Good location in Ximending and just outside of the busy area such that it is quiet at night. Literally step outside the metro station exit 3. I thought the price is reasonable, not cheap nor expensive. Room is clean, has strong AC and good WiFi. There’s a common room in the basement with small kitchen and laundry. Staff was courteous and lent us umbrellas for our rainy days in Taipei.

Front desk were polite and courteous. The place was so clean. Although the rooms are small, they are very well planned. They are cleaned everyday. We always come back to a crisp and clean bed. The staff are very responsive. They attend to the needs of the guests promptly. The location is the best - very convenient! It made our first time in Taiwan special.

Haunted Hotel
The room was very small and cramped for two pax and we hardly had space to open our luggages. We were initially allocated a room at level 6 and was told to change rooms few days later due to their “emergency” maintenance work (unexplained). This has caused a lot of inconvenience to us and other affected residents on the same floor. We were given another room at level 2 which was potentially haunted. We can always hear knocking or things dropping sound coming from the toilet when there is no activity. This happens throughout the night. The sound insulation is also very bad during the day. Will not recommend anyone to stay in such a small and yet potentially haunted hotel given the fees they charged (not cheap).

Excellent accomm less than 1 minute walk to Ximen station (gate 3), well placed for access to the local walking district and food offerings. The room we had was a bit small for 2 of us with large suitcases and the walls felt a bit thin but the service from the staff was impeccable. Also free noodles and use of laundry facilities. The property is right next to exit 3 of Ximen Station so it is really convenient. The staff are always polite and helpful. The hotel room is clean and beds are comfortable, with 2 pillows for each person. Hotel also provides feebies like snacks, UCC coffee and there is a water dispenser at the lobby. It even provides instant noodles for supper! The only down side is that there aren't sufficient hooks to hang clothes in the bathroom and bedroom. Amazingly good value! Highly recommended.

The staff was very nice and provided a lot of help. They contacted me to give me an accessible room since I walk with a cane. They would suggest places to eat and things to do. They give you a free umbrella to use. I used the shuttle (charge about 1200 TWD) to Taoyuan airport since a typhoon was coming in and I had a lot to carry, and it was worth the money. It's located right next to Ximending area and the Ximen Metro station so it was incredibly convenient.

The friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff is simply extraordinary. For example, when we would walk in the main doors, the staff would all rise to greet us with very welcoming smiles. They go above and beyond what could possibly be expected from a front desk. A request for nearby specific cuisine ideas gave us several pages of customized restaurant and night market recommendations with photos and personal thoughts. This was completely unexpected, and we were blown away. These pages are now souvenirs of our trip. We would easily give far more stars than the five maximum for the Staff & service rating.

No breakfast but there’s possibility of buying breakfast from hotel partners. Conveniently location (honestly this is the best). Free instant noodle at night and in room snacks. The only down side is the sound proof of neighbouring rooms which one of the night went a little wild also room is slightly small but toilet is quite big.

The front desk staff was very patient with our enquiries and helped arrange for airport transfer which was at a very reasonable rate. Though the room was carpeted, a little dated and small, we still managed to have a comfortable overnight stay.

Walls are thin, so bring earplugs or a white noise machine/app. Area is a little run down but still safe. Certainly compared to the comparable Times Square. Modern rooms with maids that keep it clean but they also start early, around 8, so don't stay up too late if you want good sleep. No windows, so was a bit of mold in the bathroom. If you're staying long term, perhaps consider upgrading. If short term, not a bad stay at all.

Convenient location just within 5 mins from the main Ximending shopping street. There are many convenient stores and food shops nearby so we never ran out of food to eat. Hotel reception also provides free instant noodles at night so there is no one moment that we felt hungry. There is a laundry and dining room at B1 so we hung out there quite a lot to relax with friends (we stayed at different rooms) after shopping. Overall a pleasant stay, we would definitely return to this hotel in the future when visiting Taipei.

The pantry is well stocked with biscuits, coffee machine, water dispenser, microwave oven, toaster. Could not ask for a better hotel for our family of 6. We got 2 rooms, which were very clean and thoughtfully furnished. We really appreciated the dining area at B1 where we could eat our takeouts, and with some complimentary refreshments provided. There is even a self-service laundry.
Most importantly, customer service is top notch. They go out of their way even for small requests.

Elite double room, wish I got a bigger room. This room already has windows but it still felt small. I did like the separation between the bedroom and bathroom. Liked the availability of hooks and light switches everywhere. Liked the free snacks, instant noodles available at night at the lobby, and tea/water. The service folks are friendly. The location is super central and right across from the Ximen MRT station. Peaceful sleep (not noisy at all), 7-11s/Family Mart right outside.

My wife and I stayed at Cityinn for 6 nights using our visit to Taipei. We intentionally chose Cityinn because it is a distance away from Ximeding - far enough to avoid its bustle and din but near enough to walk there (3 mins). It is a minute's walk from Ximen MRT's exit 3 - super convenient - and opposite a rather posh though quiet shopping mall with affordable restaurants at its basement.
The room is of a decent size, with a double bed, small desk with water flask, fridge, safe and a mini open closet to hand clothes, all without impeding two persons walking around the room. TV comes with free on-demand latest-ish movies. Bathroom is well stocked and spacious, with pleasant creature comforts such a heated toilet seat (!).
It must be mentioned that the lobby provides free coffee, tea and hot chocolate, not to mention cup noodles between 10pm to midnight. What's more impressive is an equipped kitchen in the basement that also has free drinks (Jura coffee machine), mini oven, microwave and a sink. There is also free usage of its washer, dryer and (flimsy but no complaints there) standing steam iron.
