The location is about a 15 minute walk from the train station, so be prepared to carry your luggage across a bridge and a few staircases. That said, the area felt very safe especially for a solo traveler like me.

We arrived early and were able to leave our luggage, so that was a big help. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The location is good. Our room was perfect, from the slippers and chocolate on the pillow to the heated bathroom floor - I wouldn't change a thing! Breakfast is not to be missed - a very wide selection. Pay attention to the staircases - they are authentic and original.

Excellent, cozy hotel tucked into a little alleyway. The hosts are incredibly friendly and nice and helpful. Conveniently located a five minute walk from Piazzale Roma, which is where many of the airport shuttle bus services drop off. The room was nice, the bed was very comfy and the AC worked great. This hotel is amazing location if you are traveling by train. Its an 8 min walk from the train station and since there are no taxis/cars in venice it can be a real long walk to get to your hotel if you arnt careful. Its in a quieter area but still feel svery saf. The staff here was amazing and gave excellent recommendations and advice for navigating venice. The provided breakfast was also excellent and prepared by the hosts. It was super clean and had AC so it was comfortable when sleeping. The bed was also very comfortable Overall we absolutely loved staying here and will stay here again the next time we stay in venice.

Colazione con servizio un po’ lento (a causa covid quindi ok!) ma molto buona! It’s location in the heart of Venice on a very narrow street is atmospheric. It is a 12 minute walk from the S. Lucia station. One walksand meanders by canals and through piazzas and churches to arrive. Scuola San Roco is on the way. GPS is recommended. It is in a 15 century former residence. The interior spaces are small, but not crammed. It is very clean and well cared for. The staff are friendly and refined. Breakfast had very good variety. Very nice bed linens. The cost was very affordable.

We received a warm, friendly helpful greeting from the hostess, which was nice. We had reserved and paid in advance for a room with a private bathroom. Imagine our surprise and disappointment when we were shown the room...and the private bathroom which was located down the hallway from our room. This meant that we had to lock our room, unlock the bathroom, go into the bathroom, lock the bathroom, use the facilities, unlock and relock the bathroom, head down the hall to our room, unlock our room, go inside, lock the room...EACH TIME we needed to use the restroom. The locking process sounds like no big deal, but it actually is a big deal because you can only lock and unlock the room and bathrooms with a key. And the room and bathroom have two different keys. Very inconvenient in the middle of the night. The host/hostess did leave robes for us, but we really felt more comfortable throwing on a shirt and pants in the middle of the night just in case we ran into our neighbors in the hallway.
The morning breakfast was fine. Good coffee and yogurt and sweets. Coffee in the room was wonderful!
Our room floor had water on it in the evening when we came back from dinner. THe front desk was closed, and we didn't consider this to be an emergen

Lovely, clean and renovated rooms in a small pensione which sits on a little side street in the heart of Venice. The hosts were kind and very helpful providing suggestions for sights and for restaurants, and they provide an awesome breakfast. The hotel was very cozy, unique, and just a short walk from the bus station. We were immediately greeted by Romano, and he was incredibly friendly and welcoming. He gave us a map of Venice and highlighted all of the great destinations to check out during our short stay. While we unpacked Romano brought us fresh baked croissants that were very delicious. We also enjoyed the breakfast the next morning which featured numerous healthy and delicious choices. Next time we are in Venice we will definitely be staying at this location!

Ca Riza is beyond excellent. We had problem with our flight because of the weather in Venice. Romano assisted us on the phone, all the way even in the middle of his sleep at night. He is fabulous and hospitable. The room is cozy, comfortable, Linens, towels- super clean. BR/ shower room-shiny and spotless. Continental breakfast is amazing. Talking about fresh juice, out of this world. My kids, 21 and 16 wants to stay more. The atmosphere at Ca Riza is so special that it really felt like home., more than home. This is a perfectly located property near to the main bus station and people mover. We spent a night here after a cruise -so we only had a 5 minute walk from the people mover. The staff were so friendly and let us leave our luggage well before check in.

A little gem of a hotel.
Great little hotel with 10 rooms , all recently refurbished it appears. Easy to find if heading in from Piazzale Roma, approx 10 mins on foot. Comfortable accommodation with air conditioned rooms. Excellent continental breakfast in quaint breakfast area with huge spread of cold meats, cheeses, yoghurts etc all served by the hosts. The owners could not have been more helpful with guidance on maps and suggestions about where to visit based upon the time you have available. The ability to leave luggage on departure for collection several hours later was also very helpful.
Do I recommend this place? Absolutely and I would happily return here if I should re-visit Venice in the future.
