The hotel was beautiful and very well maintained, with an excellent level of cleanliness throughout. The staff were courteous, friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in was very nice and had everything we needed, and everything was in very good condition and worked perfectly, with a fantastic view out over the Grand Canal. Bed was comfortable, the pillows were a little too soft for my personal preference, but only because I like a slightly firmer feel to them.

Look I’d never been to Venice before. Someone else picked this hotel for me. Not sure they knew what exactly they were doing but it worked.

This hotel is accessible to an actual 4 wheel cab which means you’re not dragging your bags up and down stairs or on/off a boat to get to your hotel. It’s also pretty close to train station if that’s how you arrive but beware again ofthe stairs to get bags to hotel.

Hotel staff was very friendly, gave great food recommendations and there’s a cute little bar there for a pre-dinner glass of wine.

Couple late night news/coffee/snack stands also right outside that were super convenient.

Rooms were quite nice, well sized for Europe. comfortable and I’d imagine reasonably priced. Bathrooms were pristine, great shower and vanity the whole 9 yards. Most of the rooms probably had a canal view one way or another so very nice addition.

You have to walk around Venice anyway so you don’t need to say in the middle of town. Stick with this spot - very comfy and cozy.

We checked in for 2 nights in a Deluxe Double Room, Canal View (Canal Grande) it was very nice pleasant room . Staff are super friendly offering all way to help out all day. room all amenities are available and room is super clean. The only downside in the bathroom that the shower room is very small, although it has a separated bath. I shall suggest they merge both for more convenance. The location is superior and breakfast room makes you feel home.

The room was fine - clean, good a/c, comfortable bedding. The location is very handy - 5 mins from trains, 2 mins to airport bus.

Breakfast is a real let down - no budget but rather formal waiters. We had to pay an additional €15 to have eggs, something not clear when booking! There is a very limited range and the portions are modest.

There is no water in the rooms and nowhere nearby to buy any so bring some!

Overall I wouldn’t stay here again.

This Hotel was perfect. No walking bags long distances to hotels more centrally located. There are water taxis everywhere. Super convenient to the train station. The front desk scheduled excursions for us and gave suggestions that made our stay unforgettable. From the glass blowing manufacturers on Murano to simple restaurant suggestions. Santa Chiarra will be our first choice when we return to Venice.

Location right next to bus and train station is really convenient when arriving in Venice and it was still an easy walk (or vaporetto ride) to really cute restaurants/shops/areas of the city. Room was clean and comfortable and with great AC (which was needed since it was HOT during our visit). Only downside was the front desk staff. While I really was impressed by their multilingual ability (our check in clerk transitioned between three different languages checking us and other guests in- it was impressive!), I always had the sense they were trying to pressure us or sell us something or making a commission off of us. Ended up not feeling super helpful or welcoming. Quite different from the other locations we stayed on our European trip.

The hotel is very clean and is a a great location. It is possible to get a taxi to just behind it, yet it is right on the canals and only 5 minutes walk to the train station, so great for arrivals from the airport and onward travel. The staff were very helpful.

Great staff!!!! Super friendly and helpful. Hotel was close to the bus and train station if needed but we took a taxi which dropped you off right by the hotel. It was walking distance to a lot in the area ns beautiful view from the window of the bridge outside. The staff provided us with a tour of a glass making shop on Murano which was spectacular!! They provided the boat taxi to murano and then when finished seeing that, they gave you two options for next stop which we chose St marks square. Everything wa beautiful. Room had its own espresso maker which was super convenient. Staff handled booking the shuttle to the airport. The room was super spacious, convenient and clean!!! We had to leave some clothes there since we bought too many souvenirs and staff was helpful providing some trash bags. Super awesome place and only complaint was that we couldn’t stay a few mor days there. Molto bene!!!!

Great Location and EXCELLENT SERVICE

Santa Chiara Hotel is at the opening gateway of Venice. From the time I booked and had questions, the staff at the hotel was very responsive with answering my messages/questions quickly and offering wonderful suggestions to get the most out of our one day in Venice. Additionally, both Lorenzo and Daniel made great suggestions on places for lunch and dinner that were nearby and delicious. A perfect location whether you are getting off of a train or driving and needing to park. Located on Piazza Roma it is about a 10 minute walk from the Venezia Santa Lucia train stop or 2 ferry stops on the 1 or 2 ferry. The walk from the train does include walking over that stepped bridge you see in the photos from the hotel and it is a little steep with suitcases if your not in top form. The hotel itself has a old building and an attached new building. We stayed in the old building that has been updated and well appointed. The views are great and moments in your room can be spent enjoying people watching and watching all the boats go by. It is in the heart of activity so it can be a little noisy when trying to go to sleep if you are on the canal side.

Santa Chiara hotel is a wonderful place to stay in Venice. It is a few minutes walk away from the train station, and right across the boat stand. Beautiful hotel and spacious rooms. Gives a luxurious feeling. The reception is very responsive, and the manager Lorenzo is a jewel! He is kind, efficient and very friendly! He made sure my stay was a pleasant and enjoyable one. One of the hotel staff members, Mr. Hamad, is a kind young man who helped me with my luggage to the train station. Great staff and memorable experience! Definitely going to stay here when I am in Venice next time.

Great hotel right near train station. I picked it because my mom uses a mobility scooter and we were able to bring it from airport to hotel via taxi. The room was beautiful, overlooking the Gtand Canel (room 315). Parking is available on-site for a freee. The staff were lovely and kind and even set us up with a complimentary boat ride to Murano. Vaporretto station is right next door too. Would stay again.

Our room was nice but the beds, while big, were not especially comfortable. The staff was very professional during check in and out. There are also some nice high tech touches in the room.

Our stay was amazing! This was a stop along our 4 week road trip through Italy, France, Monaco and Spain. The hotel was great, the staff was wonderful. We didn't eat in the restaurant ($25 for breakfast for a small morning appetite was not worth it for us), we choose to eat at a little coffee café near the boat taxi stop and everything we ate was delicious! They do have parking at this hotel, but we parked at a public parking spot about a 5 minute walk to the hotel for about 1/3 of the cost. We LOVED this location! Close enough to everything using the boat taxis, but not so close to the hustle and bustle and people filled areas around the Rialto Bridge area. Our room had a view of the water and the nearby bridge!

Great choice for our 3n trip to Venice. We wanted to spot close to the Train Station to avoid a longer trek after a long day of travel. Perfect spot close to Line 2 water bus to St Marks. The Hotel very upscale, excellent and helpful staff. Our corner room with a view of the Grand Canal. It was a busy corner but Made for great people watching. The beds comfortable, extra pillows provided and rain shower head dreamy. We would not hesitate to stay here again!

This place was amazing. Perfect location. They provided us a free boat ride to see the Murano glass being made and then to Burano. The rooms were very clean, comfy bed and nice a cool AC. Service was great. A big plus was on site parking. It wasn't cheap but worth it. So many people walking around pulling luggage. The boat taxis are super expensive but the ferry is right by the hotel and cheap. Would definitely recommend this place. A+

I was very conflicted about giving this hotel a four star rating. The staff was amazing. The hotel is in a very convenient location. Ultimately, I gave this hotel a four star rating; because, I did not get a good night’s sleep and the bathroom was not functional.

Goods:
staff was very helpful and friendly
hotel is located right next to all major forms of transportation.
the hotel serves as a great launching point to tour Venice and the Grand Canal. Boat dock outside hotel is great.
lobby and hallways of the hotel are very well maintained
breakfast was good for an Italian hotel.

Others:
- the area outside of the hotel is very noisy. We heard pedestrians on the street all night long. Hotel is located in a very high transit area.
- the drains in the bathroom did not drain correctly. Shower and sinks backed up immediately.
- no fan in the bathroom caused the shower to make the whole room hot and wet
- A/C could not keep up with the hot air in the bathroom

Location for the bus station was perfect. There was no view from the bedroom as 3/4 of each window was bricked up by a pre existing wall. We only wanted to stay one night but had no option to buy only one night so had to pay for two. There was no provision for breakfast before 07{15 and our bus left at 07:00. There was a very nice coffee machine in the room but no way to boil water for tea so no tea available or milk. I reported a problem with the air conditioning and the girl on the desk said she would make a note and wrote it down. That is all she did and no one came about it so room was very warm. Room was good and nice shower room

We arrived from the Venice Airport by bus and found it very easy and convenient to locate the hotel. However, it is a very busy area because it is the only area accessible by car. It is also very close to the train station e.g. 5 minutes distance walk. You can easily get back to the hotel from anywhere in Venice by following the direction to the train which makes it less stressful to navigate Venice. The room was comfortable for three people but did not have blinds to account for daylights, it had see through linen. We may have missed something?? You can also buy coffee and croissant close by at a reasonable price.

Hotel Santa Chiara is in a very convenient location, particularly for those traveling with large luggage. Trains and taxis are easily accessible, and the area is a bit more quiet than the more central area of Venice. The hotel is beautifully appointed and the staff are very friendly and efficient. The room, for which a premium was paid to have a canal view, while very nice was NOT maintained commensurate with the charges.

Shower heads, while multiple for a relaxing experience, created a flood in the bathroom such that they could not be used.
There was a recessed light hanging from the bathroom ceiling over the shower, with exposed wires.
NO shirt/dress hangers in the closet.
Despite confirming so ahead of arrival, toiletries did not include conditioner upon check-in.
The air conditioning did NOT work and we were given a hard time about wanting to move to another room.

When moved into the second room after the AC didn't work, the tub did not drain properly.
The location was very NOISY with street noise & noise of patrons at the outdoor seating area/bar.
The guest services person at check out was rude and did not provide the same level of friendly service as those who proceeded his shift.

Staff went above and beyond for us. Free room upgrade for 2 of our four rooms. Plus got us to the airport when the taxi system in Venice failed us. We were a large family group and they were amazing. Rooms were beautiful! Position was busy near the bus terminals but the whole of Venice is busy. Plus our cab dropped us right to our door which we really appreciated when we saw people rolling suitcases along busy cobbled footpaths.
I would definitely recommend this beautiful hotel.

This is a beautiful hotel very close to the train station. It is well managed, very clean, quiet and next to the water taxis and other Venice transportation links. We stayed in room 105, so perfect with a balcony overlooking the canal and other river commutes as well as a beautiful park across the bridge. Breakfast is delicious, they have a bar, and many lounges that you can relax in. A perfect property, walkable to everything.

A great home base for visiting Venice.

Beautiful location on the Grand Canal. Easy walk to the major sites. If I came back I would pay the extra for a canal view room. Our room looked out on the bus lot which could be noisy at times.

The room is great. But the staff was not very helpful when it came to parking. We agreed on a rate as my partner is disabled, but upon leaving the hotel, the agreed price went up by 20 euros. The staff was not as helpful as we expected given the circumstances.
