Negative: Closet hanging bar torn from anchors, trash cans filthy and appeared to have mold, door did not dead bolt, appearance of attemps to wipe off black mold on bathroom cealing but still visible, couch and carpet in room with stains, and pool filters and walkway covered in moss/mold.

The location was great as was the parking. Staff was awesome and the bed was very comfortable, not the typical hard bed you find in hotels. The hotel was obviously a remodeled older one, as the bath tub could be resurfaced. The breakfast was an attempt at good, but lacked. Overall it was worth it and the bad made it.

Changing channels was a time consuming process so we gave up. The price was extremely elevated because of a large construction project nearby and definitely not worth the price. Donna the breakfast person was so amazing! Great attitude and friendly. Maintenence man super friendly. Front desk people awful from the beginning to the end. They first rented us a dirty room. Had not been touched by housekeeping! Then acted as if it was an inconvenience. The microwave was disgusting. Greasy inside and out and food splatter inside also it's door/ button was broken. We literally had to reach our hand in the back of the toliet to flush it. (With the front desk being so unfriendly and acting like guests are an inconvenience we didn't report it till check out) As we were leaving the maintenence man apologized and said we should've told him he would've fixed it... He was very nice and apologetic.. unlike ANY of the 3 front desk ppl we encountered. Now they are trying to charge us an extra$250. Saying it had a bad chemical smell. Is hair spray now a bad chemical smell? Because that's the only chemical used!! Well never stay at Comfort Inn and suites Abilene central again.. Air B&B from now on!!!

The first room we got was not the correct room. It was supposed to be two queen beds with a sleeper sofa and they put us in a room with only two queen beds and a chair. They switched our room to the correct room but the sleeper sofa smelled of urine and had what looked to be blood stains on it. We stay in hotels 10 to 15 times a year with our kids sports and family vacations. This has got to be one of the worst ones that we have stayed in in a long time.

Stay somewhere else. Was woken abruptly at 2:15 AM by a tall man continuously knocking loudly on my door. How was this man, NOT a guest, able to get into the hotel at that time of night? I called the front desk asking for assistance. Soon, he was gone, but then I got a call back (at 2:25 AM) by the front desk, letting me know that, "Yes, he was acting weird. He was not a guest and we asked him to leave. If he comes back, we're calling the cops." This was alarming to me, and I couldn't sleep the rest of the night. By 7 AM, I tried to shower to help me wake up, and to my disappointment, there was no hot water. At this point, I knew I didn't have time to request a new room, as I had to arrive to my job by 8:15 AM. I stayed here for work. Older facility, but clean. All I needed was a safe place to sleep and shower. I got limited sleep, did not have the assurances that I was safe, and I had no shower. The worst part? The management refused a refund. A refund holds the management accountable for terrible stays, such as this. They claim that no other guest was having hot water issues. So instead of apologizing and helping me, they chose to argue with me, as a paying customer and refused to admit that this was not acceptable service in a hotel stay. This was a bad situation and could have easily been fixed. Instead, pride on the part of the management led to this review. I strongly encourage you to shop for a different hotel.

Let me say that this was a huge disappointment. To start things off, as I entered the lobby to check in, Nautica was away from the desk and visible from about 10-15 feet away is a hallway. She asked if I was there to check in, I said yes, she then asked my name(from 10 feet away) I told her my last name to which she yelled "What!!" I then repeated it. She approached the desk and asked if I had a license?, I said yes.....you have a card? I replied yes. I was already feeling the warm feeling of regret. After the pleasant check-in process. We made our way to the room. Dark and dankness welcomed us. The room was dark and dank, Regret was in full bloom. My wife stuck her head into the bathroom to return with a horrible expression on her face. I went into the shower to see what could be the matter. I laid my eyes upon a shower that was disgusting and something I would never expect in a Truckstop, little alone a hotel chain such as Comfort Suite. It was black with mold, wet and is disrepair. The drain screen was off and upside down in the corner of the shower. We talked about staying and quickly decided against it. We grabbed all our luggage and headed down to talk to Nautica about a refund. Her attitude was much better this time, maybe because my wife was with me this time. She informed me that it was up to her manager, who would be in on Monday. We went to another hotel across the highway and I started the process of getting a refund from Expedia. Unsuccessful

The room itself was okay and the beds were comfortable, but the overall experience was disappointing. The iron in our room had sticky residue on it, and when we asked for a replacement, the staff said there was nothing they could do. We also received unwanted wake-up calls at 4:45 AM and 5:00 AM, which disrupted our sleep before a very important interview. The staff couldn’t explain why that happened. Additionally, there was no hand or body soap, and the ironing board was missing its cover, making it unusable. Unfortunately, I probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Grossest experience ever

I checked in found my room and left to run errands. When I returned later -exhaisted after long drive and work day-ate. Had issues with tv-called the desk. Repote had a mystery substance on it and the other the back fell off when pucked up. Giant hand print on tv. Guy at desk stated they would bring new remotes tomorrow. Started to shower and noticed that things were not right. Faucet not cleaned and gross. Then noticed other things linkes subatamces on the wall, mold above the bathroom door. Clumps of hair and dirt on the floor here and there. Stains on the chair, bedding, desk. Looked around the mattress and the bedskirt corner had milddewed significantly. I tried to make other arrangement and packed my things that just unpacked. I couldnt stand to stay. I complained twice initially after thinking i wpuldnt have a choice but to stay. Then i decided, no way this terrible. I told the guy i just couldnt. He gave me a papaer with email to send my pics to. Apologized and I left.

So my family and I stayed for a weekend, & it was horrible overall. We got there a little before 2PM & didn’t get into a “clean room” until about 4PM.. We also called and they said we could arrive at 1:30 because they should have the rooms clean by then. We went out to the pool, I laid out on one of the chairs (So did my sister in law) & we both were covered in fiberglass. It was all over our arms and back. On top of the dirty rooms & fiberglass, on the day of check out, we had a knock on our door 2 hours before check out telling us we need to evacuate due to a carbon monoxide leak. I will whole heartedly say the ONLY positive about this stay was this woman that worked in the kitchen for breakfast. She was amazing!! Her service was AMAZING, she joked and laughed with my kids, she was so sweet and super accommodating. By far the best hotel staff I’ve ever experienced!
