Bugs in our room.- crawling up the bathroom wall and scurrying up the wall. They said they were full and couldn’t move us. A gentleman was complaining at the desk and insisting he be moved or sent to a different hotel due to a solvent smell that was unsafe. Suddenly a room opened and we were afraid they would put us in one of those chemical smelling rooms so we stayed in the room with bugs. We felt they didn’t listen or care. The room was so small that we couldn’t open or store our suitcase anywhere except on the bed. No where to sit except the bed but that was where the suitcase was. It was all miserable.

I reserved two rooms for my brother-in-law’s family, who were visiting Singapore for the first time. Unfortunately, their stay was extremely disappointing, with issues arising almost every day starting from check-in.

The ongoing hotel renovation caused significant inconvenience and safety concerns. There was no water supply between 1:00 AM and 4:00 AM, and loud renovation work occurred daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, making it impossible for guests to rest comfortably. While the staff made efforts to assist, they appeared undertrained and lacked attention to detail.

Specific examples include:
-One room had no power upon check-in.
-Sink and bathtub drains were clogged.
-Bedsheets were stained and had to be replaced after requesting re-service.
-Clean towels were not provided after housekeeping.
-Elevator sensors malfunctioned, resulting in a guest being struck by the closing door.

I strongly urge the hotel management to consider the severe inconvenience and potential hazards posed to guests during renovations. Proactive measures—such as reducing occupancy or offering clear warnings—are essential to ensure guest safety and comfort. Overall, this was a very poor experience and far below expectations.

The room may be small, but it's impeccably clean and offers plenty of storage space. There are numerous power outlets, and the complimentary tea and instant coffee were a nice touch. The hotel's location is highly convenient, being close to the MRT station and a McDonald's. However, the pool's odd shape makes it difficult for lap swimming.

Extremely convenient location for food shopping, dining and mass transit access. With a slightly longer walk there is access to a wider range of shopping, restaurants and of course, a Singapore Hawker Center food court and wet market (go in the morning). The outstanding Singapore Botanical Gardens are only four stops away on the next door MRT. The hotel was excellent with wonderful staff who really seemed to care about their guests. Our room was an executive apartment with a separate bedroom, bathroom and living area. The kitchen is sufficently equiped to cook a full meal. The hotel has a reasonable size swimming pool on the fourth floor which is supplied with plenty of towels, hot showers and table and chairs.
Overall we were extremely pleased with our choice of hotel and will certainly stay there again next time we are in Singapore.

Fabulous place!

I stayed at this hotel during a 4-day business trip to Singapore. I was quite impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel and the professionalism of the staff. The room was thoroughly cleaned and equipped with standard materials expected in a 4-star hotel. Breakfast was excellent! I’ll definitely stay here again the next time I visit Singapore.

A few little fixes

For what you are paying the room is tiny! You are a 20mins on public transport central. The bathroom needs a bit of an overhaul spacious but the bath handle was hanging on, there’s little niggly bits that bothered me, the carpet being cut too short so it was showing the floor underneath, the bedroom lights being cold instead of warm the bathroom lights being warm instead of cold. The walls are thin, the wardrobe doors should be sliding doors otherwise it’s a faff to open and close them especially the middle one. the staff are friendly, the cleaners are great.

The hotel is ideal for anyone planning a longer stay in Singapore as the room has a small functional kitchenette with full sized refridgerator and washer/dryer combo. The Bueno Vista MRT station is nearby as well as, The Star Vista and Rochester Malls offering offering over a dozen resturaunts and bars within 200 metres of the hotel.

Check-in was smooth as tofu, and we felt welcomed by the front desk!

The hotel sits across Star Vista, so you have plenty of food options.

We stayed in room 518. Generally the room is considered clean, in my opinion. No plastic water bottles were provided (eco-friendly!) but they have a dedicated filtered water tap for drinking, in the bathroom, which we were informed during check-in.

The only thing that bugs me was the periodic “cracking-bone” sound at night, seemingly near our room’s entrance. Nonetheless, we had a good night sleep.

Our air-con broke down and they quickly sent a maintenance personnel and fixed the issue within 2 mins.

Overall, our experience was a pleasant one.

Was given a room without a bathtub initially even though the booking I made should have come with it. Staff did promptly assist in changing the room, but I thought this should not have happened.

The room was a bit worn, cleanliness was ok. The location of the bathroom switches did not make sense - only at the entrance, which makes it inconvenient when you want to use it in the middle of the night.

The bathtub was a bit \"faulty\" - the tub was leaking did not hold the water, the volume of water was a quarter empty by the time I was about to get in. The maintenance staff did rectify this promptly but by this time I was quite disappointed and lost confident with the in-room amenities.

Overall it was an okay stay. Staff made up for the misses but the hardware needs improvement.

While the staff was friendly (which is wonderful), the amenities were a let-down.

Our shower had no hot water, and the swimming pool and gym had no available slots. There was no opportunity to use the facilities during our stay.

The soundproofing was non-existent, we could hear conversations loud and clear from INSIDE our room. We were hearing conversations at 1am.

The hotel has the potential to be a great hotel, it just needs a couple of fixes.

Great location for the Star Vista Mall for food

The location of the hotel was great, to be able to walk 5 minutes to the Star Vista shopping Mall for plenty of food options.
I had a quick breakfast only one 1 day, which didn't seem the largest selection, but that could have been because I didn't look so hard, however as I had been upgraded to a room with a kitchen, I went to cold storage for groceries for the rest of my stay
Having a kitchen and washing machine is difficult to find to Singapore and so I will definitely be staying there again

not worth the money value and poor service

Front desk are messy. When you check out, there is no bill to show your expense. When i check the credit card slip after payment, I noticed the big difference from my assumed amount. Then the front desk realized their typo on the amount of credit card charges via the machine. If i was notified after I left Singapore, it will become more troublesome on voiding my excessive charges especially on business travel. The front desk did not make sincere apologies which I was bit disappointed.

During our 12 days long stay in the premium suites, overall speaking it was fine. The staff were friendly. The kitchen has a large fridge, stove, sink, and all the cooking ware. There are two TVs in each room. But the washing machine made very loud noise when we washed the clothes. Most of the time we had to request extra bathroom stuff or tea bags. There is only one restaurant in the hotel. Luckily there is a shopping mall within 5 minutes walk.

The hotel is close to the Buona Vista train stop, so getting there from the airport is easy, and there were malls and restaurants within walking distance. The hotel staff were helpful and efficient, for example advising that it was not necessary to schedule a taxi to the airport the night before--it would arrive quickly when called in the morning, without a booking fee. The room was clean and quiet, but dominated by the bed, with not much room other than that. There was not room for a luggage rack, so I ended up staging my suitcase on the drawers in the closet, which worked. The desk was a good height, but its drawer was too deep--I had to lower the chair more than was comfortable to keep from hitting my knees. There were plenty of electric outlets, but no direct USB charging ports. The room had good control of lighting, with two switches for the bathroom, three for the room overall, controllable from the entrance or the bed, and two more at the bed for reading light and nightlight. The buffet breakfast was great with lots of variety, but a bit pricy. At dinner I was told that tap water was not available, which seems odd since tap water is drinkable everywhere in Singapore. There's a room service robot which roams around the hotel, and politely asks to be let onto the elevator when people block its path to gawk at it.

Would prefer that the hotel follows standard hotel payment process for payments made at the hotel, whereby the card used for the booking is charged upon check-in, not upon checking out.

I booked a 2 nights room for my guest through Expedia using my own credit card and I choose to make payment at the Hotel. Upon booking, my card is being charged half of the total amount for booking. Upon checking in, my card used for the booking is being charged again by the hotel with full amount plus an additional $100 as deposit.

I let it go until on the day of checkout where all the horror came.

On the day of checkout, my guest is made to make another full payment with her own card, even though the charges have been charged to my card twice.

I called in to check why a total of 3 payments are being charged to me and my guest. It took quite some time for the staff to explain as the staff in charge seems to be unable to explain the reason even though I have given all the booking details as per his request. The staff have mentioned that the 2 charges made to my card will be refunded to me, which I am still waiting to see if it is actually refunded.

While the payment is temporary sorted out, it did not makes sense to charge your customer 3 times. Please look into improving this process. Am very upset that my guest is made to pay, and until now, it is still unknown which card will get the refund.

During our one day stay realised that the bottom of the Carpet was kinda of dirty maybe before our stay there is party holding before Bec a lot party papers cut was found.

And been using Hotels.com to book and paid for my stay which is my third time to stay at this same hotel, Bec is near where my parent stay And the hotel reception always cannot find my booking in the end, They had to find a empty room for us. Other then that is still a good stat for us. Overall still good!

Absence of staff in the hotel in the morning two days in a row even after the person at the desk confirmed the evening of the first day that the absence in the morning was an anomaly that would be corrected to next days. Hence the impossibility of checking out and the need to call in emergency people from across the street taking care of the breakfast.

Hotel is located conveniently near eateries, Star Vista Malls and MRT. Close promximity to Holland village and night hang outs. Check in was fast and staff were very friendly and smiling. The room that I got is facing the Main Street as per request. Like the fact that hotel is going eco I.e. no longer supplying bottle drinks and is making efforts to install drinking taps in every room.

We are staying at 2 bedroom suite.
Everything is provided here. Kitchen with all the utensils, Washing Machine, Drinking Water direct from a water tap, Got 3 TV (living room and each bedroom) so everyone can watch their own favorite Channel. Really feel like staying at home.
All staffs here also very friendly and helpful.
Location is great, shopping mall just beside the hotel. Opposite here also got a building with many restaurants there. Cold storage/supermarket also located at that building.
Definitely will stay here again if we back to singapore.
