the place is fantastic from the moment we arrived the staff was very helpfull with information greating very friendly willing to give as much information about the area and around Normandy the city of Caen is perfectly located to Nomandy 30 mnts drive Mnt st Michelle is a little father about 1hour but is easy to get there also many places and other cities close by Bauyex Henfleur Etretat place we recomend visiting from this hotel and the staff are fantastic cant wait to go back many other places to visit in Normandy. we recomend Best Western Plus. parking is on site also publick parking you can par on the street at night but you must move it before 08:30am easy to drive in Normandy we drove from the airport of Paris. Great job guys hope to see you soon

Caen hotel with everything

We arrived late (2330) and were welcomed with a smile, which was so satisfying that we booked a caring establishment.
This was indeed true. Every member of staff met our, and we are sure would meet yours too if you book this hotel.
Location is very good, central for buses, shops, restaurants (some do not open on Sunday or Monday) a supermarket, car parking.
Nothing was too much trouble. If you come to Caen, stay here.

It is June and it is hot and the air conditioning in the hotel rooms was set to not go below 22C or 72F - who can sleep in that heat? THAT IS NOT AIR CONDITIONING! To be frank, this is a room that does not take into account older women who often suffer from overheating post menopause. Absolutely so uncomfortable.

The room is quiet and comfortable and we spent minimal time at the hotel just to rest. However, the staffs from the lobby are wonderful. When I checked in the first night, there were multiple parties waiting in line but only 1 front desk receptionist. Aurelie never let her guest felt left out even there is a line up. Her attentive to the guests really shine through. She made it personal and really wants a good experience for her guests. If I ever come back to stay here, it will be because I know I will be totally taken care of because all their staff are fabulous.

the location is great. The facility was perfect. The desk clerk was terrific, checking us in and helping us locate nearby underground parking. The only thing exceptional about the breakfast was the price. The coffee pot in our room did not work which I thought to be no bid deal. As a courtesy to the hotel I let the morning clerk know what happened. i felt humiliated by her as she asserted that I should have let her know earlier and they would have replaced it. The experience might be attributed to language differences, but I’ll never forget how i was treated. otherwise the place was perfect.

We loved the town of Caen! Very clean, pretty and walkable. Had a fabulous meal at The Cafe Royale. Hotel nice and more than adequate for our one night stay although they seemed hesitant to provide one bath towel for each of us. Do French people normally share bath towels? Desk staff lovely people, very pleasant and helpful!

Wonderful Normandy.

The location of this hotel was excellent being in the center of the city in a pedestrian area. The only problem was not able to park in front of the hotel door.
People at the reception desk were very helpful particularly Aurélie with her helpful information and big smile.
The room was small and at times too crowded for two people.
We won’t hesitate to book there again but choose a larger room.

This hotel, right in the heart of Caen was very well done. Our room was clean, nice, modern and new. The staff was awesome for telling us about the area and helping us figure out where to eat and being right in downtown the recommended restaurants were all home runs and only a couple blocks away. The fortress, abbey and church all nearby walking distance. Each night lot's of folks out and everyone very nice.

Local construction nightmare.

Nice hotel, but local construction expected to last until next year required us to park many streets away, took 1-2 hrs to park and make way back to hotel. Many one way streets. Would not stay here with a car again. Monoprix store across the street.

I liked that there were multiple local parking garages to choose from that were a small block away from the hotel. I also loved the Nespresso machine in the room, as well as the fact that there was a mini fridge. The tv was a nice size and there were other little amenities like a bottle opener, plenty of glassware, body wash in the shower and other little amenities like lotion, q-tips, make-up remover swabs, etc. The bed was extremely comfortable, as were the pillows. i could sleep all day! My room was right next to the elevator but I really wasn't bothered by noise. I was just one person, so I didn't need much space at all, and this room was very small and tight but perfect for me. The comfort of the room didn't make me care about the tight space - but small rooms are not something that bothers me in general - you're only there to sleep (usually). The shower was a nice size and had both the wand and the overhead rainfall shower head options - lovely. I would return to Caen and to this hotel in the future. I really had a nice time!

Nobody informed us that the area was behind re- pedestrianised. Therefore there was. The car park which was advertised and two main points that made our choice was unavailable .
Some one should of informed us on or after booking but they had been paid upfront so could not be bothered.

We came to see the WW II memorial in Caen, and this hotel suited us very well. It was very comfortable, and the hotel staff was outstanding in their help and desire to please. The hotel is located essentially in the middle of town, with lots of places to eat and walk around safely. They did also help us with a driver to go on to Honfleur, as transportation there at this time of year was somewhat difficult.
They're breakfast was excellent. The cost was a bit high, as is true of most breakfast's on our trip, unless they came with the meal, but they offered everything you could possibly have wanted. We decided it was worth the convenience.

We were greeted by Aurelie and she was simply amazing! We had a hard time finding parking for our car and she greeted us in a temporary parking lot and carried both of our bags from a far distance so we could find the best parking lot. We were amazed by her work ethic as our bags were extremely heavy and she carried them a long distance to the hotel lobby even when we told her we can carry them. The European breakfast was fairly good. The location of the hotel is right in the middle of town and that was excellent. Our stay was excellent as Aurelie made sure of it. She was a gem to find for two weary travelers.
