The part of the sheer that sits right above the ac/heater when covering the entire window was moldy in the folds. The bath tub drain would not stay open, so the tub filled up with dirty, soapy water from showering. This made the surface of the bathtub VERY slippery while trying to finish showering, and getting out. Just about as slippery as the tile in the bathroom/sink area when it is wet. There apparently was a party in the larking lot we missed out on. They left a cooler, an empty beer box, a smashed watermelon, trash(although they had their own regular trash can there), a grill, a large pole from the swimming pool area, and a tool box. On a positive note, the staff were ALL, VERY friendly and helpful. Breakfast was pretty decent. The mattress was AMAZING!! I slept like a baby!!

Trying to travel through as we were moving across country and driving our two vehicles it was about 2am when we decided we just couldn't drive anymore and needed to find somewhere to sleep! We knew we would be back on the road by the time it would be for normal checkoout so not even a full 12hours that we would be there! I Booked at this brand of hotel as ive normally in the past and have always had good experiences and I knew I would most likely be paying for early check in, upon getting there to check in they told us we could not be helped to check in early as they had absolutely no available rooms at all and we would not be able to check in until normal time at 3pm mind you again it was 2am again stated they couldn't do anything for us and that I would have to get in touch with Expedia to get a refund I then reached out to Expedia who then said they had to call the hotel to confirm and guess who magically couldn't answer the phone!!!! So I had to go to another hotel and I lost money because no one has basic customer service etiquette apparently? That or everyone had the \"it's not my job\" attitude going on! Either way needless to say I will not be using that hotel chain again and or will I probably even be using Expedia again all in all terrible experience figured I'd try again since this wasn't my first bad experience with Expedia but ended up bad with both companies!

The hotel is a little outdated & so are the amenities at the price that it’s at right now,for what you get & for the area,It’s definitely a little bit overpriced.Stayed at both Best Western & Extended Stay & given a choice I’d take Best Western.Now the BIG issue.Had my property stolen.I’m not gonna sit here & assume that is was on purpose,but it was definitely stolen(by the way if you’re looking to check in early because you feel unwell,expect NO SYMPATHY from this place).I was appalled when I told the front desk I was sick & if I could please check in early (in between trips to the bathroom to throw up) & in a monotone/well rehearsed manner his answer was “u need to pay $40 if you wanna check in early“ every time.Mind u,I checked out on Friday June 5th & right after that I immediately went to Lutheran’s ER,was there all day,got admitted & didn’t get discharged til Monday the 8th so it’s not like I was lying about being unwell.Now back to the stolen property,I have a somewhat expensive robotic hand pendant (fully articulated)that I took off while in bed & put it on the nightstand next to the lamp,on check out day I was feeling so ill that I forgot to do my usual checkout walkthrough before leaving the room,so when I got to the hospital I checked & realized I had left it behind.Couldn’t call right away u know being admitted to the hospital & all,so on Sunday I called was left on hold for like 10 and was told nothing was found, they took my # but never called back to follow up.

Disappointed. The parking area is small due to large trucks using hotel. First room had a large air cleaner running due to the smell. Requested different room and the entry door stuck so bad you had to use your shoulder to open and close it. That room also smelled. We travel with a dog and have no problem paying the pet fee, realizing that special attention is needed as far as cleaning. But the smells in the 2 rooms did not come from animals. Will not be back

I chose this hotel based off of the online pics, price, rating, and amenities. However, upon my arrival, the parking lot looked like a truck stop and I was informed the elevator was broken and had to carry my luggage upstairs. There were towels used on the floor to prop open hallway doors and a baby crib next to the vending machine full of trash bags and towels. My room was fairly clean and I Clorox wiped everything down. There was a 5” spider web hanging from the corner. When I checked out the next morning, there was nobody working the front desk, and just a sign with a phone number. I had to call the number to check out. I didn’t stay the full 2 nights that I had originally reserved. If you’re looking for a safe, clean, well priced hotel, stay across the street at the Hampton!

The elevator was broken and even though I told them I just had hip surgery and had trouble doing steps, no one offered to help me with my bags or put me on a lower floor although they might not of had one open. The tv was broken when I got to the room and they did fix it but didn’t knock on the door and came in while I was changing clothes which I didn’t appreciate. The common area was filthy but they did have a lot of construction folks there and maybe just had trouble keeping up.

The room was clean, but LOOKED dingy, mostly in the bathroom areas. It could have been the lighting or tile color choice, but it was just sad looking. The lobby, while clean, smelled stongly of disinfectant. The first front desk staff person has said the same thing so many times that he rattled it off very quickly and in a monotone. The young lady at the front desk as we were checking out was lovely. The breakfast was very good.

We booked an accessible room. It was spacious. Shower was large wheel in with shower bench. Bathroom had multiple grab bars. But the toilet was so low. That would make this room inaccessible for a lot of people.

The walls were like tissue paper thin. The first night the person next door coughed the entire night. Loud enough we could hear over the TV that we turned up as loud as we thought we could,
Then other nights we could hear enire conversations and exactly what was happening on the TV show.

The lobby reeked of body odor several times.

We had stayed here before and had none of these issues. We were very disappointed with the stay.

Room dirty, toilet seat loose, bathroom doorknob and lock falling off, hot water had to be fixed, hard to shut window curtains, bed mattresses kept sliding off the bed frame when you sat on the mattress, elevator did not work. Needed extra bath towels and was given a bathmat and some kind of colored cloth-----not bath-towels!!

GOOD: The clerk Jerry who check us in saw that I was handicapped and gave me a first-floor room since the elevator was broke. Breakfast area was nice and clean and food was good (never located the Biscuits & Gravy), but there was plenty of other items to eat and drink. Staff working in that area kept everything filled and were very helpful when granddaughter tried making waffles. Also the girl who was working desk when we checked out listed our complaints------------I was not the only one complaining, she had over 10 or more people who had complained before me. Whoever owns this location sure does not seem to care about keeping the place in good condition. I will not recommend it or stay there again. 1 to 10 rating 1

This hotel was mediocre and I probably wouldn't stay here again. The place is very tired. There were dust bunnies behind the bathroom door and on the floor under the closet area which was off-putting. The bathtub-shower had what I'm assuming is rust in the bathtub floor. It was orange and again, off-putting. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was decent except that it was only open until 9am. Shabby is the word I would use for this hotel.

We voluntarily gave up our room to another guest who ordered, but didn’t receive, a handicapped room. Ours happened to be, so we switched. I suspect we were then put in a room that they hadn’t finished remodeling. The hotel was fine, and the main part of our room was OK. But the showerhead was broken, the bathtub spout was stained, the overhead bathroom fan was hanging down as it might fall, there was paint where it shouldn’t be and lack of paint where there should. The elevator was out, and the stairs up to the third floor were really worn badly and dirty. Staff left bags of linens all over the hallways in the morning so you had to work your way through to walk down the hallway. And finally, the chain lock in the room was installed backward, meaning it would be useless if needed, one screw missing with the needed scree and a cordless drill left on the bathroom counter when we arrived. Staff was nice. Breakfast was ok. Price was ok. Probably not returning.

Room was clean, but in need of a severe update. Door to the bathroom was very narrow and the tub faucet leaks. The jetted tub was amazing after the desk personnel fixed the plug….it wasn’t holding water. Water pressure was very bad for hot water and took forever to fill the tub. No handles to help you in or out of the tub and no anti-slip treads on the bottom. Elevator was broken my entire stay, so had to use the stairs. Pool was not ready for use because of the time of year. Looks small and in a very small area.
Staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Overall was a decent stay. Felt safe in the area and location was good.

I rent a couple rooms every week through Expedia for employees working in the area. I just found out from my employees the hotel is charging $6 a night if we use a 3rd party booking method like Expedia. I will not send my employees back here. I’m paying $48/week extra for 2 rooms because I use Expedia.

Nothing like getting the first floor handicapped room, when you’ve booked in advance by more than a month, and requested an upper floor room in a quiet area.

When we got the there, they nicely inform you that they are now charging an extra $6 if you booked via a 3rd party.

We go to the room and there was hair and crumbs between the sheets on one bed. We asked for another room and were told the hotel was sold out for the evening and they couldn’t move our room. Despite being their right at the beginning of check-in they couldn’t swap us to a similar room that WAS clean, and clean this one in the meantime for another guest arriving later.
Hot water for tea from the carafe in the kitchen was brown. I hope this is due to coffee stains from not being cleaned properly…

And I’ve never seen a hotel restrict you to the dining area for certain food items. Not like there was much selection. Everything just seemed below par, and the fixes should’ve been unnecessary because they are expectations really, at the lowest level.

And don’t even get me started on the noise from the adjacent room. The lack of soundproofing between the doors adjoining the rooms was disgraceful. I had to run the loud bathroom fan all night for some white noise to block them out.

I will not be coming back, and this may have spoiled the Best Western experience for me for the entire chain. It will be hard to get me into another one. Even my son was dissatisfied with everything and frustrated.

There was an undisclosed prior to arrival, $6 per day fee. It is unclear what that fee was for. The elevator was broken. It seems like it had been broken for a while. They said a phone was dropped down the elevator shaft and broke the elevator. They said the part would be there Monday but that seems like they probably have been saying that for a while now. This made getting luggage to the room a big hassle. Breakfast was good. Doors in the room to the bathroom were VERY narrow

The elevator did not work. This was not disclosed anywhere prior to the visit. When I asked about first floor room, they said those are reserved for pet reservations. There was also a $6/day fee for “parking” and some other nebulous things that was also not disclosed beforehand. With no functioning elevator you have to log your stuff up the stairs. There was not mention of a discount due to the elevator issue, and it seems like it has been that way for a while and won’t be fixed for a while also.

Room was in poor repair and had a decided odor. That's the good part. The bad part is that they demanded a credit card to hold for incidentals, even though I had paid in advance, and fraudulently charged a night's stay. They also tacked on a parking fee, even though no mention of a parking fee was made at check in. The Hotel's website says free parking. The Expedia page says bus and RV parking is included, but if you search carefully enough, you can find a self park fee for $6. Be ware.
Rest assured I will never set foot in this place again.

I was greeted with 2 fire trucks & lots of people at the front of the building just hanging out. Out of exhaustion & in an emergency due to me had been driving for 15 hrs, I checked in & was told something was going on with the elevator but everything would be good. Another guest stated that the elevator was on fire, & it was a great day for us all because we all would be getting huge discounts as she just did. I asked the attendant did I need to rebook elsewhere? She stated “NO”, everything is all good, the elevator was having issues. I then told the attendant that I had just previously had a surgery on my knee, & I could not climb many stairs. She told me that the only room they had available was on the second floor. So I took the room out of exhaustion & I limited choices. Walking to the room, through smoke filled halls & closed hall entry doors the room was just not as the photos gave from initial booking. We opened the door to a nice sized chunk of ceramic tile cracked at the entryway as we entered the room. The carpet in the room was so dirty by the time I left my socks were filthy as if I had been walking outside. The toilet leaned from side to side when sitting. Cigarette burn on the toilet. The toiletries that was supposed to be provided the body wash etc empty and the teas were not provided I had to call down to receive them. Wall heater was making a cracking sound but we needed the heat Bathroom was disgustingly moldy, smelt OLD in room. Towel rack was broken

You have been warned! I booked my room through Hotels.com. I show up and they want to charge me a $6 fee for booking through a 3rd party website. The manager says it is on the website. I ask him to show me where on the website. He looks for 15 minutes and can’t find it. I ask them to waive it because it was not disclosed and he can’t even find it. He refused. After 15 minutes of clicking back and forth to the same website he calls his manager for assistance. Just BAD business. Argue this every time. It is a scam.

The roomy smelled of mold. Turning on the AC did not alleviate the odor. I should’ve asked for a different room but it was late and I hope for better the next morning. Instead I started to get lightheaded, dizzy with head congestion. I thought I was coming down with sickness so I went to bed early. The neat morning, the toilet did not flush properly. I called to have it repaired or switch me to a different room. Someone came to “repair” it. But when I returned later in the day, the toilet still didn’t flush. So I called the desk to ask to switch to a different room. I was given a room on the same floor and was able to transfer my things easily enough. The new room had better air quality and symptoms I felt in the first room had improved. I went to bed for the night, but was awakened by a loud party in the next room. By 3:30A I resigned to a sleepless night. The next day, I checked out.

STAY HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Unclean, unsafe, and illegal practices! The room was musty, the towel holder fell off the wall onto my unshoed foot, the person in the room next to me was puking violently all night and into the morning. The outlets were unsafe and made all my chargers hot.

I got stuck in the elevator twice due to the doors not opening. They were informed, but the manager did not contact anyone about it, did not put an out of order sign up, and still allowed people to use it. This is in direct violation of multiple Indiana building code laws! The place is dirty and the staff are not helpful. They only had 1 wheelchair van access isle that was taken so I was told to park in back in a spot by the fire lane so i wouldn't be blocked in. Someone parked in the fire lane illegally making it impossible to get into my wheelchair accessible van the next morning. The front desk lady \"didn't know what to do about it\". The cops were called on the second day due to a domestic.

Due to the safety issues, I did not feel comfortable staying a second night as a wheelchair user on the 3rd floor with a non-functional elevator, police being called and being a single, disabled female traveler. The manager refused to refund my second night.

After my stay I incurred a \"parking fee\" for $6 dollars a day. The advertisement on Expedia says \"Self parking included.
When I called to ask about the charge they said they forgot to tell me about the fee and they were okay with me writing a review about it. Will not be staying again.

Everything was as expected. I stayed for 1 night after having surgery. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was great. Only complaint i guess i had was that the toilet was so low to the ground in a handicap bathroom. But i still would recommend and give 5 stars.

Staff was courtesy the room needed cobwebs removed from the ceiling over the bed. We were in room 101 the back door was slamming shut clear up to midnight about every 15 minutes. Was a nice stay other than the door.

Light switch in bathroom broken, no hand soap dispenser off the wall and no soap. Just went to shower and no body soap. Is it not the responsibility of house keeping to check these things? Staff on duty did provide hand soap as soon as I reported it after checking in. I had a gut feeling should have checked shower lotions

I felt harassed because there was a white guy around like 3-4pm he was working and me and my friends went to go look at the snacks and and changed our minds and put them back and he was claiming that we stole when there was clearly NOTHING GONE. He just keep saying and asking questions that didn’t concern him.

The gentleman at the front desk was exceptional. Very attentive and friendly.
The room was subpar. I give the following as areas of opportunity to improve:
* The room was outdated, not a USB port in sight. Even the alarm clock needed a USB adapter for power, making it useless.
* There was no hand soap in the room.
* The tub was dirty and had mold.
Positive:
The bed was fairly comfortable
Quiet building, which was great.

The lobby looks as it was recently remodeled, hopefully there are plans to do the same to the rooms.
