Wonderful stay here. Room was amazing and big including the bathroom even a lift. We didn’t take breakfast as wanted to explore but communal coffee and tea available.
the location is excellent for train, busses, water taxi. The management company were fantastic with communication and a very safe area for the family to explore.

The location is convenient, close to the train station and bus loop. That's about the only good thing. Bathroom was musty, dirty, and shower did not drain. It's a \"smart\" hotel which means there's no service, you just get door codes and texts from a chatbot. Ok if you just need a basic room for a night and nothing else.

this property was great for smooth check in and easy access when you get to venice. the rooms were nice and venitian style. however the a/c is poor and that is unacceptable in italy and for a three star hotel. at least provide fans. it cost a few hundred dollars to fix please dont advertise as a place with ac if you dont have it.

I recently stayed at Hotel Palazzo Martinelli Dolfin and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The hotel itself is housed in a beautifully restored historic building with elegant interiors that capture the charm of Venice.The rooms are recently renovated, very clean, and the bathrooms are spotless — which made the stay extra comfortable.

The location is a huge plus: it’s within easy walking distance to the train station and many of Venice’s main landmarks, which made exploring the city super convenient.

Overall, I’d definitely recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a comfortable, clean, and well-located place to stay in Venice.

We were told that we would get a code to check into our room after 3. We waited until 5:30-ish and still no code. I called and spoke to a lady with a crying baby in the background and told her we were sitting at the property waiting for a code. She said she would check and call us back. We never heard back from her, so I called again and she said that she had sent the email earlier, I told her again we never got an email, and asked if there was any way she could resend it. Still crying baby in background. She finally agreed to resend as we had been sitting at the property waiting and waiting to check in. Things went smoothly after that. Very nice, clean rooms! Missed our breakfast due to having to leave early bc of train strike…no refund on that….

The hotel is about a 8 minute walk from the train station. There is an elevator which is nice, and a place to store luggage. We had no problem with the Smart hotel experience. Breakfast was nice. We loved the large bed and ample lighting in the room.

Fantastic property, really historic feel BUT the AC was micromanaged by the renting organization and was not a very good experience overall due to that critical detail during a heat wave. The doors didn’t open and close properly leading to an accident on my end when the room got really really hot and I tried to open the main door so I can leave the room to get fresh air and forgot it still has the security latch engaged in leading to some framework damage. One painting fell in the main bedroom due to me falling on the floor due to heat exhaustion and my family couldn’t catch me in time. I hit my head on the concrete floor inside the room that night when I fainted from heat exhaustion. Overall the property is good property I just hope they can manage at a higher level for the amount of money they charge per night. I don’t appreciate the email accusing me of wrong doing before understanding what actually happened in my room that night. I’m asking for repair estimate so I can look at some type of repayment, they should consider giving me part of my room rent back due to the ac situation. Currently I have sharp pains in my head on the right side from the fall that took place that night in the room connected to the bathroom. I hope it’s not a longterm impact on my health. I have never had this kind of challenging experience in any of my other stays, Expedia can check my travel history. I apologize for any unintentional harm I caused their asset. I hope my health is ok long term.

This was a pleasure for us the Stay in the Hotel. Smart type hotel with codes to get in and for room. This said they had great service with rooms being cleaned every day and breakfast. In tube the the charm of Venice. Quieter side of Venice but with Water bus and taxi’s available short walking distance. Great Job to everyone and highly recommend.

This was a great choice for our short trip Venice. Very conveniently located near the bus and train terminal. The hotel is situated a very short walk from both.

The room was modern and spacious with great views along the canal. The service was excellent and prompt, especially the woman at breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to our next visit to Venice.

The property is in a nice area quiet and well connected.
I doubt i will stay again as i think there are better properties for that cost.
On arrival, despite having asked to re confirm the room i has booked i found out that they had moved us. I know that sometimes there might be unexpected issues but i would expect the property to be in touch first and some sort of apologies. Instead of the canal view and two double beds there were one bed and one sofas with only a flatsheet not even covering it and a thin duvet in a room without any window and quite low ceilings.

I called the smart reception and only after several conversations with expedia and a night without sleep we got moved to a different room where the sofa bed at least had a mattress.

Unfortunately the walls are not soundproofed so the second night another guest didn't know how to open the door of her room and she spent two hours banging against her door until i decided to go out in my pijama and explain how to use the code.

All together not an experience that i am looking forwards to repeating.

Beware-Do Not Stay Here

I checked in (remotely) and knew within the first 5 mins that I would not be staying there. The time I spent in the room(30 min max) was used to book another Hotel! I paid for a “Canal View” and was met with a view of construction, plywood and sewage water. While the room was clean it was tiny and the bed was paper thin. The main and only entry door was directly connected to a dining area (for common use) and had a large crack in it, to where you could see into the room. There was no privacy and sounds carried throughout. Overall I did not feel secure or safe in the room enough to stay. All contact with the property is contact less and instead of dealing with the hassle of “looking at their other rooms” I chose to leave and book elsewhere, Immediately! (Room view is posted in the photos. Taken on Feb. 20,2024) They should be ashamed of what they were charging for “Canal View”!

The pros: the cleaning staff and staff communicating via message are responsive, friendly and helpful, the room was a good size. The cons: location; it says it’s 6 min walk to St. Marks but it’s 30, and it says 4 min walk to grand canal but it’s 13 (and I am young and in shape). They don’t give you the wifi code until your room is ready and they email you but if you don’t purchase an international data plan you’re screwed. My room was literally in the dining room and I got up before breakfast but could hear everything, partially because there are gaps in the door. If you’re a solo traveler and concerned for your safety that is alarming. Their “storage” for your luggage is an unlocked cabinet so you have to put your faith in humanity that people don’t steal it as there is no reception. The bathroom was so small anyone who was tall their knees would hit the wall. There’s no shelf in the bathroom to put your toiletries so you have to put them on the floor. They let you check in at 3 when most places allow at 2 and check out is at 10 when most places in Italy it is 11.

I would not suggest staying at this SMART property. Orbitz sold us a room that would not accommodate our family, even though we included it in our search criteria. The hotel wanted to immediately uncharge us and would not be flexible with customer service to cancel our reservation. This was definitely NOT ideal. Maybe if you are young and traveling through europe it would be a good fit.

I should have read the one-star reviews before booking. DO NOT STAY HERE.

While a beautiful hotel inside, the hotel does not provide the amenities promised and makes it almost impossible to receive resolution to an issue. There is no one available to help you in person during your stay. The hotel has an air conditioner but fully turns off their air conditioning system throughout the hotel and does not provide any other method for air circulation. When I asked for help, a fan, anything, the hotel responds via WhatsApp - 6 hours later - and says \"everything is working\".

The hotel's air conditioner might \"WORK\" but it is not \"ON\", and it cannot be used. I don't care if it works as a system. If it doesn't work for me - the guest, then it doesn't matter. False advertising. Their solution - They say \"open a window\".

In October 2022 - it's still 65-70 degrees at night, the wind speeds are low, and mosquitoes ate me alive. I didn't sleep the entire time I was there, effectively ruining my trip to Venice.

Also - waste of money. I reserved a junior suite with a balcony. The balcony is too small for anything other than standing. Cannot fit chairs. Balcony overlooks abandoned courtyard fully in disrepair.

Difficult to locate on Google Maps. Got lost trying to find the hotel as the location provided is of a parking garage - on the other side of a canal. You need to be very aware of your surroundings and potential ways throughout the maze of Venice to get actually find the hotel.

My wife and I spent a night before returning to the US and we were extremely pleased. My only issue was that they had already switched the Air conditioning to heating since it was mid October and the room was a little warm. However after opening the windows for a while it was very comfortable. The room we got was HUGE with lots of room to move around especially packing for our return. Very close to Piazzale Roma and about a 7 minute walk to the train station. Not the most glamorous location but very safe. Killer wifi speed and extremely quiet. Would definitely stay there again.

Do not stay at this property. There is no one on site to answer questions and address problems with the room. They are supposed to be avaialble via WhatsApp but when I inquired about a problem with the air conditioner, they completely ignored me. The air conditioner was blowing cold air all night, on a cold night, and could not be switched off. When I repeatedly asked via WhatsApp if anyone could address the problem, no one responded. So the air conditioner was on all night. I contacted Expedia to see if they could reach someone from the property but after several attempts, they too said they were completely ignored. This property is worse than a hotel and an Airbnb. I feel like they have taken my money, promising a level of service, and completely failing to deliver. They have deceived me. They should not be in the business of offering accommodation services and Expedia should not be allowing them to advertise their property on their site.

Okay hotel if you dont have luggages

The room is okay and newly renovated yet they said its king bed but its just queen bed and we were 5 adults ( 1 queen and 2 single beds). Wifi is not working. If you have luggages, dint stay here, look for somewhere hotel near the train station as it is difficult to carry luggages crossing 2 bridges and walking on cobble stones.

The location was great for taking a cruise! It was walking distance. We hired a private driver to pick us up at the airport and he dropped us off in front of the business office for the hotel(apartment). Then it was a 5 minute walk to the actual hotel(apartment-one-room). At first the condition of the neighborhood scared us. However, we soon found out that it was safe and being redone to turn it into these beautiful rooms. We loved the family atmosphere outside in the surrounding neighborhoods where we walked after dinner. Great local restaurants, cafes and water taxis everywhere. The people were very, very helpful everywhere we went in this location.

The room is amazing, big and new. The location is convenient in the sense that it is close ro Piazza de Roma where you can take the vaporettos to go to San Marcos and other means of transportation. However, the AC units in the hotel didn’t work. We complained and all the other guests that we met complained to no avail. The hotel response what that the AC were checked and that they were all working. I recommend this hotel for the winter time. Definitely not to stay during summer time. The hotel doesn’t have a reception on site. The hotel managed remotely and via whatsapp. The reception is at keast a good 10 minutes walking. Breakfast is decent and tge cappuccinos prepared by the breakfast attendants are really good. .

No AC!!! AC in the room totally not work. The ACs in the common area are just fans. They just blow wind without cooling. It is very hot in the room and whole building. Nobody is helping. Call to look for AC fix but they just say “we are reception only. We cannot do anything. The only thing you can do is emailing them and wait for fix tomorrow”. The night is disaster hot. I email them immediately but the second night AC is still not working.

Don’t think you can open the window to cool. There is no window screen and there are many mosquitoes.

it is not a hotel.. check in is about 6 blocks away.. got lost looking for check in then got lost with poor direction from check in.. it was night time and to get to the place you have to go down a very dark ally .. air condition didn't work well ... no restaurant had to walk about 4 blocks for food.. the whole experience was awful

The communication between the receptionist and the reservation was poor they were having different message,
When we got to the room it was so hot and continued to be so hot the whole 3days while we are there and the reception will not help in either changing our room or improve in heat. Over all it was my worst experience

Das Zimmer war leider nicht wie auf den Bildern dargestellt. Die Dusche war umgeben von einem vergilbten Duschvorhang, die schränke und Möbel wiesen fast alle Defekte auf. Die Lampen neben dem Bett waren nicht richtig befestigt. Die Heizung im Badezimmer war defekt, weshalb es extrem kalt war.

Das Frühstück hätte man sich sparen können, aufbackbrötchen, eine Sorte Käse eine Sorte Schinken und eine Sorte Salami.

Das Personal beim Frühstück war leider nicht besonders freundlich, dreckige Teller standen durchgehend auf nebenstehenden Tischen herum.

En pleno invierno y la calefacción del baño de la habitación no funcionaba.

El problema que veo en los hoteles que no cuenta con personal en sitio, es que el mantenimiento y revisión de la infraestructura y buen funcionamiento de todos los sistemas, llamesé eléctricos, hidraúlicos, calefacción, etc. es mínimo.

Otro punto negativo, es la hora para el Check-out, a las 10:00 AM. Simplemente es muy temprano, en ninguna otra ocasión me había tocado un Check-out a las 10 AM.

Struttura comodissima a pochi passi dalla stazione. Camera pulitissima e ampia, bagno enorme finestrato tutto ristrutturato di recente. Check-in veloce e smart. Non posso commentare la colazione perché abbiamo soggiornato per partecipare alla Venicemarathon e siamo partite all’alba. Tornerò sicuramente a Venezia e sicuramente in questo hotel!!!

Fantastisk hotel i centralt og roligt område

Skønt ophold i nogle fantastiske, smukke, højloftede værelser. Centralt beliggende og alligevel i et stille område ud til en rolig lille kanal. Hele familien nød opholdet og den store gæstfrihed hos vært og personale.

Sød og imødekommende hjælp fra personalet ved morgenbuffeten, som serverede friskbrygget skøn espresso.

Gode tips til seværdigheder og aktuelle oplevelser i byen serveret via WhatsApp til morgenmaden. Rigtig god idé med relevante oplysninger.
