This place is old and run down. The staff was barely ever present. The food is awful. Parking is outrageously expensive. The plugs didn’t work in the room. The room was dirty and run down. It should be shut down and overhauled.

Your staff was amazing and so friendly! Rudy at the front desk was welcoming and just a great introduction to a fantastic stay at your hotel! Monica, Kelly, and Andre at the Oro kept us entertained Saturday night. They were so friendly and the food was delicious!! Monica at the bar makes the best drinks EVER! The hotel was clean with the best views!
But your staff is DEFINITELY the reason I will be booking another stay! Thank you ask for an amazing birthday weekend!

Came here for my daughter‘s birthday and it was a wonderful day. We got there late in the evening and checked out the next day, but we got to walk and see the Alamo and some of the other surrounding areas. Great time thoroughly enjoyed it would definitely stay again.

The location is the best part of this property and the only reason to stay here for the price. The staff is very friendly but for what they charge, there are much nicer options not too far away. The rooms we were in were in desperate need of an upgrade, as well as the plumbing.

First of all the hotel didn’t have any air-conditioning. Therefore, the air smelled very unpleasant. Secondly, the dishes in the restaurant were dirty. Lastly, the photos on Expedia showed that the two beds were in the same room, but in the actual room, the two beds were in separate rooms and there’s a bathroom in between them. That made it very awkward to move around.

Oddly enough didn’t know this hotel was haunted until some lady told us about it in the elevator. We stayed two nights and on night two after midnight, our room phone began to ring. Upon answering the line, it stayed silent before hanging up.

Staff was very kind. I was a 29th anniversary trip. We even got two free drinks at the bar.
The air conditioner didn’t work the first day and we weee given a fan. We had No hot water in the shower. Day 2 the found out that someone turned off the air conditioner up in the roof. They got the air conditioner to work, but the thermostat did not. still no hot water. We never got any help with the hot water. It was very disappointing based on the type of location that it is. The best thing was the staff was very friendly. We were hoping for a offer to change rooms but to solutions we’re ever offered

Great friendly and knowledgeable staff, Alamo/city view was beautiful, the restaurant/bar was nice, quiet, comfortable, everything was wonderful except that the bathroom tub in our room had something in the drain from last visitors, what looked like a pink ribbon. Overall stay was still excellent, great nights rest.

The only thing worth the money about this hotel is its location.
As expected, it’s an old building but I figured it would be in better shape as a Hilton hotel.
The room we stayed in never cooled down below 75 degrees. The hallways and common areas were cooler than our room. There was a fan in the room, which leads me to believe the property management knows about the cooling issues.
Had I known the room would stay hot, I definitely wouldn’t have booked here. It’s difficult to sleep in a hot room, even with a fan.
Valet should be a convenience, however at this property it was an inconvenience with the one way street causing delays. We waited about 25 mins for our car.
Overall, the stay was okay at best. Definitely will not be a returning guest.

The room was in need of many repairs several things were not working in the suite we stayed in. The heat and a/c the spa tub all needed a main person to fix . No pool but hotels.com did not say it had been drained . The food was ok eggs from a container, ok sausage and bacon , and the fruit was all out of season and most over ripe . So it was not good at all . And one option for yogurt . Kinda weak for 20 something dollars each . The cookies are great thought . You get those when u come in . The view was amazing and the staff were some of the best people I’ve meet in San Antonio and I live here . All in all I expected the full service open the door for you welcome u clean nice working room and all the amenities advertised. That was not what we got at all . I’d go again if they had a lot of repairs done to the rooms. I have plenty of pics of the actual if everything if needed . Don’t book through hotels.com !!!! That’s the facts .found that out the hard way . And the additional fee per person to ensure u get what ur paying for is a total scam . I was told it doesn’t cover that . Good luck guys . Book three Hilton the staff will be able to make it right .

The staff at the front desk was friendly. As was the staff that does maintenance and housekeeping. The Bar on the hand, the bartender was SUPER rude and dismissive. The room was small, but clean. Comfortable shower. The AC was not working, maintenance went in to “fix it” on the first night and it was cooling a bit, but by the early morning it was once again hot. That evening when we returned at about 10pm, we had to call the front desk again about having the AC fixed, they ended up moving us to a different room. Overall, it was an ok experience, nothing exceptional to say about it. The best part was that it was right next to the Alamo.

This hotel is in poor repair. Our room was less than clean. No one has been vacuuming under the curtains because a pill box was found in my moms room and debris in ours. The mirror and light sconces in our bathroom were extremely crooked and there was toilet paper fragments on the wall. Other places in the halls and interior need new coats of paint and hotel ran out of hot water by 11pm.

Was in town to run a marathon and chose the Emily Morgan. So glad i did. Staff was phenomenal. There was an issue and i was given the wrong room but it was quickly fixed. I wish i could remember her name. Said she'd only been there about a week but she was amazing. Room was clean and spacious. Everything i needed was within walking distance. Only complaint is i didnt stay longer. Whenever in San Antonio this is where I'll stay.

The room was absolutely beautiful and the area was in a perfect location. For the price, you couldn’t beat it. The only issues we had were the elevators. They were painfully slow and during our stay a bunch of middle schoolers or high schoolers were there for a marching band competition and it took genuinely 15 minutes to take the elevator down or haul our bags down a fire escape

So we pay 50 to valet park and the next day they bring car to us covered in bird poop. Didn’t say a word to us. We had to clean it all off paint and windshield. So for $50 obviously not worth it!!!!

Valet parking wasn’t the easiest. When I got there, there was only one person working the valet area. We had to wait awhile to even get to the valet person because there was so many people there and no one was helping the guy to get the car info for valet. I didn’t feel safe walking into the hotel, because I was worried about my vehicle. When we needed it the next morning, it was super fast and ready when we walked outside. I wasn’t too impressed with the price of valet. Seemed like it was way too much for my car to be parked outside.

Unfortunately noise from other rooms were very loud in our room. This might not be something that can be addressed due to the age of the hotel, but it was frustrating because noise from the shower in the other rooms were very loud when we were trying to sleep. I’m not sure we would stay here again.

Some suggestion- for the price of parking would be nice to get assistance with bags or at least help with opening heavy front door. AC vent in restroom could use some cleaning. Blow dryer definitely needs cleaning/disinfecting — sticky to touch, grimy.

Overall comfortable stay. For those who appreciate a firm bed this will deliver. Not so good for recently replaced hip. Clean. Friendly staff.

Really loved this hotel. Rudy checked us in & was amazing. It happened to be our anniversary & he gave us the option of a room on a higher floor or bigger room. We chose the bigger room. It was beautiful & charming. We had our pups with us & it was a corner room which was perfect...they sometimes bark when people walk by which is kind of nerve wracking but they were good & loved the room also. Was bummed we only stayed for the night as I would have loved to have taken a bath in that bathtub. We did have issues with our keys the day of checkout. We wanted to see the River Walk prior to leaving, but due to the time change we were locked out a bit early. The front desk had their team up there by the time we got back. So it was very smooth even with the small hiccup.

The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 was the valet. We had a lot of stuff & two dogs. The valet was awesome, but it stressed me out having to valet & get everything on the cart & grab everything & over excited pups, since we had just drove from Houston. Anywho, we tipped the valet later in cash, instead of the app. The next morning when we called the valet it took over 20 minutes to get the car, which is fine but when viewing the app we started as number 4 on the queue & then dropped to 2 but then it reset & showed as if we had picked up the vehicle & there was no way to call for it again or reach out to them. We were checked out at this point he came about 5 min later. All in all lovely stay. Will be back.
