Place needs some money injected into it or new ownership. It is not run down but it is at the beginning stages of it. Room we stayed in had cleanliness/ amenity issues and there were a few others ahead of me complaining of the same things. Wrappers behind the TV, small stains on several surfaces, barely functioning fridge, wallpaper coming off, and the best part, three only decaf K-cups for the coffee machine. The bar is bare bones and are out of everything and do not have draft beer at all. Hot tub is closed until further notice. Breakfast wasn't even being served one of the days we PAID for because they just forgot about it. We got switched on the room one of us booked from a King suite to a cheaper queen room and we're told it was because we booked on hotels.com, not directly and there was nothing else available. They gave us free breakfast and some money was refunded but we will not be coming back to this particular hotel. Apparently the Holiday Inn Expresses are better. It's not far from all the stuff to do in Fort Wayne which is why we stayed here, but had we known, we would have opted to drive further. We chose this hotel for the amenities, & were dissapointed by all of them.

Not recommended, at least not in its current state, as they are way overpriced, not at all like the pictures. You can find a place nearby way cheaper with better amenities. The staff were nice, but you could tell they hear about these experiences alot and wish something could be done about it.

The hotel costs about 3x more a night than it should! Way too expensive for what you get.
The room smelled, I had to buy Lysol and spray the room completely several times.
There were stains on the floor, hopefully not blood - brownish red coloring. The air/heat unit control panel was held on by duct tape.
I believe there was a lucky charms marshmallow in the vent. You have to get your own towels for day 2, there is only a maid service every 3 days per their sign in the lobby.

In town for a concert at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum and this property is walking distance to the venue, a big plus. The area around was the motel had very nice walking paths and a walking bridge across the St. Joseph River and the area seemed very safe. The property is a bit worn down and in need of some carpet removal / deep cleaning. We were on the 6th floor and the hallway has a smell to it. The carpet also looked rather worn and dirty. Our room itself seemed clean and the bed was comfortable. Rooms has fridges, Keurig coffee makers and microwaves. We were on a trip with friends, but our room did not have a microwave. Due to location to the coliseum, would stay again but I would really hope management would put more into the cleaning and hotel repair. The staff was helpful but did seem understaffed.

When we checked in, we were not told the breakfast bar was going to be down for the weekend and not accommodated for this at all. We did not have a room cleaned and had to call to ask for towels they have one of us to pick them up at the front desk no coffee refill for the amount of money that we paid. I would’ve expected a little bit better service. I wasn’t even aware of the $75 hold fee that was charged on my account. The location was great because it was right across the street from the venue we were attending, but will I stay again probably not which is unfortunate cause I’m coming back next year. I do want to say the staff was extremely nice and polite, but just felt like customer should’ve been accommodated for not having the breakfast that should’ve been included and I highly think that the rooms need to be cleaned daily.

There was a long line when we arrived, but the front desk was calm, friendly and efficient. The room was nice but there was a spot that looked like dried noodles on the floor behind the bathroom door and two wet bunched up washcloths on the shower floor. Those were my only complaints. The bed was very comfortable and I loved the walk in shower. We had trouble accessing our room with our keycards several times, but, again, the front desk was very kind and even came up to the room to let us in. They had to reprogram the lock. They only billed us for one night instead of the booked two nights because of the keycard issue, which was very unexpected but appreciated. The location is very convenient to the Coliseum and a Purdue Fort Wayne, which dictates the higher price, but still worth it. Would definitely stay again.

Front desk was impossible to reach to address noise issue with other guests for over 4 hours. I couldn’t physically leave the room to go to the front desk in the middle of the night due to being alone with a young child in/out of sleep all night. Horrible smell in the room and hall (sewage) the entire stay. Hot tub was out of order. The restaurant wasn’t open on a Friday evening. The pool area was filthy with chewed gum and used bandaids in several areas. The room had trash present in the corner and a bathroom that didn’t look to be cleaned. The stopper in the bathtub also did not work preventing my young child from taking a bath. It was an overall terrible stay.

There is a hot tub in the advertisement photo. Google says this is the largest hotel hot tub in Fort Wayne. Maybe it is, but it's doesn't really matter when there's NO WATER IN IT and there's a \"Permanently closed\" sign posted by it. No biggie, right? Just jump in the pool.... The ICE COLD pool.
If you JUST need a room with a bed for the night, it's fine. But for our night.... we chose this place because of the advertised pool and hot tub. 1 was out of service, the other was a miserable freezing cold experience. I poured through every word of their description wondering if I just missed the info...nope. No mention.
Also no ice maker on the 5th floor. Bar / restaurant was closed by 7pm. Not open at 11am the next day. The shower was just lukewarm at 9am. Thank God it was hot the night prior so I could thaw out from freezing in the pool. So that means the water heaters couldn't keep up with demand even at 9am on a Tuesday. Can't imagine how bad a busy weekend would be. Then again, the showers are so small that there's barely a flat area to stand before the sides start to curve up. So you really want to rinse and get out asap anyway. There is NOTHING that is high end or relaxing at this Holiday Inn that works. Again, if ALL you need is a room to sleep, I guess it's fine, but I'd save $30-$40 and stay 5 minutes up the road at any of several hotels in FW in the $80 range.

All in all, I've had better experiences at significantly less expensive hotels.

The room was very fresh smelling, bedding clean, parking great right across from the concert I was attending. Free cookies and popcorn I saw were offered but I didn't take any. I would stay here again if I go to another concert.

had to wait in the door way for 20 minutes to check in on a cold 20 degree day to start off. Only one person working the counter (she was very nice) Wife and i traveled two hours anticipating a good meal at the \"steak house\" they said they had...nothing was open untill 6pm (states 4 on web site) basically had to ask them to open the bar/restaurant so we could eat before the concert across the street. Had nothing but a burger and some wings and chicken fingers, no steaks no nothing that was worth a crap just simple fried bar food and receipt was on some scratch paper not even a real receipt(cash only) TV didn't even have a guide to choose from was old school scrolling to find something on. Breakfast did not say included I get that but $12 for probably some terrible pancakes like the terrible food the night before. Only redeeming quality about this place is how close it was that we could walk to the arena for the concert. Wouldn't recommend this place definitely don't have their things together here and falsely advertise a restaurant/bar that is not there.

The room wasn't clean when we got in, and the bedding hadn't been changed. After asking it be done and waiting a while, it still didn't get done. We were fairly exhausted, so we eventually gave up and just put the extra blanket on top of the bed and went to sleep. There were also no towels in the room, and we were unable to get anyone to bring them. My son was in a volleyball tournament and definitely needed a shower, so he just had to use a hand towel. I'm not sure if they were just overwhelmed, unprepared, or had a staff shortage that day, but it was a terrible experience.

I was unable to go to Fort Wayne on friday 1/16 to accept my reservation but showed up at the hotel on saturday to accept my reservation for the 17th but the hotel said that \"Hotels.com\" had cancelled my PAID reservation for the 17th due to a \"no show\" on friday the 16th - I paid $555 for the weekend but Hotels.com cancelled the whole weekend due to my \"no show\" on Friday the 16th - after calling Hotels.com for a refund (at least for the Saturday room) they said NO REFUND due to me not using the Protection - I WILL NOT BE DEALING WITH HOTELS.COM EVER AGAIN & WILL TELL EVERYONE IN OUR VOLLLEYBALL & DANCE COMPANY ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!

The bed was comfortable but the nightstand was in rough shape, as was the carpet (both very worn). The floor lamp in the room didn't work. Overall the lighting in both the bathroom and the bedroom was very poor. The bathroom sink had fine cracks all through it. There was only one towel rack in the bathroom and it was in the shower. There wasn't anywhere to hang a hand towel, robe, etc. The bathroom also did not have any tissues in it. There was an empty holder though. The reviews I read about the carpeting in hallways being puckered is true. I would have been very concerned if my elderly mother had been with me. She fell and broke her hip a year ago under similar circumstances. The staff I encountered was the woman who checked me in and out. She was not rude, but not welcoming either. The two ladies I passed by who were with housekeeping were very pleasant though. They said good morning and have a nice day and seemed genuine. For $160 for 1 night and breakfast not provided, I would have been happier somewhere else.

We paid $445.85 for one night. Out the gate the staff was arrogant at check in. We were attending the Hot Rod Power Tour Event that was across the street. After check in we had pulled our classic car over to the side of the parking lot to make a repair. The receptionist came out and said right out the gate that if we didn't pay for a room that we had to go. She didn't ask if we were ok, or if we needed help. Just straight out the gate, if you haven't paid you got to leave. I own several businesses, and we would never treat someone like that. Luky for us we had a room and made our repair so we could continue to the next venue. That evening everyone was sitting around talking and hanging out. The staff came around and made it very clear that they would call the police if anyone revved their engine. They stood outside as if they wanted to have confrontation.
The next morning there was no breakfast at all. They said the cook had called in sick AGAIN. When we asked if they were offering anything they were very rude about the NO! Staff is very arrogant, rude and disrespectful. completely overpriced. I would not stay at this hotel ever again. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
I hardly ever give bad reviews, but this one deserves one. The building itself is a good average hotel, but I can't stress enough its way overpriced, and the staff is looking to cause you trouble or even jail.
Consider you warned and stay away.

We arrived at the property and the gentleman at check in was good. Got up to the room and it smelled like raw sewage. We were leaving for a bit so we figured when we arrived back it would be gone. Got back to the room and it still smelled, tried to call the front desk and kept getting a busy signal so we went to bed. woke up this morning and tried to connect to WiFi and wouldn’t work kept saying invalid room number, we then we tried to make coffee and there were no cups or reg coffee pods, so we decided to just go out and get coffee. Tried to take a shower and there was no hot water. As we were leaving we stopped at the front desk and explained the issues and lady simply stated “sorry about that” I will not be returning to this property.

We chose this property because of its proximity to the Coliseum for an event we were attending. Beware, it is not walkable, despite how close it is. No sidewalks and heavy traffic on a major thoroughfare. The shower is super narrow for anyone who might be claustrophobic or a little on the heavy side. But otherwise nice property.

Not really that convenient or walkable to Coliseum. They need an over or underpass for traffic. Okay if you walk to the side road, then walk to stop light and wait til you can cross but still going to be moving traffic from sides...

Felt clean,comfortae, well maintained. I actually forgot breakfast. Wish I would e saw it to remind me. :(

do not stay here

Pool and hot tub out of order. no notice. ripped dirty carpet. disgusting p warm coffee dont even bother trying to eat the breakfast food. no milk for cereal even. shakey elevator. tv doesn't work. sign says holiday in but inside says no it's independent owned. pot holes in parking lot. a real dump!

First I would like to say the staff was super nice and the room was clean and nice. We were very surprised at the amount of mold that is in the pool room. Its not a little. Its huge amounts covering the ceiling and walls. It was hard to feel comfortable and enjoy the pool.

Nice hotel just needs to update carpet in the hallways it could trip someone especially with a walker. Pool also had too much chlorine, just standing next to the pool it was burning my eyes. Also we were awaken by the fire alarm that was not actually a fire.

Pool was a waste of time

Hotel and staff were nice, but the pool was basically unusable. There is something wrong with the pool room. Everything was wet, tables, chairs the floor and the ceiling. Not to mention that there was so much chlorine in the pool the air in the room burned everyones eyes. The kids didn't even want to try to swim again the second day, which says a lot.
