Great hotel, stayed for 5 nights. Amazing views, relaxing bar area and seating area upstairs.
Breakfast had a good selection.
Awesome location - for skiing and seeing the Olympic set up. Train station 10/15mins walk down the hill.

Highly recommend and would stay again.

The hotel was beautiful. Front desk and restaurant staff are not so great. Could use some humility and a big customer service course. The room had no tissues, we asked for some at the front desk, their answer was we don't use tissues, use the toilet paper (??). another instance we arrive at restaurant for breakfast at 10:30 (closes at 11), we are asked to sit in a darker area because they were getting ready for lunch (understood), at 10:45, the waiter turns the light off on us and complains (pouting) that we ask for the lights to be turned on. Other than that, the view is fantastic!

I thought we’d be too far from town center especially we don’t have a car. But it’s perfect to stay away from city center and enjoy the nature of the surrounding. Uber back & forth if needed. It’s reasonable price to either take taxi or tram to restaurants if you want to try other meals. The hotel is amazing. Service is great. Buffet n more than sufficient. If you are a gym goer, you’d love the hotel gym (biggest and elegant for a hotel)

The hotel itself was beautiful, view's breathtaking however we were only told at check-in that the spa and pool are closed until further notice and don't park in the underground car park as it is not run by the hotel and will cost an absolute fortune on checkout staff fail to tell that a free car park is available outdoors.

This hotel MADE our stay in Oslo! Gorgeous inside & out, beautiful clean rooms, comfy beds, fabulous breakfast & sunrise & sunset views across the entire city. We didn’t want to leave. Easy walk to the train which is a 30 minute journey to the centre of oslo.

Was a nice stay without being great. Housekeeping standards are terrible and staff were between very very good and very poor. Having said that, breakfast, the gym and the proper condition were very very good and transport links into Oslo are excellent

Amazing View of Oslo

Oslo has a tram stop near the hotel. A person has to walk uphill for at least a kilometer with their luggage. Besides that, hotel felt luxury. Dinner wasn't cheap, but it was the best dinner buffet I have had is Oslo.

Absolutely beautiful hotel with the most amazing views of Oslo. A bit out of the way but there is a train within walking distance that gets you into the city in no time at all. The rooms are a good size and the breakfast delicious. The beds are so comfortable and the service is great!

Staff was great. Every time I had a question, (and I had a lot) they bent over backward to help.

I do wish they offered a shuttle to/from the metro. When you get off the train, it’s a 10-15 min walk uphill in the cold to return to the hotel.

Also, I wish we had more dining options, but the free breakfast is a full breakfast which is nice. It just gets pretty chaotic in the morning and wait times for buffet items were quite long.

All of this to say, I liked the hotel. The staff was warm and friendly.

Lovely views and great little bistro. Getting to metro was an easy walk even with suitcases. Rooms were not large but space enough for 2. Shower set up makes it hard to keep dry things dry in the lav. And the pool was out of order when we showed up to take advantage of a spa afternoon. No one mentioned at the time of our booking that they’d had trouble with it all week. Breakfasts were grand and sumptuous and the property has a great lodge vibe. Would be ideal for a wedding or corporate event.

Historic yet modernized hotel, now run by Scandic, since our last stay 12 years ago. Underground paid parking vs former outdoor free parking, wonderful buffet breakfast included, but our only dinner option when we were traveling, was an expensive buffet (FYI). Beautiful view, walking distance to the tram to downtown Oslo. Nicely appointed, peaceful stay.

Lovely view and really nice hotel and nice breakfast but big hike up from the metro biggest disappointment was having to pay £55 for family to use the very average pool facilities which wasn’t clear when booking and it was main reason for booking as it looked good in photos should be free for paying guests with the price of the stay out of the whole trip between Copenhagen, Oslo and Malmo this was the biggest waste of money .

The property will welcome you with an amazing panoramic view of Oslo area and behind it is the Skimuseet, if you are interested to see it you can just walk. If you don’t drive, taxi is your best option, you can take their tram but it’s a bit of a walk downhill.

The best views over oslo

I highly recommend this hotel for visitors to Oslo who want a view of the city that’s unbeatable.
Great service, lots of facilities, a fantastic gym, have yet to sample the spa as it’s an additional amount to enter which was slightly disappointing.
Overall though it’s great, I’ve stayed on more than one trip and will recommend to others

Hotel is very nice. An excellent location and service was good. Great breakfast.
One issue I have is that the information was not very clear on the use of the spa and pool. Hotels.com advertises this but there is no clear information that there is an additional charge. One reason we chose the hotel was the spa/pool but to pay nearly £50 for two people to use this is extortionate.

Amazing property and location. However, we did not feel comfortable here because the atmosphere was very pretentious. The restaurant was extremely expensive even compared to other luxury hotels we have stayed at in norway. Parking costs extra . The room was small and there was nowhere to hang anything up to dry.

Far from train, no AC .

The room was advertised to have air conditioning which it did not. You have to walk down and back up a long hill to go to Oslo by train. About 25 min on train after a long walk. The service in the restaurant is poor. I would not recommend

Selv om jeg bor i Oslo, tar vi oss av og til en luksusovernatting i egen by. Det er så kjedelig å reise. Holmenkollen Park er en perfekt utflukt. Nok utlendinger der til å gi feriefølelse, frisk luft, og ingen gatestøy. Herlig Spa. Litt dumt at man ikke på forhånd kan vite om man får plass her. Maten i Bistroen er god og fornuftig priset. Vinen har normale påslag (ca 3x). Vi sov utmerket! Skulle ønske at frokost var inkludert, litt kjipt å bli sendt i resepsjonen for å betale på forhånd, selv om de hadde mitt kredittkort. Men vi kommer nok tilbake!

Stort fint rum i nyare del, trevlig personal och mysigt hotell att hänga på med fin utsikt. Närhet till hoppbacke och elitlängdspår. 10 min till spårvagn och trip högre upp till skidspår med olika svårighetsgrad.
Ett boende vi gärna återvänder till.
