Great location and rooms were renovated and are very modern. Good value for money. Less than 15 minutes walk from train station, bus station or parking lot if arriving by car. It’s also a rather quiet area. We would definitely stay here again.

Love the location , although if you hadn’t been before, the graffiti on some walls in the area could be off putting. The room itself was small but we were never in the room , other than to sleep. Bathroom clean and again small but adequate with good shower power. No fridge or kettle in the room but not a huge problem. Very quiet at nights so peaceful sleep, bed was comfortable too. Reception wasn’t manned a lot of the time but not a problem as just used a code for the side entrance, Bars, restaurants etc on doorstep and of course the smaller canals too

The staff were excellent helping us check in. We were early and they stored our luggage safe and secure until check-in time. Staff are friendly and responsive to assist. Not in the thick of the tourist area are which is fantastic. Rooms are very small and efficient. Perfect for a night or two. Highly recommend!

Lack of staff presence.

I was told staff would be present for check in until 9pm but a message was sent after we left uk and with no data roaming did not get this, until in hotel snf connected yo WiFi. Late check-in changed to 7pm. On arriving the instructions for getting in for late arrives were not complete in the initial instructions so had to use call button to get instructions to get in.
On checkout no one on desk and i think only staff in hotel was cleaner, who could do check out but did not get all details hotel needed for Venice visitors.
We felt it was a bit like a ghost hotel. Did not see any other guests either.
Room was fine, except shower on second visit dod not have any hot water. and location good for us. Not to far to Piazza Roma and cruise terminal.

Friendly reception, convenient to Piazzale Roma. Small rooms, as is typical for Venice, but clean and comfortable. I had no problem with the after-hours checkin - they give you the code for the outside doors and leave the room key for you inside. At night the entrance is off of a very small alley, but not hard to find.

Our reservations at Hotel Falier was great and everything went very smoothly. The staff (Julia) was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located adjacent to one of the canals, not to far from the \"terminal station\" (drop off point) that you can walk from...with only two bridges to cross. The hotel is also located within a nice shopping area for restaurants and a variety of shops. All in all we were very satisied with our choice to stay at Hotel Falier.

This is a budget hotel, my room was clean nicely layout, as an economy double room it was small but ideal for me on a short stay.

Overall the hotel is nice and what you would expect from a budget hotel.

Whilst the outside could do with updating to fit in with the rooms etc. don’t let this put you off.

Staff are polite and helpful.

Only downside I guess is that there is no concierge after 18.00 so the place looks abandoned.

But overall I would recommend this place.

There is a lovely cafe next door, serves great coffee and the croissants were very nice.

Also a lovely wine bar and restaurant opposite.

Pleasant aesthetic to the building and our room.
Modern touches for the AC and bathroom, with a couple minor quirks.
The bed(s) unfortunately, were quite terrible. Super squeaky paired twin mattresses that are probably as old as I am. Frequently found hard spots that pinched nerves and caused some poor sleeps.

Also, the claim that there's a 24hr front desk is just false. They do offer a good amount of instructions to allow you to come and go and do contactless check-in/out, but there's only someone at the desk for a select amount of hours during the day, and we ran into cases where the individual on staff couldn't help with what we needed.

So happy we stayed here.

Wonderful little hotel right on the water, only 5 minutes from the train station. Very comfortable and clean room at a great price. Amazing bathroom with bidet and TV that easily lets you cast your phone for night music and movies.

Service was great and the staff was super kind. Highly recommend the bar beside the hotel (AL 133) we went there for a quick cappuccino and apricot croissant every day.

The woman who checked us in was rather rude and unpleasant, didn’t attempt to speak English to accommodate us- also was rude as we checked out by just taking our cards and that was it. The room was full of bugs and we stayed for 3 nights and not once was our room cleaned or did we get fresh towels. Also the lock on the inside of our room did not work which is quite concerning. Overall not a great stay and wouldn’t stay again unfortunately.

Mosquito all you can eat hotel

Dead mosquitos with old dried blood splattered on all the walls, ceiling, furniture - really gross. Seriously clean that up.

Bed rock hard. There was supposed to be AC & an elevator, there was neither. This is the main reason I booked with them! They turned the AC off for the season and only had heat. I had to keep the windows open to not suffocate & instead battled mosquitos all night.

I’ll never stay here again & im trying to get compensation from hotels.com for the misrepresentation. Good luck to me, hotels.com service has diminished.

It was unfortunate that the building work was distracting at breakfast. However I’m sure the final verandah will be really lovely when finished. I definitely hope to visit again. It is in a great position being across the way from the bus station. The staff were above and beyond courteous and their hospitality outweighed any inconvenience of the building work.

Room was not clean. Bed linen looked very shabby. We had to take it off and sleep. The blanket they kept was definitely not washed and it was worn out fleece material. We felt disgusted to sleep on that bed. We stayed for two days. The staff did not make our room on the second day of our stay though we requested for it. There is nobody at the reception after 9pm. So we can't avail any service if needed. Communication was another problem because nobody understood English there. I strongly recommend not to choose this hotel for your stay.

The staff were all nice. The hotel itself is very aged and felt very damp and small. I would never stay here again or recommend it. The room had bars on the windows and the condition of the bathroom and bedroom was extremely dated and smelt bad. For the price you pay it’s not worth it. I wish I spent $30-$40 a night to stay somewhere a little nicer. The room was very damp and the walls were paper thin. I could hear everything from the people in the room next door. We also arrived for check in at the time listed on the website but we were told to come back an hour later.

Hotel Falier is a great place to stay if you would like to be further from Piazza San Marco. It's quieter in this area but still close to some of the more frequented locations. The room itself is good and serves its purpose. The breakfast is a great value and the common spaces are extremely useful and atmospheric. Overall, expect a decent room, great staff, and to walk a bit further to get to the main attractions, which doesn't matter because that's how you get around in Venice.

Convenient location between transportation and attractions. We were looking for just one night accommodation after getting off our cruise and flying home the next day.
The property has great staff and is very clean. Our favourite part is the lovely courtyard where we could relax after a long day walking the city.
The facilities are old. You will feel every spring in the mattress. Every. Single. One. But it was quiet and clean and secure. Continental breakfast was good. Yogurt, croissant, cereal - the usual but again, fresh, cosy and clean.

We had a wonderful time talking with staff and they were so eager to answer our questions. Typical older style hotel. 15min walk to station - only 1 stepped bridge near the station to negotiate with luggage. In a quieter part of Venice away from the central tourist area which is very busy. Some nice cafe's and restaurants within 5 mins walk. Nice breakfast with variety and good coffee. Staff were friendly. The room was very small. The bed old and hard mattress. Both mattress and pillows need replacing. The A/C hardly worked which was unplesant. The TV was tiny and old and needs updating. For the price i would expect more.

This is the second time I stay at Hotel Falier in Venice (my first stay was 2 years ago). The reason I chose it is its proximity to the Santa Lucia Railway Station. Great location in a picturesque part of the City. Other than the lady serving the breakfast (who was very pleasant), and the cleaning lady (who was amazing), the hotel staff appeared indifferent to our presence. I traveled with my daughter this time so I booked a 2 persons room. To my slight disappointment, the 2 persons room was quite small (the same size as my 1 person room from 2 years ago) with the difference that there were now 2 beds in the space instead of 1. Other than that, I cannot fault anything. I love the quaint atmosphere of this hotel. We had hot water at all times, air conditioning at all times, our room was cleaned every day and we got fresh towels all the time. The breakfast was very good. All in all we enjoyed our stay. I will definitely return.

A bit of a walking distance from the terminal especially due to all the stairs you have to climb keeping in mind carrying luggage. Not necessarly the hotels fault, but the staff is great it is 24/7 and they allowed us to keep our luggage there after check out since we had a late flight out! Venice is small, but the location is great! Wifi was also great no issues.

Good hotel for short brakes.

This hotel is in a perfect location just 10 minutes walk from the piazza Roma,20 minutes to Rialto bridge and about 30 min to San Marco. There are also many restaurants nearby.The hotel staff were very helpful and the continental breakfast was very tasty.The room was clean but a bit small and dated but in my opinion adequate to the price and to the standard.Please remember that this is 2 star hotel in great location in Venice.We really enjoyed our stay.

The room and hotel in general were very clean. The staff was uniformly friendly and helpful. The woman in charge of the breakfast room was especially pleasant and efficient. I enjoyed the breakfast, which consisted of rolls, croissants, cereal, yogurt, etc. Of course, the coffee was excellent. The hotel is in a relatively quiet area, but near most tourist attractions.

Our first room had a shower so small that a small child would have issues using it. My wife and I physically could not use it and had to ask for a room change.
The next room had a slightly bigger shower which was at least usable. The walls had black mold growing in a few different spots. The TV (not that we watched a lot) was mounted high and behind a chandelier so it was impossible to see anything while lying in bed. The WIFI was absolutely horrible. I mean our dial up in the 90's was faster. Don't plan on using it if you're staying there.
The breakfast had a very weak selection. Croissants, buns with cream cheese or butter and jams, cereal with milk. That's pretty much it. For the price we paid I expected more. The location was great but that's about all of the positive comments I have about this hotel.

Stayed here on a short city break. Would recommended if you plan to spend your time exploring and want a friendly and conveniently located base. Room was small and had no view to speak of so probably not an ideal choice for those intending to spend more time in their hotel. Only serves breakfast but there's a choice of restaurants within just a few metres of the front door.

Lovely Venitian Experience

We had a wonderful 3 days in Venice and our stay at Hotel Falier was among one of the reasons for this. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful, the location was great for walking and exploring, and overall the hotel and room itself were lovely. It was the perfect size for 2 people and the service was very attentive. We discovered that the city is highly walkable and loved the fact that we could easily reach Ponte de Rialto and Saint Mark's square on foot from the hotel while staying in a quieter area in the evenings. The hotel is also located close to great traditional dining options. I would highly recommend Hotel Falier to friends and family traveling to Venice and hope to have the chance to stay there myself once again in the future.

Very overpriced for dated and basic hotel

Was disappointed with my room - it was clean but furnishings badly needed update. Mattress was sunk in the middle, bathroom fittings of yellowing plastic, some flaking plaster in bathroom. Breakfast was the most basic - French toast in a packet, really cheap bread rolls, jam, cornflakes. Wifi didn't work at all 1 day and not in my room mostly as too far from their hub in reception. I needed to check out at 7am and was told of 24 hr reception. But reception was deserted and I was locked in the hotel. I'd already paid but I couldn't even just leave cash for city tax and the key as was locked in the building. I've stayed in other places a lot cheaper in Venice that were a lot nicer, so very disappointed and felt like they were just ripping off their guests.

A quiet road away from canal traffic, and tourists

As a two star hotel, it was comfortable. A little tired, but shabby chic.

Three good restaurants on its doorstep. 19 rooms and 7 tables for breakfast, but it seems to work as they have two hour breakfast serving time. Continental breakfasts buffet style, but plenty to eat.

Beds were rather hard, they could do with a mattress topper. The room was a little small, but we didn't spend a lot of time there, so it didn't matter too much about the size.

The trade off for our fourth floor room ( only one in this floor and accessed by a narrow staircase) was the use of a large private terrace. Lovely to see Venice from a local perspective, over roof tops and gardens!

No lifts so ask for a ground floor room if stairs are a problem. No porter service either so if carrying your case upstairs is a problem, ask for a ground floor room.

No tea, coffee making facilities, and no water provided in the room. This would make a big difference.

There was a garden for guest use but we didn't see it so I can't comment.

No bar so literally a bed and breakfast place.

No where is far away in Venice, so long as walking is something you can do with ease. Take your time and take mental notes of street names and landmarks. Be prepared to get lost and to retrace your steps, being pleasantly surprised at discovering you are near to a landmark!

A red glass fish in a shop window, a street pizza take away in a square, a quirky bridge, or bridge intersection. All ways of finding your way around.

Overall was a great hotel. Hey could do more with breakfast though. There's only Kellogg's cornflakes and bread available for breakfast and boiled eggs one morning. Need to improve on this. Wifi connection great . Friendly staff.

Good value hotel in a handy location

Room was very small, sound-proofing leaves something to be desired, and ground level rooms have a foot-path right outside the window, but if you're not planning on spending much time in the hotel (I certainly didn't!) then it's a perfectly decent roof over your head at a good price for Venice. Only 5min walk from the bus station, and only two bridges to lug that suitcase over. St Mark's Square is only 25min walk away once you've learned the route, with plenty of other sights along the way. Breakfast was only the usual \"continental\" affair (not what an Englishman really wants!) but the staff are friendly and helpful and speak good English. Luggage can be stored in a safe place (in a cupboard behind the reception desk) on your last day. There was no tea/coffee (or anything else) in the room, and the bathroom had only a shower (no bathtub), but neither was a problem for me. The free WiFi worked well.

Very clean hotel in a great location

We had a wonderful experience with Hotel Falier! They were extremely nice--especially Sheryl at the front desk! The room was great and extremely clean.The bed was very firm which we were not used to. It is in a great location with only a five minute walk to the train station but very quiet and peaceful for sleeping. Several great restaurants, bakeries and a bar nearby. I recommend to all my friends.

Nice location and quiet street

Only concern would have been if we were placed in an upper floor room because without an elevator getting our luggage up the stairs would have been extremely difficult

Pretty hotel, quiet, close to bars & restaurants.

Perfectly adequate, clean little hotel. Rooms are very small but I knew this before I booked. Breakfast wasn't really worth getting up for, dry croissants, and small cup of coffee.
If you're on a budget and just need a 'base' the hotel is perfect. Aircon worked well, wifi a bit patchy in the room.
Outside terrace was charming.
