Great price, neat and tidy hotel very close to Havelock Station. Room was a little bit musty and could do with some carpet deodoriser but everything else made up for it with a massive room by Singapore standards, everything working, good A/c, filtered water and heaps of lifts.

Nice clean room, spacious and close to Great World shopping center (about 7 min walk) and to Singapore’s river walk where there were many restaurants and coffee shops with 7 min walk from hotel. Also metro line station right outside hotel making it easy to ride the subway to all areas around Singapore. Only disappointment was breakfast buffet too expensive and no alternative to grab a quick coffee and muffin or pastry for b’fast at the hotel. Same with dinner. It was easier and better to go out to metro and hit a Hawker’s market or eat at one of the many shopping malls.

I loved this hotel. The rooms are big compared to other hotels in Singapore. We had a room with three beds. We had enough room for three of us adults. The bathroom was clean and also big.
The subway was next to the hotel. We could get anywhere.
The staff is great and friendly.
The buffet has many items. Western and local.
I will start here again.

This is an older but a very nice hotel. They have maintained it well. The lobby is spacious and impressive. From what we experienced, it is conveniently located. The buffet meals are expensive at $67 per person but we understand that Singapore is an expensive place. Overall a good experience

Every time I stay here the level of service drops! The service at the front desk is woeful. We arrived at check in and there was a single trainee (no badge or HI shirt…) who was utterly clueless - wouldn’t look at us, or answer a question directly. Poor social skills are one thing…but abandoning this poor chap alone was disgraceful and there’s no justification for it. Eventually a very stroppy ‘supervisor’ came out to sort out the mess. Room requests were ignored and she allocated a terrible room (regular stays allow us to know rooms to avoid). When I told her the room was unacceptable she rolled her eyes and miraculously found a better room.
We stay here one/two times a year as the location is perfect. Frankly, it might be time for a change…am not sure how many more times I want to ‘go into battle’ after a thirteen hour flight!

We travelled as a family with a young child, and the experience was absolutely disappointing for several reasons:

Terrible service at breakfast: The chef's behaviour was shockingly rude and biased. Despite raising a complaint, no corrective action was taken.

Chaotic breakfast environment: It was consistently overcrowded, clearly understaffed, and no one seemed to be in control of the situation.

Outdated facilities: Many areas felt neglected and in need of refurbishment.

Lack of basic amenities: Not enough towels were provided in the room, and repeated requests were ignored.

Empty promises from reception: We were assured that reward points would be added due to the inconvenience caused, but nothing ever came through.

Overall, the lack of care and poor management made this an unpleasant stay. I would not recommend this hotel for family travel.

Thank you for the front office staff who has kindly assisted to upgrade it to Executive room for early check in and late check out! However, the stay this time as not as comfortable as compared to the previous one. The pillows were too soft causing my neck rest uneasy and has difficulty in sleeping. The TV set sound is too soft even at maximum volume level and the water of shower head is not strong enough. Hope these area could be improved for a enhanced stay experience the next time. Thank you for your attention and assistance!

The hotel looks dated both from the outside and the rooms yet the rates per night is more expensive than the more luxurious stay across the road at Grand Copthrone. Gym facility is small and slightly dated and again not as good at Grand Copthrone.

The staff are lovely and very accommodating. The new metro station underneath is also a great perk. However, this hotel is very much in need of a refurbishment. The gym is old and tired, with equipment out of service or items missing. The rooms are jaded and quite damp. The breakfast set up is poor, with the self service area feeling chaotic even at the ‘quieter’ times, due to its squashed layout. The Holiday Inn Express nearby in Robertson Quay much fresher feeling.

We expected so much more when we booked this hotel for our 5 day trip to Singapore.
The hotel is an old hotel.

Breakfast buffet was great.
Housekeepers were very attentive and kind.

Our multiple requests to have our room bookings close to each other as we were travelling with young children, were initially ignored.
Then each front desk staff we spoke with had one excuse or another that they were not informed of our request.
A particular front desk staff Anna was extremely rude when communicating with us despite us being calm and explaining that we had made this request multiple times.
Breakfast wait staff were very pleasant. Dinner wait staff, not quite.

We’ve stayed in IHG hotels before and we are members.

Never have we been treated with disdain because we took our children to dinner. IHG hotels pride themselves in being kid-friendly, offering the ‘kids eat for free’ßperk.
Nothing kid friendly about this one sadly.

I think overall the hotel is located at a very convenient place, clean and quiet. The only thing I am not very happy about is the breakfast, a lot of the supposedly hot dishes are not hot, they are not maintained at proper temperature.

Cockroaches In Holiday Inn Atrium

Business trip prepaid for 10 nights in the Holiday Inn Atrium. On the first day there was a couple of issues, which the duty manager sorted out quickly to my satisfaction. After that everything was going well, Hotel was good value for money and the staff could not be more helpful, remembering my name and little nice things like that. On my second last night coming out of the bar i was confronted by a very large Cockroach in the lobby! which i took a couple of photos off. First time for a cockroach in Singapore! On check out i mentioned the aforementioned insect and although it was noted but no one seemed surprised.... I will stay again.

Close to the brown line Metro. There was nobody at the front desk for a while when we arrived. We got the bellhop to get someone after waiting for a bit. It’s clean with great views. But the Atrium in the middle of the whole place looks a little desolate and could use some livening up.

The water pressure from the room shower head is one third that to have a good wash. I ended up washing at the health club everyday for 5 days instead. Very very inconvenient. But cannot wash off the soap otherwise.

The staff here is amazing! I mentioned in the notes that we were celebrating our anniversary, and they truly went above and beyond. They surprised us with not one, but two plates of complimentary marshmallows, and even added a lovely decoration! We’re also loving the unique architecture and the fun elevators.

The food served during breakfast is fantastic. The daily changes in the food gives travelers great options when you have extended stays. Laundry room is a huge plus. Pool facilities are great. Connection to the MRT is also a huge benefit. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Singapore.

When we arrived I noticed a mouldy smell in the hallway. This aroma was also in our room. When you consider how much per night you are charged it was a bit disappointing. The breakfast buffet had extensive vegetarian opions , however not many vegan options. Perhaps bircher musili could be soaked in Coconut milk, Or a Chia seed and coconut milk . pudding.. I gave feedback while there, staff did not respond well to my concerns.

Very comfortable stay. A great view from my room. Saw the sunsets. Good bed, good shower. However, the room could do with brighter lighting. The wi-fi could be improved. Depending on the site, the wi-fi tended to be slow. Great swimming pool; long enough to swim laps.

The onsite laundromat was a plus and easy access to the MRT and hawker stalls. The air con was too cold and kept having to turn it off. Liked not changing the towels everyday for the environment but didn't realize that this also meant no housekeeping of the room.

Overall, it was a nice place to stay. For a 4-star hotel, it was what you would expect, not flash but still very clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was also a very short walk to Havelock MRT and an easy place to commute from.
