We had booked for three adults but had to remind almost everyday for the equipping the room (for towels, water bottles, etc.) for three persons. Wait of nearly five minutes for hot water to start flowing in bathroom. No cricket channel on TV.

This is the first time I stayed in Holiday Inn although I have stayed in the area before in other hotels. The overall ambience of the property, facilities, convenient location and access to metro stations makes it highly desirable. I would like to call out Mr. Khurram from the reception and check-in area. He was very professional in making sure my check-in was smooth and I observed him interacting with other patrons as well. I hope to stay here again with my family in the future

Mostly everything was great besides one huge problem I had. I normally don’t allow my room to be cleaned unless I am inside for this very reason. The cleaner threw away my brand new clothing, jewelry and other accessories I purchased because he classified it as trash. It was in shopping bags. The cleaner denied it at first but I pressed on. They then went through the trash and got my brand new items out and brought them to me. However he had no business going through my stuff. If it was in a bag he should’ve cleaned around the bag. They forced me to allow them to clean and that was the result. I am still highly upset about this. When you clean you are not supposed to touch personal items no matter what. If it’s not in the trash don’t you just classify it as trash. Other than that the entire stay was great.

Excellent customer service.
Breakfast is good and have lots of variety..
Location is perfect and close to all amenities.
Many Restaurants are close by. Mall of emirates is 10 minutes walk, metro train station is 5 minutes away.

The stay was bittersweet of sorts. Started on a high note of great check in and very good standards and services by staff to finding dead insects in Asian breakfast which was acknowledged by chef and presumably corrective actions taken to the Hotel suddenly showing a cheap attitude to charging AED 20 for empty plates and cutlery one fine morning out of my 9 nights stay for which I paid AED 610+ per night. That was the lowest point and spoilt the overall stay experience. Given a chance again i would not stay with them rather opt for Novotel Al Barsha barely 500 meters away

Staying in this Property since last couple of years for business travel. Everything is fine about the Property, except the fact that the management is not supportive.. Atleast in my case this time. May be my mistake but things happens and we need to be cooperative.
I tried booking this stay when i was in mainland China but to due to the very common email glitch there, it never completed on my computer screen - - & i always reserve non-refundable booking and pay at the time of booking..

Then when i arrived HK after a week and had flawless Internet Connection, i started the non-refundable reservation again and completed it & paid it.

When I arrived Dubai a couple of days ago and checked-in this Property, i was told that there are 2 Paid Reservations under my name for the same dates and both are paid. I asked them to CANCEL one and refund and check me in on the other one.

Unfortunately they flately refused and said that since i booked with 3rd Party Expedia, therefore i should talk with Expedia only and not from them. And also that i why did i booked through Expedia and not directly with them etc.. I contact Expedia and they says they are trying to contact Property and not been able to get through.

Expedia help said that they are trying to resolve the issue and will revert in a day and then 2 days and then 3 days. And one of my duplicate bookings got cancelled as welll without refund.

now finally, just before my check out, Expedia emailed me that Property didnt approve

We arrived to a good happy welcome from Lin, she arranged storage of our luggage till we could check in. We were able to check in early and had a room on club lounge floor.
Everything was spotless and very comfortable.
We only ate breakfast in the hotel and were not disappointed, good selection of buffet food from different continents, food was tasty and hot. Staff were attentive and cheerful.
The metro was a short walk away, which is very good value, as was the Mall of the Emirates.
The hotel arranged for a taxi to take us to the airport, it was early, the driver was good and the car comfortable.
Would recommend this hotel, the staff are brilliant.

I loved everything. Staff were the highlight of our stay. Every need was met and exceeded. We looked forward to the breakfast every day purely to see the smile on the staffs faces at Gem Gardens. Alfred was amazing and lit up our morning with his genuine care for us and our 11 month old. Will definitely stay here next time we are in Dubai.

We stayed here before, and it was great. This time the quality has gone down considerably. There was no hot water. The soap dispenser was broken. The hairdryer did not work. As always, customer service was great. However, it is these little things when added up together, made for an unpleasant stay We will not stay here again.

We stayed for 3 nights during our stay in Dubai. The hotel is basic, but the location was nice because it is close to both the metro and Mall of the Emirates. The room itself is dated and worn, but had everything you expect. Water bottles are provided in the fridge, but more would be nice because of the heat. It was very humid outside when we visited and our room always felt damp. The view was disappointing; we booked a city view and looked directly at a wall of the building next door. Also if you plan on hanging out at the pool it closes quite early; 7pm. It’s also next to a busy highway so you will hear car noise on the rooftop. The breakfast had a great selection. The staff was helpful in arranging transportation back to the airport when we left. Overall I’d classify this as a basic 3 star hotel.

All the staffs are this hotel was great and helpful during my stay. From the entrance of the hotel, recessions, kitchen staffs and the life guide were all friendly and attenting to all our daily needs. Housekeeper was the best always cleaning my room. This hotel is actually nice inside. I like the breakfast buffet & the best one is the Thai restaurant!! Great food! There's a bar lounge & other venues. I didn't get to see the pool because it closed early. My room was comfortable & I was able to sleep well. However, I noticed that when they installed the big TV, there placement against the wall had small gaps. The lobby has tour excursion, concierge with any ques, luggage hold, taxi service but if you want to pay less then more use government taxi. I don't know why they use that term. You stil arrive where you want to. Private taxi doesn't have a cab sign on top of the car roof. I used a pink cab arriving from the airport late at night, private when the hotel ushered one & government taxi I requested myself. Dubai is clean! Very nice experience & different. I saw the beautiful views in the different areas of Dubai. It was a unique experience. Shopping can be expensive but you can walk around Emirates Mall to see it's rich appeal. The architectural design of the buildings in Dubai were appealing, elegant & contemporary. The view on top of the frame was nice but over price for admission. I loved Burj Khalifa but arrive very early before the crowd. Dubai Mall had a lot of restaurants, & scenic marina. Stop by a sweet shop, Juliette Delices, Souk Al Bahar, L2-054. Their chocolate, sesame, pistachio were delicious. Bought some & will return again. Their Starbucks had nice outdoor seating areas. Atlantis was great!

The Hotel is located across Al Barsha highway with full huge noises, of course that’s the major issues of many hotels on that’s direction but hopefully one of good manger provided me one of best quite rooms that made me happy and had a quiet sleep and resting there.

Really nice and comfortable hotel. Good location near 2 metro stops. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Room service food was very good. Bar was nice but too smoky and the house band was not very good. Our last night, we went to the Indian restaurant but were turned away as they were having a private party…there was nothing posted about this in advance which would’ve been nice. The spa was relaxing and I had a fabulous massage by one of the girls (from China-cannot recall her name) but she had magical hands! I would definitely stay here again.

The Staff Make This Hotel Special

We have stayed many times at this hotel and have never been disappointed and it's the super staff who go above and beyond to make your stay special. It was my birthday during my stay which I hadn't told them, even so at breakfast I had a cake and a rousing chorus of Happy Birthday. When we went back to our room later that day, Eric, our room attendant had made a beautiful swan towel display on the bed. It was very touching. So well done to you all. Special thanks to the Q Bar team. They were so welcoming, super efficient, especially bubbly and friendly Surmana who was so attentive and a pleasure to chat to. We will be back to see you all soon!

The location of the hotel is 5 minutes away from mall of the emirates and very close to the monorail but didn’t use it.
The room was spacious but it needs renovating.
The breakfast was a bit disappointing cause it’s in a small area and the variety was limited.

The front desk was very poor. They mishandled my requests, were very argumentative. The attitude was very poor. This was, however, in contrast the housekeepers. They were polite, very polite. But you see, before you get to these wonderful people, your mood is already fouled by the poor attitude of the front desk staff who essentially should be the ones to make you welcome.

one bad thing , i am member of IHG , was expecting to add points to my account against this stay , they claim no points will be added because my booking was through third party (Expedia) which is something not acceptable and does not make sense , i booked through Expedia but i stayed at the group hotel and my money for this stay will go to the group and also i choose this hotel out of hundreds of hotel on Expedia , and that choice reflect my loyalty ,,,,dis appointed policy , i stayed 9 nights with no points , i will cancel my membership to IHG , IT DOES NOT WORTH

This was my second time staying at this property. The hotel staff at the front desk are awesome. Breakfast was very good. The hotel itself could use a facelift and some of the rooms need things fixed and smelled damp. I wasn’t there for the hotel and didn’t spend a lot of time inside. The hotel is clean, safe and they change the linen daily. You can’t beat the location and price.

WORST EVER STAY AT HOLIDAY INN AL BARSHA DUBAI

OUR STAY WAS NOT COMFORTABLE DUE TO WATER FOUND LEAKING FROM BENEATH THE BATH TUB ( POOR MAINTENANCE ) THUS LEAVING THE BATH ROOM FLOOR WET AND BED ROOM LOBBY FLOOR WET RESULTING INTO SLIPPING / TRIPPING HAZARD .
THERE WAS FOUL SMELL COMING FROM THE WASH HAND BASIN AS IF SOME ELECTRIC WIRE WAS BURNT OUT INSIDE BATH ROOM .

VERY LIMITED ASIAN / HINDI CHANNELS IN THE ENTERTAINMENT / TV SECTION .

NO WELCOME DRINK SERVED etc. etc.

Perfect location to explore & only a couple of mins walk to metro station. Rooftop pool & bar is lovely with good happy hours. Decent breakfast. Thai & Indian restaurants were both excellent. Sports Bar & Music Bar were good. Pleasant staff. Overall excellent facilities for small price and a great base.
