The property is situated on a small, quiet walkway while still very near lots of shops, eateries, etc. Our room was spacious and had a wonderful balcony for enjoying early morning coffee with a view in the fresh air. We walked to St. Marks and several places on the Grand Canal. Just one note: the building has no elevator, so beware.

Fantastic location. Very convenient for the train station but very peaceful and close to lots of nice, less touristy restaurants and canals etc. it was so enjoyable to just wander around the area.

Only minor point was the insistence on paying the city tax in cash. All other places we have stayed were happy to add it onto the credit card bill.

Clean & Quiet Hotel
I had a very nice stay in the Ca’San Rocco hotel. Both Valentina and Irene were very helpful during my stay. And they gave me some good ideas for sightseeing Venice. Hotel is very clean and in a nice quiet area. My room was facing the backyard of another residence. It’s a huge plus is that it’s only a 10 minute walk from both the bus and train stations. Room was quite large for a solo traveler. Breakfast was adequate but the only downside is that it wasn’t buffet style with more Choices. But I highly recommend this establishment and would return again.

What a wonderful little hidden gem! We arrived in Venice mid May and booked a 2 night stay at another property right on the canal. Boy we wished we had discovered beautiful bed and breakfast before doing that. It’s on a quiet street away from the hustle and bustle, and well worth the walk to main canal streets. Well appointed, clean and great breakfast. Staff was friendly. Our only complaints were that the pillows were not comfortable and although beautiful, the spiral stair case up to the second floor proved challenging to our over sized, over packed packs. Our next visit to Italy will definitely include a stay again!

This place is an absolute gem. They happily checked us in early because we arrived in the morning. They even brought breakfast into our room because we had to leave early the next day and the breakfast only started at 7.30!! We took some some items from the minibar just before we left and they didn't even charged us for it. In a city where people overcharge you for everything, this hotel is really an incredible exception.

Spotless & beautifully maintained B&B in a quiet area but all the main attractions in Venice can be reached on foot. Piazzale Roma, Venezia Santa Lucia railway station & vaparetto stops are all within 10 minutes walk.

Lovely B & B, 10 min walk from Piazzale Roma. But not for the unfit. That walk includes 3 bridges. Also there is no elevator. But we loved it. Friendly, helpful staff. Made suggestions and reservations for dinner. Lovely breakfast of juice, coffee, tea, cereal, yogurt, cold meats and cheeses, coissant, bread, and sweet pastry.

The hotel was fairly easy to find from the train station which is important in Venice. It was quiet with a pretty garden view. The breakfast room was beautiful and there were plenty of breakfast choices.

The hotel is in a quiet location fairly close to the train station. Our room was clean, spacious and well appointed. Breakfast is on a nice patio on the first floor. We didn't have time to use it other than to eat breakfast, but they keep it locked at all other times, which is too bad for those who might have time to relax there in the afternoon. There was no elevator, which might be an issue for those unable to carry their suitcases upstairs. Breakfast had an ok selection, but we ate towards the later part of the service and many items were gone or picked over. And, the server for coffee orders was not around (I had to ask the front desk to send her to our table) and not overly friendly when asked for a second coffee. Otherwise it was a very nice place.

A quiet, convenient little spot in Venice
Fantastic location - 5 min walk from the bus station and all of the action of the grand canal, but far enough away to be a very quiet spot. The top floor apartment with terrace had great views but the 3 flights of stairs is not advisable for anyone with heavy luggage or hip/kneee/foot issues! Breakfast was basic but tasty and more than adequate to start the day. Staff were very polite and helpful with directions, etc. Would stay here again.

Great hotel with excellent staff. City does not allow the air conditioning to be turned on (but that's everywhere in Italy we have been so far) so the windows are opened for air, but if you are a light sleeper not the place for you. The city noise will keep you awake. Bathroom with shower is very uncomfortable and no shelves for placing toiletries so it all has to stay outside the bathroom. Other members of our group had tubs in their bathroom but unsure of their experience. Hotel includes breakfast on beautiful 2nd story patio. Very nice staff, nice hotel and walking distance from Venice Santa Lucia station. Felt very safe, has gated entry and each room comes with a key to the gate. Would stay again.

This is a very clean, nice, affordable, and quiet place to stay within walking distance to everything in Venice. However, it can be difficult to navigate the streets and canals, and getting lost is easy to do. The staff were extremely helpful, and had great recommendations for food. Breakfast was a European continental breakfast, that was delicious! I would highly recommend this hotel. It is not on a canal, but that was not a problem for us.

We very much enjoyed our stay. It's conveniently located not within a short walk to the cruise terminal and people mover, bus and train terminals, and the Grand Canal. Our room was large, comfortable and clean. The staff were very helpful. A nice breakfast buffet is provided. We would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The property is charming.The decor shabby chic with a twist. We had a lovely view from our room on the second floor. The area is quiet, that is important to get away from the hustle of Venice itself.

My son and I stayed here for 3 nights in May. We were upgraded to their apartment which was lovely. It had a separate entrance and a kitchenette. It is just a short walk to train and bus station so no need to get on a taxi boat to get to hotel. The service was wonderful, the room immaculate and the beds very comfortable. The air conditioning and wifi worked well. The breakfast is delicious and the servers all very pleasant and helpful. The outdoor breakfast terrace is just so pretty and what a wonderful way to start every delightful Venetian Day! I would for sure stay here again if and when I come back to Venice.

Your Own Apartment in Venice
We wanted twin beds so Ca San Rocco B&B upgraded us to a one bedroom apartment for the same cost as the original room we had booked with a double bed. We received the same breakfast as all their B&B guests. Our apartment was older, but very spacious. Our twin beds were firm and comfortable. Beautiful tilework in the bathroom. Everything was very clean. They provided a lovely breakfast on the top floor in the mornings with outside terrace seating available as well. Some of the best cappuccino we had on our entire trip. Everyone was quite helpful when we needed to print out boarding passes. I can recommend Ca San Rocco as a lovely B&B in Venice.

Really pleased with our choice, tucked away in a quiet part of Venice near Plassa de Roma which is great as we were disembarking from our cruise ship and was only 5 minute walk away, which is really useful when you have luggage!
Reception staff were very helpful and polite and breakfast on the terrace was lovely. Our bedroom was large and light with a modern decor.

Based within a five minute walk of the railway station the hotel was in easy walking distance of everything we wanted to see. Situated in the old part of Venice and close to the centre of activity you still felt comfortable with a certain calm and quiet surrounding.
We had a thoroughly great time and would certainly stay again and recommend them to anyone. Obviously popular with lots of Aussies!

Avoid Venice in August!
Great location and service. Our room was on multiple levels which made it interesting. It had a wonderful private terrace with a lovely view. The issue we had was the heat. It was unusually warm in Venice for sure, but being on the top floor, and running both AC units full blast was still insufficient to make the room comfortable.

It's a great and quiet location. The view of the local gardens really made the room special. The breakfast buffet was the best! Water pressure was strong, but kind of awkward to get into the shower the first time, but after that you feel like a pro. SC broke the second night and had to deal with an annoying drip every 5 seconds. Obviously not the B&B's fault, just detracted from the overall quality of stay. They were very prompt to fix while we checked out. Receptionist was very nice and helpful in finding local places to eat. I would highly suggest this place.

My husband and I just returned from a lovely 3 night break. Ca San Rocco is in a nice quiet location and provides the perfect base for exploring Venice. The rooms are spacious & clean & the staff were very friendly. My only criticism is the position of our room. We were allocated the room right next door to the breakfast room which turned out to be pretty noisy. It was our first break without our children so we were hugely disappointed by the 6:30am wake up call every morning with the banging the & clattering. We had hoped for some nice lie in's given it rarely happens at home with 2 young children. If you can I would recommend requesting a different room! We did not let this ruin our stay and we would still recommend Ca San Rocco.

A lovely and affordable place in stay in Venice
Venice is an expensive place to visit if you are staying at hotels, but Ca'San Rocca made our 50th Anniversary 5-night stay in this B&B affordable and even luxurious. We arrived at Marco Polo Airport and took the bus shuttle to Pizzale Roma in Venice city. From there, it was a 7 minute walk to the B&B. We had a lovely 3rd floor room overlooking a garden. Every morning we had breakfast on the 2nd floor outdoor terrace. They also had an outdoor seating area on the ground floor where we had the pleasure of meeting the neighbor's white cat. We were a 10 minute walk from a vaporetta stop and a 15 minute walk from the Dosodura area of Venice.

Very nice hotel, location felt safe
I would definitely stay here again. I wish all our hotel stays were this nice. The staff was extremely helpful and they even served you what ever kind of coffee you wanted with breakfast. The location was very central and on a quite side street.

Little hotel tucked away from the city
Nice and comfortable rooms. Quaint neighbourhood away from the otherwise very busy city. Pretty close to the train station as well and not far away from various good restaurants. Hotel was also very accommodating by giving us the room of our choice. Only downside was the small television. But to be honest, when in Venice, don't spend time watching telly!

Beautiful B&B with great location
We loved our stay in San Rocco. Four of us (two couples) arrived here from our cruise ship, took the People Mover to Piazzale Roma, then walked about 10 minutes to the B&B. It was easy to find and located on a very quiet street. The rooms we were given were on the top floor (2nd flr) and were connected by a private hallway which meant we could close the hall door and leave our bedroom doors open when we wanted to, almost like having a suite. Our rooms, #5 & #6, both had balconies, #6 being slightly larger with a 3rd window and bathtub. The other windows were doors which opened onto juliette balconies and we loved listening to the frequent church bells of Venice. The windows looked down onto the front of the B&B and the back yards of other buildings and were very quiet. The shutters were closed & opened with push buttons and darkened the rooms when you took them all the way down. The breakfast was on the first floor, with both indoor seating and a patio area covered by vines. They served 2-3 kinds of pastries, two meats, sliced cheese and small rolls, two cereal choices and yogurt. There were 2-3 juices, our favorite was the orange, lemon, and carrot juice, a delicious combination, and milk, water. The server brought coffee, tea or cappuccino for you. When we asked, they gave us a dinner recommendation for Bacco Felice, which was close and a very good, neighborhood restaurant we dined at twice. We felt very safe here, both inside and outside this lovely B&B.

Great apartment away from the noise of the city
Venice is wonderful but at the end of the day, it was nice to retreat to a quiet location with a patio where we could sip wine and unwind from the activities of the day, knowing that you're only a block away from restaurants and city sights. We were pleased that we had a full kitchen together with a couch...a home away from home. Breakfast personnel were wonderful, as was the food. Overall, a very delightful place to stay. One of our favorites of the trip.

Fantastic Venetian Accommodation.
Ca San Rocco was situated in a quiet area only a short walk away from the main Venetian rail and bus stations and the Local ferry or vaporetto station . On booking directions were emailed to us to help locate the accommodation and this was a great help as Venice can be confusing initially. The reception staff were friendly and helpful and spoke good English . We had the Blue Room which was spacious and comfortable with a modern bathroom . The rooms were very clean and airy and the beds comfortable .
The breakfast room and balcony area were lovely . The continental breakfast was excellent . This wonderful accommodation made our experience of Venice a memorable one for all the right reasons !

Very nice small hotel within easy walking distance
Very nice, small hotel in quiet neighborhood which is within easy walking distance of everything in Venice. They gave us easy to follow directions to walk here from the train or bus station. The hostess was very friendly and informative. Our room, a triple, was fairly large and had a big bathroom with a nice tub/shower. They also provided shampoo, shower cap, razor, toothbrush in the bathroom and a bowl of hard candies in the bedroom. Breakfast included yogurt, pastries, cheese, meat, eggs, cereal, juice, coffee.
We spent one night here and they let us leave our luggage in a small room off of the lobby after check-out until late afternoon when we headed out to meet our train. I would surely stay here again if we returned to the area.

Lovely hotel with gardens nearby, very peaceful area near main tourist walk, located a short distance from train and bus stations. A bit of a walk to the Realto Bridge but that was fine as it was away from the crowds

Quiet yet very close walking to train and buses for arrival/departure, as well as easy walking through Venice. Very nice building with adjacent yards and breakfast terrace. Nice staff including Irene. Close to Billa supermarket for drinks and picnic supplies. Would enjoy staying there again.

Quiet and Charming.
Teriffic hotel. Great location, easy walk from the bus terminal. Hotel was very clean, amenities were excellent and staff very friendly. Definately in a quiet area but as with most Venice hotels all attactions are a just short walk away. Dining recommendations provided by staff were very good.

Got there a day earlier than the reservation and was going to leave a day earlier as well. The staff was very helpful with getting us in a room even though it was the busy season. They got us an apartment (on street level), instead of a hotel room for the same price! It was the best place we stayed in on our four country trip. Would definitely recommend it to anybody.

Good Location
Good location from which to explore all of Venice. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast porch was lovely. We were disappointed that the Wi-Fi access was not part of the price for the room, as we thought.

Well located hotel for exploring Venice
We stayed here for a weekend in June 2013. The hotel is very located, it is in a quiet side street close to Piazzale Roma in Venice. This makes it very quick to get to from the airport, handy if you have luggage! The reception staff are very helpful, they offered us a map of venice when we arrvied.
We arrived in the morning and they let us leave our luggage in a secure room until our room was ready in the afternoon.
The building has undergone a sympathetic refurbishment some time recently, so all the fittings are modern and everything is very clean. The room was very nice, with a large comfortable bed, motorised blinds and modern fittings. The street is away from the grand canal so it is very peaceful at night and we slept well. Breakfast was pretty good, a continental buffet with a decent amount of variety.
The main downside was that the room was very hot when we arrived. The aircon was a bit feeble and took a long time to cool it down! Also, they charge for Wifi access which I find a bit off as it is not a cheap hotel. However, I would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a good base to explore Venice, but slightly away from the crowds.

Beautiful B&B
The rooms are spacious, of good quality and very clean. Breakfast is typically Italian, but when eaten on the terrace, it adds greatly to the ambience. While the B&B is a walk from the main attractions, it is well worth the stay.

Ca' San Rocco is a charming beautiful little hotel
We stayed at the Ca' San Rocco for only one night during our short but exciting visit to Venezia. I loved the quiet location, a bit away from all the tourists but still only a 10 minute walk from the train station. Our room was the blue room. We found it immaculate and quite comfortable. The bathroom looked like it had just be renovated..so lovely. We also enjoyed the wonderful breakfast out on the terrace in the morning. The pastries and cappuccino were just delicious! This lovely little hotel is a find!!!!

Convenient location, helpful staff, charming hotel
Very helpful and kind staff, excellent English speaking as well, good location if you need to be close to Piazzale Roma, quiet at night, delicious breakfast on a beautiful deck. Room and bath very comfortable. (No elevator, if carrying suitcase up stairs is an issue, but Venice itself is filled with steps on bridges, etc.) We really enjoyed our stay there and would return.

Perfect Venetian Lodging
Ca' San Rocco is located on a quiet street/alley close to Piazzale Roma and the train station. It's a small hotel or a B&B, well maintained, well run and ideal for a 3 to 5 day stay in the city. The location is perfect for walking Venice, but since it's in a quiet residential area, it is ideal for a nap or a a good night's sleep. Oh, did I mention the nice breakfast served on the patio? I can't think of a negative thing to say.
