Don’t use this booking company or hotel.

We did not actually stay at the hotel, as there was nobody there to allow access. Booking in was from 2pm, but there was nobody there and upon ringing the phone number advertised on the door, it was ‘unobtainable.’ After waiting for 40 minutes - and despite the best efforts of local people trying to assist - we had to leave and seek alternative accommodation. I later discovered the hotel sent an email with instructions on how to enter, however this was sent at 2.16pm - over a quarter of an hour after the advertised booking in time. I was oblivious to this email until much later on and was not phoned as you would expect. Also, nowhere on the site does it say there would not be a receptionist or someone to welcome you. Instructions to gain entry should be received well in advance. Also, at the entrance it looks incredibly run down. I was told by the booking company that I would have to pay a penalty too - even though we could not get into the hotel because there was nobody there!!. They later apologised and said this was actually misinformation. Ultimately, I paid for accommodation I could not use, through no fault of my own. I didn’t receive any further correspondence either. If you have any sense, do not book with this company and stay well away from this hotel. It’s been the worst travelling experience in my life and ruined the one day my family and I were due to stay in Venice. There isn’t a negative word strong enough to express my disappointment and frustration.

The walls and ceiling and bathroom were moldy. The hairdryer and shower head were broke. The second morning we woke, there was no electricity. We woke up with bug bites all over. I would never stay there had I known what we would be experiencing..
The lady that checked us in was very nice, but there was no one there on a regular basis.

We had a nice stay here before our cruise from Venice, but the hotel was difficult to contact with no one manning the front desk and needing a code to get in. The free dinner at their affiliated restaurant was very good.

The checkin process allows people to pick a key off the board and go to whatever room they like. We arrived and our larger room was occupied and we could do nothing about it. It was especially awful because we reserved a room for three people and only had beds for two. There wasn’t time to switch hotels so one of us had to sleep on the floor. The operators said she would try to find us another room, but never called us back. They made no effort to help us find a solution. Would NOT recommend! It the airconditioner wouldn’t work, so the night was HOT and especially awful. The city is beautiful, I recommend coming but stay somewhere else. I requested to get money back, but no word for the host yet. I’ll update if I can.

The location is really good. Very close to Grand Canal, bus and train station. We reslly liked the local area. Not too touristy but lots of small canals. The price for the hotel is excellent considering the very good evening meal is included. Perfect budget accommodation. A little tired but clean and with helpful staff. We would return if visiting Venice again. Good choice. We were pleased with everything. Thank you

The uniqueness was it was on the water.
It was the worst room I’ve ever been in. It was cold outside, but the heater wouldn’t come on till 6:00pm. The water in the sink was only a trickle. The bed was 2 old single beds shoved together instead of a queen size as we booked.
We checked in on a Saturday at noon and by 6:00pm I moved us to another hotel. Thank goodness I did because the next morning the entire first floor had 2 feet of water in it and you couldn’t get in or out until noon. BE WARNED!

Friendly staff but some hiccups with check in. No one was at the front desk when we checked in (around 4pm) and we waited outside for about 30mins until the door was opened for us. Hotel condition needs improvement. However, staff are friendly and location was convenient from the train station. Also, you get a complimentary dinner at a nearby restaurant.

The location was perfect! Check-in not so much. There was nobody there when we arrived. That was around noon. So we went across the canal to sit and eat while we tried to decide what to do. Check-in was listed as beginning at 2 p.m. so we hoped someone would show up at that time. The server at the restaurant we ate at offered to call the person at the hotel, which was wonderful of him. Then it was arranged that the hotel person would meet us there. After was ate, we went back across the canal and someone came to let us in. She was very unfriendly and barely spoke to us. The room was okay, with a great view, but what bothered us was what appeared to be black mold on the ceiling of the bathroom. Then again, at check-out, nobody was there to take our room key so we had no choice but to just leave it on a hook where other room keys were hanging. Overall, I would have to rate this establishment at so-so. But again, if none of the above would bother you, the view from our room was lovely.

We loved that this property was really close to the bus station where we came into from the airport and also where you get on the people mover to the cruise terminal. Our room also had a canal view (not the Grand canal but still a canal view). It was small and quaint. We walked to the water bus stop from here in about 10 minutes and rode up and down the Grand Canal on a 20 Euro 24 hour pass which was so much fun. It could be a little noisy with the window open (it was a Friday night) and there is no A/C so those are a few negatives. The room is basic but we weren’t there to spend time in the room we just needed a bed for the night. Dinner was included at a restaurant close to the train station which was equally quaint, interesting and fun. The owner was really nice and helpful.

Pros: great location on a canal and close to the people mover. It to as very quiet and super clean.
Cons: No definitive directions are given to the \"wonderful free dinner\" place. We tried to locate it but were travel weary and finally just gave up as there is nobody at the front desk to ask for assistance. Overall, a great place for a couple of nights stay.

There no one in front desk to help you or direct you, it was horrible. When I finally got a hold of woman to leave my back she said my room will be #8, when I came back no one was there as well keys for room 8 were missing, I am 7,5 month of pregnancy on top that I need to use 3 flights up to discover that room is locked then run all over trying to get a hold of anyone (zero result) trying to call and no one picks up phone as well. My experience was horrible, and owner knew that I am pregnant she just didn’t care. At the end I went to restaurant next door and asked for help.

The added dinner was real and the same owner so it was good. It was cold and the boiler was off for the season and only rooms 1-4 have heaters so bad for us. we were told their were blankets in the closet. Stairs are the only way to the upper rooms,beware

It is a quaint, older hotel with rooms on 2nd floor & above. No elevator so must be able to climb stairs. First floor is the entrance. An evening meal is provided but the restaurant is about a 10 minute walk on the other side of the Grand Canal down a narrow not well lit walking street. No one at the front desk ever. Have to call to get your room key. One you have the key, it is a nice, quaint place. No refrigerator or microwave--Older European style. Bring outlet adaptors. Hair dryer provided.

Very near to Santa Lucia train station, room is small, but is clean and comfortable with air cond and water heater. The hotel room comes with free scrumptious dinner at the restaurant near the train station. Recommended !

Very nice staff and great location are surely a big plus. The room was very small, which isn't a big concern, but the maintenance has seemingly been left to nature. The furnishings were very warn as were the curtains and paint was long overdue. The general impression was that management rolls very little profit back into the business and instead counts on visitors being 'one time' tourists. The worst thing was it was supposedly air conditioned but it didn't cool at all for us. We left the windows open to sleep and as a result got dozens of mosquito bites since none had screens. First bad review I've given but going all the way from the U.S. to Venice for an Anniversary? I expected an honest representation of what I was paying for.

Locanda Salieri is near Piazzalle Roma which is why we booked it. Just a couple of bridges to cross and you're there, yet it's far enough away to not hear any noise from it. Our room on the third floor was not overly spacious but was adequate and very clean. The bathroom was also tight on space but we only really cared about having our own private bathroom that was clean. The wi-fi was almost non-existent from our room. I think the router is by the desk at the entrance so you need to be pretty close to it to have a good connection. We arrived a few hours before check-in time so they let us store our luggage until then. The hotel has a locked entrance with a buzzer that calls the attendant's cell so even if no one is there at the time, you will get a hold of someone and they will come right over. Our stay included a free dinner at a restaurant close to the train station on the other side of the Grand Canal and it was a decent place with good food. I wouldn't hesitate to book this hotel again if we ever make it back to Venice!

This hotel is in an excellent area. The room was clean and the bathroom very clean and equipped with shampoo, soap, shower caps and disposable slippers. The only negative was the bed, which telegraphed sleepers’ motions. On a very pisitive note, the room price included a meal—lunch or dinner—at what I assume is a family restaurant a few blocks away. We took advantage of the offer for lunch and had a delicious three course meal complete with wine, bottled water, and coffee. I would caution that the rooms are all upstairs and there is no elevator.

it was a good stay though hotel personnel totally impersonal. A complimentary dinner at a not too far restaurant was a surprise part of the price at Locanda Salieri. Venice is crazy busy this time of the year but the night sleep proved quiet and restful.

Lovely hotel with very obliging staff.

We arrived early and were able to check in straight away.

They were temporarily not serving breakfast so we were able to have lunch or dinner instead which was great.

The staff were really helpful and obliging.

The view from our room was wonderful.

It was easy to get the the hotel from drop off, in just a few minutes walk.

We had a fantastic honeymoon.

Basic hotel with excellent location and management

This is a hotel to sleep and be confortable close to everything just corner to grand canal. the best is Christina their general manager, amazing profesional and person that will do anything for you to feel confortable with your hotel experience. There is no perfect hotels or companies, but having such customer oriented management and staff always make a big difference. thank you for all your support and help
