We were pleasantly surprised with the bar and it's musical performances with skilled musicians, piano players and singers, very enjoyable. Wanted to single out Aaron of guest relations who was very helpful and made us feel at home. We'll be back!

We were given a small handicap-accessible room (limited furniture, low sink and toilet, handicapped bars around toilet, no shower door, seat in shower, etc.). Requested to move to a regular room, was told there was nothing available until the next day. The next day they would not move to another room without paying additional fee. Had to pay $25 per night for another room. Otherwise the hotel was fine, not really a 5 star, maybe 4 star by US standards. Nice piano bar.

Our stay was overall average. We arrived before the official check-in time, and the staff kindly accommodated us a bit earlier, which we appreciated. The room was decent but nothing exceptional, and the breakfast buffet was of average quality.

One disappointing experience was with a discount offer of up to 20% off. The front desk told us it should be applied at the restaurant, while the restaurant staff sent us back to the front desk. In the end, the discount was never honored, which left a negative impression.

Overall, the stay was fine, but the service communication and follow-through could definitely be improved.

We arrived early and Madrid and checked our bags before exploring the city. On our reservation request, we asked for a king size bed. By the time we came back and checked into our room, the hotel was fully booked, and we had been put in a room with a single bed. The hotel staff Shuffled the things around and moved us to a room with a double bed, but the bed was placed in such a way that there was less than a foot from the end of the bed and the wall, making it extremely difficult to move around the bed in the evening.

We were rather than drink tickets upon arrival and decided to take advantage of the lovely rooftop bar that evening and when we went to check out, we were told that we could not use those shrink tickets for the drinks that have been ordered

Overall, we felt disappointed in the hotel. I needed to speak to several people before we were able to get some of these issues resolved, and it felt like that should not have been the case for the caliber of hotel. Eventually, they did offer us breakfast in the morning, which was lovely and much appreciated, but I don’t know if I’d stay in this hotel again.

The place has a great vibe! Staff were super helpful, even checked us in early. The rooms could be a little bigger, no desks and not a lot of space for luggage but are great looking. Beds were comfortable. Location is perfect, close to shopping, restaurants and lots to do and see.
Having the theater next door was a huge plus. We saw cabaret and it was fantastic!

The hotel location was really good. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

I had to move to a different room because my room had a constant noise coming from the AC outside and they kindly offered to move me.

I will say that while the first room was clean, I didn't really like the setup. The bed was right next to the door and made the room look tiny small which I didn't really appreciate since I paid premium money for the room. The second day, the second room I moved to was quiet and was more comfortable.

I will likely stay again.

Perfect hotel choice

Our trip to Madrid in mid September was extra amazing because we chose the right hotel with Umusic. The location was perfect. We were able to easily walk to most landmarks. Staff was friendly and room was immaculate. Plenty of shopping and restaurants right out the door of the hotel. Love the boutique feel of this hotel. The rooftop and pool were a plus. Just wish we had more time to enjoy those features. We’d definitely book here again next trip.

The best location and the best hotel in such a special city. The whole hotel is a work of art from the staff to the structure to the rooms. Very new and very clean rooms and common areas. The rooftop bar has some of the best views in the whole city. The restaurant as well is worth it. The artistic and music finishes truly make this hotel the best there is. I cannot say enough good things about this place. We will 100% be returning!

L’hôtel bénéficie d’une localisation parfaite et les chambres sont très propres et confortables. Mention spéciale aux boss boy, au personnel de sécurité, ainsi que la préposée au bar de la piscine particulièrement sympathiques et chaleureux.

En revanche, plusieurs aspects sont décevants pour un établissement de ce niveau et au tarif demandé. Le service à la réception a été froid et peu attentionné. L’espace piscine, déjà moins séduisant que sur les photos, souffre en plus d’une absence totale d’ambiance (aucune musique, étonnant pour un hôtel « Umusic » adossé à un théâtre) et du fait qu’il soit permis de fumer partout, ce qui rend l’expérience désagréable pour les non-fumeurs.

L’insonorisation des chambres est également insuffisante : on entend les voisins (voix, ronflements), bien plus que les bruits de la rue. Des bouchons d’oreilles ont été nécessaires. Enfin, le rapport qualité-prix est décevant : le prix payé dépasse largement la valeur réelle de l’expérience.

En résumé, un hôtel qui pourrait avoir beaucoup de potentiel, mais qui déçoit par son manque d’attention aux détails d’un 5 étoiles, son service impersonnel et une ambiance très éloignée de ce que son nom laisse espérer.

The hotel is modern and is centrally located in the city. Views from the rooftop were nice and it was great to have an outdoor pool and terrace (outside our room).

Most of my critical comments relate to value for the money. This is a five star hotel and for the high cost per night (relative to other options) we thought they should have provided more amenities like free breakfast (which cost $25 per person per day) and more space. The bathroom was very small and there was no real location to sit other than the terrace outside. Little things like one sink, very small trash can and coffee in room not refilled were also unexpected for this type of hotel. There were a couple of minor cleanliness issues that should be addressed but overall it was clean.

A good stay but may not be worth the money unless location and terrace are key.

We are just wrapping our 4-night stay at the Umusic Madrid and I cannot speak highly enough about our experience. I went back and forth through hundreds of reviews when trying to pick a place for my 6 year-old and I to stay and I am so happy we decided on Umusic. The hotel is located right in the heart of the city in Sol which made it so easy to get to all of the sights and beyond (by walking or public trans). Upon check-in, we were greeted with a Cava and cold water, which was a wonderful touch. We had a deluxe guest room which was perfect for our party of 2. The hotel and room was just as pictured, super clean and modern. They have a lovely pool area which was the perfect place to relax after touring during the heat wave. The rooftop bar was a great place to have an evening drink under the sunset. We opted for the included breakfast which was fantastic! Lots of options with both buffet and made to order dishes. This also included cava, cappuccino/espresso bar and Bloody Mary station. All of the staff were amazing! They were warm, welcoming, and attentive. Overall, this was such a wonderful property and we would definitely stay again!

I booked this hotel after our arrival to Madrid and the main reason was the review I read here. I noticed a consensus with how great services is at this hotel. Those reviews were right. The service staff at this hotel is spectacular. The security folks, receptionists, pool lifeguard, rooftop bartenders. Awesome! I also read that reviews stating that they should play music at the rooftop and I agree with that as well. I will return to this hotel.

We booked two rooms for 4 people and they were great. Very clean with good adequate wardrobe space. The staff would come by regularly to clean and replace water( access to free drinking water is a plus in Europe!)

The roof top bar service was great - we walked in once just before closing and the bar tender made us quick drinks and allowed us to enjoy the views for an extra 15 mins after closing.

Conveniently located in central Madrid to lots of attractions - Royal Palace, Prado Museum, Mercado de San Miguel were all a 10 to 20 mins walk.
The Sol Metro Station is just down the street from the rear entrance you prefer that.

We didn’t eat at the onsite restaurant, but they have it and room service if needed.

Overall a great experience. We would stay here again if we visited Madrid again.

UMusic Hotel is in an excellent location with amazing service. However, the room design offered very little privacy between the bedroom and bathroom. Only a two-way mirror divides the two spaces, with frosted glass shower and toilet partitions. It's an ok space for a couple but would not be appropriate for others traveling together who want some modesty.

Location is especially great for tourists. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The hotel and amenities are lovely and the hotel design is great except for one place - the actual room. The hotel room has been designed to look good but is far from practical for travellers if there is more than one person in the room or if you have a large suitcase. There is not a separate bathroom (to use at night, the room lights also turn on, there is a large tub at the entrance so not at all private, there is a vanity with a tap that is too high and splashes water everywhere and little vanity space for guests. The shower has great water pressure but it’s small and hard to have conditioner stay on your hair, or try to shave in there. There are limited spaces to put things and the “mini bar” takes up half the desk space.
