Excellent staff and customer service, Jenni made special effort to make our stay memorable. The hotel and rooms are clean. Only downside was small room size, limited wardrobe space and bed/mattress quality poor. There’s also a dance club on the main floor which gets noisy so for sensitive sleepers this could be a problem.

I arrived at 4 am with prior notice and my room was still not ready. They gave me a different room and promised to switch me later. Upon entering the room it looked very little like the images. The furniture was worn, faded and in rough shape. When I tried to take a shower the water scalded me and I burnt my arm. It would not cool. Additionally the shower quickly flooded. When I complained they found another room for me. I was told that the weather caused the hot water. At 4 am it was hot enough to burn. Upon going to the new room I was able to get cool water but the shower head was broken and would raise above my chest. And again it flooded, to which maintenance said they all flood. I got about 30 minutes of sleep on the rock hard bed before I packed up and checked out. Moving to a different hotel.

Excelente experiencia

Mi reciente estadía en el Hotel Citymax Al Barsha fue una experiencia verdaderamente grata. Desde nuestra llegada, fuimos recibidos con una atención cálida, profesional y llena de hospitalidad.
Un agradecimiento muy especial para Leonora, Stella y Fatiha, tres joyas en la recepción que nos trataron como auténticos reyes, siempre con una sonrisa y una disposición admirable. Y, por supuesto, gracias al manager Ahmed Farik, por liderar un equipo que realmente se esfuerza por brindar un servicio de clase mundial.
El lobby del hotel tenía un aroma encantador que invitaba a quedarse, a relajarse, a disfrutar. El ambiente era acogedor y moderno, ideal tanto para viajeros de negocios como de placer.
El desayuno fue excelente, y todo el personal del restaurante nos atendió con una amabilidad espectacular, atentos a cada detalle.
La única observación que tengo es respecto a las camas en las habitaciones dobles, que me parecieron un poco pequeñas, como si estuvieran pensadas más para niños que para adultos. Fuera de eso, todo lo demás fue impecable.
La ubicación del hotel es lo mejor que tuvimos, llena de restaurantes, tiendas de compras y una cercanía de dos Mall de los más conocidos de Dubai Emirates y Dubai Mall
Gracias por hacer de nuestra visita a Dubái una experiencia aún más especial. ¡Espero volver pronto y recomendaré el hotel con entusiasmo a todos los que viajen a esta hermosa ciudad!

Reasonable for a one night stay. Staff was helpful. Rooms are somewhat small, and smell a bit. We arrived late after midnight and the Room wasn't ready. We had to wait for a while until the room is ready. I didn't like the idea of that extensive ID verification for every one staying, but it seems a common thing among hotels in the region.

Hotel located very close to the Mall of the Emirates (just across the road). Downside is traffic can be bad at peak times. Rooms on the small side, but adequate and very clean. Two bars onsite (one sports and one with live music) both reasonably priced (for Dubai). Hotel breakfast also reasonably priced (for Dubai) - but hot choices a little limited. Roof top pool nice size (15m) and very clean, only downside is limited sun bed space. Owing to Covid, only 12 at a time permitted in the pool area on sunbeds (with no more than 8 of those in pool).

What is unique about this property is the location and sports bar. I didn't like the towels, they were too old, the room was tiny in conoarison to other rooms that seem more spacious, the bathroom was poorly installed and my safe didn't work. Honestly i am never going back after this second time.

Warm and friendly

Great staff nice team. Very comfy bed, decent sized room, desk and occasional table and comfy chair. Rooms cleaned daily. Good coffee shop in foyer and nice sports bar. Service was excellent. Great location for shopping and eating out close to metro station. Good free wifi.

I have stayed in so many hotels in Dubai but this is the worst hotel I have seen so far. I made the booking through Expedia for my friends, I even called the hotel twice to tell them that I made the booking under my name but my friends will stay there. At the check-in they couldn’t find the reservation that was confirmed when I called first, so the make a new booking for my guests charged him 176 Aed and also charge my card for the reservation they couldn’t find when my guests was checking-in. Nothing is complimentary in this hotel, slippers is 5aed, dental kit is 3aed and water is 2aed. The rooms are so small. Will never stay in this hotel ever nor recommend it to anyone. Worst hotel😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

It's a clean, budget hotel in an excellent location with great front staff. However, if you pay another 5-10 Dhs, you can have a room that has a bigger bed (this room had one double bed), toiletries like conditioner and lotion, and a shower with an actual door that will keep your bathroom floor from getting soaked.

Great hotel, with few flaws

Location, service was excellent but the hot water pipe broke and there was no hot water in the hotel for few hours. The worst thing was the a.c was not working properly and many lights were not working and my room was very dull

I've been staying in Citymax Hotel Al Barsha at the Mall for almost 5 months now and I can highly recommend it. The room is good and the staff is friendly and helpful. If you consider it a bed & breakfast you'll be happy, they lack the hotel amenities, you need to purchase toothpaste, toiletries and other 'luxuries' you would expect a hotel to provide you with.

The staff are very friendly and helpful & they do provide a free shuttle to a local beach which is nice but very time restricted: you have to select 1 of 3 4 hour slot's to leave and arrive within (8am, 9am & 10am)

The overall staff were friendly and helpful. Especially when they booked us in the wrong room. They were very quick to fix that mistake. The beds were as hard as a rock though. Which is my only complaint. Definitely need something to soften those up.

Overall I really enjoyed my stay. Hotel was located in a convenient location around the mall and restaurants. Taxi’s were always around when you needed one. Hotel staff was awesome. I never had any problems or issues. One downfall was there were no microwave in the rooms and the room size were a little smaller than expected but overall I had a great experience.

From day 1 the statf made me more than welcome and assited me with any queries. They went out their way to make mt stay fantastic and were extremely polite snd great to have a nice chat with in the morning. All of the security guards based inside the hotel made it reek even more safer and were all so friendly and helpful. They respond to ques meaning whenever they saw me aproaching the hotel with bags they would quickly grab the door and even open the lift for me i had no need to ask them. If i needed a taxi they would flag one down also. I would like to thank the 2 receptionists AIMIRA & GROGALL for making my stay so pleasent. The hotel was well maintained and definitely feels like a 5* in my opinion. My room was always cleaned and complimentary water placed in the room as well as a fride and a safe. They have a lovely pool and bar on roof top and the hotel is a 3 minute walk from Mall Of Emirates which is a very large shopping centre that has access to the Metro station which takes you all roujd dubai so its easy to travel to Dubai Mall, Gold Souk and Marina etc. The staff would recommend me places to eat and visit which shows they care about my experience. When i next come back to Dubai i know which Hotel im booking!! Thankyou.

It was good but the shower pressure on 14th floor is non-existent for hot water. Cold water pressure was fine.

Also, they lock the gym and pool early in the night which is not ideal for late night swim or round of exercise at the gym.

Free Wifi isn't great but enough for social media or quick emails, no streaming. There is an option to pay for fast Wifi.

Hotel has recently been refurbished and is very clean.

It's close to the beach and very good place to stay, 2 mins walk from Emirates mall! The only thing that I would prefer is having a microwave in the room. Otherwise it's very good. Definitely recommend it!

Great hotel by Emirates Mall

This is a great hotel situated near Emirates Mall (a 3 minute walk).
We enjoyed our stay using the dining facilitates, gym and pool which is situated on the top level. There are three lifts in this hotel which assist in getting you to your floor quickly.

The central city is a few minutes drive by cab.

-great location being close to mall of emirates/metro
-bus stop right outside and close to jumeirah beach

Bad points-
-It's important to note that if you stay in the lower floors (I was in room 522 on the 5th floor) YOU WILL hear loud music from the club downstairs EVERY NIGHT from around 10pm to 3am. I was given the option to move rooms if I wished, but I think on check in if you are offered a room on the lower floors (there are 14 in total) you should be informed about the music that you will hear every night, at least then the
guest will be aware right from the very start and can make a decision as to whether or not they wish to stay in the assigned room on arrival.

All in all I would stay here again but the hotel needs to address the issues with the music during the night as I feel this let it down.

It was clean and functional, but perhaps not worth the price. The room had two leaks in the bathroom wall and puddles of water. They changed to a renovated room which was smaller but functional. Location was convienient and close to the mall.
