The hotel and room were very clean and well kept. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Less than 20 minutes walk from train station. Area is very quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend to stay there while in Venezia.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel! We came from Canada and it was long day of travel. When we went to the hotel they said we could keep our luggage at the hotel until our room was ready. Once in the room, it was very clean and the bathroom was very good. The area around had some nice restaurants but the more popular areas were a little further away, but we didn’t mind because it was a chance to walk around and see the city. The staff were incredible and super helpful navigating the area. Overall a lovely experience!

Nice but hotel could do better

Stayed 3 nights in annex building, Tiepolo. It is a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom with an additional pull out sofa bed. Small kitchenette. Mold around the shower basin. Housekeeping took back toiletries after 1st day. I had to go to the lobby desk to get more, plus towels. After returning on 2nd day found my room unlocked and open. Reported to desk. Nothing stolen but clearly housekeeping is not trained properly because again i had to get more supplies. Hotel is close to university. Quiet area. I chose it because i needed to be close to the bus shuttle to airport. Can't comment on €10 pp breakfast, but the menu looked ok for cost. Overall 6/10.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Tiziano, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly greeted by the friendly and professional staff who made me feel right at home. The hotel's ambiance is elegant yet cozy, with a beautiful blend of classic and modern décor.
The room I stayed in was impeccably clean, spacious, and well-appointed with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I woke up each morning feeling refreshed. I also loved the thoughtful touches, like the complimentary toiletries and delicious chocolates at bedside.
The hotel's location is perfect for exploring the surrounding area. Whether you want to enjoy the nearby attractions or simply relax, Hotel Tiziano offers the best of both worlds. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, but my favorite was Vacaria.
What really sets Hotel Tiziano apart, though, is the exceptional level of service. Every staff member went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was perfect, offering helpful tips for sightseeing and always being available to assist with any requests.
I highly recommend Hotel Tiziano to anyone looking for a delightful and relaxing stay. It’s the kind of place you want to return to again and again!

Check in was easy, gentleman was really nice. We got an “apartment” across the street from the actual hotel which was a tiny room with a queen ‘short’ bed. Limited space to unpack and so forth. Dim lighting, we had to use a flashlight to see. Bathroom was also compact but clean. However when showering, water was cold. Hotel is away from hustle and bustle, it’s nice and quiet. After ck out we were able to leave our luggages there for the day until hopping on the ferry which was a short walk away. Thank you!

Staff was somewhat friendly but not helpful when it came to taking up luggage up to the top floor with no elevator at the hotel, had to make 2 trips with my mom to take our suitcases up and the male receptionist didn’t bother to help. Breakfast was bland with a small selection. Hotel is a 30 min walk from St. Marks basilica with little food options close by and a water taxi to get there will cost you about €60-€70. Wouldn’t stay at this hotel if I came back to Venice.

We booked the annex room and I was pleasantly surprised about how updated and new inside the room is although it looked old from the outside and the pics. I stayed in the \"single\" room. Nothing fancy but perfect for my needs. Had \"twin\" bed which is more \"full size\" by American standards. I knew to expect the hardness of bed and pillows (adjust a bit not to support neck but upper back, shoulder blades). I slept 14 hours and woke completely refreshed. I also expected the shower \"spot\", there is no shower built in just a floor drain and faucet setup, which is completely normal in Italy. The room was wonderfully quiet even though right by front desk. Staff was wonderfully helpful, courteous and friendly. By the way, contrary to previous reviews, the AC does indeed work but the settings are reversed from what is standard in America. Choose \"sun\" for AC. Choose \"snowflake\" for heat. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Although the property was clean, I did not like the family “suite”. We were in a attic room with no dresser or closet, the beams in the ceiling made it difficult to stand strait in certain parts also the bathroom was tiny with no shower only a tub and more beams so you had to bend to wash yourself and also had to sit sideways to use the toilet because you’re knees would hit the sink shelf. I would not stay here again nor would I recommend anyone staying here. Some of the staff was helpful but one particular woman was not.

The hotel is in a very quiet section of Dosoduro away from the hustle and bustle of Venice. It takes a couple of days to acclimate to the neighborhood but enjoyed. There is an annex across the street from the hotel where I stayed. At first, I wasn’t sure about staying there, but it was fine. If you prefer to be where the desk is located, request a room in that building.

The location is away from the tourist area -- lots of college students nearby, which we liked. we were in an attic room with two sky windows and one small window from which you can see the roof of neighboring buildings. Breakfast was excellent. Mattress a little bit too firm for our likings though we do use extra firm mattress at home.

The room may be a little small, but Venice is a place with small buildings so it is probably like this in most of Venice. The beds were hard but all this didn’t stop me from still giving this place a 5star review! We enjoyed our stay. It was in a quiet part of Venice, not in the tourist area. Short water taxi ride into other areas so it was no hinderance. The staff was all very helpful for any questions we may have and even lowered the breakfast price from 10 to €5 all on their own because we didn’t end up eating much. I would recommend this place!

Bedroom had permanent smell of blocked sewers and breakfast (which we'd felt was a highlight last time) was a major disappointment. Really lovely hotel! The hotel location was perfect for us as it’s only about 15 minutes walk from the station. And about 20/25 minute walk to St Marks square, which again was perfect to escape from all the crowds.
Cant recommend this hotel enough. The room was lovely, all the amenities you would expect - we stayed in the annex so didn’t have breakfast included but added this on for a charge of 5 euros per person locally - Well worth it! Staff really friendly and helpful. All great hotel :-)

My son and I stayed at this hotel in June 2019.
The staff are all wonderful, feels like a real family hotel
When we arrived, the man at the reception carried my suitcase up the stairs (there is no lift) , a young lady showed us all local attractions on a map and upon departure, a lovely lady organized a porter service to transfer our luggage to the train station.
The breakfast was good with a variety of choices. The nice lady working in the kitchen made great coffees and always ensured food was refilled when running low
The room was very large with a view of a small canal.
The area is quiet since it is out of the main areas, but it is not far to walk to the main attractions. It was nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of the busy sections
There a couple of local restaurants in the area with nice food and service

Overnight stay prior to cruise

Good accommodation where group of 6 (3 couples) stayed overnight prior to departing Venice on a cruise. Stayed in apartment approximately 75 metres from main hotel. Comfortably able to house all 6 with two double rooms and a double sofa bed with a spare unused single room and one bedroom with an extra single bed.
Breakfast at main hotel with good continental breakfast but dining area somewhat small and congested.
Helpful staff at check-in and on departure with advice re local restaurants and arranging transfer to port.
Not too far from Piazzale Roma...about 15 minutes if you can get your mobile maps to pick up the gps, we struggled and it took closer to 30 mins. If you want to make life easier you can hire a porter from Piazzale Roma who will not only cart the bags on their trolley but save you the frustration of trying to find the hotel. With heavy baggage it is probably the sensible solution given the terrain and bridges.
Would I recommend? Yes, good value and in a quieter location but with easy access to the main sights and atttractions

This was a terrific property. We were a family of 4 and had an upper floor room with suite to accommodate 2 additional single beds. The staff is friendly and accommodating and had great recommendations for food and transportation/directions. Location is on a beautifully quiet side street and it was so peaceful and away from heavy foot traffic, but still easily access to all the sites.

The room was much smaller than in the pictures...approximately 9 feet by 12 .. the bed was like sleeping on a door and the pillows like stones... I felt bruised when I woke up... it was a long way from anywhere... many bridges to cross with your luggage so be sure if you stay there you can lift your stuff up an down at least a half dozen bridges

All the staff were excellent, so very very helpful, always smiling, helped with baggage, directions, even e-mails before arrival. The room was lovely. so nice for the price, felt like a bit of luxury.. there is 24 hr concierge, so we went for a midnight walk to see the area, and loved it that late with nobody around.. breakfast had so much choice and the lady serving us was also full of smiles.. we were also able to leave our luggage in the hold, until we were ready to collect . all in all 5 star treatment , would recommend this little out of the way hotel to anyone.. and better value than the more expensive ones with no receptionist after 9pm,

Gorgeous hotel away from the tourists

It was a fabulous stay from start to finish. We only stayed one night in a self contained apartment (annex building across the canal) and was lucky enjoy to enjoy a canal view. Our check in was efficient and the very helpful staff member provided valuable information regarding the best way to head towards St Marks Square, suggestions of where to eat. The breakfast in the morning was refreshing and affordable, the staff were very attentive in serving coffee and ensuring all of our needs were met. Check out was great, they even stored our bags whilst we enjoyed another day touring Venice. The location was only a short walk from the terminus and an enjoyable walk into the main tourist areas. It gives you a chance to see a different side of Venice. It was located in Academia with students and local Venice residence occupying the area, only a few tourists were spotted. We would recommend couples or families staying here and we would stay again. Thank you

A nice hotel, comfortable and with character, and a friendly and helpful staff. It is within walking distance of San Marco but far enough away to be quiet and less touristy and more authentic. Lots of great restaurants nearby.

Really enjoyed the staff and their desire to give good service. Felt like a small family business and off the beaten path. Tv could have been improved with a few english channels, and canal view was a little less than expected. Didnt like how our room had storage in it (xtra roll away beds). Overall would stay here again because location was nice and quiet and staff was pleasant.

The hotel did NOT have air conditioning on. The Description indicated the hotel had air conditioning. The staff at night said it was off because they had turned the heat on a few weeks ago and could not turn the air back on. The day staff said it was because of the city and the city turned the air off. Either way, our first night we were on the third floor and it was extremely hot. The second night we had them move us to a lower floor. Which they did accommodate us for this change. The upper level is basically an attic with slanted ceilings and a tub/handheld shower with about a 5 foot ceiling in which you are showering with a handheld shower while bending over trying to not hit your head. (No photos of this on their website) Night 2- this is located near a home which partied until 3am. Now because we had windows open NO AIR CONDITIONING, we also were up until 3am because of the party. The night clerk indicated he called the police-but the party continued. After speaking with some locals, these parties occur often. since the air was off, we had our windows open and the noise was loud. We finally closed the windows at 230am to try to block some noise and then it was hot. They don’t have fans either. Oh and that twin “bed” is a cot. When I asked where the other bed was they pointed to a chair that folds out with a metal bar in your back. DO NOT STAY HERE. It is loud, hot, and a horrible twin COT. WE WERE LIED TO ABOUT THE AC - other hotels had ac as we asked other

Staff were 1st class,room very nice,breakfast perfect,table server excellent,location fine,no complaints whatsoever although would have liked safe in room and tea and coffee also,probably just a British thing.
