This was probably our favorite location ever in Madrid... The apartment is incredibly located within it all and in less than 10 minutes you can be at so many different iconic Madrid spots. The apartment itself was a dream! Definitely made us feel as if it was our home in Madrid as opposed to a place we were just staying in. Would definitely stay there again!

Location on the Calle Mayor across the street from the Plaza Mayor and walking distance to most historic places was very convenient. However, that made it very noisy all night. Just be prepared for that. We thought it was very cute and perfect for us.

Great 3 bedroom apartment in fabulous location, right across from Plaza Mayor. Air conditioner worked great, which was one of the few we encountered that actually cooled the rooms on our trip. Kitchen was sufficiently equipped, and having coffee available was so nice. Apartment common areas were spacious. Would stay here again!

When we got to apartment the guy at front desk said we could get in apartment in 1/2 hour ( we were exhausted from overnight flight)& then we sat in lobby for 2 hours... w/ not even a car in lobby... just tell us it will be 2 o’clock. Then when we checked out another communication problem.. we. Sat and watched the desk clerk set up computer, take in trash cans ..... 1/2 hour later... asked what are we waiting for & he said oh you’re done????Reallly he could have said you are all checked out? Aspasios Madrid - We will definitely stay again

It was a great stay for all 4 of us. The apartment was very clean and spacious. The bathroom and kitchen were tidy and amenities are available. Most important feature of this aprtmentyis it’s prime location. It’s right in the middle of everything a tourist needs to be.

Great location in old town but only 15 mins walk from centre of new town. Plenty of bars and restaurants in immediate area. We stayed 3 times in a month; twice in a studio apartment and once in a larger one bed apartment. The studio is quite OK for a couple but has no real views. The one bedder is spacious and has two balconies overlooking the street. Noise didn't worry us and staff were very friendly and helpful. Only a lift malfunction on the last 2 days caused problems but hopefully this is a rare fault. Would definitely stay here again

Last day staff open the door before time to check out, to clean the room, I stop her !

Then just at 11 am staff come again to tell me that I have to go in that moment !

We were 15 minutes late to the check out, not half hour, not at 1 pm. We leave at 11:15 am.

Location is great but ...

We have 8 people in the 3-bedroom apartment. My niece got bites laying on the sofa bed.
We got 2 sets (one bath wash, shampoo, conditioner, and body milk) when we checked in. Those are tiny 30 ml bottles hardly enough for one person for one night. Yes. We were told we can get more. But by the time we got back sightseeing the first night, front desk was closed. We had a tour and missed the front desk again today. So we have to go out and get toiletries. I think the apartment should leave us a bit more since it is for 8 people for 2 nights.
Moreover, only one remote works, some lights are not working.
The location is great but....

The front desk is only open from 9am till 6pm. A clean towel costs a few euros. No refill for anything (coffee,soap,toilet paper...).

We stayed at Aspasios Calle Mayor for 6 nights and 7 days Sunday - Saturday. We are a family of 4 – two adults and two kids. I had booked here because it looked nice and had good reviews. Well appearance wise it was nice and clean. The kitchen was equipped with 4 plates, cups, glassware, silverware, and kitchen appliances.
The internet (wifi) only worked on Sunday, Friday, and Saturday. Since the reception only is available from 9 am to 6 pm. We had gone on day trips and kept missing them for the first three days. Then I mentioned it to them on Wednesday and nothing it still did not work.
After the second day we also started to notice a horrible sewer smell in the bathroom. The smell was so bad that it was difficult to even go in the bathroom to brush our teeth or to even shower. Again, we didn’t see anyone at the front desk and we were hoping it would go away.
The walls are also paper thin because we kept hearing our neighbor specially between 3-6 am. I am not sure if this is common in Europe but I don’t think so because we stayed at another location and didn’t hear any of our neighbors.
When I finally mentioned it all to the staff Friday night, they offered to pay for our cab ride back to the hotel. We were very appreciative but still very disappointed with the overall stay. I don’t think we would ever stay there again.

Excellent location as it was only steps from all of the historic downtown area. The apartment was well furnished with good amenities, fridge, stove, kettle and espresso maker. It was very suitable for three adults. Our only negative comment was the sewer smell form the bathrooms drains, not unusual I am sure in an older city.

We are glad to have chosen this property. It is roomy, warm (aircon as heater or the usual radiator heating) and bright. Should things don’t work and you need to request for service or purchase anything from the reception, make sure you are there to wait or else the goods or service may not get delivered. A few things didn’t work: the exhaust hood (fortunately we only needed to reheat baby food and cook some eggs but no real cooking), only 1 burner out of 4-burner stove worked, and the TV has no signal. We had requested workorder for the TV since the kids needed the entertainment but nobody came to fix it.

Pros- location, location, location. This place is right near all the hit spots. Everywhere is within a 20 minute walk. The staff was very nice.
Cons- the walls are thin and you can hear the neighbors. It made it hard to sleep some mornings. The smells from the pipes us real and unpleasent. To be fair, much of the city has the smell, old pipes. We read the reviews and brought a scent spray which was helpful.

Good location but smelly lobby and bathrooms

We booked a room with a city view but did not receive that. The lobby smelled bad and so did the bathrooms. The rest of the room was clean. We left the comments at the reception and requested to talk to manager but did not hear back. The location is awesome.

Not that clean. Shower was in a tiny bath and just a dribble. Shower head broken. Skirting board half missing in sitting room. No fire escape not fire or smoke sensors in building and only a wooden staircase in emergency. Felt unsafe. roller blinds dirty and old. Nice apartment but overpriced. No satellite tv.

Clean apartment with everything you need to have a pleasant stay. Arrived in the evening after reception hours, therefore had to auto check in, instructions provided were clear and worked with no issues. Apartment was spacious enough for 3 adults, was clean and had all necessary amenities. If you require cleaning services or a change of towels this comes at an extra cost although you can easily do these things yourself. Great location to explore the city on foot and lots of places to eat and drink in close proximity; because of the location though it can tend to be noisy as it is a busy street. Overall a great stay.

The property itself needs a big upgrade. The walls has a lot of water leaking damage, the bathroom has smells and bathroom garbage can is broken, shower door is not tight enough and leaks water. There are cracks in a lot of places. Only pros is the location is excellent. Walking distance to a lot of places. The famous Botin restaurant is only couple minutes away and across from the apt is a huge open space ground that kids can play at night. I hope they can remodel and I will consider it again next time I come back to Madrid.

Incredible location - you can see the Puerta del Sol plaza from the balcony - and you are just down the street from the Mercado de San Miguel (which is a perfect stop for tapas, drinks or whatever else you may fancy). I highly recommend booking this just for price for location alone.
We were 3 girls - you can easily fit 4. The only thing I recommend is to either bring towels with you or laundry detergent. They have a kitchen area with a washer there where you can wash either clothes or the towels. We found out you have to pay for extra towels once you use the ones in the room. So be prepared for that.

We are a family of 4 from NY who stayed on Aug. 15 -19 , 2018 .The apartment is in the best location. Plaza mayor is just across , 3 min. to Mercado San Miguel, 5 min. to Madrid Cathedral & Palace, 5 min. to Sol Metro, 20 min walk to Gran Via & Prado Museum. It is clean & very nicely updated. Julio in the front desk is very helpful. He gave us wonderful info/tips since this is our first time in Madrid. We will stay there again when visiting Madrid & will tell our friends. We highly recommend Aspasios Calle Mayor !

From the point of registering we were made to feel extremely welcome. The staff are polite, pleasant and very helpful. We were a large group on six apartments which were spacious and very well equipped. The location is ideal for touring the city which so much within walkable distance.

Perfect location to explore Madrid

Staff were fantastic and couldn't do more to help including arranging a fantastic surprise for my sons birthday. They were extremely knowledgeable and made our first visit to Madrid very easy and stress free.

Apartment was wonderful looking out onto Calle Mayor. Was central to the Metro, local sites and some great places to eat.

Will definitely stay there again a recommend to friends.

Great location but needs refurbishment.

The problem of our first night has been documented. Failure to review the room equipment before the guest’s arrival was an omission of the first order. We could not stay another night until the repaired the air conditioners. The second omission was the complete lack of any apology from the management; they simply blamed the Madrid councils decision to upgrade the exterior. That was nothing to do with our problem. The trainee staff at front of office were very good and understanding, offering us a bottle of wine because of our disruption.
We had to move across to room 6B and after a review advised the front desk that the bathroom shower unit was loose, the tap switch between the shower and the bath did not work. There was no safe for valuables. Overall it is clearly in need of an upgrade. However we were able to sleep in peace. We insisted on staying put although we were advised that new guests we due in 2 days. Management eventually agreed we could stay.
I have been in the travel industry for 45 years. It is a service industry. You need to know your property. Have a room checklist (and read it) so that missing sink plugs, broken tiles, poor finishing etc can be regularly dealt with.

the apartment was nice, except it did get a little bit noisy during the night as it was on a busy main road. Everything that i needed was there and ready to use, and i liked how there was a bottle of water, tea bags and cookies supplied. The only thing I suggest is that they have slippers available. The staff were really friendly and explained everything clearly.

Good clean apartment. Staff are very friendly. Just be aware this is an apartment. There is no room service . staff will not change the bed sheets and towels on a daily basis like a hotel. You will need to pay extra for that service.WIFI was spotty. in my room. Had difficulty accessing Internet because WIFI signal would drop. Other than that, it is close to the city center very clean and roomy. For the price it was a good place to stay while in Madrid

Street noise was significant, but this has to be considered part to of the experience since the property is in the heart of the activity. Not to be considered a defect of the the property.

Fantastic location! Steps from Sol Center. Modern, clean apartment. Washing machine (no dryer). No hotel services, such as clean towels or supplied toiletries, however, so be prepared to buy toilet paper at the local market! Best for a longer stay. We were here four nights, and longed for at least minor hotel services. This is definitely a great apartment to rent for awhile, but if you're just a tourist, look for an aparthotel.

Manned apartment in perfect location

This is a manned apartment, very effective with furniture and utensils as you may need. The reception is manned during business hours but there are suitable arrangements for arrival and departure late and early. There is no cleaner. The location. Is perfect just 5 min from Plaza del Sol and 2 min from Plaza Mayor.

Beautiful apartment in great location.

Apartment was beautiful. Modern with great amenities (coffee machine and pods, milk, towels, air conditioning, dishwasher, cleaning kit, shower products, hairdryer etc). Everything was of a high quality and the apartment was spotlessly clean. Beds were very comfortable.

Reception staff were kind and helpful. Check in and out of hours check out was easy. Group of 5 and given 3 sets of keys which was good.

Location is excellent. Just across the road from Plaza Mayor and close to shopping and nightlife.

Would definitely stay again.
