Stayed for 2 weeks and got 5 £100 parking tickets despite putting the car reg into electronic parking pad on a regular basis! Had to return to the hotel on 5 occasions to have them cancelled! This was only possible as was staying at the hotel whilst moving house and now live not far away would have been a nightmare if holidaying!!! Very unimpressed!

Great check-in, a smile, friendly efficient service from a new member of staff, with an experienced colleague on hand.
Room was superficially clean - linen and towels good, bathroom mainly ok, but floor was needing more attention. This room needs a deeper clean - skirting boards were dirty and dusty. There was broken crockery, cleaned and back on the tray and a broken lamp.
The price was fair, we stay regularly but not frequently, but will consider other options next time. NB we had a dog and happily paid the additional cleaning charge. But the cleanliness issues were definitely not canine. The housekeepers probably do not have much time to turn rooms around, but better deeper cleaning is required. Breakfast fair,, other than poor hot drinks - half cups of not hot enough water.

Overall I had a pretty good stay at EK Holiday Inn. There’s a gym and a pool, it also includes sauna, steam room and hot tub. The restaurant is quite nice, simple menu but everything was quite tasty, also breakfast included continental and hot British food. I was also really happy with the staff, everyone was nice and helpful both at the hotel and the gym. There’s a couple of things that really bothered me tho, otherwise it would have been a 4 stars review: WiFi was awful, almost didn’t work at all, couldn’t entertain myself unable to watch anything on my laptop or phone, also the reception of my phone wasn’t good there so I was kinda counting on an average connection that would work decently, there was cable tv in the room but it didn’t work. I went to ask if I could upgrade and pay for better WiFi since they had a private connection but the receptionist said it wasn’t possible… the other thing is the most important, which is cleanliness standards. The rug was dusty and had stains on it, there was dust a bit everywhere, on the lamps, in the bathroom ventilation grid, inside the wardrobe along with hair and socks that probably belonged to the previous person that was in the room (gross), the bedsheet smelled, once again, DUSTY, and there was that orangey slime in the shower that makes me think they haven’t properly cleaned it (I also found the lid of some hair product in the shower). Towels only got changed once in 3 days. I didn’t say anything to not be rude to the staff.

The room was dated and not clean with broken lampshades and black mould around shower. Day 1 no tea or coffee provided in room.
Morning staff were lovely however evening bar staff had long way to go to reach same standards. Made me feel I was an inconvenience interrupting her conversation to serve a drink. Hotel was adequate at best. Would not go back.

It wasn't fixed and was told the following morning that there was a problem getting parts. We should have been given another room. Wouldn't stay again as we were also told other rooms were like that. We had a poor night's sleep as a result.

The room was not ready even after an hour since check in time. The air con was broken- was only given a small fan for the room to compensate. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable. The bathroom was overly hot. The room was tired and dirty. The breakfast area was very messy- floors and seats with food on them, just overall letdown.

I really enjoyed my stay. The food choices were not really suitable for me from the menu although the chef made me french toast with a tomato and without the extras. Sugar and berries? for Sunday brunch.
I enjoyed the hot tub, but the water was a lot hotter than I expected. The gym is also very good.

My only suggestion would be for the cleaners to clean the basin of the shower on the outside as well as it was very dusty all around but overall it was a pleasant stay.

Disappointing.
Underestimated how noisy it would be.Could still hear traffic noise in room.
Corridors,and room above noisy with creaking floors and banging and crashing of fire doors in hall. Tedious.
Limited parking near to main entrance so had to park around other side of hotel every day. No entrance back into hotel from there so forced to walk right around hotel to get back into building.
Room OK but on ground floor with doors as light source. Thus couldn't let any air in without opening doors to outside car park area, which I didn't want to do.
The whole thing hasn't been thought through properly.

The trip wasnt so good, for a start after using hotel.coms new ai booking tool we tried to get a hotel for the baby event in the sec glasgow and it suggested us this one, just a warning it takes roughly about 20 / 30 mins in a taxi or car to get to glasgow, unsure why it suggested this hotel in the first place, The room we were given was 23 on the ground floor 1 room and a set of fire doors to the event room which actually had something running that evening, considerably loud bassy music playing, people going out fire exits, congragating in these areas and being loud and using the coridors to walk along, the room itself, although this place has been renovated recently there are stains in the room, on the carpets, in seceral places some sort of red liquud stain, the bathroom became like a sauna with absolout no ventilation at all leaving the floor absoloutly soking, the vent was clogged with fluff, on speaking with bar staff at the venue we asked if there were any cocktails available and were told a firm no and the lady just got on with her job. But we later noticed on the room service there is some sort of cocktail menu, all in all most of the staff were nice, facilities were decent rooms were ok bed was small,

An average stay with poor sleep.

Hotel is not bad. A wee bit of TLC needed in pool area and in rooms. Negative, is that reception tried to charge me again for a room I had already paid for. The single beds in the twins rooms are on wheels and roll with any movement. Sound proofing is terrible and you hear every movement in the corridor and unfortunately we are near the lift. Also, until 1pm there was loud dance music from I presume their function room that kept us awake in room 107, bloody awful sleep as a result. Maybe that's to be expected at the weekend. Positives is the lovely staff in bar and a very good bowl of nachos with our pints. Also, a decent shower.

Executive room was a bit disappointing. Large enough and quite comfortable but looking out over tatty adjacent building roof and back end of car park wasnt great. Tea & coffee provided consisted of ONE tea bag and ONE packet of bicuits and four sachets of coffee (ignoring the posh coffee machine with!) An overnight stay for two people wirh ONE tea bag - not good enough IHG. Yes we got some more teabags from reception no questions - but shouldn't need to get dressed and walk to reception to get them...

The pool is actually the local pool with half of it was being used for swimming classes. The whole gym area is too small for the number of people using it.
Hotel room is a bit aged with what looked like a double mattress on a single bed base.
Thought I'd booked with breakfast included but they had no record of this so had to pay £16 on the day for a mediocre breakfast.

Breakfast was very good but there was a special menu for the dinner which was not good. We would not have normally chosen anything on the menu and the food was average at best.
I wouldn’t choose the dinner option again.
TV was not showing any BBC channels and it took 3 requests for the problem to be sorted which was done the night before we left!

We have had a good 1 night stay. The restaurant and lounge looked lovely and modern, breakfast was excellent, big bottles of toiletries in the bathroom. We used the pool both Saturday and Sunday, water temperature was good and there was no big crowd of people. Bedroom was a bit noisy due to traffic and neighbours despite of me using my earplugs, but overall we had a good time.

My room was up graded to an executive,nice and spacious as was the shower room

There were a few ware and tare spots which could do with a touch up in the room and the coffee machine looked dusty!
Evening meal was good different prices and items on the menu then what I was charged.
And can't do vat receipts have to send them to you via email!

Has a leisure center which guest's can use but I didn't.
Would probably stay again when in the area.

eWe had booked a double room however when we arrived we had two single beds. As they were on wheels we pushed them together and decided to deal with it however not very comfortable as they kept moving and we kept slipping down the gap. A bit disappointing when it was clearly stated we requested a double bed. Other than this, it’s an average hotel, everything needed for a quick stay. Highlight has to be the pool with a sauna and steam room and which was super clean and comfortable. The stuff throughout our stay were all excellent, special mention to the girl working reception on the morning of the 18th. Super helpful and kind.

Hotel was conveniently located at the edge of East Kilbride. Our room was at the far end of the hotel, which was surprising as the hotel wasn’t busy & we joked about needing a taxi to get there!
Room was big, as was the bed, but definitely needs updating. Patches of what looked like mould on the net curtains, big stain on the carpet & the bottom of the bathroom door looked like someone attacked it with a hatchet! Only one side of the bed had a plug socket & the other side had the light controls, so one person could charge their phone & the other could work the lights. We left the room one day to find a pile of towels & linen on the floor outside our room. Came back later & it was still there.
One good thing - the shower controls were at the opposite end of the shower, so you can turn on the shower & adjust the temp without getting soaked.

Staff were lovely. However the hotel itself needs refurbishment. Doesn't really live up to expectations for a Holiday Inn. Slightly odd damp smell in the room upon arrival. Room walls scraped. Bottom of bathroom door peeling. Lightbulbs not all working in the room. Smallest TV imaginable for the size of room. Too many little things not quite right. A shame really.
