The area around this hotel was very gorgeous. There are tons of bars and cafes, location is very convenient as well. The rooms were clean and had great views. I would definitely recommend if this hotel stuck out to you, go for it.

Hotel is priced correctly for SG standard but the room was is a very poor condition, from the TV issues to the wall sockets that are broken... It was a disaster. Ah, also a very bad smell coming from the shower.

Also I forgot that some hotels still charge extra for an early check in, that is such a bad practice. If the room is ready, why charging to let the guest in 1h early... That's a very cheap practice which thanks god is rare in Asia!

I lived at this hotel 3 years ago and rebooked this hotel for my Singapore trip with family. I have to say their service and amenities got significantly worse than 3 years ago. Amenities are not getting well maintained, all incidents on google reviews are true
1. Poor AC, first night AC was not working. We had late night flight and they were unable to fix it right away. We waited until the next morning and hotel gave us free breakfast and got it fixed. In Singapore, it was hot; AC is very important, this really shocked us.
2. Room lock - room lock ran out of battery, we could not get in, and we have to ask technician to exchange battery
And 3rd day, my mom was locked from inside. You can get into the room from outside, but we cannot get out of the room. We reported and luckily we headed to dinner and night garden visit. They fixed that during our outing
3. Cleaning - no cleaning at all at 6pm for consecutive 3 nights. We just want to rest. So we exchanged the towels with janitor only. (We did not use their vanities and coffees)
4. Poor staff communication - you need to stick with one staff and get things fixed before his shift is done, otherwise, you need to restart again. (Staff did not leave notes or do anything during shifts)
5. Elevator was not working - yes, rumors from online are true. You might occasionally got locked at elevator with no AC
6. Room - curtain has multiple holes

Anyway, it was a totally different stay than 3 years ago. I hope this hotel can improve

I lived at this hotel back in 2022 winter, and I rebooked this place because I had good experience before. But this year, the service and amenities got significantly worse

Arrived at super late night due to flight delay, they even planned to put me as no show and put a fine
Then we reached our room, ac was NOT working. We tried to put the room temperature to 19 degree, after 1 hour, it did not work, so I had to call reception. It was a long wait and long process. The technician checked and confirmed there was a problem. He suggested putting temperature to lowest and turn the fan to highest mode. And then they left us for 30 min and never came back to fix it. We suffered a night and came to reception in the morning, then they gave us breakfast for free and set someone to fix it; incident 2: during day 2, door key was not working because the door lock went out of battery. We have to go up and down and even recorded the incident to proof; then they sent technician to change the battery; incident 3: during day 3, the door got locked again. We were not able to get out from room; only the janitor could use his key to open the door for us. We reported again. This stay was definitely horrible. Compare to their 3 years ago, room was not maintained very well, and management had a lot of problem. If I was working with one receptionist, I need to stick with her/him. Once their shift was done, no one knew anything, we had to start over again…

Front desk staff during the day were generally lacking in warmth.
One of the night staff at the front desk and a room cleaner were very pleasant.
Metal trim embedded in the floor of my room was uncomfortable to walk on as it hurt my feet.
Bed was lovely, shower worked well.
Room service was good and quick.

Friendly staff, good value of the price vs what you get.
The rooms are a bit small with very few electric sockets outtakes and I did not like to have the sink in the living room where hair residues from shaving e.g ends up in the carpet and hard to clean.
The location of the hotel and it's surrounding are excellent.

Gorgeous stay - it was the start of our honeymoon and we were greeted with gifts and chocolates and a card on the bed which was a lovely touch! Room was lovely, nice outdoor space. Pool and gym were immaculate and very lovely! Staff were also very nice :)

I was really looking forward to my first trip to Singapore, but chose poorly for my accommodations. The hotel is a bit cold and uninviting. The staff is not helpful. Didn't know that ice bucket or even just to get a bag to get ice from the machine was a luxury, because they looked at me like I asked for the penthouse suite. The area around there is pricey, if you want to find affordable food and drinks you will have to walk about 20-25 minutes. Would not stay here again and don't recommend the hotel. I am sure there are better options.

Had a balcony but didn’t use it as grubby and very dark. Felt dirty. Wouldn’t pay for this type of room. Only one seat made of material so damp and smelled. Room was small with no eye for detail. Paint splashes on floor. The room is very dark. Be aware sink is in the bedroom. No where for the kettle so had to plug in on the floor.

Very disappointing stay . Have stayed at other M Social. Breakfast is mediocre . Coffee and juice machines regularly breaking down toaster only toasts one side running out of cups at breakfast Had to ask for things repeatedly. Second set of bedding stained and holes . Swimming pool lights either broken or not working . Room layout looks great on line not practice in reality . Staff generally disinterested. Overheard a mother who was checking in that asked for somewhere to feed her baby to use restaurant toilet which is very grubby and only seating was the toilet . One day was urine all over floor doors very dirty . Television doesn’t work properly nor WiFi lost it for approx 12 hours on day. Only one film channel . Problematic to cast our streaming shows instead . Mini fridge barely cools . Lack of storage space for case. Won’t be back

I always stay at M Social when I’m in Singapore, and this time was no different. I had a loft room with the bed downstairs, which was a great setup for working. The room was modern, and the whole hotel has a really nice vibe. The location is perfect in Robertsons Quay close to the MRT (Havelock and Great World), and the hotel is by the river, so it’s easy to walk around and find good places to eat.

A couple of things to note, though. Because of the high ceiling in the loft room, the air conditioning struggled a bit so it only went down to 20°C, which might be an issue if you prefer a cooler room for sleeping. Also, some of the plug sockets were broken and need replacing. The room itself could use a deeper clean, things like polishing surfaces and refreshing the grouting in the shower would make a difference to the overall room. It would have been nice to have a brighter light in the area by the sofa in the upstairs area.

That said, for the price, location, and the fact that there’s a pool, it’s still great value, and I enjoyed the welcome snack of Pringles when arrived. I’ll definitely be back next time I'm in Singapore!

Great stay here! Great location with lots of drink and dining options very near by and close to many tourist attractions. Breakfast was superb, lots of western options as well as eastern. Being able to use the pool facilities inc showers after check out was a huge plus for us as we had a late flight. Only negative was that the room (we had a loft style) wasn’t very practical - wouldn’t want to stay here longer than a night or two because of this.

They do not like to provide house keeping services. I had to ask them multiple times to provide us house keeping services. In the whole world, hotel house keeping room services come around 12 pm to 3 pm, their house keeping came around 6/7 pm, but they did not come by themselves, i had to call, verbally tell them or requested via by their switch system. Air conditioning was a joke, even though we set it up for 16 degree it automatically went back to 24 degree, made us sweating a lot. They never changes towels or bed sheets, they just rearranged the old ones. Front desks staffs are sometimes rude.

I booked a normal room that was upgraded to a loft. I have stayed in their loft before with the bed being downstairs with the bathroom however, this time I got a loft with the bed upstairs in the bathroom downstairs. So I asked to get the original room that I booked for but they said that everything is booked up. So instead of getting upgraded, I was actually being put in a room that no one booked. I insisted that I do not want a room that I have to climb down to use the bathroom so they managed to get a room for me, but I have to wait until much later to do it. I had a meeting to go to, so I use the loft room that I got “upgraded” to freshen up, went back out for my meetings and came back close to midnight to move to a new room. They gave me to drink coupons and extended my checkout time though.

I stay here a lot and sadly this time it was disappointing. When I arrived last night there was no chair for the desk in my room.I went down to front desk and they insisted that chairs were not supplied as standard. This morning they admitted there should be a chair, but it made working in my room last night difficult. Lunch in the restaurant was very disappointing and again staff not helpful.
