room condition was very bad, I ended up getting a lot of things fixed up in a bathroom like shower wasn’t working properly. in my five nights I repeatedly asking to fix the AC or get me another room. No one fixed it and it’s very hot.

Location is very good near Metro and all the restaurants very convenient. And breakfast was worth of spending money on.

Worst hotel I ever stayed . Staffs are friendly but room ‘s ambience is not good . Even balcony is so dirty . Glasses is not clean . Breakfast option is very limited. Never imagined Novotel would be like that . Not upto the mark. Never come back again in same price SO/uptown is far much better than this.

Employees were very friendly esp. the pool guy from Kenya, the lobby/doorman was very helpful and willing to teach us how to take the metro, taxi, grocery etc., housekeeping is also friendly. But the room that we got has already stains, carpet stains, chairs already tainted, showers not working proper, toilet/bathtubs and walls have black stains already.. and the aircondition not cold enough.. we tried to ask for another room but they inform us that their fully booked… during midnight to morning aircon is not working efficient.. But the hotel employees were mostly friendly and accomodating… elevator is clean/resepsjon and the pool is amazing…

The carpet in the room had stains; the soap dispensers were empty; and the bathtub had brown stains. Otherwise, safe and a short walk to the train station. Be aware that some of the rooms face an adjacent mosque and thus you hear the loud call to prayer, including at 5:00 am.

We had a very poor experience at this hotel, which I booked through Expedia. The condition of the room was unacceptable (I have video evidence), yet neither Novotel, Accor, nor Expedia took the complaint seriously.

Despite repeated escalation, none of them even viewed the evidence I provided. Instead, my complaint was dismissed with irrelevant “cancellation policy” excuses! Even though I was not cancelling anything. We had already stayed there!

This shows a huge lack of accountability and guest care. Travellers should be aware that if you face problems, you cannot expect genuine support or resolution from any of these companies. Do not stay here.

Great week at Novotel! Staff new my name and treated me well. I walked the whole neighborhood late at night tons of food options around very safe. Grocery store nearby. Metro across the street . Quick taxis. Location perfect for exploring Dubai. Elephant bar had live music smiley staff willing to serve my particular requests .

Dirty hotel / Worst Novotel

During our stay in Dubai, we stayed at three different hotels. Unfortunately, Novotel Al Barsha was by far the worst experience we had. In fact, I can confidently say it is the worst Novotel branch we've ever encountered.

The housekeeping service at this hotel is simply catastrophic. For five out of the seven days we stayed, we repeatedly asked them to vacuum the floor carpet and properly clean the room, but our requests were ignored.

We had to change rooms twice due to hygiene issues, and we were in one of their suite rooms, which is supposed to be their best offering. The room was dirty, with outdated furniture. We even found human bodily fluids (sperm) on the armchair and cockroaches in the bedroom.

Additionally, the hotel is situated under highway bridges, making it extremely noisy both day and night.

Even toilets in the main hall are dirty, the public toilets in the streets are much cleaner…

I've posted a few photos here to illustrate the situation. I do not recommend this place to anyone, especially families with baby like us :(

La zone était prudente et on avait de la facilité à trouver un taxi/uber. Aux alentours il y a des restaurants, supermarchés et pharmacie. Overall je recommande l'hôtel mais prenez des chambres plus grandes.

Expedia showed me the room sleeps 4.....it doesn't. It had one double bed and one sofa bed which is just enough for 1 person, so 3 people can sleep, but not 4. Btw, the sofa bed was in a poor condition, not flat. We were stuck with this booking. Bad sleep quality affected our entire trip. I don't think I can trust expedia recommendations anymore and will book from other alternative platforms now.

Tv connection very poor. Tried to watch BBC for the U.S. Presidential elections but no sound at all.
No coffee and milk/creamer provided for reason of sustainability.
Yet shower tap is dysfunctional. Takes a long while and lots of water wasted before the required water temperature is attained.
Long wait at checkout just to get the tourism tax invoice which I had asked for at check in but was told to collect at check out. Counter staff were rather slow in their work and engaging in small talk with pax while keeping me waiting behind.
Only 2 bottles of water in the room. Insufficient.
No bedroom slippers and bathrobe provided.

The staff were really nice and the rooms were clean but plain. The hotel sits between the Mall of the Emirates and the Marina but in a non-tourist neighbourhood.

It was very close to the Metro, which was fantastic for getting around town easily, quickly and cheaply.

We did half-board which was a good option for saving some money and it meant we could have breakfast and either lunch or dinner at the hotel based off our plans for the day.

The first thing the most important for me in an hôtel is the cleanness. Here at Novotel Al Barsha, the carpet is spotted almost everywhere, in the corridors and in the rooms. You cannot put a feet on the floor without walking on dirty spots...
When you arrive at the hôtel, the doors are dirty, not cleaned all day long...
It was for me an extremely bad experience.

First time in Dubai and I was amazed! Nice hotel, very good location ( walking: metro 5 min away, mall 15 min away, grocery store 2 min!) The staff was super friendly, smiled and engaged with me everyday and night! The buffet options were varied and tasty. Overall experience was great! So inconvenient I had to remain in the room to wait for the repair to be done. No coffee and creamer provided cos the hotel was Plastic free?? Absurd.

I requested a room with a big window or some sunlight for the first room I got had neither and there was water dripping in the bathroom. The gentleman of the front office immediately moved me to another room which was smaller and again without fresh Sunlight.

Next morning the young lady at the front desk did me the best favour possible and gave me a room which had fresh sunlight and in fact a wonderful view

Nice hotel and location close to metro with great pool. The suite itself was a fantastic size and space and great value for money however the carpets could certainly do with cleaning or replacing. There was also some previous occupants hair in the bathrooms so better cleaning required.

We loved the spacious suite with a furnished kitchen, a large living/dining room, 3 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms!! The staff were friendly and helpful. However, the room service was slow and can improve. We loved the nearby restaurant and supermarket options, which was extremely helpful.

The hotel needs to improve quality of room service

I have stayed at your hotel twice before, and this was my third visit. Unfortunately, my last stay was disappointing. I stayed for five nights, and on two of those nights, my room was not cleaned at all. I had to request room cleaning services each time, despite this being a standard service that should be performed without prior notice.

We were supposed to be staying 9 nights at this hotel but after all we left 3 days early. The mattress was as hard as a rock, and the pillows were like sleeping on a deflated balloon. I woke up with a sore back and neck every morning, and I was grateful to finally check out and get a good night's sleep elsewhere. I will give credit to the staff that tried to help us but in vain and the excuse was always the same \"it's an old hotel\".

This hotel is right next to an extremely busy road and even on 30th floor was noisy. Housekeeping was regular and good but the rooms are extremely dirty in terms of carpets full of stains and filthy, grout in bathrooms and shower heads full of mould etc. We stayed half board during Ramadan and management had decided it would be a Moroccan buffet - every night - really shouldn’t be selling half board if that is the choice made. Wouldn’t recommend half board anyway as no atmosphere, no drinks offered and food covered in flies. If you are coming to Dubai for a holiday we would not recommend this hotel.

The public areas of the hotel were clean and nicely presented. However, our apartment was tired and needed a thorough clean especially the carpets which were stained. The bathrooms also needed a deep clean. The lounge/dining area was fine.
A number of requests for house keeping went without action and Reception had to be reminded several times.
We were not advised that evening meals would be based on Moroccan cuisine during Ramadan so were surprised at the limited variety.
The hotel is conveniently located and use of the Metro is good, however noise from cars on the motorway was loud even though we were on a higher floor. The windows did not dampen the traffic noise. The windows were also very dirty which obscured what would have been a lovely view.
The staff were welcoming and friendly especially those in the dining area.

Ok Hotel was in a good location but not as good as Novotel Deria where I stayed several years ago.
The TV Chanel’s were hard to navigate and the bathroom shower tiles needed fixing.
But the gym was nice and breakfast was nice with a good choice of options and location was excellent for the metro

Our experience of Novotel Al Barsha is really good

The hotel’s location is excellent we stayed in a two bedroom suite which was massive and perfectly cleaned the suite had basic amenities the only complain we had was no milk was provided and upon enquiring we were told it was because the hotel has recently switched to being sustainable and thats why no plastics are being used

I believe glass bottles or a milk carton would be a better alternative and will serve the sustainability purpose too
We booked half board but enjoyed the breakfast the most lunch is usually better and has a changing menu whereas dinner in the 365 restaurant dint seem very popular

On a few days we were woken up by a loud bang outside our suite and that wasnt very pleasant!!

The hospitality staff is very welcoming and polite

I personally would like to mention Vikas and Muskaan and the chef who makes delicious beef briskets (forgot to ask his name) for their friendliness and open communication
They all made us feel special and cared for !

The hotel has many restaurants on site we tried swiss butter and it was good (not great value for money though)

Not clean at all wr arrived and the room wasn't ready. While we are in the suite the washer mashine fladed with hot water and I have 2 babies 1and 2 years and after they fixed it they didn't clean. Next day the Lamb fall on my hawad. I don't recommend it at all

It was quite bad. The pillows in this Novotel were the worst and the staff had no ideas on how to get better pillows. Housekeeping insisted that either coffee sachets or milk pouches are not given in the room to use with the hot water kettle. So as a policy they would only give flavoured tea and sugar in the room For coffee / milk you need to order and pay.

The paint in the room was peeling and generally looked very old.

The pullout bed (sofa bed) was pathetic with a 1.5-inch mattress. The mattress cannot support the weight of an adult. This is for namesake only and don't fall for this feature/option.

Breakfast is a cut-copy-paste daily without variation and below-average in taste.

The only saving grace is the staff who are polite and friendly.

Overall, the property does not meet the Novotel Brand.
