The room was serviceable, and the view overlooking the sea was nice, but i had several major issues with the property.
1. The property has a “co-living” setup, where purchasing a room actually means reserving one room within a suite of up to 3 others. This was not communicated before reservation and was only communicated in a message via Hotels.com after my non-refundable purchase. I ended up as the only man in a suite of women, all of whom I did not know so that was pretty uncomfortable.
2. They seem to not trust their residents because they conduct random inspections to ensure things like lights and air conditioning are not left running when you’re not on the premises. Someone ended up coming in while I was in bed. It felt like a kid’s summer camp.
3. The property is awkwardly located up a half-sidewalk-paved road from the main road. So for those traveling on foot/using public transport, it’s not convenient at all.
4. Finally, upon checkout, the concierge seems to have incorrectly “released/reversed” the holds placed on my cards for the security deposit (I split the deposit over two cards), and so 11 days after checkout, the holds on the funds have yet to be released by my banks. The property won’t acknowledge the messages I’ve sent via Hotels.com about this, so it appears I’ll need to wait up to 30 days before disputing with my banks.
Overall, I would not recommend this property to tourists at all unless you’re looking for a cheap option for a group.
