I had my first stay at Hotel Valencia Riverwalk and it definitely won’t be my last! From the moment I walked into the lobby to entering my room, the overall vibe and experience were outstanding.

The front desk staff was incredibly helpful and made the check-in process quick and seamless, which really set the tone for the rest of my stay. Their professionalism and efficiency made everything feel easy and welcoming.

The location is also a huge plus—perfectly situated near the Riverwalk and within walking distance of great tourist attractions and entertainment spots.

I would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again on my next visit to San Antonio!

Vallet team is excellent and made u feel welcome. But i did not feel that from the front desk or from wait staff at the restaurant. Hotel was clean and beautiful. Restaurant food was not impressive and with the options around i suggest to walk down the river walk and eat somewhere else. Hotel is centrally located but there is a abandoned building across the way that needs improvement to make the views from the hotel worth the price. Room was nice, but lacked safety rails in bathroom and ventilation making floors slippery. Bed is fantastic… great sleep.

This was my first and not last trip to this hotel. I was very pleased with the room, restaurant and bar areas. The location is on the Riverwalk, but not in the middle of the loud craziness, which was nice.
The only real unexpected surprise was the $64/night valet parking.
However, ill be back, as the hotel was an excellent value for the quality of the hotel.

Beautiful historical hotel with excellent, friendly staff and classically decorated rooms. The lobby smelled divine. In a quiet portion with view of the Riverwalk. Double beds are a bit tight and bathroom needs updating. Valet $(64/day) and fees are high, including an additional $22 day charged that was not disclosed by Expedia at time of booking. I probably would return with my partner, but perhaps not with the teen kids as the beds were tight.

Overall lovely clean hotel, their signature scent is amazing (welcoming and calming). Some minor things are the rooms have lots of bare walls, some pictures would go a long way to add to the decor. Furnishings appear dated such as the chairs being very worn and the metal headboard with lots of scratches.

The hotel itself was very nice and good location. Very walkable area. Didnt appreciate the \"destination fees\" added to bill when checking out. This forces you to eat at the hotel restaurant or forfeit your money allocated daily for these fees. Also, room was immaculate and cleaned first day/night but not afterwards. We understand staff shortages.

The hotel and the staff are lovely. We were very unhappy with housekeeping. We were on the 10th floor and waited each day until 4 o’clock for our room to be cleaned. This to us was unacceptable. Also, we could tell that the bathroom counters and the large counter in the bedroom area had not been wiped down. And yes, we did tip her on the first day.

The hotel is clean, comfortable, and perfectly situated at both the river walk and reasonable walking distance from the convention center. There is a french bakery across the street, the hotel has decent restaurants, and there are great places to eat and steakhouses nearby. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because the first I was supposed to get there, the hotel was overbooked and I had to spend the night in a very shady motel they booked for me. Otherwise, had a fantastic stay.

The property is beautiful and clean and you can't beat the location - 15 min walk to the conference center, less for the Alamo, easy to the airport. For us, a huge perk was the beautiful terrace that overlooks the Riverwalk - we spent nearly every night relaxing there on the super comfy couches. Rooms were quiet and the beds super comfortable.

Breakfast was amazing. A lot of choices on the menu fruit was always fresh. They even have sourdough bread so was good. The hotel is just so beautiful. You’re right on the Riverwalk. I didn’t miss my margarita, but that was OK. I give you a complementary margarita when you check it. Bartenders are always very polite and professional. Overall, I would recommend definitely five stars.

Very nice hotel, right on the river walk. Breakfast was not included in our room price, but the resort fee they charge can be applied towards breakfast or any other meal. So that covered the breakfast for one of us, which was nice. Staff was friendly and courteous. There was no rmicrowave in the room (we knew it - so no surprise) but it would have been helpful to have a MW in the room. Valet parking with the hotel is very expensive, but there was public parking available within a couple of blocks of the hotel for $9 per night (at Houston Street Garage).

Emerson checked us in, and the King room that she gave us was that of MOTEL status. I booked wanting the River Walk experience, and was not accommodated as such! Nothing chaps my hide worse than attending a vacation being met with horrendous Hotel experience! We were eventually accommodated with another Room, which indicated that tge room was available in the beginning. The floor was dark brown in color, and the white towels being met with floor indicated how dirty the floor was. Although I love the antique feeling of the hotel, I will not book this location again! The service at breakfast was horrible as well, I ordered orange juice and the glass was chipped. I asked for a creamer and had to ask again. I’m disgusted by the treatment here.

I cannot say enough good things about Hotel Valencia. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. The valet team was welcoming and efficient, Roger at the front desk made check-in smooth and enjoyable, and Mohammed in food and beverage provided outstanding service. Room service was excellent—the food was wonderful, and the prices were very reasonable. Our suite was spacious and beautiful, making our stay even more comfortable and enjoyable. Every detail was handled with care, and the entire experience felt warm, professional, and truly first-class. Everything was perfect, and I would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!

The only negative that I saw was that the breakfast staff seemed to be short a person the day that we went. But those that were there, we’re working their hardest to get everything out in a timely manner. Wonderful trip enjoyed it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. From the moment we entered the hotel our family was greeted by their friendly, informative staff that welcomed us with a complimentary margarita. They have a beautiful property on the river walk with just about everything you could want, in walking distance. Dorrego's on site restaurant & bar was outstanding. They also have a separate tequila bar. You could spend the weekend and never leave the hotel. We will be back to stay as soon as possible!

It was a beautiful hotel right off the Riverwalk. The moment we drove up the valet was there to open our doors ready to take your bags and car to park. All most fast then you can gather your things. They didn’t mention that them doing that would be an additional $99 when we checked out. There wasn’t parking anywhere near at all so we assumed this is the only way to park your car. Just something I think would be nice to know before booking here. I’m we stayed one night and enjoyed it over all.

The location was perfect. The Majestic theater was less then a two minute walk away. Plenty of places to eat or grab a drink.

I wanted to share my experience regarding the recent incident.

I arrived at the hotel around 8:30pm after a long day of flights, only to be informed that the property was overbooked and that I would need to transfer to another hotel. I was given no real alternative and had to drive myself to a different property, which was significantly less favorable.

What was particularly disappointing was that no one offered any form of concession or compensation for the inconvenience, despite the situation being entirely outside of my control.

I would appreciate your feedback on this matter, including whether this has been escalated and how you plan to address it.

Every staff member we interacted with was exceptional, they were update the fire alert systems and we had a little difficulty with the temp settings on the thermostat, varying between too hot and too cold, the location of the thermostat by the double doors may be the issue as we had colder than expected or normal temps...

1st time visitors to San Antonio. The hotel is perfectly located to the River Walk & The Alamo, and very walkable. Our biggest complaint is with the room temperature. It was very warm & made sleeping and getting ready in a ventless bathroom quite uncomfortable.
