying open and hitting yet main door as not level. The bed sank a lot which was totally different from other rooms. A little disappointed this stay. Also had not booked breakfast as let it open as not sure time was leaving and was told £18 on the day which was more expensive? Does the food get better? A little cheeky putting on excess fee when food is there already. Still great location and parking

We had two nights for a family wedding. The hotel was very good in a central position.
15mins walk from the railway station, 25mins walk through the shopping centre to the
Quay side and bars etc.

The breakfast was great and better than most hotels with a greater selection.

We would stay here again when returning to Bristol.

If you like cheap hotels and enjoy windows that aren't soundproof, next to a busy road, beds that are saggy, bathrooms that are dirty, rooms that are in need of repair, and an approach that smells of urine. This is the hotel for you. If you don't like those things, try any other hotel ever. The selling point for the hotel is the parking, right next to Cabot Circus, but that is literally all it has going for it.

Room was average clean. Underside of bath handle was gross. Corners of room dusty and set of daughter's asthma when she was hiding there.

Beds are very springy. Rooms very warm, air con limited. Shower tap was not working properly so water was very hot. Rooms quiet or a hotel next to a main road.

Water dispensers on each floor which was good.

Would not stay again. Slept badly and room not 4*.

Hotel isn't old but looks very tired - bathrooms are dark and dingy, furniture in the rooms looks tatty. It might be clean but doesn't look it.
Breakfast is plentiful but poorly cooked - and this isn't just for this stay, but regularly eggs are undercooked, bacon and sausages are undercooked.
It's all just a bit poor!
Wen i started staying here - 10ish years ago it was excellent. Those standards have slipped.

Plenty of choices for breakfast and evening meals, for adults and children alike.
Check in first around the back, then park in the multistorey at Cabot Circus. Easy! Price included in room cost. Hotel was busy (Easter hols) but quiet inside room. Air con quite noisy but not an issue. White noise...
Traffic noise can take time to get used to if you're not from a city, but it drops off quite soon after 11pm, we found.
Very happy to stay here and will do again.
Central, accessible and felt well looked after.

Check in staff were friendly. Room seemed dated but that’s fine for the price, however there were issues. White stains on the brown cushions, shower head couldn’t be adjusted so was firing horizontally, and it was very hot and didn’t reduce in temperature when you turned the dial down, even all the way down.

Hair dryer was unable to do hot air, only very slow cold air, TV was too outdated for the apps to work.

Bed was fairly comfortable for the price, but noting special and the AC did work (eventually, after saying it was set to centrally controlled.)

Parking is covered in the neighbouring shopping centre car park. Didn’t try the breakfast as seemed a tad expensive (£16).
Not bad for the price, but these things would prevent me from returning unfortunately.

The fire alarm went off at 10.45pm awaking me from my sleep, I woke up with fear and panic, guests had to go to the lobby downstairs and then after about 10 minutes the staff said it’s fine go back to your rooms, this is very poor and I was very unhappy with my stay, I was shaking for at least 20 minutes from the shock and frightened from the scare.

Parking is in the Cabot’s circus car park, which isn’t far away at all. You can park for 15 mins to drop off bags etc.
Rooms are lovely, big, clean, spacious, nice touches like wine glasses and ice bucket in the room. With water fountains in the hall.
Shower was lovely, nice smellies too.
Check in from 2pm and check out at 12pm! Perfect
We didn’t have breakfast as we had a luxurious lie in.
Super close to Cabot’s circus!

Room was comfortable and clean and more spacious than some hotels of a similar ranking. Staff welcoming and helpful. Location was central to shops. Would stay again.

Check in OK, My room Key did not work 3 times I had to visit reception to get in then to find I had a connecting room, which I did NOT book or want went down again to see manager after being told the room type I booked was all connecting, It dose NOT say that on your web site only that connecting rooms are available. Now I know I will not book that room type but you should state that that is what they are. The manager moved me at no extra charge.

I parket at the Cabot Circus car park, and walked through to the hotel. On my way there were a few loud, drunken homeless people that shouted at me asking for change. They were yelling in the street and made me feel intimidated, it's right by the hotel so this wasn't the best first impression. It stank of urine there too.

Went into the hotel and didn't get a very warm greeting - the girl spoke very quietly and asked what I wanted. I said I wanted to check in, was bluntly told to give a credit card for security - nothing screams welcome more than being treated with distrust on arrivel!! Bear in mind I'd booked and paid well in advance, this felt like a slap in the face.

Anyhow, I went to my room, it was adequate, but I could hear the elevator each time it went up and down, so not great. The windows don't open either, which I didn't like, although the HVAC worked well so I wasn't too hot or cold.

The room was nice and clean, and had plenty of storage, and was well furnished. Comfortable bed, and I had a good night's sleep.

Overall I felt that the hotel has gone downhill a bit since my last stay, don't know if I'll return. The guy running the breakfast was the most friendly person there, kudos to him.

Great location right by the Cabot Circus shopping centre. Hotel pays for parking in the Cabot Circus car park which is a good money-saving perk. Bedroom was quiet, no disturbing noises during the night or early morning. Clean bedroom and bathroom with a comfortable (not too firm not too soft) king size bed. We didn't pay for the buffet breakfast, opting rather to choose from the many stores that open nearby. We didn't have dinner either as there are other options around, but the menu and dining area looked very nice. Helpful staff - all good thanks :-)

Room was nice and clean, the bathroom smelt unpleasant though, thinking it was the drains... staff where super friendly, shops where just across the road- couldnt of been any closer.

Room wasnt massive but it did feel cosy. Bathroom door would swing wide open and bang on the desk unless you fully closed it. Shower wouldnt turn off fully. Comfy bed and nice temperature, good nights sleep. Breakfast wasn't that enjoyable - dry bacon, greasy hashbrowns, weird flavour sausages. Enjoyed the fruit and yoghurt though.
