We enjoyed the clean rooms. The staff were great as well. We didn’t have a car and they charge us the car rates. We told the staff and they corrected it when we left. The morning breakfast was too much for what you get. The pool was lousy with two lounge chairs thrown in.

When we arrived at the hotel we had to maneuver around all the homeless and others gathering on the street but not staying at the hotel. Associate for the hotel greeted us at the counter and I requested a room off of Canal Street - wanted a quieter location due to all the noise. Associate gave us a room and said this would suit our needs nicely (limited noise). Upon making our way to our room we passed through hallways that were in deplorable condition (not vacuumed) and a door with a towel on the floor trying to hold back water/rain entering the hallway. Upon entering the room we noticed we were right on Canal Street (we requested a quiet location) on the 2nd floor. The noise was deafening. We immediately returned to the reception counter to request another room. The only other available room was on the 4th floor (same tier). We told the receptionist this will not work and we will not be staying at this hotel. I requested a refund and requested that the manager call me. The manager never called me and the hotel said that I stayed there all three nights (we never stayed one night). We went down to the Ritz (2 blocks down the street on Canal - this was only $100 more per night. I will never stay at this hotel again

I had a wonderful stay at the Crowne Plaza New Orleans French Quarter. The hotel itself was beautiful, and the overall atmosphere made for a great experience.

The staff was especially kind and welcoming. I would like to give a special thank you to Agent William, who did an excellent job during check-in. He made sure we were well informed about the hotel and went above and beyond to ensure a smooth start to our stay.

Although there was a small mishap with another staff member, the management team handled the situation quickly and professionally. Their responsiveness and willingness to resolve the issue made a positive impression.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting New Orleans, and I will definitely be returning in the future.

Our third room was lovely. The new manager Juan was highly accommodating. The first rooms had malfunctioning issues, one being a toilet. To be fair the building is older. But the suite upgrade was appreciated. The bed was firmer and comfortable. They need to upgrade to comforters and not just older blankets. And the towels are stiff and hard. The last room shower and sinks did not drain well either. But the staff were excellent and very kind. Greg from security was fabulous and a good source of knowledge for the city.

Dont let the name \"Crown Plaza\" or IHG property fool you. This was the bottom of the barrel for IHG properties.
What was once a grand hotel is now run down and worn at every turn. The pool was unsafe to use - cloudy and dark - no one went in because it was gross. The ONE computer in the \"business center\" is out of order - has not worked for months according to one employee. And there were hundreds of teens checked in for a college fraternity party. Complete chaos with no security intervention. The carpets were stained - not a little, but alot - throughout the entire hotel. Of the ice machines that worked, they were worn, dirty and some had mold. Housekeeping couldn't make it to our room before 6-7 every night so we just told them to give us towels so we could get ready to go out for the evening. And the icing on the cake were the amounts of people smoking weed at the pool and in their rooms - smell traveled to the elevators.

Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. You'll be glad you did. Yuck!!

Don’t let the name, the fancy façade or the fact that it’s an IHG property sway you to stay here. What was once a grand hotel has fallen into incredible disrepair and lack of quality amenities.

This is a bottom of the barrel IHG property.

We were greeted with the smell of weed in the elevators, stains on carpeting throughout the hallways, and in our room, mold in the shower, mold on the doors leading to the pool, Drapes were half hanging on the curtain rods, letting light in all night long. Ice machines were old and moldy.

There must not be an age restriction to reserve rooms here as over 200+ fraternity and sorority kids stayed in the hotel partying in the hallways and causing chaos till 4–5 in the morning… often confrontational. the front desk didn’t not address.

Housekeeping did not show until five or 6 o’clock at night, making it nearly impossible to get ready to go out for the evening to dinner. Did not sufficiently supply towels and toilet paper— had to request them all weekend long.

The wonderful pool you see was cloudy and unusable our entire stay… And no one cares to look into it.

No business center for guest use, and the one computer that they have set up in the lobby has been broke for months according to concierge and nobody at the desk nor the manager care to address it.

Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.

And when we did finally get into our room after she made us wait the walls of the room was scratched up missing paint the tub wasn’t in the best condition the beds weren’t comfortable.

for the amount of money that we paid the hotel needs a little more tlc our towels was dirty and the room wasn't clean to the professional way. I work for a hotel for more than 28 years so i know how things should be. And the room that i was theres a crack in the window on the left side. The tub of the bathroom was dirty as well. I hope that when i go back things have changed is a shame beacuse is great location and everything is near by.

The hotel was great. Bourbon st. And all the french quarter are right there. We didnt have to drive anywhere, its all within walking distance. They also helped us book trips to the plantations, city tour, and cruise on the Mississippi. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. Could have used another blanket on the bed, but if we had asked im sure they would have given us another blanket. We would definitely stay here again. The room was quiet and enjoyed everything about the trip.

The pool was cloudy which indicates poor sanitation. The tiles around the pool were falling off and there was a deck chair at the bottom of the pool, like a waste ground dump. The room was not clean. Dust everywhere like it was never touched. The floors were not mopped, the lampshades rusted, walls dirty, sideboards stained. The beds were uncomfy. We went to reception to talk to CHARLES and he did not care, as soon as I raised the word \"compalint\" his face changed and he switched off. He just told me to send any compalints to head office so thats what we will do along with our photos. The hotel did not reply to the questions in the app, the hotel did not answer the phone to HOTELS.COM who we booked through. The Hotel does not care about customers.

My airport taxi was unable to park at the curb, and the Porter would not let him wait for me to get my bag. This has caused considerable inconvenience. With the exception of J, the concierge, no one in the hotel was able to provide even a few minutes charge for my phone. The front desk was helpful when I could not find my glasses. The area is incredibly loud, the view poor, but the Bourbon Restaurant is nice. There is a lot of skunkweed smell surrounding the exterior perimeter of the hotel so keep that in mind. I would avoid staying here again and regrettably cannot recommend even though the staff is very friendly and tries to help.

Great location. Just around the corner from Bourbon Street. Within walking distance to everything. Staff were very nice and helpful. Only negative, there were not enough luggage carts and only one bell man. We had to wait a little bit for valet to bring our car back around. If I would have known the parking garage was just a block up, I would have unloaded our luggage at the entrance and left it to be stored, drove it around the block and paid $25 for parking instead of paying valet $55 ( after taxes) to do it for me.

Our stay was absolutely amazing from start to finish! The hotel itself was beautiful, clean, and welcoming, and the entire staff made us feel right at home.

A very special thank you to Mr. Charles at the front desk—he truly went above and beyond for our family. Not only was he kind and professional, but he resolved our issue with our A/C very promptly. Also have to give Mrs. Jay(Concierge Area) a huge Thank you as well she was so patient and helpful with us and we were able to book 2 adventures even though it was time for her to leave.

Everything about our experience exceeded expectations. From the atmosphere to the customer service, this place deserves nothing less than a 10 out of 10.

We will definitely be back and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a wonderful stay!

The staff was very helpful and efficient. We are a family of 6 so two rooms which they could not join together but within close proximity. Traveling road trip style we arrived fairly early and were able to check in and enjoy the city as soon as we arrived. Rooms were clean spacious and comfortable although the elevators were a little tricky to find with no direction at check in. The valet service was useful, one tip call when you are getting ready to check out as it will take time to get your vehicle.

When we got there, the closet doors were off the track and laying inside the closet. I called and requested someone to fix the doors. No one ever came. The toilet seat was very loose and the sink dripped constantly.
Basically, other than those couple things, it was a great day and it is a beautiful hotel

Very disappointing stay. The hotel is in poor condition with dirty carpets and an outdated interior that needs serious renovation. Finding the room was frustrating due to the confusing layout, and the noise at night made it hard to sleep. I would not recommend this place.

The building is old and the rooms are bare bones. The bathtub looked old and had rust in some areas, and the tap was faulty so could not pull it all the way up to take full advantage of the shower. The window as just a small portion of a very long wall so the room was quite dark.

I stayed the first of three nights, then paid a $138 cancellation fee to get out of the next two. The rooms are outdated and basic, if it were the 90’s. The showerhead was disgusting, sprayed water every direction but on me and security got called on me for talking too loud on the phone in my room. It was late, but I was just by myself, talking in my room, and felt like a punished child being up too late. I did have an adjoining room, I’m not sure if that is why the sound barrier was so low. Only entrance/exit is on canal street where I as automatically swarmed by people selling candy bars and trying to “carry” my bag for me.

The lobby was gorgeous so I had high hopes that the rest of the hotel was just as beautiful. I was wrong. The guest floors look like they haven’t been vacuumed in forever. The paint was chipping off the walls and just sitting on floor since they haven’t vacuumed. Then the rooms had spills down the wall that no one bothered to clean up, floors were again disgusting and you couldn’t see out the window because of how greasy it was. I really thought I would get bed bugs but that’s the only thing going for this hotel. We tried the pool, but really just the smoker lounge, and the pool was tiny and falling apart. I will never stay there again.

The “destination fee” immediately made us question this hotel. A portion of your deposit goes toward what is essentially some coupons to experiences, none of which we could use with our child with us (distillery and walking tours). The “free drinks” that were included were very basic beers and wines. The beds are very old, uncomfortable and squeaky. One of them had a couple of gross stains on the box spring. The carpet was threadbare in spots and the thick coats of paint over everything to make it look better was chipping off. The pool had chips of paint floating in it. The ac did not work well and was super loud. The cleaning staff did a nice job each day and we always came back to a clean room. Overall, I would not recommend staying here if you are looking for any sort of comfort.
