The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was beautiful, and in very easy walking distance to a number of interesting places. The WiFi signal wasn’t very good, so we had issues with internet connection, but overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again in the future.

I have been a guest at Suits Your Zinc for the past four years, visiting the property at least once a year. My family and I have viewed all the available rooms, and over time, we have noticed a marked decline in room quality. The lack of kitchen items we've found in the past and, especially, the poor quality of the beds is noticeable. The room appears clean, but if you look under the bed (for anything that might have fallen), you can see that the cleaning is superficial. The towels seem to be the same ones we used on our first visit—very poor quality and clearly indicating excessive and indiscriminate use.
On the other hand, some street noise is to be expected, but being woken up by the noise of each guest returning at different times in the early morning is completely unacceptable. The doors, bathrooms, showers... they weren't always like this. Well, we were previously on the upper floors, so it's understandable that the lower the room, the more noise you hear from the building itself. The staff must be very good with technology, but in terms of presence and service, this is a hotel/hostel where you're on your own, and considering the cost per night, anyone would expect a bit more. Closing a chapter...best of luck.
Note: instead of replying, put the energy on improving, is a great location but...

Everything went well, and the communication with the staff was quick and effective. We just had 2 issues, the only sofa was really uncomfortable, and the washer machine didn’t work. We talked to the staff about the sofa and was nothing that could be done, and we didn’t call for the washer machine because it was during the weekend and we didn’t have time for it.

We booked a 2 bedroom apartment for 6 people. The apartment was very tired. The curtains were stained. The flooring dirty and damaged in places. The air conditioning did not work. This was reported but never fixed during our stay. The apartment was advertised as having free toiletries. There was only a dispenser in the shower which was broken.
Our check-in was delayed by over an hour due to a cleaning incident.
The apartment location is perfect. Right in the heart of Madrid, very close to Puerto del Sol. Shops, restaurants and bars all close by.
Check-in and luggage store is away from the property but not a massive issue. Was good to be able to leave luggage before late departure.
All keys are digital so ensure all party members upload the app prior to arrival. There is a lift which visits floors 1,2 and 5. It is very small.
This is definitely a budget stay apartment in an old building so please consider this when booking.

It’s an excellent option if you’re visiting Madrid! The hotel is really well located in the center, 2-3 minute walk from Puerta del Sol and the metro station, it is a very busy area and yet there’s no noise inside the rooms. Staff is super kind and helpful! I would stay here again.

The location was the best. We felt safe all the time. We were near al the attractions. The nighttime was quiet.
The air conditioner was very bad, we called to have a Fan, and they didn't provide it. It was very hot 1 small a/c in the room and apartment was very hot.

It was a family vacation. The area is perfect the only this that was really bad was the a/c. For summertime with hot temperature the a/c are too small for the area, and it won't be cold at all. The place was clean and had a kitchenette where we could have made breakfast and dinner. It's walking distance to most attractions and metro station. Our only issue was the aircondition wasn't working and it was so hot at nights and the shower was so tiny, that we had to squeeze to get into the shower doors.

Very central location, we stayed two nights and hope we can stay longer. Most of the sightseeing are within 10 minutes walk, lot of cafes and restaurants, facing to a very busy street but quite after you close the window and door. Noticed that some previous customers having hot water issue, but not at all for my stay in apartment #31. Staff in the nearby office were very helpful and kind.

Great location, the apartment is in the middle of the main tourist area but you could not hear any noise when the window was closed. My only complaint is that both bed mattresses are old and sink in too far when sleeping causing back and hip pain for both my husband and I and we are only young, they really need to be replaced.

The suites are spacious and in a great location with great security to get in. The rooms can use better storage for luggage and clothes. The only BIG negative. The walls are THIN you will your neighbors, you will hear every. Little. Motion, moan and thump.
So if you take kids keep them
Out of the room with an adjacent wall.

The surrounding area was great at this place. Everything was nearby and convenient.
However, the place itself was outdated. The water heater needed a value replacement and we did not have hot water for hours. I reached out to receptionist and we were not provided with an update until I reached back out once a few hours had passed by. Room was clean, but the entrance and other floors appear to be hostels and there was a slight confusion. It was a good place to just sleep and get ready for the day.

Disappointing stay

The internet did not work at all in the back half of the apartment (where there was a desk for working). In the living room area, it was was very poor and lots of Zoom calls were dropped.

The check in experience was horrible. They have no staff in the building but rather in another building 2 blocks away. You have to use your phone to open building and unit doors, and they insist they cannot give you a key or card.

The kitchen lacked some basic things: cutting board, knife to cut vegetables/meat/bowls for cereal.

An alarm went off twice, once at 1am in the morning. It was dysfunctional and I notified them both times. That I had to be woken up at 1am and then notify them a second time speaks to the poor service.

When you write to them, a chat bot answers you. It doesn't identify itself as a chat bot, so this conversation be a real waste of time. I would rather wait for their working hours than have a chat with a bot.

The hotel is located half a block from the Plaza del Sol. It has 2 metro lines and a train line (cercanías). It was very convenient. However, the street (Arenal) was so incredibly busy, you couldn't walk around. I have never seen such a busy street in my life, and I personally found it very unpleasant.

Do not recommend. We stayed here for 4 nights and nobody was able to sleep due to noise 24/7. The main bedroom faces off to a constantly busy pedestrianised street and above a late night sandwich shop. When people enter/exit the building, you hear everything, particularly in the living area / 2nd bedroom. We wanted to move and amongst the advice was to buy some earplugs. We didn’t sleep and didn’t want to spend time in the apartment. It was clean.

I'd read mixed reviews before booking, but for 3 nights it was a good price and you cant get a better location, so we booked.
I can only comment on our own experience, 31, 3rd Floor.
The lift does not stop at 3, but does stop at 2. If you have suitcases, take note!
The apartment was fine for us and our teenage daughter. It was clean, comfy and there was plenty of space when the sofa bed is put away. Basic kitchenette and small bathroom with a shower, but big enough, and clean. Good air con too, though fiddly to initially turn on with the remote.
Its a relatively modern apartment, and yes, some bits here and there are worn, but this didnt impact our stay and we would be happy to stay in that apartment again.
2 tube stations, Sol and Opera, within a 3 or 4 minute walk and many of Madrid's hilights are within a 20 to 30 minute stroll. Some are closer.

Great location....uncomfortable stay

Communication from the management could have been better. It took us 15 minutes to find the building once we were dropped off by the uber. Elevator takes you to only foors 1, 2 and 5. My room was on 4 which meant I had to lift my luggage on the stairs.

The hot water tank is very small. It produces hot water enough for just one person. The water pressure is extremely low as well.

Wifi didnt work for me at all during our stay.

The location was walking distance to everywhere so enjoyed that. Kitchen was great for big breakfast making. Loved that the kids (teens) had a bedroom and so did we. Washing machine great. It was San Isidro week so all night was so noisy. We were blocks from the Plaza Major and still the party, and trash pick up all night. Closing ur windows at night helps. This place is a great deal for location and what it has to offer as after a week we just wanted a home cooked meal- which we made in apartment kitchen. It’s nothing fancy but what u need is there.

Cleanliness - poor. Toilet was dirty and it's so small and congested. The lift doesn't goes to all the floors so be mindful that you might need to carry the bags yourself. The rooms and reception are at a different locations. Rooms are not soundproof cause we heard lot of noise from the neighbour. There were hairs all over the floor, despite us requesting cleaning service there was none provided.

Where to start...
The unit is not representative of the pictures seen on the ad. It is pretty basic to say the least. Queen bed 1 pillow each, fitted sheet that doesn't fit. No surface or place to put anything down. Weird sewer smell but that's prob the city. Hot water optional. Rodents welcome but in dark staircase only, thank god. Oh by the way they say no elevator but you realize there is one after schlepping your luggage up 5 flight up. (Travel tip: take the elevator to 5. Walk down.)

Be prepared also to have plenty of time on hand to sort out the various mishaps that will happen with their app to get in and out of the place. And when you do manage to open the door, be very cautious of mangling your hand.
Location is choice. You'll love it.

We liked that the location was very close to the main center and that it felt like a relatively secure place to live in however the location was very hard to find at first.

Additionally the sheets on the pull out couch was yellowish and looked like it had never been cleaned. Also, while there was air conditioning in the apartment, it was located where the primary bed was making that room very cold while the pull out couch/kitchen area did not get any of the AC.
Finally, with the pull out couch there was barely any space to walk unless you jumped up on the couch or folded it back up

Overall, not sure we would come back here again but it was an okay experience if your main goal is to be close to everything!

Beware, the tiniest of windows! If you suffer from claustrophobia, do not book this suite
There are two very small windows, quite high from which you can barely see below.
Otherwise, nice big bedrooms with two bathrooms and small lounge with a much too big tv for the distance from the pull out couch.

No adequate communication and no effective help!!! We booked 2 rooms for 3 nights
One room had no proper AC for all of our stay while in the middle of a heat wave. We had to argue to secure basic amenities like soap and linen for the sofa bed. No towel service even if we asked and the plumbing overflowed....

Amazing location, great bed but every thing else was problematic. They had 3 days to fix it but came up short... So yes, your new name is Suites You Stink!

This place is kind of hard to find because the sign is small and doesn’t stand out. But the location is amazing because it is so close to lots of great restaurants, shopping, sites, etc. We brought earplugs just in case but got pretty lucky with neighbors and did not need them. The overall cleanliness was ok but many of the towels were stained and could use a good bleaching. The sofa bed could use to be replaced but the regular bed was good. I felt there was a good amount of storage.

We deeply enjoyed our stay, the space was spacious, had a functional kitchen and was clean. We especially enjoyed the view to the street, since it is extremely centrally located. There were a couple problems with the toilet flushing that came and went but overall that was the only major issue.

I enjoyed my time at this small apartment. It's is located in a busy centric area of Madrid, but the apartment id very quiet and peaceful.

Could be better and where is the reception?

Suites You Zinc could be a lot better with some changes. First and foremost we arrived at the property address after an international 9 hour flight and there was just a locked door with no lobby. I was nervous as I thought we had been stiffed given the property seemed abandoned. I pressed one of the intercom buttons that faintly said \"reception\" and also received no answer.

I then proceeded to get my cellphone out of airplane mode so I could make an international call to the number listed. Finally someone answered and said the reception was 5 blocks away in a different address, so we went over there and finally got the key. Once inside the apartment was spacious but a bit dark and the wifi did not work well at all. The wifi signal was very low. Additionally the shower head was broken and did not stay in place and the balcony door did not close very well.

I will say the location is great and the room we got was super quiet even with the pride festival going on down the street at Plaza Del Sol until 4am.

All in all I think for the price this \"hotel\" should have been much better. It's really a repurposed apartment. Additionally they really should leave some instructions at the door saying where the lobby is located.
