IF YOU HAVE AN EXPENSIVE MOTORCYCLE DO NOT PARK IN THE APPARENTLY SECURE HOTEL UNDERGROUND GARAGE BECAUSE IT IS NOT SECURE! The garage needs a seven number code to enter or leave the garage. At 0430 it was possible for thieves to steal my motorcycle which had a disc lock on the front wheel and a chain on the rear and exit the garage using the apparently private (residents only) code. Response at desk was poor and uninterested. The CCTV was useless and it was not possible to review any footage due to problems with the system. Consequently the police would not be able to review the footage (if any exists) and collect evidence. The manager’s contribution was to say “we will use the theft of your motorcycle to get senior management at Ibis/Accor to improve/upgrade the CCTV.” The fact that up to four criminals (required to lift the motorcycle) were able to either pass the front desk and enter the garage from the lobby or enter the garage using the confidential code at 0430 and steal the motorcycle is worrying and raises questions about how this could happen in a respectable hotel chain. In the circumstances I feel badly let down by the hotel.

Good value for money but would have been nice to know it was under renovation. Good thing we were there on a weekend as Mon am we woke at 7 am to nail hammering noises. Our room had been recently renovated so it was in good shape. It was cold at night and there was no heat yet in the building. I asked for an extra blanket and was given a sheet. The staff at reception were very helpful with bus directions, calling cabs etc.

Very good value for the money
This Ibis is a good value. It is basic, but all that is needed is in place. A comfortable clean bed, good housekeeping and hot shower. It was especially good to have very decent air conditioning during the incredibly hot spell that hit Europe. The sfaff was helpful and supportive and English speaking. For basic travel at a fair price I highly recommend.

You can't argue with the great price. I basically showered and slept there and spent all my time outside. The halls upstairs reeked so much of cigarettes you'd think smoke was being pumped in. One day I came back from work and my room smelled strongly of smoke. My bottle of Tylenol 3/codeine for back pain went missing. The front door handle was so dirty I wanted to use a Kleenex to open it. This was at odds with super friendly staff and clean rooms and foyers. I guess you can have customers who smoke in the hall in any hotel. Would I stay again, probably.

The Hotel was OK, not bad but not fantastic. Reception lady very friendly and helpful once we got into to hotel but the negatives were
1) Checking in with a car is very difficult - nowhere to pull up. If you try to get into the hotel's chargeable car park before you check in you can't because you neeed to know the access code which is only available after you have checked and paid for the car park. This necessitates blocking the car park entrance or else trying to back out onto a very difficult road. Correspondingly you have to pull up & block all the traffic illegally and are more or less obliged to pay for parking so that you can move your car and have time to get the bags out. Frustrating when you know that there is free on street parking nearby but you haven't had the time to find it.
2) The room reeked of cigarette smoke when we returned in the evening. It hadn't when we checked in but definitely did when we got back. I felt like it was coming through the bathroom somehow.
3) It was a bit of a hike out of town although there was a regular bus service from just outside at Euro2.20 each way. I felt some more information as to how to use the buses and how to buy tickets etc would have been helpful. After all, almost every visitor doesn't know the area or the transport system.

OK for the price
We were a bit disappointed when we first saw the room but then we realised it was a budget Ibis. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, but the location was not what we were expecting. As we didn't have our own transport we wondered what we would so on the day in Lyon but we found the Cite Internationale quite close & managed to spend a nice day exploring that & the Modern Art Museum it contained. We thought a bath mat & hair dryer could have been provided.

This is a perfectly acceptable budget hotel. This means that you are paying for a bed, shower and TV rather than posh furniture and extra staff. I have stayed here many times now and have nothing bad to say about it. It is not in a great neighbourhood but is ten minutes walk across the bridge to the Tête d’or park which is wonderful.

This was our favorite hotel. Perfect location! Staff and customer service was exceptional! Martial and his staff were very helpful whenever we needed assistance. The hotel is right next to the bus stop which could take you downtown. The hotel is really close to a laundromat and restaurants. Expect great quality restaurants for a cheap price in the location. Always came back to a clean room and the bathroom was big! We can't wait to come back!

Hôtel en plein travaux situé dans un quartier très bruyant (voie rapide et train). La restauration se fait à l'hôtel Ibis à proximité et dont le chemin le plus simple est jonché d'immondices nous obligeant à faire le grand tour pour plus de sécurité. Pas vraiment d'intérêt.

Honnêtement la propreté des chambres est à revoir. Nous sommes tombés sur un monsieur réceptionniste à la réception le samedi 6 juillet au alentour de 16h40 qui nous a verbalement agresser cetais choquant.. en contre parti Mr Harvey(l’américain) étais adorable rien à dire ce Mr étais très à l’écoute, au petit soin franchement top encore merci de votre gentillesse l’américain!!

Suite a un problème de sante, j’ai prévenu l’hôtel que j’annulais mon voyage et leur ai demandé de me rembourser ou de me faire un avoir pour une prochaine fois. Demande faite par la messagerie de l’hôtel directement. Je n’ai eu aucune réponse. Cela frôle l’impolitesse. Et en plus, pour les joindre par téléphone : numéro payant. C’est scandaleux.

Que lhotel soit sale sombre avec des odeurs de nourriture épicée dans les etages et que de mon lit j'entends les chasses d'eau les bruits des clients qui parlent fort dans les couloirs apres 22h. Tout cela serait passé. Mais la double couche d' emmerdement liee au fait que j'ai du payer 2 fois ma chambre sinon je ne pouvais pas dormir apres 7 h de voyage, le mail a rediger avec envoi de justificatifs : preuve de mon premier règlement et maintenant ca ne suffit pas je dois prouver le 2eme règlement on nest pas loin de la maltraitance du client. Vous avez fait une erreur REPARER LA !!!! voyez entre vous les sommes reçues .je nai pas le temps de passer une semaine daller retour administratif à me justifier pour VOS ERREURS.

(d'après les avis google c'est fréquent), le personnel du matin très à l'aise, tutoie les clients et assez bavard surtout avec les filles. Cela m'a dérangé et une autre cliente également.

O hotel é horroroso! No corredor para chegar ao quarto o cheiro era horrível, de algum produto usado. Limpeza precária!! Sem ar condicionado, apenas funcionava como ventilador num calor de cerca de 30 graus. Banheiro muito velho, quarto velho. Tivemos que trocar de hotel antes do término da estadia pois o cheiro nos corredores e no quarto era horrível e o calor insuportável!
