Staff were super nice and near local tourist spots but unfortunately, the room was extremely small. There was a lot of noise at night as the rooms were side-by-side and you can hear people talking and opening and closing the doors. Can’t fault the staff as they were really sweet!

I do not recommend this hotel if you’re looking to get any rest! It was impossible to sleep because of all the noise, both from inside and outside on the street. On top of that, the sink was clogged and the bathroom wasn’t clean. Overall, a very disappointing experience. If you want peace and comfort, look somewhere else!

Well located hostel, near the subway and shopping areas including El Rastro (just on Sundays). The place has an elevator, which is great especially if you have heavy luggage. At night you can hear the street noises, but it didn’t bother much. The washroom is small, and the shower too. Also, they do not have room service on the weekends, so be mindful with the towels and or sheets.

So pros and cons of this hostel,

pros: it was clean, and that is huge. The water was hot, the lady who checked us in was lovely and helpful and kind. It was close to many things and walkable.

Cons: it is LOUD. Could not be more clear about this. If you stay here, you should be able to sleep through anything and it stays loud most of the night and early morning. And the wifi is crap. So earplugs and your own data. The room is small, like super duper small but that wasn’t a con for me.

Simple no frills room. Neat and clean with a good-sized bed& comfortable pillows… that’s all you need. Well, could’ve used better soundproofing. It was pretty loud outside. The owner of the building should be ashamed (and taken to task for) for poor maintenance of entry area, but once inside hostel, it was nice. The hotel staff very personable!

Great value

Great for a weekend stay when you plan to be out and about most of the time. Conveniently located in a safe neighbourhood very easy to access all the touristic hubs. Room is clean bathroom is clean beds were decent. Some toiletries provided. All basic essentials were there. Great value for money.

The location is good. Very bad attitude of the staff. The room is not cleaned. Towels are not changed. They asked for some kind of blanket because the air conditioner works well, and the room is small and therefore it is not comfortable to sleep covered with a sheet. We were told that this is not a hotel for you and that in the summer a blanket is not allowed.

The room are lovely and extremely clean. Better than I expected. You have a shower with good pression and warm water. Clean comfortable bed. Next to everything in la Latina.

The hostel can be strictly on possibilities of early checking (not before 5pm) so a bit of more flexibility would have been nice. Nonetheless the staff did everything to accommodate us. Would recommend!

My room appeared brand new. It was very small. A small shower, toilet and sink were actually in my single twin bed room. Towels and soap were provided. There was a French balcony overlooking the street with an open air bar. The neighborhood is very active at night until 2AM. Air conditioning worked well.

This property is literally 10 minutes walking from Plaza Mayor. which is great. Also there are a lot of Coffee shops/places to eat nearby. The room is cozy and large enough. Not so many storage spaces for clothes though. The bathroom is a little small, but you can handle with it.
Nice view from the balcony. The elevator is a big plus.

The check in went nicely, but the room was disappointing. The bathroom wasn't integral (wc was in small room, the shower was separate (the drain was clogged, so the showers were really short), the sink was in the lobby. It was really cold in the room (even if the air conditioning was at the highest, and the windows were shut). We got extra blanket, which helped a little. The wi fi was really weak in our room. Overall I think this place is maybe ok for 1 or 2 nights, but at the winter, for longer, no. I expected more for 60 Euros per night.

Super Hostel in great location

Great location for walking to centre and metros. Friendly and helpful reception. Very clean. Fully lived up to expectations. Small double room with ensuite shower, bit of road noise from bin collection and Saturday night revellers but no more than any other city centre location. Lots of cafes and bars nearby and very good pizza restaurant below. Take your own hair dryer and kettle. Sockets positioned next decent sized mirror.

Bugs in the room!

The hostel is located in a crazy busy area, a narrow st. that is hardly derivable. The staff were very friendly and nice. The room / shower etc. was very small but clean and organized. They give you the key for the main door so you need to use your key to get in a and out of the property. My Main complain is \"bugs\" in the room! I killed several of them including a few on my bed. While I appreciate the warmness of the staff, when I told them, they did not help much! I asked for an insecticide spray and myself sprayed my room!! I am allergic to that smell and had a hard time sleeping the night after! I am not afraid of bugs at all.... but it is a health issue to have them all around the room and even in the bed! I hope they do something about it. that is my reason for giving them a poor review.

I stayed 4 nights, and have to say, the hostel feels definitely more than 2* - I have stayed in 3* hiotels in Spain and they were considerably more problematic.
The staff was absolutely superb and helpful, even the extremely early airport taxi booking on my last morning was impeccably handled.
The hostel is very close to several key underground stations, and even walkable distance to a number of attractions.
The hostel seems recently renovated and decorated, everything felt very new and very cosy internal decoration in the room.
Something else that worth mentioning is how responsive the staff was to emails, even a quick email to state I will arrive earlier due to an earlier landing of my flight was responded to within minutes.
Countless shops, cafes, bars, restaurants in the surrounding streets.
One key aspect that Expedia should emphasise on the page, as the hostel itself was very clear about this in their emails: the payment, as it is currently, is in cash at checkin time.

More of a budget hotel than hostel this cute little place is in a great neighbourhood of Madrid. The rooms are very small but clean and cozy and super comfortable. The staff were lovely and pointed me in the direction of things to do and the best places to eat. There’s lots of food options around the hotel and it’s also very cheap. Would 100% stay here again.

Great location. Short walk from plaza mayor and Sol. La Latina district is lovely. Hotel is clean and the lady on reception was so nice and couldn’t of been more helpful.
The room was clean, bed comfortable and has air con. Only thing that would make this better would be a safe. Although someone would have to break in the street door, the hotel door and then your door to get anything so I wasn’t that worried.

We arrived and they had cancelled our reservation, they should have never cancelled our reservation hotels in Madrid where booked and they did not give us any solution. Check in staff was terrible not empathetic and not helpful. Would never stay there!!

They cancelled my booking and charged me anyway!!

Absolutely appalling treatment by this hostel. They cancelled my booking leaving me stranded in Madrid at midnight and then have charged me the full price for a 5 night stay! They told me to talk to hotels.com who would refund me, apparently it has nothing to do with them either... I can't speak to management apparently, so if they see this review please can you get in touch to discuss this situation.

Tight Space; Too Small for Families

This hostel is located in La Latina and I could not say enough about how perfect this neighborhood is, so much activity and great places to eat nearby. The hostel is located on the 2nd floor of a private building and at first we were taken aback of the initial lobby, but once we got in, we appreciated how modern and updated the room was. Be forewarned that the room is exceptionally small; we had two large suitcases and it was crapped. The room provides ways to stay organized so that was nice. My only criticism would be how we were briefly treated by one of the staff members. We were aware that check out was at 11am and as we were reviewing the room for any last forgotten items with our luggage ready to go, when we get a knock on the door reminding us to check out. It was 11:01am. I felt that it was done in poor taste as I have never had staff do something like that. She apologized saying she thought maybe we were asleep but I doubt that as the walls are extremely thin and everything can be heard from the small hotel lobby and our room was than 20 feet away.

Our room and bathroom were tiny. We were tripping over out suitcases the whole time. Plus the dark decor made it a bit depressing. There are lots of excellent hostels in Madrid that cost less, so I would not stay here again.

If I can use just one word to sum up our experience at “THC Latina Hostel”, it would be “Perfect”!
The most friendly and helpful receptionist/hostess Maria gave us a lovely and great first impression of the hostel.
Everything about the hostel was exceptional. The location is excellent as it gives you quick access to transportation network, main shopping and tourist areas of Madrid which makes it great for both business and tourist stay.
The room was clean, stylish, well equipped and comfortable.
Overall this is a great value for money, friendly and well run hostel in Madrid.
Will stay again and highly recommended!

I would recommend THC Latina Hotel

Nothing negative to say about this place. It is very centrally located. Just a little advice, if you are coming to the hotel via subway and have luggage with you, get off at subway station \"La Latina\" and not \"Puerta de Toledo\" or \"Acacias\" or \"Embajadores\" as you will have to walk up a very long steep hill. Subway Station \"La Latina\" is at the top of the hill, and walking downhill to THC Latina Hotel is much easier than walking uphill. THC Latina Hostel was clean, very nice staff who were informative with all the major tourist sites, it was quite, centrally located to most of the tourist sites, and I would definitely recommend it.

Great for short stay in the centre of Madrid

A great little find in the centre of Madrid that was perfect for a one night stay.
Although the Hostel looks unpretentious from the outside the room was clean and comfortable and was very close to all the main Madrid sights.
The owner was waiting at our arrival and was extremely friendly and helpful.
We would definitely stay at the Latina again

Overall a nice and clean hostel. Staff(especially Maria) was friendly and helpful. Felt quite secure in the hostel. Could leave my valuables in my room without concern.

Room kind of tiny. Soundproofing between rooms and floors is not great. Should consider to fix the problem with the main entrance door key (It took me sometimes a minute to open the door).

Fresh, Very clean, Modern, good staff and service!

Room was very clean and fresh, bright when windows were open and VERY dark (fantastic) when window blinds shut. Shower impeccable including great hot and cold water with lot of flow... Great towels, linen, nice big soft double bed.
Service was consistently high, We were provided with a kettle and several types of tea, cleaning every day and change of linen/towels every 3rd day.

Location is great, very close to the city, but yet quiet (for being Madrid). We had the balcony on the side street so might be a little bit more noisy on the main street.

The cons:
Said Soundproof on the room description which definitely isn't true. You could hear what the staff were saying (normal voice level) in the reception when lying in bed, and vice versa; the whole place could probably hear you, if you were up to some valentine's day special or similar!
This lack of sound proofing however seems to be very common in Madrid, and supposedly the area is very quiet comparing to other central areas. I usually need quietness when sleeping, but managed to sleep very well here. But very light sleepers beware, you will hear people talking in the street as well as the lobby for sure.

Nice and friendly hostel.

Stayed here in September. To use the term hostel could mislead people into thinking they are staying at a youth hostel. For the price the quality of furnishing, beds, bathroom and linens are fantastic. The wardrobe space is small and the room wasn't overly big. However the space was perfect for a short break. The road outside can be noisy some nights but that is hardly the hostels fault, there are outside shutters that can be shut and this helped with noise. Also had very efficient air con.The staff are very friendly and very knowledgeable and helpful with recommendations. The hostel is located between three metro stations. We used the La Latina stop, which is 5 mins walk from hostel, once you get use to where you are going. Major Plaza is 10 min walk. It is located in the old part of Madrid and the area can look a little run down but it feel very safe and we never felt threatened. Would definately recommend.

The hostel is conveniently located between 2 metro stations and Cercania train, one stop from Atocha station. I was very happy with my room, which was very clean and quiet. Maria, who works in the reception was absolutely wonderful - helpful and considerate.

Great budget option in Madrid's Latina district

THC Latina was an easy stay for the last leg of our trip. We had a private double, room 104. It was small, as expected, but was clean and modern with two windows as it was on the corner of the building. Wifi was readily available, but because of the router location we had difficulty connecting. The staff were very helpful and offered us directions and suggestions for the area. The hotel is difficult to find (they just have a small sign in the doorway on the right side), so go by the address and have a google map printed of the area because the two taxis we took were unsure of the exact location but were able to find it without issue once I showed them where it was on the map. Great for a short stay, was tight for two people but the modern clean room and large windows made it just right.

In general, a wonderful stay!

Centrally located, impeccably clean, free WiFi, reliable service in rooms, AC, and friendly staff are among the positives of this hostel. People on the street were loud at night until 5 am or later, and their smoking often wafted up into the room when balcony door was open. Also, there is no telephone in the room. Whenever family called someone had to hand carry the phone down to us, but, often times, when family called as early as 9:30 or 10 pm, staff was already gone for the day (there is no late night staff). One night a late arriving guest rang the buzzer after 12 am for at least 45 minutes until another guest went to let him/her in. However, other than the lack of a phone and no 24 hour staff, the stay was pleasant and we would stay again!

Room was nice and clean and the hotel is in a great central location. Staff were very friendly and helpful - organised a cheap taxi to get us to the airport and helped us by printing our boarding passes. You can get a cheap breakfast, using a voucher from reception, in the bar underneath the hotel.

This hotel is in a great location. Can walk just about everywhere. The staff are most helpful and very kind. The hotel is clean and that is key for me. Wifi was good. Had good connection in the room. The shower pressure was excellent, blow dryer was provided. More than one outlet so that was good. Could charge phone and iPad at same time. Room was small but for price it was fine. One of our favorite places to stay during our entire trip through Spain. Staff (one person) was amazing and went out of their way to accommodate us during our stay. Where else can you find a \"hostel\" with a balcony overlooking the beautiful streets of La Latina/Centro. Lots to do and see around here.

I usually stay in hotels, so I was pleasantly surprised that a very affordable hostel could be so nice. Very clean, nicely designed, private bath, WiFi and AC were appreciated. Friendly, helpful staff. Nice little balcony, although once I opened the double doors, they wouldn't shut properly again. Good location in La Latina, close to everything. Subways nearby. Only negative: a lot of noise in the neighborhood at night....difficult to sleep.

We stayed there 2 nights during a trip to Madrid and it was great. The staff is very accomodating, the rooms are clean and have a very contemporary look, just a bit small (think of a cruise ship room). It worked out pretty good for what we needed

Marie the lady who greeted us was warm and helpfull in giving us advice on where everything was. Clean, comfortable and modern rooms- i would love to stay here again !

Un peu déçu de la chambre sur les photos de reservation une vue sur la rue et là c’est une surprise vue sur un puits arrière pas très alléchant et surtout pas lumineux, le petit fer à repasser pas disponible… c’est important pour des personnes venant en sac à dos mais bon en parralele elle nous a gentiment proposé un sèche cheveux.
Une machine à café serait un plus dans la chambre à minima. Emplacement bien proche de tout et calme.

En general bien, cerca de la estación del metro como a 7 minutos caminando, a 1 estación de Sol y 2 de la gran vía! Ideal para buscar descansar!

La habitación cumple para descansar, el baño pequeño, el hostel se encuentra en muy buena zona, estación de metro La Latina cerca.
No tienen plancha para ropa, es algo que desde mi punto de vista es muy sencillo de tener.

Aunque se ve más moderna que otros lugares ya tiene algunos años y desgastes del uso. Es obtimo mejorar cosas en el baño antiguo, filtraciones, goteo y distribución. El espacio tiene potencial y mejoras importantes para el valor que cobra por noche. O podría ser más económico por lo que ofrece o mejorar las condiciones por el costo actual. Volvería? Si pero a un menor costo o buscaría algo más mejor por el mismo valor.

Il faut savoir vivre à l’espagnole 😁
Je reviendrai certainement et je demanderai une chambre vers l’intérieur pour éviter le bruit.
Excellent rapport qualité prix pour un quartier authentique et cosmopolite.

Vietin täällä kaksi yötä. Hinta-laatusuhde erinomainen. Huone pieni ja kompakti, yhden hengen huone omalla suihkulla ja vessalla. Huone oli hyvin siisti ja puhdas, vaikka rappukäytävässä haisi ikävältä. Hyvin toimiva ilmastointilaite. Sijainti oli iloinen yllätys, mukavaa aluetta.

Me he sentido como en casa gracias a la hospitalidad de las dos personas que me atendieron. Además la cama y almohada muy cómodas, todo impecable y funcional. Me dejaron elegir habitación al llegar enseñándome ambas opciones, y me guardaron el equipaje el ratito que hice el check out hasta que me fui. Para mi es un 10. Ya lo he recomendado y volveré en futuras estancias. Como punto a mayores, destacar que es una de las paralelas al rastro por si queréis visitarlo fácilmente como yo, y en la zona hay restaurantes, bares y cafeterías para todo lo que necesitéis.

Good location, near metro station.

Single room is small but okay for me. Hostal with lift.

Near two metro station line 1 &5 but both of them without lift, do not bring havy luggage with you if you travel buy metro.

If you need hair dryer, borrow it when you check-in. No cup or mug and kettle in the room, bring it with you when travel.
