Staff lovely, food and service reasonable, and the fridge and microwave is a great bonus, as are the takeout hot sandwiches at Breakfast, but the room could be a lot cleaner, it's not nice finding lots of dust when looking behind bedside cupboards for sockets to plug chargers into, plus the carpet was filthy

Paid extra for a king size bed and discovered it was two single beds pushed together which was incredibly uncomfortable , the bed had a huge lump in the middle. The heating did not work and was very cold. A small electric heater had been placed in the room before arrival but was incredibly insufficient . Also despite placing a do not disturb sign on the door the cleaners were banging on the door early in the morning and then expressing there outrage that they could not get in and clean. I remained silent throughout the conversation . One was adamant to enter and said “they’ve probably left and left the sign on the door let’s just go in” the other then voiced her frustration and said they would have to ”radio down” . I never realised occupying a room would be such a problem ? I then voiced my concerns to the person on checkout who was incredibly dismissive and implied it was my fault for not reporting the two beds pushed together. As you can appreciate , after showering and getting into bed to discover the beds parting in the middle I did not realise I should have gone to reception to raise concerns in the middle of the night . Overall highly unsatisfactory

Stayed two nights on a trip too visit relatives. Immediately made welcome by receptionist Shell, who also cooked our breakfasts fresh each morning. Room clean and spacious although phone reception poor (we were at the back of the hotel, although WiFi fine). Big brand appearance but family guest house friendliness.

We attended a weddding so instead of driving we booked a room, for the service we got i feel that their prices for a 1 night stay are too steep, at £110 plus £15 for checking in early, when this option of arriving early is a bit extortionate when the rooms are available and shouldnt be charged extra for. Also if you wanted breakfast it would have cost you £14 more as breakfast was not included in the price. The rooms are outdated and the en suite is too small, fridge in the room was empty and the tiny pots of milk were off, due to being in the heat.

Perfect hotel for a 'Handy Stay'

I was at a Brands Hatch for a race meeting for the weekend. I usually travel there and back each day as only an hour away, but due to the M25 closure at J9-J10 I didn't fancy the 2 hours each way after long days, so I decided to stay nearby. This hotel was reasonable price for late notice and 15mins from the circuit, just off the A2, south Gravesend.
I checked in late, about 7:45pm. A very friendly welcome by a smiling and helpful receptionist.
Room was on ground floor. A dated room but was all ok. Small shower room but, again, all ok.
I didn't eat at the hotel, nor breakfast as I had to check out early and I ate at the track, so can't comment on food. I did see a few people enjoying a drink at the lobby bar area when I checked in. There is a kettle and tea & coffee provided in the room although i didn't use that either.
Gravesend is 5-10mins drive, should you want to eat elsewhere. But there is a bistro burger place 100m away. I didn't try that either, though (!).
Usual question - would I stay there again? It's a Yes, for sure.

The staff made my stay! They went the extra mile to meet my dietary needs and were friendly, helpful and kindly towards me when booking in and at meal times.
The room was a good size and the super king was great because I am tall. The bath was a good size and the shower had suitable pressure but was not the best shower but certainly up to the job. Car parking was easy.

Hotel was expensive for a 1 night mid week stay. Room smelled stale, shower water was cold. Food was below average microwaved fayre. Wifi didn't work anywhere in the hotel and there was no phone signal in room / eating area also. Will not be back. Very poor for a best western branded hotel.
Also, a £20 'pre authorisation' is taken on arrival, this has been deducted from my account despite not being used. 2 days later and still has not been creidited back. Have raised a fraud case with my bank to sort. Very dodgy!

However, I felt the location was falsely advertised. It said it was located 2 1/2 miles from the International Cruise Terminal. This was not true. It was across the Thames from that location. It took us 45 minutes to get there at the cost of 55.00 GBP.

This time I done a solo trip as my husband is away and I will definitely do it again. I booked a queen size room and was pleasantly surprised to find I had a nice comfy 4 poster bed complete with fairy lights. The room itself was bigger than I expected and very clean. All staff were very friendly and helpful and I didn’t feel awkward at all being on my own. Will definitely be back.

The neutrals - very dated but true to photos so was what I'd expected when I booked it
The negatives- when I checked in I was told that because of covid no one would be entering my room unless I specifically asked for something. This has been standard for other places I've stayed during the pandemic, so I had no problem with it, but on the third night of my stay my bin had been emptied making it obvious someone had been in the room. This was perhaps a misunderstanding on my part but either way unnerved me. I was also given a code to enter after a specific time in the evening, but it was changed without notifying me. When I attempted to ring the doorbell to have someone manually let me in there were 3 separate bells with no clear labeling and it took several minutes with multiple calls to get someone to let me in. When I did eventually get in my key no longer worked in my door. I was told this was because I'd kept my key in the same handbag where I kept my mobile phone. This has never been a problem for me at other hotels, but could perhaps be the result of dated technology? After that evening I checked out a day early and stayed at a hotel closer to the airport for my last night

Excellent. Room was very clean. Staff incredibly welcoming and friendly. For such few staff the service was second to none. The food was also superb. For a 3 star hotel it was more like stopping at a 4 star. Full continental breakfast available but no full English at the moment BUT the staff would prepare sausage/bacon breakfast rolls on request so no real issue. Was there for Brand Hatch Superbike racing and will definitely stop again next year. Thoroughly recommend and again emphasis how exceptional all of the staff were

Pleasantly surprised that hot and cold food was available and again either within the bar area (all tables only seating 1 person) or could be taken in the room. The first time I stayed here was lovely. Was very happy with service all round. Second time was not great. My reserved room was given to someone else but I was still given the key to this room so I was able to get into someone else's room! I immediately told the reception. I was given another room with a roof view so asked to be moved. Lots of messing around with whether rooms were occupied or available before I finally got a room. It was the attitude of the lady who gave me the key which gave me access to the occupied room that upset me. She had the attitude of 'well I've explained it to you husband so why should I keep explaining?' She was defensive and couldn't seem to understand why I was upset and didn't feel safe as now I knew someone might be able to gain access to my room as I was able to someone else's. Everyone else was lovely, food was fantastic, room was great and clean. The person who ignored my reservation and gave my room to another person should be disciplined as they caused so much hassle and I almost left instead of staying there. As it is, I'm not sure I'll ever return.

Being a little basic compared to the photos this hotel is still a lovely place to stay.

The food in the restaurant for both Dinner and breakfast was lovely and the staff were excellent, however there could have been a little bit more of a variety on the menu.

The hotel room was clean and well layed out apart from a tall desk chair cutting off the bottom left hand view of the TV. The bed was extremely comfortable and nicely sized.

The only fault I would find with the hotel room was no aircon, due to this we had to have the window open, causing us the be woken by the sound of traffic rushing past in the morning.

I have driven past this location many times so chose to stay on this brief occasion as the brand name is so well known.
I was made very welcome by the receptionist and informed that my room had been upgraded. The room was very good with ample additional sundries. The ensuite taps are beginning to show their age but overall this location was very good. Regrettably I had to leave at silly o'clock so I was unable to sample the breakfast. I will most definitely use this location again.

Really pleased with the room we had, felt like a country hotel instead of the sterile feel you normally get. Nice furniture, a proper wardrobe, dressing table and a chest of drawers. Two comfortable tub chairs and small table. The bathroom was large with a big sink vanity unit and a shower over the bath which was very powerful. Would stay again when visiting family.
