Room ( Junior suite) was spacious great shower bathroom, bed was comfortable only complaint is the lounge chair this was uncomfortable to sit on very hard.
Room probably could do with a deep clean get into all the little nooks and crannies that dirt gets stuck into but daily house keeping did a good job.

Staff were amazing 10/10 nothing an issue for them. MJ gets special attention for her enthusiasm and love for life and others.

The food that we had was good, chicken wings and Satay sticks yum. Breakfast had a good variety and was always fresh, I would have like Cornflakes instead of Coco pops.
The only thing about where we stayed (room) it was a bit of a walk to the dining room and lots of stairs my old knees were aching after 6 days but I would go back but in a different room

We really impreased with our stay here, enjoyed the breakfast the service and MJ friendly welcome was a lovely touch, variety and quality was excellent. The room was clean and tidy and the completmentary cold drinks and snacks in our room was appreciated. We made use of the free shuttle service from the hotel to vivo and Harbourtown drop off and pickup was great. Also special shout out to the lovely Brinley/Brittney (not sure exact name) who was helpful and friendly. Thank you team.

We truly had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to everyone who served us during our visit.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary here, and the experience was made extra special thanks to the thoughtful.

A very sweet and lovely front desk lady, Ms Ain, surprised us with a complimentary upgrade to a couple’s suite with pool access. The room was beautifully prepared with an elegant swan towel arrangement on the bed. She also arranged a complimentary cake, drinks, and a dining voucher to be used in the restaurant, which was such a thoughtful and generous gesture.

The buggy service staff escorted us to our room, carefully handled our luggage, and patiently explained the area we can visit. He also kindly offered shuttle service to and from the hotel lobby whenever we needed to go out, which we truly appreciated.

Breakfast the next morning was impressive, with a wide variety of food choices. I was especially impressed by the cooling display that kept the cold items fresh and well-preserved, helping to maintain food hygiene.

Overall, every staff member we encountered was friendly, warm, and attentive. They truly made our wedding anniversary a memorable and meaningful one. Thank you to the entire team for such an exceptional experience. 💖

Amazing stay at Amara. The site was great. Quiet during the day, some areas can be a bit noisy at night but that's expected considering the restaurants nearby.

The resort grounds are beautiful but my room was very dirty and unsanitary. Mold in shower and around entire rim of sink. Ground under bed very very very dirty and trash under bed. Lotion container empty. For the exorbitant amount I paid for this room, it was very very unsatisfactory and I did not get the quality i deserved for such an expensive price.

Room was great, however, there were overhead white \"blinds\" above the day bed, which were mouldy, for the price i paid, i would expect that to be clean. Also, i wanted to extend my stay but the front desk did not go the extra mile to help me. I was utterly disappointed. Apparently there was availability, but an issue with the system to allocate the same room i was in to me.

The room was just a standard room with nothing special to commend it. The breakfast was not quite up to par. Never seen a hotel serve peanut butter and Kaya out of supermarket-bought jars! But the omelette was quite good.

We had an amazing time at the Amara Sanctuary Resort! All of the staff were amazing - Jennifer, Rachel, Sarah, Abel, Bryan & Shazriena, to name some of them…apologies if I’ve forgotten to put a name down! As I said, all of the staff were amazing & nothing was too much. They all went out of their way daily, to ensure that we had an amazing stay, at the resort. All of the staff are a credit to the Amara Sanctuary Resort…& they deserve a pay rise/bonus for this!

The villa was not properly cleaned and couple suite was ok

Cleaners came to clean the super sticky floor in whole villa and the private pool not sure why looks murky. Next day was clear. The 2nd buggy driver was horrible..sat in buggy waiting for us and didnt even bother to say hello or come down help my dil to bring up a luggage. He just sat there n yawned, looking bored. Expect better service. Breakfast Food was not good. Found a hair on fruits

Overall experience was a 5 to 6. As had expected better service for the per night of $900 plus and $600.

Place not well maintained given the high cost we paid.:(

Amara Sanctuary has to be the only underwhelming and disappointing villa experience in Sentosa.

I was with my 5year old (2 of us), managing my luggage and holding my child's hand as the lobby entrance was by a road. There were no other guests at the lobby and there were 2 hotel staff just standing there, watching me lean against the big glass door to hold it open to let my son in and push my luggage through. Given it was a hospitality establishment, some asistance would have been much appreciated.

Then came the buggy ride to take us to our room. The platform at the back of the buggy was quite high, and again no assistance was offered to at least load up the bag together. The staff stood there watching as I told my son to stand back from the road and I loaded the luggage myself.

We were dropped off in front of our room and the staff didn't dismount from the buggy at all, only pointed to the door and left.

Comparing to other hotel villas in Sentosa, where buggy-rides are needed to reach your room, the effort by staff at Amara Sanctuary was utterly disappointing. My child was asleep by the time our food delivery came and the hotel staff insisted I WALK to the lobby at night to collect my item. If the policy has to be strict on no assisting of sending items to guests, the least they could do is offer a buggy pick up?

Please work on your service standards to match the premium price your property charges.

It was tranquil checking in and overall a great stay. Didn't like the checkout experience, waiting to speak to a staff but there were many guests in the queue and was abruptly instructed to do drop key for express check out....i had wanted to speak to someone!
In the end after waiting some time , i did the drop key abd left. Not booking here again.

This is the first time I stayed in a hotel and checked out very early, because the hotels I stayed in before all checked out at 12pm, but Amara checked out at 11am, and I felt like I had to leave as soon as I woke up.

As soon as I entered the room, I found two dead insects on the sheet. Think about turning up the air conditioner and the insects won't come! So sleep well at night.

The toilet felt that it was not cleaned. When I flipped up the toilet lid, I found a drop of yellow urine, which was a little uncomfortable. I didn't take any pictures.

The room door lock, the equipment locked in the room is broken, but the inner lock at the bottom can be locked.

However, the staff are very kind. The explanation is also very detailed.

I was expecting more when I arrived, this place is very underwhelming. There was mould in the room. The place is in dire need of maintenance. The doors in our room had trouble closing properly. Had light globes flickering on and off. All of the pools on the property and their areas (tiles, pool chairs) need to be fixed or replaced. Jacuzzi was not working. I do not recommend any one to book here especially since it’s quite expensive for what you get.

The room was generally dirty, drinking glasses had stains, the bath tub had hair, phone in the bathroom was covered in dust. The reception people were made up of people unwilling to go the distance for guests and seem to be inexperienced which made it feel like a chalet more than a hotel. The hotel is generally old and needs a renovation really soon. Definitely won't be coming back. Although it's cheaper than most, the lousy experience just isn't worth the discount. Cleanliness and unprofessional staff are the main reasons why I won't come back. The infinity pool had towels thrown on a shelving and had uncleared food left on chairs. No one was giving out towels and we had to use the ones in our room.

Broken fixtures and non existent service

The Larkin Terrace where we stayed was really run down and in desperate need of a fix. The wooden planks along the deck has either fell apart or is uneven. There was another family who had a kid suffered an accident because of the broken wooden planks during our stay there.

Service was non-existent for a 5 star hotel. I had to walk to the front desk to talk to a staff about some enquiries because we called the operator twice and no one picked up. At the front desk, I was not greeted, and the staff was on the phone while talking to me.

There's a lot of potential for this place to be amazing. It has great views, the facilities are well placed in the hotel. It just needs a lot of fixing.

Had high hopes for Amara , price was not cheap. The hotel is extremely run down , especially when you are situated right beside barrack hotel, the contrast is big. The shower is rusty, corners of the floor are moldy. The property is old so wear and tear is normal but it is clearly due for an upgrade. Overall a disappointing experience.

We found the experience quite shocking. Shocking to see such a highly rated hotel in such poor condition. It seemed as if zero investment had gone into the upkeep of this hotel for quite some time, and they are massively understaffed. Here were a few things we noticed:
- We got the Couple Suite room. The decking around the pool was completely falling apart. Loose and broken planks everywhere. It’s just a matter of time before someone goes straight through the deck and really hurts themselves.
- litter everywhere. Old dishes, wrappers, things left behind by precious guest. Even after we mentioned it to the staff, it took all day for it to be cleaned up.
- The breakfast food in the only restaurant in the hotel, Shutters, was really poor. Very few options and poor quality.

I hate to leave a bad review, especially knowing how hard it is for hotels during Covid, but this experience was really very bad. This hotel is very run down but nothing has been done to adjust the prices to reflect that.. We really left feeling tricked.

No simple coffee machine, just nescafe classic packet coffee. TV is going to spoil soon, showing dual color. Bed is not comfortable.

living organisms in it. Pool toilet is in terrible condition.

Obviously short of staff. Year end peak season when rooms are booked out but staff numbers does not match. From the second we stepped into the hotel, there was simply no one to receive us, no security guard, no concierge and this is at 2pm local time. In room dining menu is very limited and their msg bot service actually missed our order, we waited an hr for food to arrive and thats only because we called to confirm the order. Even when we tried to call, calls were unanswered after 5-6 tries during morning local time. Pools were basically not maintained and unattended. This is definitely not a 5star hotel.

We liked the pools and the landscaping. Staff were also pleasant and helpful.

However, the Infinity Pool bathroom was dirty and dark, with roaches inside.

Property is also showing signs of wear and tear - the peeling wood veneer in the rooms, and stained bathroom floors. The bathrobe in the room had a huge hole, thankfully the staff were apologetic and changed it for us.

For the price we paid, this was disappointing and not good value for money. We won't be back.

Overall this hotel is OK. The service is decent but hit & miss. Lacks some spontaneity, no one introduced the facilities or the resort in general, no directions given to explore the surroundings. I had arrived earlier then the stipulated checkin and was thankful they were able to arrange a room relatively quickly, which included a slight upgrade from a double bed to a king and a fantastic view. The bed was VERY comfortable and I’m sure most would find pleasing. Tip: make sure you get complimentary breakfast/dining with your package as food costs are outrageous, breakfast (with 20% discount) cost $33, whilst dinner & dessert (chicken burger & ice cream) set me back $52! The food in general was well prepared and had decent flavour but I could never justify that cost anywhere. Additionally dine in was served to me in plastic containers… The whole time it felt like staff were rushing around but from what I could see capacity was low so I would assume they were heavily understaffed. As for the room and other areas of the grounds, this hotel should barely qualify for 3 stars; stains on bathroom tiling, cheap vinyl covering bathroom window (which had holes in it anyway), chipped veneer all over, aircon vents appeared never to have been cleaned, stained bedding, no balcony seating, ponds were left empty of water, roof tops strewn with dead foliage, elevators dirty carpets and scratches all over. In conclusion I found Amara to be quite sad and unkempt and wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Massive disappointment on a 50th birthday weekend

The property is definitely showing it's age. The staff tried their best but we had multiple issues with our stay: the cup and spoon provided was dirty, the shower knob in our bathroom didn't work so we had to move to another room at 1130pm, the bed in the original room was so squeaky/wobbly we thought we were going to break it just by sitting on it, the inside of the bathtub in our new room was discoloured/patched, the wood in the pool deck was splintered in places (with some of it protruding or falling off) and the breakfast we pre-ordered was super cold when it arrived. I understand that the whole hotel industry is struggling right now due to the pandemic BUT considering the price we paid per night (with no breakfast included either!), we expect a certain quality from a 5 star rated hotel. If this was $150/night, I'd just let it go but we paid around $537 a night for 3 nights for my husbands 50th birthday weekend. As it was a big birthday for him, we decided to splurge on our staycation and it was a massive disappointment - such a difference from our last stay with them.

Property is old and not maintained, outdoor pool has algae and the filter was not fully closed in the pool.
Bottom of pool seems sandy and have missing tiles too.
It doesn't seem safe if kids are to swim in the 1.4m pool.
Kids pool look like stale water with algae nearby.

Shower head was very weak and jacuzzi area seating looks dirty as well.

Bed was dusty and aircon has to be left on the entire time to be cold.

Arrived 3 plus but could only check in at 4pm. The reception did comp two drinks at the bar and breakfast so well done on this customer recovery.

The suite access to the deck and pool is great. The layout is pretty good but if you look closely, the furniture is old and weary. The doors are moldy and the overall compound is littered with too much leaves. See photos attached.

The mosquitoes are pretty vicious so definitely wear tons of repellent. Called for housekeeping twice for mosquito coil and towels but it never came. I couldn’t be bothered to call back for the third time 😂

The long pool did give me some pretty photos! :)

The stay was great, we got to the sky pool all to ourselves due to Covid restriction. My advise is to book the pool early as only one family per slot. Breakfast menu was limited but delicious

My kid loves the room cos room big, king size bed big and comfortable, and the pool looks clean to her and she have enjoyable time at room esp the private pool that she almost cant bear leave the place for check out. I feel comfortable too, and my gal have allergic senstive nose but she did not sneeze during the staycation which is good, and the vinyl floor seems clean too.The shuttle bus nearest to the hotel is not to far to walk from, and we have any of the 3 sentosa bus to go to which is good. Nice compliementary fridge drinks and enough bottled water as well to last for 1 nite stay. The sheltered cover at the pool is good as there was big wind n rain last night but the fallen leaves did not fall into our private pool to create a mess. Also gd tt we did not have any mozzie war at all throughout the stay, or maybe at night we used the hotel's insect repellent did help :)

Hotel staffs are all friendly and nice, including a buggy driver offered to drive us near main road when passing by us.

Just alittle tiny bit disappointed that there wasnt warm water type of jacuzzi i read on website but lucky still, it was cool temperature (not too cold) to enjoy the mini pool.

The room price definitely worth the stay overall!

My girlfriend love the bathtub view of the pool. Bed was comfy. Staff was friendly and helpful. But was rather disappointed with the condition of the facilities considering the price we paid for a night stay. The wooden flooring are in poor condition at the pool. Certain sections are uneven. You could see some of the wooden plank dislodged. The tv in the room is not working properly. Probably is time for the hotel management to look into those issues.

Hotel has not been renovated in years. Our room wasn’t ready at check in time, food at the hotel was of really low quality, etc overall not sure why the hotel is so expensive with such bad service and low quality of rooms

I love the privacy and greeny of the place, just that the soundproofing has to be improved as we can constantly hear our neighbor.

The housekeeping trolleys also made quite a lot of noise while being push from point A to B, I would suggest looking into better wheels that are pneumatic which might be easier to maneuver, and also a lot quieter.

Amazing weekend stay!

Me and my partner had an amazing weekend stay. It was to celebrate my partner’s birthday. The customer service given by the hotel was absolutely wonderful especially to Tommy Liew, the Reservation Manager. I had like 1001 requests and he went the extra miles to accommodate to my crazy requests. Everything was just on point and what I had expected. Thumbs up! Of cos, my partner was in awe and he, too loved it !
