The place is in the heart of the city. The SOL station is around the corner. Area full of shops, bars, restaurants and night life. Staff was very pleasant. I got the single room with pvt bath, hot water all the time. The price was good, compared to any place in the area. Can't complain.

Worst experience yet

Worst place to stay at in Madrid. No amenities at all. Run down room with poor furtinure and awful small and uncomfortable bathroom. But the worst part was having the room full of bedbugs. Avoid at all cost.

Disappointing

This property is not as good as it looks. Their profile on Hotels.com shows big well-lit rooms, and comfortable beds. However, I was given a room in the corner of the building, around 5 m² with no window, at all. Picture that! And when I asked for a different room, I was told that they were fully booked. I would not go back there, certainly not for the conditions and the nightly rate.

The Hostel is in very poor condition. The balconies doors do not close. There is a 1 inch gap. You can hear the noise from outside and the cold air coming in. On a rainy cold day there was no heating. The towels old and overused. We are frequent travelers around the world and we never saw towels like this ones. We stayed three days and one of the three days the staff did not clean the room at all. The bathroom is tiny, in bad condition with mold, cracks in the tiles, no lamp just a lightbulb, feels like adapted by non professional Plumbers. Feels like the people running this hostel only think how to get money from customers but do not maintain the premises in a good livable condition. We do NOT recommend this place to anybody.

Awesome location! Right steps from Puerta del Sol. The place is a little old so we had a few issues with the Air Conditioning and such but the staff made sure that they were available 24/7 and took care of our requests. I would definitely stay there again!

Good location although a bit scary at night. I booked a single room and it was tiny. Had trouble opening and closing the door if I was in the room with my bag. Room was internal so got very hot, but a small fan was provided which made it bearable. However the staff were very nice and extremely helpful with information & luggage storage.

Our stay at this location was great. Our room had a bathroom, very clean great water pressure and temperature, it is worth paying extra for your own bathroom if that is what you desire. There was always staff around, cleaning or greeting very welcoming and open to all tourists questions and request. The Hotel was 2 blocks away from the metro and a very busy plaza with great food, restaurants and shops. Location is great to walk to various squares/plazas.

I did not really enjoy the stay. The room is ridiculously small, dirty and dusty. Very limited space for me to place my luggage. The toilet is super small too. I could hardly turn around. The hostel is pretty hard to find. It is hidden in a building and there is this super small elevator that only can fit 2 people at max. Besides, the address did not state which floor it was on, so I had to go to every floor to actually look for this hostel. The only thing good about the place is that the location is awesome. Nearby it is surrounded by lots of shops and restaurants.

I've stayed here before; it's in an excellent position, close to Sol and the Plaza Mayor. The staff are very friendly, and the rooms are comfortable; however, my single room was really tiny, with very little space to put my (small amount of) luggage. Not a major problem as I was only there for one night (at last visit I shared a twin room with a friend, which was much more spacious).Shared shower was clean. Very good price!

Quick stopover

The front desk person was great. We had asked for a late check-in because our flight wasn't scheduled to come in until 11pm. The flight ended up being delayed 2 hours, and we didn't get to the hotel until after 1am. The poor guy had to stay late to let us in, but was very friendly and helpful. We were only in Madrid for an overnight stopover, so we didn't have time to make use of anything about the hotel.

Great location by Plaza Mayor. V small room.

I needed a room for 1 night before flight home and this was one of the cheapest for that November weekend. Not that cheap though. Hard to find as the council won't allow any more signs. Next door to Plaza Mayor so great location. Staff seemed friendly. My single room was tiny: under 6 feet wide and about 8 &1/2 feet long; hard to open my case on the floor. Shared bathroom was supposed to be for just my room and 1 other but other rooms seemed to use it too; not great at 7.30am when I'm trying to get ready to leave for the airport. It was small but clean and the shower was hot; plenty of free soap-gel and shampoo provided in sachets in the room. Clean sheets/pillowcase; some sweets and clean towels provided. Room was warm enough though heating seemed off; slight odour in room. Flat panel TV worked ok. Electric cables loosely tacked onto walls so could do with improvement there. Some internal noises earlier in the afternoon including a caged bird somewhere but not when I got back after my night out. No sounds from the busy street heard in my room which in Madrid is quite unusual:) A small lift worked ok and saved lugging self and bag up three floors. I've said I'd recommend it to friends but if I'd not booked so late I may have found a bigger/better room elsewhere in the centre for a similar price. I've no serious complaints though.

Fabulous location central city area.

Great location but a little hard to pick from the street. Glad our taxi knew the address. This hostel is on the 3rd floor with other hostels on 2nd and 4th floors. The rooms are VERY tiny but clean and the bed is comfortable. We had an interior room so no view but for central city it was very quiet. I guess the compromise is view vs street noise. The staff were all lovely and helpful. If you're not after fancy accom this is fabulous value.

I paid 20 euros for the smallest room in the property and got more or less what I was expecting. The room was small single with little room for luggage, but comfortable and clean with all basic facilities needed.
The single member of staff that greeted me was extremely friendly and helpful.
The property is ideally located very close to Sol metro station so super central.
Not a place to chill for long, but good if you only need a place to sleep and have a shower.
I recommend it

Location of the hotel was excellent, very close to the Mercado de San Miguel for amazing food. Staff was super kind and helpful, super nice people. However we had 3 problems: shower was surprisingly small (I'm not really big and I kept banging my elbows on the doors), we had a leak that was pouring out all the water from the shower onto the floor and it took two days to get fixed. Still, just for the attention and the location I would consider it to visit once again but would try a room with a bigger shower and no leak :-P

This was a great hostel to stay in. The staff was very friendly, especially Oscar, he was great. The room was very clean and when we checked in there was a towel duck and candy on the bed, so cute! The hostel was very clean overall and they provided toiletries. We had a private bathroom but I used the shared bathroom once and it was also very clean. The room had AC, which was nice because it's very hot there. The location is great, right next to Plaza del Sol. I would definitely stay here again.

Great little hotel close to everything and had everything we needed. The front desk staff was amazingly helpful and made sure my delayed luggage got to me safe and sound in the middle of the night. Street noise can be a bit loud, but that's Madrid- pack earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

Excellent value for the money. Friendly staff, though not all of them speak English (I speak Spanish, but I know that not everyone does). Two flights of stairs up and no elevator, which is the only downside as far as I'm concerned. The room was so cute with a little tiny chandelier and a little balcony. Plus, someone had folded my towel and washcloths into a little oragami elephant, with little candies for eyes. It was so nice. I only stayed one night but was sorry to leave. If I go back to Madrid I think I'd happily stay there again.

Location, location, location! In the middle of everything, simple spartan room, very clean, noisy if you have a street room, so if you can choose go with the internal one, Madrid is a very loud city!

As the hotel is located on the third floor, it would have helped if there was a lift. The staircase is quite slippery. The bedroom and bathroom were smaller than what was shown in the advert. Although the staff was amicable, the fact that they do not speak english well makes it difficult to communicate.

The hotel is well situated in the centre, 2 minute walk to the Puerta De Sol metro station & Plaza Mayor. The staffs were pleasing and very helpful. There are lots of restaurants in close vicinity. This hotel is suitable if you are on a restricted budgeted trip.

The people that ran the hostel were very nice. Our room was not fancy but it did what we needed it to. We were close to everything and were very pleased with our room. This was only my second time staying at a hostel so I was surprised when there was not a common room or a kitchen to make coffee. All in all my daughter and I had a wonderful time.

Above and Beyond Service with a perfect location

This was a wonderful stay with memorable service. This is a very small hotel with around 20 rooms and has the feel of a family run place. It is reasonably priced but very clean, great beds and amazing service. The location was ideal for spending a day or two in Madrid. We were able to walk easily to Plaza Mayor and Sol. Highly recommended.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The staff were approachable and straightforward to deal with, although as they don't speak English it is good to know some basic Spanish. The hotel was in a lovely old building with a marble and mosaic-decorated entrance hall, and my room had a mini-balcony from which I could see the winding streets below. The room itself was just right for one person staying a few nights. Perhaps the best aspect of this hotel is the location, which is only about 2 minutes' walk from the Plaza Mayor, and an easy stroll from fantastic tapas bars and restaurants. In fact you could get anywhere in about 10 minutes' walking time, e.g. the Palacio Real, or the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza. Because of the central location it was a bit noisy at night, so it's a good idea to take earplugs! I shared the bathroom with other guests but had no problem with access - and the shower was excellent!!!

Hostel was in great location. Hop on/off bus tour was only a block away. Street was a little noisy but not bad at all. Took a while to figure out english tv stations for night time/no biggie. Staff didn’t speak much english at all. Got stuff figured out though. Great value for the money. I had a room with bath so didn’t have to share facilities. Good place. Would stay again.

Desde un principio la atención fue estupenda , las recepcionistas resolvieron de una forma muy profesional un inconveniente que tuve yo mismo al momento de elegir la habitación ,fue mi culpa. La habitación estaba en perfecto estado de limpieza, el colchón muy cómodo y el baño impecable. Lo recomiendo 100 × 100. La calidad que hay con relación al precio, la supera por lejos y sobre todo muy conveniente, a dos pasos de puerta del Sol todos los trenes, plaza Mayor y muchos puntos de interés

La habitación era pequeñísima, aunque tenía ventana (muy pequeña) daba a un patio interior diminuto y sin luz. Las puertas son de papel y se oía todo. Las paredes de la habitación sucias. Y como pude comprobar cuando dejé la habitación (2 noches antes de lo previsto) había prostitución en el mismo, es normal que exista pero no lo esperaba.

No es lo que esperaba

Al buscar alojamiento con tan poco margen de tiempo encontré solamente este hostal por un precio razonable. Al llegar al alojamiento la habitación no se parecía (ni de lejos) a las fotografías: habitación enanísima, baño hiper compacto teniendo que sentarse de lado en la taza, una ducha que ni me acerqué, la ventana no cerraba (por lo que hacía un frío tremendo) y las paredes de papel. Para una noche es pasable pero desde luego no creo que vuelva.

Eso sí, los empleados encantadores.

建物の看板は、見上げると見つける事ができるが、夜の到着だったので判らなかった。
又、判らなかったが、奥にエレベーターがあった。
設備が古く、部屋に入ると、少し臭いが気になった。

2泊したが、リネン類の交換は無し。
安いので、タオル等が有るだけ良し。

Me decepcionó, muy distinto a las fotos. Habitación muy pequeña, instalaciones muy antiguas y descuidadas, plato de ducha súper pequeño, con moho. Habitación sin luz, ya que ya daba a un ojo patio muy oscuro. En cuanto al ruido, se escucha todo. No lo recomiendo para nada, muy caro para lo que es. Lo único bueno, la ubicación.

La ubicación es buena, es un hostal antiguo y la habitación es pequeña aunque lo peores el baño, en la ducha ni puede ni enjabonarte, y lavarte en el lavabo es casi imposible. No quedaba espacio ni para colocar las maletas abiertas. Calidad/precio, excesivo.

Ostello in pessime condizioni.. camera minuscola con un'unica finestra che affaccia su un vano chiuso quindi priva di aria e di luce. Bagno minuscolo con una doccia che si entrava a malapena, ventilazione forzata del bagno rotta quindi tutti gli odori finivano in camera da letto. L'unica nota positiva é la posizione in porta del sol. Mai piú!!!!

Die Lage ist optimal- paar Minuten von der Plaza de Sol entfernt. Das Zimmerchen war sehr sehr klein, zwar die Dusche auch dabei, aber Fenster nur zur inneren Schacht. Morgens sehr hellhörig. Für eine Nacht war OK, für längere Aufenthalt nicht zu empfehlen.

Lo mejor es que está en una situación muy céntrica, cerca de todo. Lo peor es que la habitación estaba en el pasillo principal, cerca de la puerta y la recepción, por lo que se escucha todo lo que ocurre fuera de la habitación.
