The staff was excellent! They helped w our heavy luggage and where very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. It was situated in a very convenient spot to go walking to nearby places. Felt safe the entire time. Only negative thing I can say is that it doesn’t have AC (we where there in early August) but it wasn’t that bad without it.

I loved my small attic room, very cozy. It had everything I needed. The bed was supremely comfortable. The tub was very deep and I used that every night! The staff was very friendly. I love the location in the student part of town. There are lots of nice places to eat and drink that were friendly and low-key.

Hotel Leonardo Edinburgh City 5-Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The entire staff was amazing and went above and beyond to accommodate us, and answer all questions. One desk agent gave us a 220v European adapter so we could use our 115v chargers. The manager gave us a history lesson about the hotel, Sir Sean Connery was born in this hotel back in the 1920’s when the building was an actual birthing hospital for women, which was so awesome! He also had me follow him all the way out to the street and he showed me exactly where to go park our car and walk back. The continental breakfast is the absolute best breakfast we have ever had, in all of our worldly travels. The layout for the oatmeal was unbelievable; all containers were full of FRESH condiments for the oatmeal; cranberries, oranges, coconut, almonds, raisins, brown sugar, walnuts, and more. Unbelievably good!!

Functional hotel. Amazing historic building but building really needs an update. Room was hot and stuffy, window did open but onto a main road. Huge wardrobe in a tiny room made room difficult to use. Shower over bath was ancient. Towels were old and thin/hard.

Shower was very uncomfortable, having only 2 feet between wall and shower curtain was not pleasant, since there was no way to shower without curtain being against you. We had a ground floor room and was a good size which allowed room for the double sofa bed for our son. The bathroom was kitted out for disabled but this made the bath and showers really narrow due to the safety handle on the wall. There were a few things in the bathroom that needed some old. Shelf for towels falling off. Edges of door and tiles a bit tired etc but overall a nice stay. We didn’t eat there as breakfast seemed expensive and we had already had to pay a lot extra for moving the stay due to my husband not being well so ate out for cheaper

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Leonardo hotel Edinburgh, and I can confidently say it was one of the best hotel experiences I've had. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and impeccable service.

The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and spotlessly clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep, Every detail, from the high-quality linens to the thoughtful amenities, was carefully considered.
Breakfast was excellent.

What truly set this hotel apart was the staff. The receptionist I encountered was friendly, attentive, and eager to make my stay special. They went above and beyond to accommodate requests.

Overall, Leonardo hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. this hotel is a fantastic choice. I can’t wait to return.

It was somewhat walkable to Old Town - but a little more of a hike than some other options. There’s no parking, so if you have a car, you’ll have to find a place to park overnight.

We enjoyed two nights here and aside from the longer walk from attractions, we’d stay again.

This boutique hotel is in a quiet street close to Grassmarket and the castle area. I enjoyed my three nights there however, it is an expensive hotel for one person only. If two people stay there in the high season then I’d recommend it, otherwise, I don’t think you get anything for what you pay. No fridge, no coffee maker, no free water bottles, generic tea and instant coffee, no cable t.v., toiletries were basically soap and body cream, etc…. I wouldn’t complain if it weren’t for the cost. Having said that, the staff were very nice and accommodating and friendly. I don’t know why they call it a boutique hotel, it’s basically a small hotel that used to be a hospital and it’s in a historic building.

This hotel was very nice for the price range and had everything we needed. The only complaint is that we a little farther from the Royal Mile than we wanted to be. It is still walkable but around a 15-20 minute walk.

The property served our needs. It was about a 5-7 minute walk to Grass Market…8-10 minute walk to the Royal Mile. There were shops and places to eat even closer. The area was quiet and safe. Our room was clean and roomy. I would recommend this property and stay there again.

Comfy beds, weedy shower/ tap pressure, no point attempting a bath so why not just have a shower. Didn’t need to change towels that they did as were left hanging up but should have cleared and replenished the tea/ coffee tray. Tv remote batteries almost dead . However lovely helpful and honest staff who found a shopping item I’d C left in the room and returned it ( as we left our bags after checking out to collect lster)

Property was quiet. Loved that in room kettle and coffee were provided. Being an American I was unfamiliar with putting key card in socket to get lights to work. Front desk didn’t mention it when checking in and looked at me like I was unwell when I asked how to turn the lights on. Other than that the stay was perfect.

El hotel a pesar de que en el anuncio refiere estacionamiento NO LO HAY. Lo cual fue un gran inconveniente puesto que teníamos un coche y tuvimos que estacionarlo en un estacionamiento público a aproximadamente 2km de distancia y estaba lloviendo. Si llevas coche busca otra opción.

El cuarto que nos tocó está a pie de calle (PB la recepción y restaurante están en el sótano) y no se podía abrir la ventana y hacia calor y no se cuenta con aire acondicionado.

El hotel tiene desayuno incluido sin opción de restaurante en otros horarios.

First let me say the staff here are excellent and kind. However this property is way overpriced for what u get - in a month in staying in a dozen hotels I feel totally rip off for what you get here. Dirty carpets, shower head falls out if the wall with water pouring in out of the plumbing pipe small rooms torn sheets . Windows are doubled up hardly open. If you pay more than 100 pounds for this place ur getting ripped off. I paid 300. Not happy but if you pre book in several nights and the property is crap you have no way out. The rating is not correct and is unfair to the hotels that actually are decent. Stay away from this Leonardo hotel it is not like others in this brand. I just hope they pay their staff well because that is all they have.

Quiet neighborhood near Uni. Comfortable accommodations. Once we figured out how to adjust the temperature, we were very happy. An outlet nearer to the large mirror would have been appreciated.

The castle visit

We arrived at the hotel and were delt with very well but only got access to one of our rooms(302)as the other (408) was still being cleaned we went to rest awaiting a phone call alerting us to its readyness this didnt come it turns out phone in the room was broken
When we did get to our other room it waa very nice apart from the absence of curtains on the small window and a lose tile on the bathroom floor which was sorted for when we returned from our evening. all in all we had a good stay.

I was extremely pleased with this hotel. The location was phenomenal for a tourist -- just down the street from Grassmarket and a short walk from there to Princess Street, the castle, Royal Mile, etc. In the other directions were quieter but still active neighborhoods with endless options for food and drinks. The hotel itself was a bit dated but well maintained. I was pleasantly surprised with how quiet the room was, despite my being on the ground floor right up against the reception area. I would stay here again in a heartbeat for my next visit.

Lovely staff!

The staff were amazing. They were really helpful and upgraded our rooms with no hesitation and offered free parking on site as we were staying for 3 nights. They were informative about the area and gave lots of recommendations.

This is an older property but well maintained. The room was large with high celling. Early check-in was not problem. The room was well equipped and additional coffee/tea supplies request was granted quickly. It was a stuffy in the room but a fan is supplied that helped. Room cost increased substantially without real explanation when additional night booked (220.50 to 359.GBP). I was able to cancel without issue and was able to book elsewhere. This is a very nice hotel that is totally accessible. They could add a recycling bin in the rooms. I would recommend.
