It is a one of a kind experience; the views, nature, privacy. Service can be quite slow and the bathtub had a leak so it didn’t work. The in dinning menu is rather ordinary in relation to the overall type of resort. The illumination at the terrace should have the possibility of being dimmed and the only lamp that is there doesn’t work because it doesn’t have a light bulb. The spa services have high prices and there is no possibility to experience a more affordable option.
It was a wonderful and unforgettable trip.

This resort was amazing from booking to check-out. They were super responsive and reach out almost immediately to prepare for our customized experience then stayed in touch prior to and during the stay to ensure expectations were exceeded. Ingo even surprised us with a special bottle of wine and beautiful bed of roses in a heart, which had a special meaning for our trip based on something I shared, that was truly super special and shows how much they listened and care! Luis was a wonderful bellman and there to buggy us around as needed. The in Villa barbecue was outstanding with the Chef making my husband’s favorite dish, David serving and Fidel ensuring we had a creative scrumptious dessert that was even sugar free. Chef Huan is from Thailand and cooks up amazing Thai dishes while Guillermo the Manager and Yuir at Saffron provided outstanding service to ensure a romantic evening. The spa was truly a treat with the Thai ritual and highly recommend. The villas are extremely private and spacious with every consideration for amenities with beautiful views. We loved our heated private pool. The resort and staff went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable experience. Highly recommend this resort as the top place to stay in Acupulco. Totally understand why they were awarded a Michelin Key. We can’t wait to come back!

From the moment we arrived at the lobby, the view was spectacular, and the welcome was very warm. Although we generally enjoyed our stay, several details arose that we would not expect from a hotel of this category.

While the hotel offers stunning views and excellent service, several inconveniences affected the experience, including unfulfilled technical support requests, delayed service for basic amenities, issues with restaurant reservations, and disruptive music choices. Additionally, concerns about safety due to speeding golf carts, ineffective air conditioning, and a failure to arrange a scheduled airport transfer further contributed to dissatisfaction. Though the hotel manager intervened to resolve some issues, these lapses were unexpected for a hotel of this caliber.

Our disappointment stemmed from receiving a villa that did not match the Ocean Front category we had booked and paid for, despite reassurances from reception. The difference between an Ocean Front and an Ocean View villa was clear, and our assigned room only had a partial ocean view. While the hotel manager, Mr. Octavio, made kind efforts to address our dissatisfaction, we would have preferred to receive the correct room from the start. Despite the hotel's stunning views and excellent staff service, these missteps left us with mixed feelings about returning, as such issues should not occur at a hotel of this caliber.

Lo mas destacable fue nuestra cena en Saffron; mi esposa pidió un platillo que no estaba en el menú y se lo prepararon sin problema. El chef salió a saludarnos lo cual es un detalle que se aprecia. Mi único comentario para mejorar es en el room-service; la puntualidad y presentación no estaban a la altura de lo que esperas en un Banyan. Por lo demás la pasamos muy bien.

Amazing! Just reopening after the destruction of the hurricanes and have done a monumental job getting it ready to represent the Banyan Tree name properly. Everything is new from rooms and beds to gym equipment to tables and chairs along with structures. My villa overlooked the Pacific and was private and tranquil. This is a quiet facility at the tip of the point. If you're looking to party, it is probably not the place but if you're looking to relax and reset in tranquility, then this is the one! The food at La Nao had Saffron option in the evening as Saffron is opening in the next week or two - Saffron is one of my all-time favorite menus and this didn't disappoint. I will return to this resort soon. Can't give it enough praise.

I would confirm potential guests want to be secluded. There is nothing not even on property walkable. You call the golf cart \"buggy\" to go to the main pool any restaurant, the lobby, the spa. It just got to be too much. Property is certainly not accessible for anyone with any minor health condition. Taxi or car & driver to go off property as there is nothing around. Maybe for honeymooners I'm not sure.

Atención fue impecable de todo el personal. Cocina fue fenomenal, algo elevado el precio pero vale la pena.Tengo tres sugerencias: 1) actualizar decoración interior de villas/tapiceria muebles etc.
2) Impregnar mas de aroma los espacios y habitaciones (crear un ambiente mas spa) los jabones y habitaciones lea falta mas aroma. 3) Solucionar tema de mosquitos en villas, es imposible relajarte , talvez dejar velas citronella en cada villa o algun sistema electrico mas avanzado

Good Couples Getaway- but bring insect repellent!

We definitely liked the property as it was scenic and peaceful. The service was good overall but needed a pinch of polishing in terms of anticipating guest needs. The draw backs- the mosquitoes were UNBEARABLE you literally had to drench yourself in insect repellent to leave your villa to go anywhere on the property. Also, there was no fun entertainment or bar area near or close to the lobby...we're used to a more fun and vibrant reception when we check in. We staye in the Spa King Villa and weren't able to utlize the spa area in the villa for massge due to covid- they weren't offering in villa service...beware...just book a regular villa. Overall our experience was good but definitely not the quality of other Banyan locations ie the Playa Del Carmen location is waaaaaaay better.

Fantastic location for the sunsets & tranquility. Lovely resort with great restaurants, spa and amenities. In villa dining and overall service was great. However, just a heads up that it is quite a distance (& taxi cost) if you want to leave to go to other restaurants or places. It's a great spot for bird watching but there's other wildlife too such as ants & mosquitoes that are not so welcome! Note that \"ocean view\" can mean you just get a partial view of the ocean...for the money charged that does seem a bit cheeky. But overall, a lovely place to stay.

Everything was awesome at this place.. starting with the staff.. each and every person is so nice and ready to help you with big smile.. location is amazing and beautiful.. the most important part of my stay that made us amazed is their food.. I am vegetarian and most of the places I go I don’t find good food easily but here my husband just told them that we are vegetarian and then they brought their executive chef to meet us and to know what we like. From day one they made every single time special food for us and very delicious food that I never enjoyed anywhere. Their management and front staff is also amazing and so caring.. love everything about this stay.. would definitely recommend to everyone and we will go there again for sure in future..

Beautiful hotel with spectacular views of the Pacific and Cabo Marques Bay. We even spotted whales from our private pool view. The room was in need of a remodel and maintenance (especially the deck and pool area. Great service, staff was friendly and always helpful. The restaurants are operating with minimal distancing restrictions for covid, meaning that we were at times uncomfortably close to other tables/guests. they are only seating outdoors which is a plus. In-villa dining is offered, food is not great and menu is limited. Would stay there again under the current circumstances as it affords the opportunity to self-isolate and have minimal contact while enjoying amazing views.

I have to been to over 25 countries and stayed in the best hotels but this is absolutely the best hotel ever! The private infinity pool, the private villa was so amazing! The service is on Disney and Chick-fil-A level. The people was so nice and respectful. I will definitely make this a once a year trip. You have to come here to believe how gorgeous this hotel is. I didn’t have to leave the villa, it was so much fun at the private location. You have 24/7 security. The food was excellent and at a great price. Me and my wife was here for 7 days and only spent roughly $850 on food and that’s breakfast, lunch, and dinner almost if not everyday. People, if you are reading this PLEASE COME VISIT! You will not be disappointed. Thank you to the workers, they work very hard to please the guest.

Great stay, food should improve

The hotel is very nice, I love the size of the private pools and the fact that you can heat them so they work as hot tubs as well, the ambiance is super romantic and the staff is extremely welcoming and helpful, I would go back in a second.
I only found two downsides:
1. There’s nowhere inside the room to have meals and sometimes you just feel like eating in specially because of the heat and mosquitoes.
2. The quality of the food is Average if not below.

The property is beautiful but in the middle of mosquito territory. They provide bug & mosquito spray in the villa which tells you how bad it is.
Unless you're a pool person or can afford the overpriced spa every day, there's very little to do here. No beach - we knew it but couldn't hang out at our personal private pool without being eaten alive. The pool was hot the first day and cold the rest. It was never cleaned and it didn't have a skimmer so all of the tree debris floated on top of the water.
One of the bathroom sliding doors came off its track on day 2. The hair dryer also overheated to the point the plug almost melted and burnt my skin to touch it. We told the front desk two days in a row but nothing was done about it. They politely smile, said yes and that they would take care of it and then did nothing.
We spoke English, they spoke English but I'm not sure they understood us.
We would not recommend this place to anyone unless you want to sleep for several days in an expensive resort.
The taxi service they used was also 2X expensive as a local service. We didn't find out until we checked out how much it really was and when we asked the driver he wouldn't tell us.
