Two nights stay in March 1926. Booked the balcony room. The view was good. The room was adequate. However, upon arrival, the refrigerator didn’t work, we had it replaced. We asked for service on the room during our two day stay and all they brought us was towels no sheet change no floor sweep no garbage trash removal from the room. When we requested why service wasn’t done to the room they mentioned they would bring a sheet so we could change our own sheets, but I spoke to the general manager the next day about it. He was incredibly rude and said policy was that they didn’t change sheets unless you request changing of sheets in your room service request, which would mean you would have to call instead of just putting the placard on the door which is described in the text messages you get every day regarding service on your room. We did all that they required and yet they did not change our sheets. They did not take the trash out. There’s so much lint on the exhaust fan cover in the bathroom that had never been cleaned that the steam builds up in the room. I had to pull the cover away from the wall to get any relief from the steam of the shower. Again, they did not change the sheets when we requested service to a room. They said they didn’t change the sheets because we actually have to call to ask for a change because they don’t normally change sheets unless you request. Nonsense the general manager is garbage. I will come back and post a link to our conversation.

Hotel was quiet. Bed was very comfy. We had a balcony that was nice. View was mostly building but you could see the end of the river walk. The hotel is not in a busy area of the riverwalk. If you want to be in the middle of all the action this is not your hotel. Restaurant was ok if you want something close.

Rooms weren’t very clean nor were the hallways. We had to change rooms from original check-in due to several cleanliness issues. That said, the room they moved us to was much better. The whole place could be cleaner and better maintained, but it was sufficient ultimately, and staff were polite and helpful.

Not sure how this hotel has a 8 star reviews. We had a huge cockroach in the room. Our shower was clogged twice and super dirty. Pictures make our room look decent but it is very old and outdated ( as well at the rest of the hotel beside the lobby ). We had a good view but it was ruined by ripped window tint. Overall pretty disappointing, was expecting better from the good reviews and pictures.

This place is so bad I don’t even know where to begin. Tried to check in early, they said they would try their best for 2:30-3:00. Mind you this is a Wednesday. It wasn’t ready til 4:03pm. Fine, I can deal with this if it means they must have great late check out options and thoroughly clean the rooms (NOT THE CASE LOL). They offered between 2 floors so I guess neither room was ready til 4.. We go for higher floor- Smells like someone smoked a pound on the elevator then through the hallways (other guests we spoke with all agreed about the smell, management said they didn’t smell it). Elevators act strange- very unpredictable (SCARYYYY). First room we got smelled so bad we asked to switch. They sprayed some Lysol or other STRONG cheap smelling air freshener, that was really almost worse, throughout the floor. We moved a floor down, it smelled slightly less. Still very unimpressive room. There was a slatted window shade thing that didn’t close all the way from the bathroom directly next to the bed. Speaking of the not private bathroom- the “jetted” tub doesn’t work (they do have a sign stating this in the bathroom). The balconies even in the best rooms (presidential suites) barely show the river. Since the room was ready so late I thought we could get a checkout like 12 or 1 we had to be checked out by 11am or have a $25 charge every half hour. They said they’d discount the stay 10% (LOL) and I’ve yet to receive that. Doubt I will. Just stay elsewhere, trust me.

This was an amazing stay! It was very easy to check in, and the area was extremely walkable with the riverwalk. The only downside was the parking, but we decided to valet and it worked perfectly! Highly recommend.

The hotel lobby is cute and quaint. Once you leave lobby the vibe is very different. The reality of a very dirty hotel becomes evident as you wait by elevator doors which were extremely dirty. The doors to each room were extremely dirty and marked up. Our bathroom was dirty. The furniture has an inch of dust. The ac not working properly. A ceiling tile fell and woke us up as it sounded like a loud crash. Floors extremely dirty.

The staff was really nice. The lobby was cute. The view was terrible. The bathrooms were very dirty. The towels had stains, there was dried shampoo/conditioner caked on the tub. The walls were filthy, paint was peeling and it looked like they painted over dust instead of cleaning.

We stayed in the junior suite. The room was amazing. Very clean and spacious. The balcony overlooked the river and it was fabulous to sit on in the day and night. You can see the riverwalk from the balcony all lit up at night. The valet parking was so convenient. You could come and go as much as you wanted for one fee and they had your car ready within minutes of you asking. We walked everywhere and only needed the car for farther trips. If I return to San Antonio I will definitely stay here again and request the same room. We didn’t swim in the pool because we didn’t have time but it looked nice and clean.

The staff was rude and seem to have no concern, accountability or even try to accommodate the guests. And that could maybe slide or recover but when we got to the jr suites…. The nightmare wasn’t even the half of it the room .. ok but the bathroom was gross, the caulking in the bathroom was rotted out… we didn’t shower let’s just say that. And the service in the restaurant during breakfast was concerning. We attempted breakfast but left . No one would seat us and two or three tables were sitting there with half the parties without food because it was incorrectly ordered or they brought only half out so the other half got to watch? Over all I wish we stayed somewhere else….

BEWARE!! The property is very dated and poorly maintained. The bathtub in both rooms was chipped, rusted, and extremely slow to drain, making it unpleasant to use.

The hotel only offers valet parking through a third-party vendor, charges $59/day, yet takes no responsibility for the service. After check-in, I reported the drainage issue via their text system but never received a response.

I booked two rooms for my party’s wedding nearby and checked out early after the first night due to the condition. I informed the front desk the second room was still occupied; they experienced the same issue.

When my party tried to retrieve their car, the hotel refused to release it since the room was under my name and demanded my ID. I had already checked out the day before, so they had to call me while stuck in the lobby trying to leave, which was difficult and frustrating. The front desk manager was rude, unhelpful, and clearly did not know how to handle the situation.

The general manager was also dismissive, spoke over me, and made no effort to resolve the issue.

Very disappointing experience overall—poor maintenance, lack of responsiveness, and unprofessional service. I will not return. You’re better off spending a little more for a much better experience—there are plenty of other hotels nearby that would likely treat guests far better. Restaurant in the hotel was ok but again fantastic restaurants nearby to enjoy!

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! The pictures online look NOTHING like in person! Originally was supposed to stay 3 nights, the first night was SO NOISY!!! And the room they had us in was in an outside like walkway made of fake cobblestone. Which meant when housekeeping would push their carts it sound like a bunch of loud rattling! We were SO EXHAUSTED from the lack of sleep! We woke up the next morning and checked out EARLY!!! Well before the check out time even! There was even a couple at the desk who were cancelling their reservation bc they came to scope out the place beforehand! We were refunded the very last night’s stay THATS IT! That was insane! We should’ve been refunded for 2 nights since we were gone WELL BEFORE CHECKOUT TIME! Worst place to stay! Definitely a 0/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

Stayed 3 nights and 2 days in a row after being out. We came back to a humid ass room cuz something breaker tripped on the AC. Maintenance guy was nice n polite but the fact that we had the issue more than once shows that repairing issue was not a priority. Called the front desk at least 3x the 2nd time and not even told I was being placed on hold but instead placed directly on hold. A simple, \"hello, can I place you on hold?\" Would have been nice. By the time I made it down stairs to tell them the girl at front desk was like, \"are you here about the AC issue? Im sorry I was on the phone with a customer\" When booking, room appeared larger and could've sworn it said it came with a couch. Hotel/room is very outdated and not maintained very well. Soap dispensers held up in shower by double side tape and towel rack holding on barely and exposing screws. Fridge smelled horrible, (it was clean) but smelled like somebody left lunch meat in there for days. (Simple fix, baking soda box) to absorb the fowl odors.
I hope this actually reaches somebody who will actually read n prioritize the customer.

No cable or dish network, bad TV could not get any local stations. Apple tv sucks.
Built in 1922, no sprinkler system in the building.
No free breakfast, parking was 42 per night. But for the price it was alright.

Absolutly HORRIBLE!!! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Stay at the Drury!! The photos of this property were totally defective. The games in the \"game room\" are worn and not complete. Our room was worn out, dirty and stunk! The bathroom fan didnt work, toiletries were stuck to the wall with double stick tape and in the middle of the night they along with the towel rack in the shower fell off the wall! Beds and pillows are uncomfortable, worst sleep ever! There were also bugs in the room and flying around in the shower. The restaurant was closed for breakfast and the coffee area had nothing in stock but black drip coffee.
When issues were brought to management they offered a $25 credit... we rented a suite!

The only good thing about this place was the vallet service and the walkability.

Elevator was so dirty like walls have never been clean floor dirty and stain. Walking to our room carpet was dirty. Room needed to be cleaned better there was hair in the bathroom dust under tv stand. Room smelled misty Not happy with condition. I will not recommend
