ME GUSTARÍA SABER DE USTED PRONTO. No deberían poder salirse con la suya.
Primero, el 24 de diciembre, nos dijeron que debíamos mudarnos de la habitación porque habría que hacerle reparaciones. (¿Se imaginan reparaciones el 24 de diciembre?). Esa misma tarde, otras personas se registraron en la misma habitación. Nos dieron otra y nos dijeron que podíamos quedarnos hasta el 26 de diciembre.
El 25 de diciembre, a las 11:30, llamaron a nuestra puerta y nos dijeron que teníamos que desocupar la habitación a las 14:00. ¡Les dijimos que habíamos llegado a un acuerdo con el recepcionista, y luego la cosa se puso fea; nos acusaron de mentir. ¡INCREÍBLE, POCO PROFESIONAL, GROSERO, etc.! Menos mal que pudimos conseguir un vuelo a Ámsterdam. ¡¡¡FUE UNA MALA EXPERIENCIA!!! ¿Por qué mentiríamos? Hay muchos hoteles en Madrid. Si fueran profesionales, esto nunca pasaría.
La única razón por la que nos quedamos más tiempo fue que la aerolínea perdió nuestro equipaje y no queríamos volver sin él. Otra cosa que supimos hoy es que una de nuestras maletas estaba en Madrid, ¿y llamaron al hotel? Ni siquiera nos llamaron. ¿Qué más puedo decir? He viajado por todo el mundo, he visto mucho, pero nunca algo tan malo. Insultante, arrogante y todo lo demás.

Don’t stay here if you value sleep

WiFi was good. Room was good. Good bed, shower, safe and fridge. Plenty of clothes hangers. On the down side there is a charge for the water, which seems a bit stingy.

Breakfast was ok.

Service was not great, no showing you to your room or any of that customer service. One time at breakfast my bread was stuck in the toaster and the tall waiter dismissively pointed at the tongs and rolled his eyes at me. The tongs were metal and putting metal tongs in a toaster is asking for trouble. It was a normal household toaster, not one of the fancy hotel conveyor belt ones. The same thing happened to a woman the next morning. I purposely say the tall waiter, as the shorter one with the earring was a nice man.

The worst part of this hotel is the street noise. My room was a balcony room at the front. Don’t make the same mistake I did (and I paid extra for that type of room!)

Was not able to get to sleep until 4am. Constant shouting outside, a few doors down there was a yapping dog and there’s a big light above the bedroom door that can’t be turned off. I asked to swap rooms after the first night and the receptionist with the bullring in her nose was very dismissive, saying it was exceptional circumstance last night.

I wish I’d played it safe and stayed at one of the big hotel chains. I wouldn’t stay here again for free.

We've spent 1 night at the hotel and appreciated the comfy bed and pillows, and luggage storage option in the lobby.
It was a bit weird the bathroom setup: sink in the main area and shower and toilet only having non-transparent glass walls, but fine for 1 night.

The breakfast was amazing with well balanced options of yogurt, nuts, fruits, freshly made omelette, bread and coffee. The location was the second best part of the hotel. The beds were very comfortable as well and looked to be of premium quality as we had very good sleep! Overall a great stay!

Excellent location. Really nice, small \"boutique\" hotel but some of the \"quirkiness\" of the hotel created a few \"impracticalities\".... Where do I put my wash bag... Are you ok with having a number 2 with your significant other only a frosted glass screen away...
BUT - the good and location would see me stay again!

I really hate to do a negative review because I believe sometimes you happen to catch an employee on a bad day or maybe something was missed on a given day. I do not believe that was the case with this property. We had to go to the sister property next door to get access to the property where we'd made a reservation. That in itself is inconvenient enough after traveling all day but there was no signage advising me of that setup. When we finally got to the room it smelled of sewage. We checked out 15 minutes after we checked in. When I went to check out, the woman working the desk simply checked me out; she didn't ask if there was a problem or anything she could do to fix the situation (although realistically there probably wasn't). That dynamic led me to believe that this is something they're used to having happen which, to me, is not a good sign. If I could say anything positive about the hotel / my experience it would be the property did not make it difficult to receive a refund.

It is very important to know that the restaurant is an open area in the middle of the hotel. You hear it all. Until late at night. Upside: walkable to plaza mayor and other staple monuments and Botin 😀

The location of the property is excellent. You have unlimited drink and food options on the Cava Baja. The rooms are very small and a bit claustrophobic as there is no outside window. You would definitely be sacrificing for the location but again, location is excellent and the staff is friendly.

This is an adorable property right on the Calle Cava Baja, which is full of wine bars and restaurants. The rooms are small but well-appointed and comfortable, and the bathrooms are very modern and luxurious. Just downstairs is an enoteca with traditional tapas and wine. The Posada is an easy 5min walk to Plaza Mayor as well.

Great location - walking distance to san miguel market and most of the city center there. Luckily was able to check in a little bit early which was needed due to my very early flight. I was only there 2 nights but bed was comforatble and staff was nice.

Fabulous hotel .. great location. As it's in Old Madrid, most 'tourist' must see places are within short walking distance, as are several Metro stations and lines.

Staff super friendly and helpful. Balcony rooms overlooking Cava Baja allow you to be in the heart of the local tapas/ restaurant/bar scene.

Absolutely wonderful! The location was perfect, I loved how close it was to major landmarks (Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol), but how authentic and lovely it was at the same time. Spectacular room— excellent value; loved the shampoo, soap, and lotion! Comfortable bed, loved my view of C. Cava Baja, very happy with how responsive the staff was to needs/questions (I had to change my breakfast reservation once and asked them to call a taxi for my departure pickup, but they were so easy to work with and nice!). I love this place. It’s wonderful, the breakfast is lovely too! So glad I got to stay here for my first Madrid trip

Advantages/Disadvantages of Dragom

Staff is very nice, room is not small not big, windows of the room are filmed and not openable, you feel a bit prisoner. Bathroom which is a part of the room doesnt have a privacy even you are in couple. It doesnt have noise or smell isolation which is not ideal. Location is more than perfect. You can stay there in Madrid for its price and its location for a short therm, not very bad.

Our room had a funky design (lots of unique design details and a great shower) with a balcony overlooking the street where we spent our afternoons drinking wine and people watching. LGBT friendly. Good hotel but rooms not practical.

The hotel was convenient and clean and the staff very helpful but the room was not designed practically;
Nowhere to hang a towel while in the shower so you come out soaking and have to walk across the carpet for a towel to dry yourself.
No hot drink facility in the room and as there was often no-one on reception I had to wander the streets looking for a takeaway.
The place to hang clothes is designed for men's clothes and short items. I had to hang my long dresses on a hook separately.

Great location on the Cava Baja and a really charming space, including a good restaurant. The problem was an AC unit that was blowing arctic air onto the bed, which had only a thin sheet with no blankets in the room. It was 107 degrees in Madrid, so we needed AC, but this split unit was ridiculous and it would not adjust, no matter what temp I set it to, and led to a pretty uncomfortable and sleepless first night. I told the woman at the front desk, but she insisted there was nothing wrong with the unit and took pains to explain at some length the rudiments of AC. I asked for a blanket, which you’d think was a simple request and solution, but got a lot of resistance for reasons I didn’t understand. She told me they only had a ¨Nordics¨ and held her hand to indicate it was too thick for the season. I said it didn’t matter if it was thick, but she really didn’t want to give us a blanket. She suggested we just open the window — not an option either for the heat or the noise that would come into a street-facing room on a Friday night in the wonderfully social Cava Baja. Eventually, after quite a lot of back and forth that carried into the evening, she finally agreed to bring the “Nordic,” which was just a regular duvet cover. I didn’t get the whole interaction, which just seemed unnecessary. A four-star hotel should have blankets available — in the room let alone on request. It was a disservice to an otherwise really nice place.

I had a fabulous stay at la posada del dragón. I had been travelling for many hours to get to Madrid and everybody in reception was so friendly and helpful! The hotel is in a traditional corrala and it has an old traditional feel but with all the modern facilities- lift, great shower, big bed... nice views to town and very quiet at night in spite of being really central. I'll definitely come back!

We had the best experience at Posada del Dragon (first time to Spain). We arrived to Madrid Christmas eve and coincidentally, they were serving a pre-fixe menu so we opted to eat at the hotel. The hotel itself is located off Calle Cava Baja which is a strip of restaurants known for their tapas. Super cute location, hostess/staff was awesome, dinner was amazing, room itself was small but very comfortable. I would recommend this place to everyone visiting Madrid!

The property was cramped up and quite small in size than they show in pictures. All the pictures show a room with a huge window but in reality, the rooms have no window and are very claustrophobic.
Privacy is also a major concern. The rooms on the lower floor open right into the restaurants (so crazy!), so its quite noisy with either people talking or servers setting up the table.
The bathrooms are modern but quite narrow and really didn't get hot water.

I did not end up staying at the hotel even though it was pre-paid. The room was on the first level. You had to walk through the restaurant and then the room was in the corner at the back of the restaurant. It seemed like an odd location for a room. The room was dark, noisy, the surfaces were filled with dust and did not appear to be well kept. I decided for comfort it was not worth staying and moved to another hotel.

Love the location in the heart of the Las Latinas neighborhood! So close to the everything and it has a fun vibe! The staff was amazingly kind and helpful, and the food was terrific! Our room was overlooking the street, though, and the bar across the street closed at 2:30 am, and trash pickup was twice in the 5 days we were there at 2:45 am. Sleep was in short supply, even with earplugs. I will definitely stay here again, but I will request a room off the street side!
