Excellent location close to NUS university and theres is an entire block of restaurants and a 7-11 convenience store right around the corner of hotel. Also access to number of buses makes it convenient for public transpiration too.

Room was cleaned up well each day too. Bathroom is small with shower head right next to toilet which we weren’t used to but it worked.

I paid for a room the night before so I could check in early next morning after long flight. I told this to the hotel prior to check in. However, the room was not ready; a worker was applying tiles in bathroom with toxic smelling solvent. Hotel failed to note in listing that there were cranes and pile-drivers 5 feet in front of hotel doing loud construction. Stay away!

Expect high prices for a small cramped room. But that’s what you get in Singapore for that kind of money. You have just enough space to walk to the other side of the bed. The bathroom has a separate shower so once you shower the entire floor gets wet. The main negative point for us is the super slow Wifi which is hardly usable!! On the positive side, you get coffee/tea making facilities, hair dryer, a super cold fridge, TV and even an iron/ironing board. No small hand towel provided but you can ask for one. No drinking water is supplied, you’re expected to keep cool boiled water in the jug provided. If you’re not used to that, you can easily buy water from the several stores just around the corner. There are also lots of local eateries nearby catering mainly to the many students from the nearby university. We stayed here mainly due to the proximity to the university. There is a small bus station where you can take certain buses and also a bus stop nearby where you can take buses to the nearby shopping centre and also into the main city centre. That is however quite far. The staff are quite responsive and will try to rectify any problems.

You get exactly what you pay for, so no complaints there. The staff are helpful and friendly. The room is exactly as i expected. My only issue was the mattress was hard as rock and had to go buy a topper from IKEA to be able to sleep

Never stay here

Avoid this hotel. The management and desk staff are exceptionally rude and indifferent. I could not believe I would ever encounter a hotel manager in the HOSPITALITY industry with such low regard for treating customers well. I’m a 60+ year old academic professional so there can be no plausible rationale for their poor attitudes. Every single interaction with manager or staff was unpleasant and cringy.

The hotel provided us early check in without any extra charges. The room was clean and tidy. However, the room was small, but most of the rooms in Singapore at this price point is of this size. The staff was friendly. Overall, a nice stay.

Horrible staff and dingy smelly rooms. We stayed 5 nights and this was one of my worst hotel stays anywhere. I went there with my brother who had a surgery at his neck at NUHS. When i brought him back he was in pain so asked an additional pillow for him and they flat out declined to provide one stating its against hotel policy!!! One extra pillow!

WHen i asked to have a visitors parkjng spot which according to my contract i should get for free. They declined to provide one!

Each time i asked for direction or information i was met with stone faced refusal to help me! I a polite canadian and it was hard for me ro accept that my favorite city has a place like this!

This was mh 5th visit to singapore and the worst because of this gotel and its staff. Te TV and AC dont work the shower is directly on rop of the commode and the common area is full of unused hotel supply and trash! Avoid if you can at all cost.

The property is in good shape, has a good room size, and most importantly the staff members are very supportive. We had a wonderful stay there and I recommend this hotel as a good choice if you visit Singapore.

The bed was rock hard, sheets were stained and holey (and when we asked for a change, I was told that there wasn't much for housekeeping to do as the sheets often came back from the laundry stained - ew!), and the room itself was tiny. Additionally, there was only one soap (a two-in one that was expected to be used for literally everything, including hand washing) which was insanely drying. Finally, there's a 30 SGD charge for lost room cards, which is frankly ridiculous.

This hotel is a good value. The rooms are basic but all the necessary amenities are provided. The restaurants near the hotel are great for those who enjoy local Singaporean food - many great selections for breakfast, lunch and dinner!

Happy with my stay

Stayed at hotel due to SHN so did not expect much service from staff but they were mostly helpful. Room and amenities as described in booking however nothing provided in mini bar except bottled water. Overall happy with stay. Thank you.

1.Santa Grand West Coast might be an old building that layout is not appropriate which caused uncomfortable to stay at some rooms. Eg. rooms(X09) without windows, rooms(X03) adjacent to the lift that the mechanical noise is extremely annoy.
2.The loose part of the equipment, eg. hanger bar in the wardrobe, easily hurt people when it falls off.
3.The housekeeping is not careful, like the drain cover does not clean.

Room was ok...bathroom could at least have a curtain for shower...bed was horribly uncomfortable. The daily hammering from construction in the stairwells made it that much worse.

Good, clean place.. Close to NUH

This was my 2nd time at this Hotel and they have consistently delivered. You get what you pay for- but the staff and service is good and the rooms/ bathrooms are clean and comfortable. I basically stay there when I visit for my checkup at NUH and its location is just perfect for me. Also 7-11, restaurants and salon next door are great pluses.

Hi, as i am attending a training in NUS, santa grand hotel is so close and is so easy to get there. I was service with a prompt chk in & out. The hotel premises is clean and also has a team of friendly, helpful service crew.

Location of the hotel and proximity to NUS are the good aspects of this hotel. But the room and the bathroom are not clean. Only the bed is made up each day, the room remains dirty. The carpet on the floor and the walls are not clean. The walls of the bathroom, the wash basin and toilet also remain unclean each day.
Staff are pleasant.

I would not recommend.
Rooms small, no real shower, bathroom not the cleanest.
Too far from central tourist shopping etc. Extra spent on taxis would have paid for more central hotel with nicer facilities.
