Theres no way this should be rated this highly. The wifi didnt work. I didnt get breakfast cause i was 10 minutes late. The TVs are super small and you only get one. This was twice what it should've cost. Will not go there again.

We had a wonderful stay at the Residence Inn. From the moment we arrived, the guest services team was friendly, welcoming, and very efficient during both check-in and check-out. They made the whole process smooth and hassle-free.

The room itself was spotless—super clean, well-stocked, and comfortable. You can tell housekeeping really pays attention to detail. The layout of the suite made it feel spacious, and having the kitchenette was a big plus for convenience.

The overall atmosphere of the hotel was quiet and relaxing, which made for a great night’s rest. It’s also in a convenient location with easy access to restaurants and shops.

Customer service, cleanliness, and comfort were all top-notch. We’ll definitely be staying here again on our next visit and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a stress-free stay.

The pillows where thin a very used. The trash was now picked up or room was NOT cleaned. Service stunk. The continental breakfast the juice machine was out of order each breakfast time. All you had to choose was scramble eggs and bacon, oatmeal that taste like paste, and waffles. I don’t want to stay there anymore for the price you pay. I would get better at Holiday Inn.

Overpriced, Don’t Think about it!!!!

They don’t clean the rooms daily and when they clean the room they don’t make the bed and change the sheets. The facility is very old, reception will charge you parking fees automatically even if you don’t have vehicle!!! Make sure you check your credit card statement after you checkout from this place. DONT GO it’s super overpriced!!!!

The hotel is average at best. I asked to move out of the initial room it was in rough shape. The couch cushion was torn open and the bottom part of the bed was stained. They said breakfast would be good and then the ovens weren't working so it wasn't available. I will say the people who work there are fantastic. Both ladies at the front desk were wonderful.

I was charged a parking up charge of $5.54 which I didn’t understand as parking is free I thought unless it was the elevator being down as someone was stuck Friday night in it and fire department was called. No joke

I chose this due to the Residence Inn brand and the reviews. It was well below average for a residence Inn. The property was worn and the suites were not suites. Justva single room with a stove and fridge.

A book this room to Expedia and I do not know who was at fault for the advertising but the rooms were advertised as smoking rooms and I was informed when I did my pre-check in that they do not have smoking rooms and never have so it would probably be pretty important to correct the ads for residence inn by Marriott in Abilene Texas.

The room was clean but well worn. There was no ice machine in the building because the refrigerator had an ice maker. It didn’t work. The floors felt a little slanted.
Breakfast was ok but there was no water or juice available.

The hotel has suites with full kitchens. Perfect for longer stays. The stuco on the side of the building is in desperate needbof a power washing. Lots of AC drip marks and slimy residue. The pool had algie on the steps and waterfall stones. Worst of all the AC in our room (118) would never get below 75! No mater how low you set the temp. Made for very hot and uncomfortable nights. The matress on the couch pull out bed was thin and you can feel every spring in it. My kid tried sleeping on it and decided sleeping on the couch pillows was a little better.

After a day of travel we wanted to check in and get some rest.
I am so glad I’ve grown accustomed to checking the room first and then unpacking the car bc the first room had a water leak from the ceiling. We got another room within 10 minutes. My only dislikes were that My kids found medicine in the bathroom drawer and breakfast seemed unorganized. There were dirty tables, flies and overflowing trash cans. It looked like there was supposed to be a lot of options but the staff wasn’t restocking at a consistent pace.

Definitely a 10!!!

We stayed here while traveling. I travel a lot for work and our Funtime, I can’t remember the last time a hotel checked every box. It was so refreshing. The price was great for a Residence Inn. This hotel not only looked incredibly clean, it smelled so clean. The room was so comfortable, clean and up to date. Every one of the staff we encountered were so nice and friendly. The shower was amazing, the water pressure never let up and the water was hot (stayed hot)! It was a quiet hotel even though it’s right off I20. The breakfast was hot and the omelet was really good. There was a great variety of breakfast foods. We will stay here again!

Great stay after a long weekend.

The food was good for the continental breakfast. Room was clean, a little cramped, but otherwise ok. Went to the pool in the morning for the kids and found a live rat in the pool. Got it out with a plastic cake container that was left outside from a party the previous day. Staff took action immediately to make sure that the pool was cleaned movung forward. Seems understaffed for the size of property. Absolutely not the fault of the staff, its an outside pool.

Needs work

I had to go through 3 rooms to get a room that worked - 1st room had water coming down in the bathroom the next day, they transferred me to another room that didn't have a working air conditioner. 3rd room was good until the last day when there was a large spider in the bathroom. I went down and asked for maintenance to come take care of it so I could shower they sent someone to change my sheets.

The hotel needs a total refresh as there is large scratches in the cabinets. They also need to fix the second floor all issues - (Squishy)

It was our first time staying at a \"Residence\" Marriott. Living/kitchen area was quite large and comfortable. Separate bedroom/ bathroom area was a great feature other accommodations in the area do not have. Very clean and quiet inside and out. We stayed here for 3 nights; nephews wedding in town. Wouldn't hesitate staying here again. Great friendly staff.

The property was nice and clean and the staff was friendly. My only complaint which is a small one was the circuit the waffle maker would have been plugged into was not working so instead of making arrangements for a different outlet they just didn't have the waffle makers. The other breakfast options were good but let's be honest the waffles at these places are pretty good.

Bad experience

When we first arrived, we went to check in. 3 ladies were standing with backs toward the door. Only way to get their attention was to loudly clear our throats. Was told at front desk we had to pay for parking and an additional $60 for a security deposit essentially (was not told that in the email). Once we got to our room, the toilet did not work (was not fixed until 2 days later). Not enough towels for showering. Was told maids don’t clean rooms for 4 whole days at a time. Then, the last day of our stay, the maids cleaned, but, when we came back from traveling, upon entry into our room, we noticed a bag of trash sitting in our bathroom sink (on top of our toothbrushes). Rather than come get it themselves, they gave us a latex glove and a bag to get it ourselves. Also, bed was technically made, but pillows were just thrown at the head of the bed. Not fluffed or anything.

I saw wonderful reviews. I was disappointed to have a mediocre experience. The first night checking in close to midnight was great. The ladies in the front were helpful. Got in the room and I was exhausted. The sofa bed is not comfortable and the bedding doesn’t keep you warm when you have the ac on. In the morning, I noticed the room was dusty. Housekeeping should consider removing the dust especially in common areas of the room. The dishes were put away dirty from the previous guest’s stay. There was an old candy wrap in the cupboard. The breakfast was ok. The woman at the front desk during the day don’t greet guests. The pool was not clean and had a lawn chair in it. For the price I paid, I was not impressed especially for a Marriot Hotel

Unfortunately, this hotel didn't live up to its 9.0 rating. We were in town to see my son, who goes to college at ACU, and celebrate Easter with him. I wanted to find a hotel within a short driving distance of Crutcher Field, where we would spend several nights watching him play ball.
We weren't going to have a ton of quality time with him due to his schedule, so for our downtime, I hoped we could relax back at the hotel and he could sleep on the pull-out couch. When I entered the room, it was apparent I would not have him come to the hotel. The room was overall dirty; the surface areas, including the walls in the bedroom and bathroom area, the fridge, lamp shade, and floors, didn't look like they had been wiped down or cleaned from prior use. There were fingerprints and grime on some of the surfaces. The pull-out couch was gross and had stains/spots on it. There is no way I'd sleep on that, let alone did I sit on it.

I was very disappointed. I had stayed at another hotel right next to this one and thought it would be the same quality, so I wanted to try somewhere new for future reference with our future trips to Texas.
